smart product of LBJ high schooland you got to love the way he
(01:10):
spells his last name, holding upthe heritage of that last name.
Fresh, but with the C.
And I've got to admit Sean andI had a little difficulty on
emails because I left out that Ctwice in an email.
So fresh and so clean, justlike OutKast.

(02:54):
And there's our guy, the SeanFresh, on the right.
Correct me, it's Sean Fresh Jr.
We got to give a shout out toyour dad as well.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Of course, of course,
man Pop's back at home.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Man for sure, sean
you the journey we're going to
start out here in Austin, Texas, first off this week, nfl Draft
Week.
How long have you reallythought about it?
Because I know all of us whogrow up in Texas or a football
state.
We think about the potential.
It happens for a one to 2% ofpeople, maybe less than that.
(03:32):
How long have you thought aboutthis week for you being a
reality?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Oh, I mean, man, it's
really just, you know, really
hit me this past couple of weeks, you know, especially after pro
day, you know how fast it'scome up.
But I've been dreaming andthinking about this moment, uh,
since the day I stepped on thatfootball field when I was six
years old, my dad brought me outthere to play with the east
austin uh, northeast austincougars.
Uh, shout out.
My boy, taj brooks, shout out,uh, you know, ed and everybody
(03:59):
else.
Uh, that's that's where Istarted.
I started off with those guysand the passion just grew from
there.
But I've been waiting for thismoment and you know it's here
now and it's just crazy to thinkabout.
But yeah, this is a veryspecial moment in my heart and
to my family.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
So, yeah, I'm very
and it's an honor for me to
share that with you and be apart of this week and tell your
story.
And, just FYI, his littlebrother, chance, and his mom we
got to know each other throughSt Andrews Middle School
football.
I do the PA for their publicaddress announcing his little
(04:33):
brother, just like Sean, couldbe an exceptional talent Quick,
twitch, fast, smart and just anatural.
I mean, what do you foresee forthe little bro, chance?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I see a lot of things
in his future.
I mean, he's just like me andin the ways of versatile, he
plays every single sport, he'sexcelling at every single sport.
But he's made it clear that hewants to play football.
I don't know, I think he'sturning into wanting to be on
that offensive side.
I took the defense around, butI think he's turning into, you
know, wanting to be on thatoffensive side.
You know I took the defensiveroute, but you know, I think
he's, you know, more finesse.
He's just way more natural thanI was, you know, when I was at
(05:10):
that age, and he's going to beexciting to watch, for sure.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
All right, and so any
of you in the Austin area if
you want to see you know.
Is he going to the eighth grade?
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (05:19):
He's actually about
to go to the ninth grade.
He's in the eighth gradecurrently.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Oh well, he'll start
his high school career next year
with St Andrews, correct,exactly?
Oh, he will Fun electric.
He's got that.
It looks like he's walking onair when he runs the Rocks, so
to speak.
Now you're a product of LBJHigh School.
You were in the St Andrewssystem.
Who was the most influentialperson at LBJ high school?
(05:51):
Because you guys had somereally from coach Jack Jamal
Fenner.
There's a lot of great men whoreally poured themselves into
you guys at LBJ, I would have tosay coach Jamal Fenner for sure
.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Sure, he worked his
tail off for us and you know
making sure we're, you know, getting looked at, getting
recruited by these colleges andeverything like that.
You know speaking good to thecolleges, being truthful,
obviously, but you know justalways coming in being himself
every day guiding us with.
You know great leadership andeverything like that.
But Coach Fitter was just agreat guy overall, a great coach
(06:20):
.
I definitely appreciated thattime with him at AOBJ, for sure,
and the guys great coaching, Idefinitely appreciated that time
with him at AOBJ for sure.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
The guys, you guys
had a great run when you guys in
making big strides for aprogram that's out of AISD from
the east side, and it was fun towatch it.
Even back in my last few yearsin the media it was unreal to
see you guys bring back andmaintain that tradition.
And Jamal Fenner, vip alumni ofstories inside the man cave
(06:48):
doing big things, being the highschool relations guy for steve
sarkisian um, it is, it's.
And tosh brooks as well.
You mentioned him.
He's sharing this glory withyou this week.
He's also alumni of thispodcast.
So, man, man, some big names.
And Sean Fresh you should havebeen on here sooner, but that's
my fault.
I apologize.
(07:09):
All good, everything happens fora reason we hear that that's
right.
