Number fourteen, I've got the Indianapolis Colts. Wow, just because
I think Philip Rivers is so awesome. I can't believe
he's actually played statistically well. But they're ower and two.

You'd think he'd be terrible and maybe they squeak out
wins here or there, but nope, oh and.

I'm gonna go with Tampa Bay just because I feel
like I have to.

I feel like they're gonna play in that Sunday Night
football spot winner take all for the NFC South. But
number fifteen is not a good team at all. And
I almost wanted to put the Saints in there, who
have played some really good football one three.

you didn't mention either of the teams that played on
Sunday that that I was at the game, and I
have them both in our in the fifteenth So so
I think I know what you did with each of
those teams, which kind of surprised me. Number eleven the

the top ten are pretty garbage, ten and up are
pretty solid football teams right now, teams that are really

Yeah. I have a real hard time. I mean, you think,
I think you're not gonna like my number ten cause
you think they're going to be higher. But that's how
I feel like the top ten is really good. Number ten,
I have the Buffalo Bills.

That's insane, that's just wrong. Why because they struggled in Cleveland?

Well, I mean they didn't look. Okay, I have not one.
I have nine teams of ahead of them that I
all that I think have had better runs here recently.
I still wonder about the Bills.

See that's where I just disagree completely. I think the
Bills have been on a run.

I told you disagree with it, so I predicted that
you were right. I'm ready to take your bullets. I

So I'm thinking they're a good team. And there's nine

you do not want to see New Orleans march into
your stadium right now. Number nine. I got the Houston
Texans at number nine.

Okay, I have the Houston EXAs well. Okay, I have
the LA Chargers at number nine.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
The Texans are number eighteen because the Chargers are number
around there in the same neighborhood with the Chargers and
the Texans. Start with the Texans. It was a bit
of a clunker against the Raiders. I laid a huge
spread thinking that they would you know, blow them out,
and lost that one in our picks. But actually, you
know what, in hindsight, I should have seen that coming.

That is such an easy letdown game.

Right. It was at home for Houston, so they're just
gonna kind of ho hum their way through it. They
were in.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Control of the game. Yeah, the score looked tighter than
it was, but you got the win. And now you
have the finish of the LA Chargers the Indianapolis Colts
these next two weeks, so you had some games on
the horizon where that could be a bit trap gamy,
and you were coming off of a real run of impressive.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Victories leading into that game.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I mean, it was a total letdown spot and the
best thing that they did was they let down based
on how they looked. But they also got the win anyway,
so you can burn that tape if you want to
and just move on completely to the Chargers.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Right, And you know how I want to say, I
think across the I'm gonna say it now. I'm going
I'm gonna toot my own ardor I was on the
Texans vandwagon before anybody else in the in the country
was ago Texans. So but so I actually I moved
them down a few spots. Even again, I'm a number eight.
I had them up. I don't know what I had

them last week. You can find it. The archives are
out there. Nobody can listen. So I still believe in
the Texans again the Chargers. So that's why I had
them still a little bit above the Chargers. That the
Chargers are like I said, Man, this AFC, you can
go so many directions with this. It's it's the I
mean that we thought the Cowboys would show up, and
I really thought that that would have been a I

don't say a trap game per se, but that the
Cowboys were eliminated. But I still thought they were, you know,
because of where they're at and what they're I thought
they would play better than that. And that the blame
for that falls to the Chargers and where they're at
so whatever. Charger's top ten, number nine and.

Number eight for me. They played the Texans this Saturday.
There you go, it'll great games thirty. Yeah, they're gonna
settle out on the field. The Chargers are this team
though that I always or excuse me, I keep expecting.
Actually I do always expect them to do this, but
this year I expect them to fall off when that
tackle injury happens. And that kind of really started around
the Steelers game, like that first kind of because that

was the first game Alt was out for the year
on and it was like, Okay, they're very vulnerable. They're
banged up in the backfield. It's just gonna be too
much for them to overcome this season.

They have won what is it now, six straight games,
four straight games for the LA Chargers.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
They are keeping pace with the Denver Broncos. Did a
huge favor Dune ton't by.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
The Jacksonville Jaguars this past week beating Denver. So the
Chargers are now just a game back. You went out,
you win the AFC West. If you're the Chargers, that's
on the table for you at this moment. You play
the Texans this week, you finish against Denver. You already
beat Denver this year, so you'd sweep the season series,
you'd win the tiebreaker over them, no questions asked. So
I gotta really start tipping my cap to these guys,

