Let us know what you enjoy about the show!

When fear shows up, it’s easy to see it as something to push past or avoid. But what if fear isn’t a wall—it’s a bridge? A bridge that can carry you from rut to rhythm, from stagnation to movement, from habit to possibility.

In this short, powerful excerpt from my upcoming book I Get To: The Power of Energetic Choice, I share a personal ritual, a metaphor rooted in music and movement, and a framework for understanding the inner blocks that keep us stuck.

✨ You’ll hear about:

  • How fear can act as a bridge to flow rather than a barrier
  • The power of “finding your groove”
  • L.I.S.A.™ — Limiting Beliefs, Interpretations, Saboteurs, and Assumptions — the invisible forces that hold us back
  • How naming your blocks gives you the power to cross the bridge toward possibility

If you’ve ever felt frozen on the edge of something new, this episode is for you.

SPEAKER_00 (00:23):
Hey there.
Groove has always been thepassword on my iPad.
I'd enter it every day beforeclass began to access my music.
Standing in the corner of thestudio with my back toward a
room full of dancers, I couldfeel their energy waiting for me
to begin.

(00:44):
I'd take a deep breath and typethe word groove.
It was a ritual of sorts, and itconnected me not only to my
music, but to the possibilitiesof what I might create.
Sometimes I had nightmares thatI was just standing there
frozen, unable to unlock mymusic, standing on the bridge

(01:08):
between fear and flow.
In music, the bridge connectsone section to another, carrying
the listener to a less familiarplace.
That change in the status quocreates tension, but it also

(01:28):
elevates the experience,amplifying anticipation,
curiosity, and offering a newperspective before returning to
the familiar refrain.
In life, fear often plays thatsame role.
Fear creates tension.

(01:50):
Fear signals transition.
And fear, if you are willing, can also invite curiosity.
When we meet fear consciously,it becomes the bridge from rut
to groove, from stagnation tomovement, from habit to

(02:15):
possibility.
In this analogy, you are thedancer and life is the song.
So if repetitive unconsciousthoughts create our ruts, what
keeps us from finding ourgroove?
What's standing in the way?

(02:38):
Well, that's where our innerblocks come in.
The veritable trolls that makeit difficult to cross that
bridge.
These invisible forces dig ourruts and hold us there,
whispering doubts anddistractions that keep us from
moving forward.
I call them Lisa's.

(03:00):
Not just because they happen tobe my initials, but because
they're often as automatic andfamiliar as our own first name.
They show up without us evenrealizing it.
Habitual patterns that feel likejust who we are.
It also helps me own it.
Because at the end of the day,I'm the one creating them.

(03:21):
And when I take responsibilityfor that, I also reclaim the
power to change them.
L is for limiting beliefs, theingrained convictions that
quietly dictate what we think ispossible.

(03:44):
I is interpretations, thestories and judgments we attach
to what happens.
S is for saboteur, the innercritic that feeds on fear and
self-doubt.
And A is for assumptions, theexpectations that the past will
repeat itself.

(04:06):
L-I-S-A, Lisa, these are theblocks that disrupt our flow.
The good news, once we namethem, we can begin to tame them
and cross the bridge from rut togroove.

(04:27):
If this has tweaked yourinterest, this is an excerpt
from the book that I'm writingcalled I Get To: The Power of
Energetic Choice.
In it, I'll break down limitingbeliefs, I'll break down
interpretations, I'll break downsaboteurs, I will break down

(04:49):
assumptions in order to clearthe way for access to higher
energetic choice to becontinued.
I'm Lisa Hopkins.
Stay safe and healthy, everyone, and remember to live in the
moment.