Well, you talked about yourfamily and your dad, your mom,
just your entire family and theLBJ family.
How big of a role was this?
I know you guys talked about it.
You stress education, butreaching this week could it have
(07:29):
?
How big of a factor was it, asa family part of your foundation
, to reaching this moment?
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Oh man, I mean
they're my family, is everything
to me.
The other reason I'm here mymom, my dad.
I can't even explain to you theamount of time and effort and
stress that you know they wentthrough and I don't know, I mean
, I can't even put it into words, they're, they're just a
blessing, um, in my life and Iowe everything to them.
Um, even my little brothers, you know they motivate me every
(07:57):
day, um.
So you know, chas is looking upto me, ace will be soon, he's
when he can understand, andeverything like that.
But I, I mean my brothers,motivate me.
Like I said, I can't explain it, but they're everything to me.
They push me even when I didn'twant to be pushed.
So in school, in football, inanything I did, basically they
(08:21):
taught me that.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Take it to the next
level in everything you do
Everything, you give it all andif you know, take it to the next
level.
In everything you do Everything.
You know, you give it all andif you fail, improve.
Exactly At Rice you've donethat and clearly I didn't have a
Rice degree by misspellingcornerback at 9 o'clock at night
, creating this graphic.
It says corn burr back.
Speaker 2 (08:42):
That is not a word.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
That's not part of
the English language.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
The new position.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yeah, so as we enter
NFL draft, this is NFL draft
week.
You're watching this episode ona Wednesday night.
These are our stats.
It should read the fresh file, the rice out.
Cornerback career five years,47 games played, majority of
(09:11):
them starts.
But look at this as a corner152 total tackles, three INTs,
but the combined yardage as aspecialist as well, I mean, do
the stats really tell the story?
Is there more for you?
And it's okay to promoteyourself.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
No, I mean I can
explain, of course.
You know you see here a lot oftackles In our defense.
First and foremost, thequarters play aggressive.
We do come up and tackle, wecome up and set edges.
You know that's where thetackles come from.
But you know it's also just inopen space tackling running
backs, tackling quarterbacks, scrambling and everything like
that.
Sometimes you get caught on.
You catch, you know tackle areceiver, but a lot of the times
(09:52):
we played a lot of man defense, like we played zones, but even
our zone, in our zones we wereasked to play man defense, so
not many opportunities to getinterceptions, but and then it
lessens it when they're throwingthe ball to the other side of
the field.
Just a great career overall.
I loved playing in that Ricedefense.
It was just a very aggressivedefense, a lot of man-to-man
(10:14):
coverage.
I love man-to-man coverage.
It's just where I excel Withthe punt return and the kicker
return, going back and forththrough kicker return and punt
return and things like that, butI was averaging like nine yards
of punt return and just I don'tknow.
It was good though.
I love playing with Coach Smithand I give a lot of credit to
(10:35):
Coach Malkins.
He really changed.
You know how I view the gameand you know how I prepare each
week, so yeah for sure, beforewe, I want to show this video.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
You mentioned briefly
being a return specialist.
That makes you more marketableto the NFL.
But your degree, what you'vestudied at Rice because we all
know Rice that degree ispriceless.
You'll be set for the rest ofyour life connections, whatnot.
But what did you study Afterfootball's over with?
(11:09):
What would you want to do?
What are you pursuing?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah, so I got my
degree in sport management.
That's what I studied.
I was in a building with agreat man by the name of Tom
Stallings, in a building with, you know, a great man by the
name of Tom Stallings and man, Imean, he is definitely the best
teacher, I would sayschool-wise, I've ever had in my
life.
He motivated me, pushed me to,you know, really think about
what I wanted to do besidesfootball.
(11:35):
You know, when it's all saidand done, but great man, and you
know I was.
I mean, I still ask thisquestion myself.
You know I'm still focused onfootball, football, football.
But I was doing internshipswith Adidas.
I worked with them a lot.
I don't know if I still want to, you know, continue in that
(11:56):
path.
I don't know if it will besales marketing, you know, but
trying to stay in the sportsworld and work for, you know,
one of those big sportsindustries like Nikeike or
adidas or underarm, I don't knowyet, but just just, but yeah, I
think I definitely want to stayin the sports realm.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Hey, it worked for me
for 21 years and it's a and
then why not?
If someone's going to pay youto do it, why not?
