But let's get into some current day nonsense here in
the world of wrestling, and if you're talking specifically WW

there's no nonsense. Specifically, if you are a wrestler that
got released this past Friday, all right, you know for sure,
And there was a lot of them, well over a dozen,
I believe. I think seventeen or something like that was
the number that I saw.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
I was adding to the list yesterday, and I don't
know if I missed any, but yeah, I think the
last number I saw was seventeen.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Yeah, yeah, so it's seventeen.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
But I don't know.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
The majority of them, I should say, are NXT talent.
But there are a few names that were on the
main roster that you know, we've watched extensively over the
last past you know, seven eight years or so. We
talk about Bronze Stroman being probably the biggest, you know,
no pun intended name on the list simply because like

he's been Universal Champion, right, but also he had a
major run in twenty seventeen twenty eighteen that they didn't
capitalize on, didn't release them in like twenty twenty, despite
giving him the title in twenty twenty, brought back but
things didn't go quite the way it did the first

time he was around. I thought he had some good
matches and some good future that he put other people
over in. But you know, he's getting up there. It
probably costs a lot of money, and I guess they
didn't have any plans for him really moving forward, so
they said, let's just move on right now. That's the

same for SHANEA. Basler, who I don't understand why they
never found a way to use Shane Basler and in
a prominent way. It just she's so legitimate, so different
from the other wrestlers on the roster that I feel
like she should have had a place somewhere, Like even
if she's not a world champion, she could have been
contending for the IC or the US title, like you

have those titles to, you know, create more opportunities for
people like Shanna Basler, who I don't know if Shane A.
Bezel is the best talker in the world, but she's
good enough, right you think, And then in the ring
she's fine, she's great, And then she's believable because she
she fought in the UFC and they gave her a
big push in n XT and then at the beginning

of her time in the main roster and then for
some reason, it's just like we're moving on to other places.
And the same for Dakota Kai, who I just felt like,
again you got these min car titles, you feel like
the Chicago opportunities for Dakota Kai. This is also her
second time being released by WW. Hopefully she can move

on to something else and become a bigger star elsewhere,
because I think there's still a lot of untapped potential
with Dakota Kai that WW for whatever reason, just didn't
tap into. Not to say there is any with SHANEA.
Basel On Brown Strowman. But you know, when you get older,
in my opinion, and you know, I can speak for
myself too, like get older, you get more expensive, and
it just means like there's not as many places to work,

you know, when you get more expensive. So I hope,
you know, they land somewhere on their feet. I'm sure
they will because again both very talented. Also, Katana Chance
and Kayden Carter got released like a whole tag team,
like they have tag titles and then get rid of
a whole tag to me, the actual tag team, the
one tag team they actually had an WW for the
women's side, I should say they got rid of. But

also Shatzy black Heart's contract would not be renewed according
to fight Ful, So I didn't know if you had
any thoughts on the names I mentioned or the other
ones that were released. But regardless, I'm never on the
side of seeing, you know, wanting to see people lose
their jobs. It sucks. I do also understand ww's like
we got a lot of people, and we're not using

a lot of these people in prominent ways. So let
them run free kind of do like just not had
them ride the bench, so to speak, hold them hostage,
let them go to TNAK possibly or wherever they want
to run. Like I think the code Kay can make
a lot of money outside of WW in my opinion.
But again, have any thoughts about the names I mentioned

or anybody else that was on the list unfortunate the
unfortunate list?

To me, it just seems like deja vu with like
Braun Strowman and Dakota Kai being released. They were released before,
got resigned back, were given pushes, and now it's like
they were I say prominently featured, but I mean they
were featured on TV at least recently. So it's just
weird to see when talent that's been on TV as

early as you know, a week ago or two weeks
ago or released. Like you you kind of come to
expect talent you haven't seen in a while getting released,
you haven't seen on TV getting released. But yeah, it's
just you know, never once you see like the first report,
I think the first one I saw was bron Struman

getting released, and then I see like a tweet like
ww release is ongoing. I think a couple of them
were behind the scenes people from like social media, and
then another one that I saw it was like it's
not just talent too. So and we talked about this
from the last year when the merger happened with like
UFC andwe and how when stuff like that happens, people

lose jobs and it doesn't matter how long after the
merger happens, like there will be jobs lost because of
a merger and decisions that come out of that. And
this is probably part of that too. I mean, like
you got people that will they go you have TNA there,
but again like I don't, I don't know if you

want to limit you know, those people to TNA either
I don't. I don't necessarily know if it's like a
release and a wink wink go here and then you know,
we'll we'll still have you on w t V at
some point.