and Jim Harborugh in particular, because there are so many
reasons for them to just kind of slide back and
kind of take the Cults are out of things and
fade out of the playoff picture and try to hang
on by the skin of their teeth.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
But no, they are winning games. They're peaking at the
right time.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
And just like I said in a previous thing with
the Steweers went out there and took the AFC North,
the Chargers went out there and took control of a
wild card spot, and now I've clinched one.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
I think a lot of ways it reminds me of
what we did to the forty nine ers, and I
kind of wrote them off when they had some Maybe
all other guys back is a thing other than Fred Warner.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Miners are a little more scary.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah. Yeah, Because the Chargers lost you, you lose both
your tackles. You kind of feel like your season it
just ain't gonna happen for you, so that's still is
a concern going forward. But you're right, they've won seven
out of eight so since and they lost their all
got injured during the game. That the six out of
seven of that run, right, So it kind of shows
where they're at. And you know, at this point you

got to believe in what they're what they've done, the
next man up mentality of course, and what where they're
at right now, judgmable where they are. Don't worry about
who's out or whatever, Judgma, but what there are and
what they're doing. And yeah, they're a legitimate you know,
it's tough because again the AFC is such a such
a and we expect the Chargers just to charge her
to do the not do the verb thing with them

and not not make a run. But at the same time,
you're right, very sneakily here they they could all all
of a sudden be like a two seed, like you know,
I don't know, we're worried about the making the playoffs,
and they might be one of the favorites. Officide, do I.

Sneak you want Denver to fall back into that five
seed and coming to Pittsburgh and get into a rock
fight it's a great defense. Though for the Broncos, it
would make you a bit nervous that I.

Didn't even you know what that's So that's six posts.
I didn't even think about the Broncos as a post.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
They could, I think are a very real possibility. Put
it this way, if the Chargers beat the Texans, I
think it's gonna.

Be the Broncos fall into the wildcard. I realize that's
that I was. I knew that Jacksonville and Houston and
Buffalo and the Chargers of course in New England, I didn't.
I didn't get factor in the Denver could be that
team that could fall. They right, and they absolutely could.
That would be that would be It's weird because they're
the one seed, and in some ways you're probably right
in a weird you can make a strong case. To me.

I'm not saying for sure, but if I could pick
one of the other six teams the Steelers to play,
I might just say, I mean, bo Nick's on the
road and the playoff.

Although Justin Herbert ain't exactly that great in the playoffs
either doesn't have the best track record, so.

I've got the San Francisco forty nine ers.

Here is what I have. So that's just kind of
foretelling what I think of the Broncs a little bit
less than maybe the record shows from my point of view. Okay,
but seem you'll see what I did with the Niners
a little bit right. I'm very excited to I like, Yo,
I'm already disappointed you once, so I can't wait to
disappoint you more and more because you're gonna have the
bills like a two or something, and I'll be like.

The San Francisco forty nine ers, I think are a
team that can get to the Super Bowl, a team
that can maybe even win the Super Bowl, and no
one's really talking about them until just about now.

I think they're starting to kind of realize who they are.

I mean, they have a shot at the one seat
still in the NFC.

They by beating.

Who did they beat this past weekend? The Colts. I'm

They blew them out in Indianapolis.

You know, they bumped the Rams, who I think a
lot of people think might be the best team in
football still all the way down to the sixth seed,
hanging on by.

A little bit of a thread.

I know they're already clinched, but still, it's amazing how
deep this NFC is, and it's amazing how great the
Niners are. With the injury adversity they faced. They won't
have Fred Warner, they won't have Bosa, but they have
overcome those and they have overcome anything that's been dealt
their way.

I think Kyle Shanahan should.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Be Coach of the Year.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
He's not going to get it because the expectations for
the Niners at the beginning of the season was to
kind of be like this. Injuries kind of derailed and
changed those expectations or should have, but they're kind of
arriving at the same spot people might have expected them to.
And Coach of the Year just doesn't get awarded to
that player. The Coach of the Year gets awarded the
team that was predicted to win three games and wins thirteen.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
We'll see, and it's probably one because the Bears are
pretty good at defensively, but they have a chance to
go the entire month of December without punting. If they
don't punt against the Bears, they will go there. Now
they had to buy a week, so yeah, and then
November thirtieth, so it worked out like perfectly to make this.
But still to go to the entire cowlendar month without
punting is on the table for the forty nine ers.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
And you know, it's amazing about that. Well, not amazing
about that, but what I think is the reason for that.
Christian McCaffrey's having a first team All Pro type of season,
is having an MVP season.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Kind of quiet right now.

Yeah, he's the he is the driving force for that
Niners offense in that football team.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yeah, and you just it's almost like you kind of
because we've been so trained out to put an internal
clock I think on running backs to think that they're
all they're washed up, and like I do that, Like
I'm like, oh, he's past his prime, and then he
get hurt last year and you forget it. Yeah, it's hurt.
That's part of it too. So he's twenty nine years old.

It's like in the league for thirty years. He was
in Carolina when I was entering fifth grade. Well, this
is his ninth season exactly.

That is crazy. He's going to the Hall of Fame

Yeah. I mean he's up to He's already up to
rushing yard yards from scrimmage, man, I.