But you have a greatopportunity.
I mean, just listen to himspeak in in your knowledge.
But it's okay to be focused onfootball right now.
It's okay because this is adream come true this week and I
(12:37):
and I know from all these yearsI've so many interviews, met so
many people during this week.
It's stressful yeah stressfuland I think we're going to show
the audience this is a quote.
One of the best two-way playersin the NFL draft and this is
just an example of what they'retalking about the mid-1990s is
(12:59):
going to get a takeaway here atthe 20-yard line they do,
intercepted by Sean Fresh.
The 20-yard line, they do,intercepted by Sean Fresh, the
senior out of Austin.
Kick toward the 30-yard linecaught by Fresh, who has some
space, and Fresh with a quickburst of speed toward midfield,
pushed out near the 50.
(13:20):
Now I know there are severalmore examples, but in your
interview process from pro daysto when you talked with the
agents to NFL franchises to givepeople watching this, tell them
what all that entails, thatyou're a great corner, you
(13:43):
played on an island in a mandefense, you're a two-way player
and you did have some burn onthe offensive side as well.
Being so multiply or justdiverse, how much does that
factor in on these franchisesdecision?
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I mean I would like
to think it factors in a lot.
Just, you know, due to theamount of snaps I played every
single year, I mean I've been aconsistent starter for the past
five years, been on the island, played a lot of man defense.
I'm not afraid to come up andtackle, not afraid to cover
bigger receivers.
I can run well, obviously.
(14:20):
But just you know, having thatvers, that versatility, you know
be a punt returner, um, and notjust carrying the ball.
I've played gunner on punt.
I'll have some great reps thereum.
I've, you know, got my hands ona couple balls on field goal
block um, and I've actually evenblocked on punt return for, you
know, returning back in theback as well.
(14:40):
So I mean, I mean I came outthe backfield um on a on a wheel
route.
I was, I was that, I was therunning back um against utsa,
came out the uh back foot as adoing a wheel route and caught
the ball for a 40-yard pass fromej warner.
I mean it's just I would like tothink it factors in a lot.
Just, you know, dude, I can, Ican play several positions on
defense.
I can, uh, I can help you outhere.
(15:02):
I can doner, I can do puntreturn.
I can do a lot.
So I mean and not just do thosethings, but I can do them at a
pro level.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
You know, I remember
one time it was a texting
conversation with Jeff Traylor.
I just his quote about you, about Sean Fresh.
He said he's a dude.
That's a compliment from acoach.
Yeah, and I appreciate it.
Yeah, he said no, he saidthat's a dude right there.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
Much love to you,
Coach, Seriously thank you.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
Oh man, he's one of
the best.
When you think about now, yousee this, and I already see
another typo man.
I had a bad night last night.
I was proofreading Chief.
There's not one player inKansas City is Chief Plural,
plural, baby.
We got to learn.
(15:57):
We got to proofread better.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
It happens to the
best of us it does.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
It should have never
made it, but your measurables.
Was this all from your pro dayat Rice these times?
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
Have you exceeded
those, improved on those, or is
that just the ones that aregoing on record with the NFL
scouting scouts?
Speaker 2 (16:18):
excuse me, no, these
are the ones that are on record.
I mean, since then I haven'tbeen even.
You know, I've been training toplay football, I'm getting
ready to play football, I'mgetting ready to put pads on,
and you know, go play some.
You know not training for proday anymore, but I've gained
some weight.
I mean I will say, yeah, that'sgood right.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yeah, of course, yes,
so I got to ask you this.
So this so I know, pro days, the testing, even the combine
and indie, it's a pressurecooker.
It's up here mentally, yeah, tell us what the preparation is
and I'm gonna ask you.
Know you're, these are notfootball moves.
(16:56):
I know speed, you gotta seespeed, but am I right or wrong?
Football speed is muchdifferent than a straight 40.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
Oh, of course, yeah,
I mean, and I think that's why
they want you to run a 40, justsee how fast you can get from
point A to B in these.
You know amount of yards, but Idon't know.
The game speed is definitelydifferent than you know.
Running a straight, You'renever going to be just running
straight, unless you're beingchased down the field, I guess
you know.
Running the straight, you'renever going to be just running
straight, unless you're beingchased down the field, I guess.
But definitely more of a quickburst in the game.