To me, I think it's an outright release. Bro, we
don't know.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
I know, I know, I'm saying, like, technically they will
be under TNA contract, but you know, maybe they don't
want that. You know, like I could definitely buy a
company like w W believing that the talent they released
will take their you know, advice if they have any
advice or where to go. But again, it only helps

w in the long run, you know, whatever they want
to do. Uh, I can't exactly tell the talent where
to go after releasing them. And at the same time,
they sent someone to evolve from NXT. And it's like,
I guess that there was some people, I think Eddie
Thorpe or was it Eddie No, No, it was Riley
Osborne that apparently reportedly rejected a move to evolve from NXT,

so you know, he was released, So it's possible possible that,
you know, maybe they want a Bronze Stroman to go
to NXT. I don't know, It's like no, no, no, maybe.
I mean so you know, we don't know exactly the reasons,
but it's just annoying. You know, like these wrestlers should
land on their feet, but you think in the grand scheme,

a lot of them, you know, WW is their dream.
So even though they might go to AW or CNA
or New Japan, even is that, you know, their dream
quote unquote has been cut short just because of limitation,
like roster limitations, Like even though you have all these titles,

(14:37):
like you have this TV time to take up and
you're not using them. I just I don't know.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I mean I get that, like I get that they
have a lot of titles and whatnot, especially for it's
really agrees when the women's tag team division to me,
because like why have the titles then if you're not
going to actually like you know, and this is actually
a real tag team.

To be doing a movie now, So like are they
even gonna be on TV?

Speaker 1 (15:01):
They're not. They're not gonna be on TV. They talked
about it on TV. She's not gonna be around for
like a good solid month or so. So yeah, that's
to me, that's the issue. But you know the thing is,
if you the problem is ww does have a lot
of talent, and yeah, you have a lot of talent,
and they do have a lot of TV time, but
it's not really not that much honestly when you really
think about it, So you gotta do you want? Would

you rather have somebody just sitting backstage collecting the check
the whole time doing nothing for the wrestlers? Wouldn't want that?
They would't actually be working doing what they you know,
love to do. Uh So, you know, as much as
it sucks to lose your job, trust me, having an
uncertain future in regards to your income is horrible, But
at least it gives them the freedom to do whatever

they want next, at the very least, I guess, you know,
and not just sit back and ride the pine and
hang out catering or clearly, like if you're a Bron
Strowman or Dakota Katay just didn't have plans for them
to be big stars. It's just like, well, go be
a big star somewhere else. Maybe I guess it's sound
like it's impossible they could. They could, you know, never

come back like this has gone forever. I mean, they've
shown they've brought Ron Strowman back and the code Kai
back already, so it's not like it's impossible they couldn't
bring him back. I don't know if I could go
back a third time, but you know, I feel like
like a guy like Drew Backatyre went away and even
Cody Rhodes went away and came back, you know, and
became bigger stars. So those are just two examples, only two,

but like sounds like it's impossible, right, So hopefully this
is the end of the line for anybody that lost
their job this past Friday, which again it's terrible, especially
in this economy what's going on right now, yikes, you know.
But again, if you you know, if you're young enough

and you still got some years ahead of you, I
think especially you know, that independent scene is still out
there and you can use your ww slash NXC credentials
to your advantage hopefully and make some money. But again
it's I'm always in the side of like, people losing
their jobs sucks, So I'm never gonna be like take

that for granted. I think some people do, like, oh,
who are these people who cares? And it's like, no,
that sucks, bro, Like these are people who have bills.

I don't like looking at like the blessing in disguised
type thing, I mean for some talent. No, yeah, because
then it opens up other doors that they didn't have otherwise.

Yeah, you know it's not everybody, you know, like everyone
doesn't look at that way.

No, not everybody lands in their feet and not everybody.
There's not enough room for everybody to make money in
the industry. I mean to make actual money. I mean,
WW is a place where you can make actual money
and that you can't just easily replicate that somewhere else.
Uh So that's the unfortunate part. So again that's why
I'm like, I'm never I'm not on the side of
people losing their jobs. I'm sure people would much rather
keep collecting getting paid. But I guess if you're like

I still want to make myself a star in his industry,
it's you know, being able to have the freedom to
work again instead of it's like I look at us
like being like a quarterback in the NFL. Right, you
can be a backup quarterback in the NFL and make
a lot of money, but you don't get that many
reps being a backup quarterback because if you're on a
team winn an established starter, they get all the reps,

so you don't really see any game time and you
probably don't get that much practice time outside of like
training camp, but in the regular season the start against
the reps. So sometimes, like I remember, like aj Mccaerron,
he was in the UFL and XFL whatever, that was
his first time playing in years. And this is aj
mccaern He played in Alabama won the national championships, but

because he's in the NFL as a backup, he never
really got a chance to play for multiple years after that,
and going to the UFL actually gave him a chance
to play, you know what I'm saying, professional football instead
of just being Andy Dalton and you know who's Joe
Burrow's backup, you know, and helping them get ready for
the game. So there is no real like you said,