He's one of only three backs to have a thousand
yards receiving and rushing in a season. I mean Marshall
Faulk Roger Craig being the other two.

He's approaching thirteen thousand yards from scrimmage from his first career.
This will be his third unless he gets hurt. Third
two thousand yards from scrimmage season and he had another one.
He's nineteen sixty one thousand, nine and sixty five, so
I mean, yeah, he's uh. In the years he pretty
much the years he didn't is when he got hurt.
He's had four seasons where he played seven games or fewer,
so that that kind of the only thing that's really

held him back. So between his injuries and you think, right,
you think he's thirty four years old or whatever. You
think his age, you kind of write him off every year.
I think he's not, but he is. You watch that
guy everybody Monday night. If you're an NFL fan, you
watch those games, and he's a nami because he probably
ever was really and that's that's a big part of it. Yeah.

So all right, your number seven was the Denver Broncos.
That's fitting because my number six is the Denver Broncos.

But it's also the Chicago Bears. Tie a tie. Oh
we almost had a perfect season. You we went seventeen
weeks with that, a tie in the top god tie.
I remember, was I even fifteen like eight teams.

Now, some people might speculate out there that I forgot
to put the Denver Broncos in my power rankings until
we sat down here and we're getting towards the top five,
and I was like, holy crap, I don't have the
Denver Broncos in here.

I have to figure out a way to force feed
him in there.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Some people who might who would do that's total bs.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
That is fake news. This is a tie. Okay.

If the AP voters can do it in college football,
I can do it in my power ranking.

So you went for tie for fifty and went right
to six. That's that's another curious that's a curious way
to do things. No, they're tied for sixth they're tied
for six and I had seven. Yeah yeah, sorry, yeah,
yeah yeah.

That's again lending evidence, lending evidence to the theory that
I just squeezed this in here last minute.

You had the fifteen and I'm like, who did he

place time first place. When you major rankings, the first
thing you did was a tie for six the other
day when then fell out the rest?

Denver laid a pretty decent egg against Jacksonville, or did
Jacksonville make a huge statement against Denver? I think that
if you wanted to be anti Denver, you could argue
the first thing. If you wanted to be pro Jacksonville
pro Denver, you could argue the other way and say,
oh no, that was just a team Jacksonville. They're they're
really playing good football, And hey, Denver, we want a

ton of games in a row, right, like it's time
for us to maybe come back down to earth.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
And I'll say this a lot of teams.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
When they get into the playoffs on like a twelve
thirteen game win streak, I feel like you're due at
some point, right, especially in the NFL, And then when
the competition gets a lot better, it might not be
the worst thing to get a nice regular season loss
under your belt before you make that playoff run, kind
of hit that reset point. The problem with them, though,
is what we just talked talked about with the Jajas,

that lost to Jacksonville opened the door for LA to
win the West.

Speaker 3 (17:06):
Yeah, and you know, you're right, in some ways you
could say that was the second most yards they had offensively,
in some ways they looked as dynamic and side. It's
a pretty good defense too, as as good offense. I mean,
they scored twenty points, but you may you almost feel
a little bit better about bo Knicks and the offense. But
from that game and that result. But they're saying, yeah,
losing a game at home where you have that advantage

against against the Jaguars and the fact that you know
you're supposed to be this team, that's that's your calling
card if you're going somewhere the Denver with apologies their
offense and r. J. Harvey looks a good rookie running back,
and they have a good I mean, they're not a
bad offense. But if you're if you're gonna win the
Super Bowl with le BRONC goes right your your recipe,
your path is your defense is gonna be suffocating. It's

gonna be it's gonna be the best in the league
over those four weeks, and and it's arguably been up
there with the teams like the Texans and the Seahawks
and the Browns all the enough if you think about
the best defense is really in an NFL, And if
you're going this season the twenty twenty five Broncos, to win,
your defense has to be dominant. So to have on
your home field, Jacksonville come in there and drop a

thirty four on you, that's probably the most concerning part
is I didn't think I thought this team was gonna
hold everybody to twenty five or least they might lose them,
you know whatever. It is. So for that to happen,
especially at home, is a little bit concerning from the
Broncos point of view. But you're right, I do think
that we've all been sleeping on the Jaguars because they're
the Jaguars, and we just assume they're gonna man lol Jaguars,

and assume they're not any good and they're actually probably
better than we've been giving credit for.

the Bears are your five team. My five team is Jacksonville.
That's why I have the Jaguars checking in as.

In full disclosure, I would probably have the Jags ahead
of the Bears. But I have on record to saying
that I have to I have to love the Bear.
I owe the Bear some of my affection because I
hated them and they I did say that I'd be
very hard on them, so I need to make it
up to them and to kiss up to the Bears
and say, I'm very sorry I didn't respect you. I apologize.
I'm not very smart. You're brilliant, you.

you're right in one area. They ain't going to the
super Bowl this year. They play too many tight games.
They're trailing too many times in the fourth quarter.