You know getting up field fast, but, yeah, definitely different
(17:30):
.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Is that one of the
most moments where you're
basically wearing a pair ofboxers, boxer briefs, in front
of all these people?
Tell me what that experience islike, because I I was in
oklahoma city when trentwilliams was alive in oklahoma
city at ou and I don't rememberwhat he told me on camera, but
(17:54):
it was one of the funniestthings.
He's making fun of himselfbasically wearing underwear out
in front of all these grown menand of course it was Trent Woods
.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Of course, of course
he's.
Oh my God, he's humongous.
It's a large human.
Yeah, he is, but no, to answeryour question, I mean even
leading up, you know, thosethree months leading up to Pro
Day, before that, I've been, youknow, in college camps when I
was getting recruited in highschool.
I've had've had, you know, I'veworn my tights at camps and
(18:24):
done one-on-ones or whatever.
But leading up to the pro day Iwas even at armed performance
in Humboldt Texas, with Blaylockand KB.
I was training in my tights, you know, just prepare myself,
you know, for how it's going tobe at pro day.
So you know, it's basicallykind of like a I don't know, I
don't want to be weird and itwas the, it's the show off.
(18:45):
You know what you've beenworking, obviously.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Right, right Now.
You mentioned Blaylock.
Is that you train with DerekBlaylock?
Yes, so we're both SFALumberjack boys.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Hey, small world man,
that's crazy.
Blaylock is a great guy, seriously Great trainer as well.
Great training.
He definitely got us rightmultiple guys, wasn't just me.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Multiple guys had
great pro days from uh, you know
our performance and um, yeah,it was.
It was good.
Well, sean 434, you're one ofthe fastest in the draft field,
no doubt there you got to be.
What top quarter, top 10percent.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Yeah, I believe so.
Speaker 1 (19:24):
There wasn't too many
guys that ran under 435, so,
yeah, so where we stand rightnow, this is Wednesday night,
the draft starts tomorrow andwe'll go through Saturday, I
believe.
What are the last words thatyou've been told that give you
(19:45):
great hope to not be anundrafted free agent?
Oh, it doesn't really matter, but what gives you hope?
Period.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
I mean I've, I've
just been talking to a lot of
teams.
Vegas has been showing a lot oflove.
Obviously that that room atVegas is pretty much open unless
they draft my boy Johnny Barron.
That room at Vegas is prettymuch open unless they, you know,
draft my boy Johnny Barron,right.
But you know, just, speaking tothem, I'll talk to the Chiefs,
I'll talk to the Colts, I'lltalk to the Panthers, and just I
(20:18):
don't know just the way they'respeaking.
You know the love that theyhave for me and you know, in the
film that they've been watching, you know it could have been
after pro day or whatever.
That's what gives me a littlehope that I'll be drafted and
obviously just the the stuffthat I put on film.
You know, I would like to thinkI'm going to, I'm going to get
that phone call.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
I believe it, I
believe it and it's he's going
to be a success.
So the 5-1-2 boys have reallymade a splash on the scene, more
so than, in my opinion, thanever as far as top-tier NFL
draft type of athletes.
Now you've got guys from the5-1-2 at all levels and it's not
(21:03):
to slight them at all ifthey're not NFL draft caliber
type of athletes.
But have you noticed thatthere's more higher volume of
512 representatives?
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Oh, of course, I was
just talking to my mom about
this.
The whole 512 era is just blownup.
And I want to say, since Idon't want to make any guys
upset, but I want to say, sincethat 2019 class I think that was
Casey Washington and GaryWilson in those classes right
Since that 2019, I think Austinhas just gone up more and more
(21:34):
and more and it's just like thisis a place where scouts and
colleges are coming to look forathletes.
Now you know what I'm saying.
So it's definitely blowing up.
They're definitely noticingthat we have talent, We've been
at talent, but I think we'redefinitely finally getting on
the map big, you know, in Texas.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
So yeah, I think
you're right.
And then there's so many, there's great trainers, there's
more year round kids working outyear round and trainers
available.
I mean, it's like real estateagents now they're everywhere.
And now you've got personaltrainers just like real estate
agents, they're everywhere.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Man seriously.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
All right, sean Frest
Jr.
We have had some amazingstories told on the Manscaped I
almost said Manscaped man Cavestory.
Man say that three timesLegendary stories.
Some of them were filter-free.
It's up to you.
Is there one story at any levelfootball, locker room, your
(22:46):
family or anything, even growingup in Austin is there one story
that is just as comical now asit was when it happened?
