Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey there.
So today's meditation is aboutreigniting your creative spark.
You know, I believe that we allhave a creative spark.
It's just sometimes it feelslike it's not burning very
brightly.
There are so many things thatthreaten to keep us blocked or

(00:26):
keep us safe or keep us in theland of should Should I do this?
I should do that, and we feeldisconnected from our reasons
why and when we felt successfulcreatively.
It can actually make us feelscared.

(00:49):
It can make us feel, well, likemaybe we won't be able to do it
again as well as we did itbefore, or, you know, the next
one won't be as good as it was, whether it's a book or a
painting or a show, or even aconversation.
Or, you know, it doesn't haveto apply specifically to art.

(01:11):
Staying connected to ourcreative self is so very
important and it has nothing todo with your resume, it has
nothing to do with what you didbefore or what you'll do in the
future.
It has to do with tapping intothat intuition, that inner

(01:38):
knowing, to trusting, to lettinggo of judgment, judgment of
self.
Quite frankly, don't compareyourself to yourself, my
goodness.
So this meditation, I hope, will help you reconnect,

(01:59):
reignite that beautiful innerspark of yours, that beautiful
inner spark of yours.
So, wherever you are, letyourself land fully into this
moment, feel your body supportedby the surface beneath you, and

(02:19):
just let your shoulders drop, your jaw soften and your breath
slow down.
Take a nice deep inhale andexhale with a gentle sigh.

(02:43):
Again, inhaling and exhaling, just let yourself arrive, not as
who you think you need to be,but exactly as you are.
Exactly as you are Now.

(03:10):
Gently close your eyes, if youhaven't already, and bring to
mind a time when you feltcreatively alive.
Maybe you were writing, dancing, painting, singing, dreaming.

(03:40):
Maybe it was something quietand simple, arranging flowers or
telling a story, cooking a meal.
See if you can drop yourselfback into that moment, to the

(04:03):
colors and sounds and smells,textures.
What can you see?
What can you hear?
Are you warm or cold here?

(04:25):
Are you warm or cold?
Who was around you?
Was it calm or exciting?
What did it feel like?
What did it feel like in yourbody?

(04:46):
Let your breath help you paintthe scene.
Really embody that time whenyou felt creatively alive.

(05:14):
Drop yourself into that moment, allowing your breath to help
you paint the scene.
Can you feel your heart openingslightly?

(05:36):
Maybe there's a warmth in yourchest or a gentle buzz of energy
in your hands or your body, whatever it is, you're
remembering what's alreadywithin you.
That creative spark is not gone, not by any means.

(06:08):
It may be resting, but it isstill very much alive.
Gently place a hand on yourheart or your belly, wherever

(06:31):
you feel called, and askyourself what is my creative
spark trying to tell me rightnow?
Imagine the spark like afirefly, personified, like

(06:55):
Tinkerbell in Peter Pan, abeautiful little muse.
What is my creative sparktrying to tell me right now?
Let the question linger andimagine the beautiful wings of

(07:20):
your creative fairy.
What would I create if I didn'tneed it to be good or perfect
or understood?
What would I create if I knew Icouldn't fail?

(07:47):
You might want to journal thesereflections after the meditation
or simply hold them gently inyour awareness.
Sometimes, just embodying thisfeeling and the sensation of
your hand on your chest or yourbelly or your palms together can

(08:07):
generate this feeling again andnow, let's play for a moment.
Imagine you're standing beforea blank canvas, but instead of

(08:28):
paint you're using light, colorful, fluid, living energy.
What colors appear?
What shapes emerge?
No pressure, no judgment, justplay, just your energy in motion

(08:58):
.
Let it swirl and splash andstretch and surprise you.
If you want to give it asoundtrack, go ahead.
Imagine the music.
Let it fill you.
Imagine the music, let it fillyou Swirling and splashing,

(09:27):
stretching and spinning, surprising you each time.
Beautiful, energetic light.
This is creativity as freedom.
This is creativity as feeling,as expression.
Now, inhale and imagine drawingthat energy in through your

(09:54):
fingertips.
Exhale and feel it move throughyour body like a current, an
energetic current clearing spaceyou are reigniting from within.

(10:24):
Now, gently, bring your mind toa belief that maybe you've held
about your creativity that nolonger serves you.
Maybe it's I don't have time tobe creative, or I'm not
creative enough.
It's too late, I don't havetime.

(10:52):
What's the point?
Acknowledge the belief.
What's the point?
Acknowledge the belief, honorits history.
Now let's repurpose this energy.

(11:15):
Take a deep breath in and, asyou exhale, whisper to yourself.
Take a deep breath in and, asyou exhale, whisper to yourself.
My creativity shows up in waysthat are unique, powerful and

(11:43):
meaningful to me.
My spark is still here and Iget to fan the flame.
And, as we begin to close, askyourself what's one small

(12:09):
creative act I can choose todaythat's just for me.
It might be writing onesentence, singing one verse,
trying something new or simplyletting your mind wander.

(12:39):
Creativity doesn't have to beloud, and sometimes the spark is
in the whisper.
Take one more deep breath andplace both hands over your heart

(13:00):
.
When you're ready, gently blinkyour eyes open.
Welcome back.

(13:23):
The spark is still here in youand it's yours to tend, and it
loves to be acknowledged.
It's an important part of you.

(13:48):
My friends, you can return tothis meditation any time that
you're feeling further away fromyour spark, as a reminder that,
well, you create the spark andyou've opened up the access to

(14:20):
it today.
Be well, I'm looking forward toknowing what you created.
Take care, namaste.