You can't live like that. In three straight weeks against
playoff teams and it's good.

Yeah, you're right on that. But it's been a step
forward for them. Oh, they're going to host the playoff
game probably, they've done everything. Actually, they most likely will.
It's going to be hard for the Packers to catch
them now. And in some ways it's it's almost a
compliment to them because I wondered the Bears what they've
been and just Kayleb Williams, because we know Kayla Williams
is all the talent in the world, and you wondered,
kind of if he had that, I would have thought,

you know what, I don't know if I trust him
in the weighty moments, those type of things, and they've
proven the exact opposite of that to me. So in
some ways it's a compliment. You know, you feel almost
better that they're kind of squeaking by on these games.
That makes sense that I feel like that this is
a team you can build forward and I think it

that in the back of my head as a possibility
for the Ravens to win. But Packers have a little
bit of desperation as well. If the Lions lose to

the Vikings on Christmas Day, then the Packers clinch. So
the Packers might just put their hands up and say
forget it, We're not really gonna try against the Ravens.

And they can't.

But if the Lions beat the Vikings, and with Max
Brosmer starting and the Lions being a good football team,
I don't think they're gonna just tank. I think they're
gonna put the pressure on the Packers. Green Bay is
going to have to go out there with a sense
of urgency to win that game to clinch. They don't
have their playoff spot wrapped up.

Yet and the Bears have the forty nine ers in Lions,
so that the Packers are still alive for the demension though,
so even if they clinch a playoff spot, it's it's
kind of a long shot, I guess, but although I
mean if the Niners, who beat the Bears, which in
the Bears are the grest team ever go on record

So all of a sudden, then what the Bears followed

at eleven and five and the Packers are ten, so
they they're within a half a game of the division
lead with so then you're playing for like, you know,
the two or the three seed. So no, so the
no scenario where the Packers were probably packing in and
you know, maybe they lose that little bit of I
don't think so, though, So I don't think that's going
to be a factor in this at all at some point. So,
but that being said, the Ravens know, no matter what
they do, there's nothing to was seeding, nothing to do.

It's just in the playoffy're out of the playoff, you

you know, the Packers aren't home, and you're right, I
think they're a better backup quarterback if it comes to that,
and right now they have the better starting quarterback if

my first pick. Buffalo at home against the Philadelphia Eagles.

I think it's too small of a line right now.
I think there's a little too much respect going in
the eagles favor there. I think Josh Allen just he
has got the Cape on foolly. Now it's no more
going into the booth and coming out as Clark Kent
Josh Allen. It's Superman Josh Allen for the rest of
the year, and he'll he'll win this game by like
ten points.

I think I have that as my second pick too,
so I would, Yes, I don't know. I keep one
to say I've got a fourth one just just to
be a contrarian to you. But it just shows I'm
so good at picking games. Based on my twenty one
and twenty seven records both so we have like mind
of being below average.

My second pick is Tampa Bay minus five and a half.
Tampa Bay is fighting for their lives right now now.
If they lose, Carolina plays Seattle, so there's a chance
that that doesn't matter. If they lose, they still play
for all the marbles in Week eighteen against the Panthers.
But they need to get a win, right. They need
to start feeling good about themselves. It's in Miami, yours
is terrible. Miami looked awful against the Dolphins. Against the Bengals.
They've completely packed it in.

So what's going on with the Dolphins? They quit and
then they fight like hell, and then they again.

I think Tampa Bay will win by over a touchdown
to again keep pace with Carolina.

it's really it's fascinating. Like I'd like to do more
of a deeper dive and see what it means for
quarterback and what it means for what that aspect of
being an NFL quarterback, how much depending it is on
that And maybe maybe even today Aaron Rodgers will be available.
You have to practice. Maybe I'll try to. There's a

half on the road against Tennessee. They are playing football, baby,
the playing good football. The Saints go to Tennessee and
take out the Tennessee Titans by more than a field goal.

Steelers and Browns prediction. I don't think the game is
gonna matter.

First and foremost, I think that the Packers will beat
the so the Steelers will clinch the North on Saturday
night with you.

Steelers beat the Browns something like twenty seven to thirteen,
something like that. Brown's once Garrett gets that sack, that
half a sack, that full sack, he's quitting for the
rest of the season. So I got the Steelers beating
the Browns, but I don't think it's gonna matter anyway.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
Yeah, I think the Steelers will beat the Browns. I
think yeah. Regardless of whether it matters or not, I
think the Steelers will take care of business up there.
I think even without DK Metcalf, maybe because Aaron Rodgers'
brains we just talked about, the offense is just enough
to be able to get it done up there. They'll
win twenty three to sixteen.