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Man, I got to really
think about that Comical.
Hmm, I know, I guess when weplayed U of H in 2023, obviously
those were our rivals and weplayed them every year and
before then U of H was prettymuch destroying us, I will have
to be honest.
But this particular year we hadLuke McCaffrey, we had JT
(23:19):
Daniels, we had myself, gabeTaylor and Josh Pearson.
Everybody, the whole team wasjust.
You know, this was probably thebest team that Rice has had in
a while and the best team thatI've been on in the past five
years.
But we play U of H and I don'tknow how people on the team are
really feeling about it.
Before the game, I'm trying tofill out the vibes of everybody.
I always seem confident.
But we seem pretty confidentand going into the game, we get
(23:40):
up 27-0, lead 27-0, and CoachBloom comes in the locker room.
He's like well, guys, keep itup.
And you know we're going to bejust fine, just keep playing
hard, whatever.
We go into the fourth quarter ofthe game and it turns into a
tied ball game and we're goinginto overtime, a tie ball game
(24:07):
and we're going into overtime.
But, Matthew Golden, they ranour previous play to take us
into overtime and he scored.
They ran the same play inovertime.
Jojo Jean goes and breaks theball up and I mean I can just
remember the crowd exploding andJoJo, just you know, crying his
tears, you know, because it wassuch a special moment to beat
that team across town and theway we did.
(24:28):
Obviously we didn't want itthat close, but it's just funny
to me how, you know, that momentwill always be, you know, like
stuck in my head forever becauseeverybody was just so hyped.
The experience in the lockerroom after the game was just I
mean I can't even explain just abunch of happy guys, happy for
(24:48):
each other, proud of eachother's hard work put in and it
came to fruition.
That was just a moment.
It's just like I could see itright now.
I could, you know.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
Yeah, for those who
are not aware, houston and Rice
longtime rivals, even in the oldSouthwest Conference.
The Bayou Bucket Did you evertouch, see or hold the Bayou
Bucket?
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Oh, yeah, man, I
touched it, I drank out of it.
I mean, man, it was sitting in.
So once we won the bucket, itwas sitting in our facility for
the next year, obviously, whenwe played them again, I mean
almost every now, and then I'dtouch it.
It just relived that memory,man.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
It was great.
That's funny.
You brought up two names.
Jt Daniels he played for what?
10 colleges, 10 programs.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Man, jt man.
I mean what I can say aboutthat honestly is he is.
I mean what I can say aboutthat honestly is he is.
I mean when he got to Rice hewas teaching me, like the
quarters teaching the.
He's had so much experience,he's played at the best level in
the SEC of college football.
I mean he got to Rice he wasjust teaching us everything,
(25:59):
just giving us this, giving usthat.
It was really good.
He is a good leader, goodteammate.
He was really good.
Honestly, I don't even know Himand Luke McCaffrey were some of
the best football I've seen inperson to play with.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
So yeah, McCaffrey,
that whole family, all of them.
You play with some great guysthat are probably lasting
impressions, not only personally, but for your playing career,
to elevate your playing careerfor however long that is.
We could be talking 20 yearsfrom now.
You may have a 15 to 20-yearcareer to talk about.
Hey, hey, hopefully, I hope so.
(26:38):
Hey, we're going to take aquick break.
I'm going to ask you a couplequick questions and then we're
going to end with somepositivity with Sean Fresh and
that's coming up on the otherside of this break.
The Saxton name resonates inAustin.
Jim's late father, james Saxton, is a Longhorn legend, a
Heisman finalist while playingfor Darryl K Royal, and Jimmy is
(27:02):
a UT football legacy fromWestlake.
He has been insuring Austin fordecades.
He and his staff will give youold school hospitality when
servicing your insurance needs.
All right, sean Fress Jr.
(27:23):
Lbj Jaguar for life.
Rye Sow for life, and about tobe have a title that you will
forever have NFL cornerback.
(27:43):
You can play any positionreturn specialist.
We're going to find out thisweekend and we are so excited I
am particularly in anotherproduct of the 5-1-2.
Hey, I want you to clear upsomething.
There's so much confusionbecause so many people just
don't know, and it's okay Peopledon't know what they don't know
(28:06):
.
But from a player's perspective, tell us what NIL is really
like on the player side and thetransfer portal.