I agree with you, there's no real silver lining to
losing your job, Like that's always terrible, but again, if
you're trying to make a career out of it, it's
better than just not working and becoming irrelevant. But you
get to pay your bills too, so like there's two
sides to every corn. Unfortunately, but again I'm usually on
the side of it's unfortunate. That's that's usually the prevailing

it's like an annual thing for WW. By the way,
right after WrestleMania, they kind of trim the roster down
a little bit, and you know, you got some people
that's gonna move up eventually. There's some people in NXT
that probably need to be on the main roster, some
people and maybe the NIL the ID program that need

to be an NXT. Like they got a whole ecosystem
now in WW. They got a whole system in WW,
and that includes TNA by the way, and it will
include I think Triple A two in Mexico. Yeah, so
if you're talking about Triple A literally being a triple
A for WW, not just in name, but like and
kind of like a baseball system, and Nick, you know
what I'm talking about as far as like how a

minor league system works where person gets drafted then a
rookie ball. I don't know, didn't even do rookie ball anymore,
the short season. But they have like single A, Double A,
Triple A, right, you have single, double A Advanced.

They have different classes and single A. So there's like
a low okay, low maybe high as well.

Yeah, low A high A one.

Actually a couple of teams in Clearwater.

and double A advanced.

that first reported, i should say, by the Philadelphia Inquirer,
was that AEW is holding a Yes, breaking news by
the Philadelphia Choir, aaw All Elite Wrestling holding a residency

at the twenty three hundred Arena in South Philadelphia from
August twenty seventh to September eleventh. How about that two
weeks pretty much of a w wrestling at the twenty
three hundred Arena. It starts to get on the twenty
seventh with dynamite, but there will be dynamite in collisions
and a Ring of Honor show death before designor on

September fifth. So how about that you're excited for that.

What's that before or after? I guess all In is
in July, right, so.

it's gonna be three dynamized, three collisions, and a death
before Donna, So seven shows and shows in total death

Hayman of course. But yeah, it's not like it's set

again at Backlash, probably for the last time.

I guess I'm okay with the story they're telling with Sena,
but I just didn't want to see it, So it
doesn't like I'm not interested by it. I'm just kind
of waiting for it to be over already, like you know,
they like it doesn't get me excited. They can have
as many promos as they want back and forth. Ultimately,
is John Cena versus Randy Orton in twenty twenty five

and it's just like, Okay, clearly Randy Orton's not gonna
beat John Cena, and if he does, they're gonna give
seed it like another rain down the road. And for eighteen,
he's gonna probably be Orton. You know, they're probably probably
gonna do stuff like that. So I'm like, doesn't Cody's
been absent from TV. It's like that's going on with that,

The thing is Backlash is also Saturday, so it came
up pretty quick after WrestleMania, so they throw a card together.

Damn yeah, I'll see. I'm just so like, I guess
it was the plus I hated how WrestleMania ended, so
really everybody went out of my salesman. I'm just the
Jay with the Jay and logan. Paul doesn't really hit
me Gunthor and Pat McAfee doesn't really hit me. Ae

W stuff isn't really hitting for me. So it's like
it kind of sucks for me personally that I'm not
taking enjoyment out of it. I know I can be.
I know, like maybe I'm just looking at it differently.
It could be baseball season picked up, so I'm more
you know, paying attention to the Phillies night in and
night out, so I'm not watching as much intently, and

it's just you know, I'm watching on mute and I'm
just not seeing things that grab my attention, you know.
So you know, it's stuff that I can work on
for sure, But I think overall mainstream wrestling product is
just not for me right now.

Hopefully it gets better. I mean WrestleMania wasn't a good

I don't know if you's so long, the longest wordiest
tagline in history, which is and I quote, these men

So we're supposed to get this grudge match on pay

forced to defend the titles by himself. He can't find
a substitute, which is like, that's kind of unfairness, right,

a replacement. He's gonna let him go against the Steiners

What was your match of the night from Spring Stampede

Kind Of tough for me just because of the placement,
but I'll go Altimo Dragon versus right mystereo because the
action was great and the only issue I had, And
this coincides with what my honorable mention for well, actually
it is my worst non wrestling happening. Cutting away from
that match to go into back to give a crap

what Lee Marshall the same wants to talk to Kevin
Nash about the tag title, Like I just so off
putting and I didn't realize how much I didn't like
that in the moment. You know, they would do stuff
like that on TV here and there, but like when
you're on pay per view and you're doing that during

an Ultimate Dragon Ramisterio match, that's just bad man, that's bad.
That pissed me off. So I'm like, okay, well, that's
the worst non wrestling happening. It was cutting to Lee Marshall,
not once, but twice. They did it during the match,
and they did it after the match. It does lead
into my other top non wrestling happening. But during this match,
the best match of the night, and you have the

worst non wrestling happening. Just pissed me off. So I
think Ultimate Dragon versus Raypisterio, based on the action and everything,
was my best match of the night. I do the
main event is up there. It is my honorable mention
because I love everything that happened at the main event too.

