We explain that disengaging is not about disappearing or failing, but rather an opportunity for stepmoms to step back, reflect, and grow in order to be their best selves and support their families. Our conversation emphasizes the importance of giving space for everyone in the blended family to learn their roles and redefine relationships in a healthy way. 

Tamara Johnson, aka Tammy J, resides a few minutes outside of Detroit, Michigan with her husband, their 7-year-old son, and her 16-year-old stepson. After saying "I do" in 2013, Tammy began her journey in the world of step-parenting. 

Juggling the struggles of being a step mommy with the pressures of blended family life, Tammy J was ready to step away from it all, including her marriage. However, with the help of personal therapy, marriage counseling, prayer and newfound confidence, Tammy J found the strength to continue on in her truth. While healing and re-discovering herself, Stepmom Goals was unleashed. 

Focused on helping other stepmothers and bonus moms in their own escapades, Tammy is determined to help these brave women to adjust their crowns daily. 

As a Stepmom enthusiast, Tammy J's mission is to help stepmoms and bonus moms to chase away the clouds of perfection as they step deeper into their God-given purpose.