I'm an advocate for both andthere's so much misinformation
out there about it to thegeneral public and fan.
It's not the school, these arecollectives that are paying it
(28:27):
and it's long overdue.
To be honest, what?
In as short and concise as youcan what is it like when that
transition occurred for you as astudent athlete?
Speaker 2 (28:39):
Yeah, I mean.
So I was in college before theNIL started and everything like
that.
But when it got there, obviously, yes, it is a
collective, it's not the schoolspaying these athletes, it's a
collective for the football teamor for whatever sports you play
, and Rice does it the right way.
(29:00):
Actually, you know you don'tjust get this money Like you
don't just get this money andyou know go spin it or whatever.
You do an internship.
You know what I'm saying.
You go work something.
You benefit.
You go do an internship.
You know the Brotherhood is forRice, that's the collective for
Rice.
It's called the Brotherhood andthey actually had us do
internships that account for ourschool internships as well.
(29:21):
And you know I'm saying it'sjust a good, it just benefits
you.
And but I know a lot of schoolsit's just you know collectives
hand the guy's money in.
You know, off of potential, offof experience, I don't know
it's a lot of things that gointo it, but I think it's almost
(29:42):
.
It's good and bad sides of NILfor sure, and you know I won't
go too deep in that, butdefinitely some good and bads in
that.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
And see it's so much
and I love this is the first
time we've ever asked somebodywho's lived it.
And we've had David Benda donesome other longhorns on here.
And then, uh, taj Brooks, he, Imean, he think his second year
is when it started, when he wasat tech.
So you guys, on the same samelevel, uh, nba playoffs just
(30:12):
started.
I'm going to go ahead and throwit out there.
I'm very biased, I am not goingto lie, it's very obvious.
Okay, buy or sell Oklahoma cityworld champions this year.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah, I mean, yeah, I
mean I don't know, early in the
season I was like, hey, I thinkso.
You know, and I'm not too muchof an NBA guy but I don't know
who they'd have to play next orstuff like that.
But I know I'm an AnthonyEdwards fan, but I'm also this
year I'm also a Luka fan.
You know what happened with thetrade and everything like that,
(30:47):
but that he is so special man,he is incredible to watch and I
mean you even got Steph Curryand you know Jimmy Butler and
Draymond doing their thing overthere, going to state.
So obviously they're whoopingon the Houston Rockets right now
.
Unfortunately, I've grown aheart for Houston man, I don't
know.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
Well, I can tell, and
there's nothing wrong with that
, own it.
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Yeah, so yeah, but I
don't know.
Okay see, they're a really goodteam.
They've been playing veryconsistent, so I mean, hey, I
think that's a good take.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I'm going to buy it,
I just.
But I'm preparing myselfmentally to be let down in the
Western Finals yeah, you got toprepare yourself.
You know, prepare for the worst.
Hey, as we always do here, welove positivity and that's how
we're going to end things.
Hey, man, tell me somethinggood.
(31:46):
Hey, every day is a good dayfor Sean press jr.
Nfl draft week Again.
I, I'm just excited for you,man.
That's why I keep saying this.
You know this is something youlive for and it's, but it's just
one of your goals in life, butlife in general, the world
around you.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Tell me something
good, my brother I mean life is
good, man, god is good.
And I mean I just try, I'vebeen trying these past five
years not not to add any extrastress and I've been doing a
pretty good job at it, but I let, I let god take care of it all
and um.
But something good is the draftis here, a lot of dreams are
going to come true from a lot ofguys and I just know that this
(32:28):
weekend is going to be a goodweekend and my family is going
to be really proud and I'm justgoing to, you know, be with them
and you know it's going to be agood week, good weekend for
sure.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
We're going to
celebrate we got to.
I don't know, are you abarbecue guy?
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Of course, of course.
Speaker 1 (32:46):
So we got to
celebrate.
Usually, when people getdrafted or even undrafted free
agents, there's no time.
They leave pretty quick.
You'll probably be at OTAsfairly quick, but whenever you
find a moment in time, where arewe going?
It's on me.
Where are we going to eatbarbecue in Austin?
Speaker 2 (33:07):
I don't know man,
Bill Miller sounds good.
I mean, I don't know.
There's a.
There's a really good spot inElgin, I forget what it's called
.
Speaker 1 (33:15):

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Not sure, I don't
know, but I don't know.
But I know Bill Millers isright around the corner from
where I stay.
