Welcome back to the podcast for the second part of our Andrei Chikatilo series.
Andrei Chikatilo was an Ukrainian serial killer who confessed to 56 murders between 1978-1990. He had many nicknames, most popular of which was the Red Ripper, or the Rostov Ripper, as many of his crimes took place in or around Rostov, Russia. His victims were mostly children. He engaged in the most depraved acts one could imagine. Rape, mutilation, and cannibalism just to name a few. Needless to say, this episode is not for the faint of heart and will include discussions of crimes that might be disturbing to some listeners.