Mysterio match, they cut to the back, uh because they
had to hear what Kevin Nash had to say about
the tag title. So Lee Marshall is knocking on Kevin
Nash's locker room door for an interview mid match, and
they cut away and they didn't even do a double
screen or did a full screen.

To Lee Marshall, they did like a full screen, but
I think they eventually did a split screen. But split
screen Lee was bigger than the match.

Yes, it was the most important thing on the screen
at that time, the most prominent thing on the screen.
And then not only did they do that, they we
don't even get to hear from Nash. We get to
hear from Sean Waltman at first, and we can't even
hear what the hell he is saying, And even he announces,

had had like some condition that he wanted for the
tag title match that everyone wanted to know, including the Steiners,
and they wanted an answer right then and there. And
you can see like Nash in the room behind Waltman,
you know, he's like kind of peeking over Waltman. And
then Kevin Nash demands that Nick Patrick gets the reft

for the match and then tells the security to keep
the Steiners back before he spits on Scott Steiner, which
is oh, nasty, disgusting. And then Scott Steiner didn't Rifley
loses his mind, but before he could really do anything,
the cops just makes them right in the face, pow
right in the face, which is wild, and then then
the rest of him and hauled him off the jail. Meanwhile,

he was the one that spat on and they're like, oh,
you're not going to react right in this space. That's
is innocent, right, He's not gonna arrest him at all.

between these two they've been feuding for a long time.

got physical in the match. It was wild, but it
was interesting to see, Uh. Savage get like a gold
like entrance with Miss Elizabeth and he's talking in the hallway.

And during his interest there were like some little girls
in the aisle for some reason, like what were they
there for? They didn't mention him.

Randy Savage notices them. Ye stops dead in his tracks,

after the entrances and then they shot up Pyro while

Even like it's weird, but yeah, the fans were hot.

They fight into the stance, they fight near the stage,
both of the both Liz and Kimberly get involved, and
then Savage just went crazy and started slapping everybody inside.

all at once, So they had a little bit of

Harlem Heat fought each other for a little bit, and

other exactly what the man I want you to do.

It was a lot like the same Kevin Green, by
the way that he turned on or that he wrestled
a Great American Bash the year prior made Mago turn on.

I'm confused, But if you just want to see a
chaotic match and with some good wrestling in the beginning,
this is a good one, I think. Yeah, I have
no idea what happened the storyline wise, but there's some
good wrestling in there. At the very least uh they got.

Had Jacqueline come out like beat up woman, and it's like, yeah,
that started it all, and then Jimmy Hard out there
trying to get the US title, like.

Yeah, just put it on Eddie Garrell's shoulders, hey, steal it,
take it because Demlenko is the US shamp coming into
this match. But Eddie Garrell walked out with the belt
somehow with one arm.

So which deep MALINKO must have been like the least
uh touted US champion at that time.

I mean, apparently they didn't even want him to hold
the physical title. Give it to somebody else.

He's a future horseman too, but yeah, he's goetting beat
up by the Horseman.

So I don't know what's going on in this match,
but because it's so wild and chaotic, it might be
worth going back to watch here and there, So go

It's one of the like I like chaotic stuff, but

I will admit that I was struggling with some of

we haven't talked about at all. No reason to really
talk about it, Prince Ioka one. But Tony Shavanni spent
a good chunk of the match promoting Dennis Robin's new
movie called Double Team. They talk about like how they
cut away from the ray Mystereo Ultimate Dragon Match. Here
they are again talking about something else they got nothing

to do with a match, this time is Dennis Robins
movie where he co starred with John Claude Van Dam
in a movie called Double Teams, an action movie, and
Tony Shavanni said they were gonna show a clip from
the movie the next night on Nitro and would you
believe it? That this movie was horrible and somehow, despite

(01:22:53):
John Claud Van Dam being a pretty good big star
and Dennis Robin being a pretty big star, flopped at
the box office. I was suspect and then maybe he
gets make some money at the box office. It didn't.
But if you look at the the Rotten Tomato score
eleven percent of Rotten Tomatoes according to the critics, not great,
but the audience scores at twenty five. Here you go

(01:23:16):
according to a box office mode of the movie is
made for like thirty five million, only made eleven million
at the box office. Not great. But yeah, Double Team,
that's what we got a promo four on the show
at some point.

It's just so funny when you're supposed to hate anything NWL.
But yeah, you have to market like you have to
hate Rodman, right, it's part of the wo But then,
by the way, here's this movie.

Yeah, here's that movie which we if you want us
to deep dive into one day, please leave us a
pretrion request. We will deep dive into Double Team. I've
never seen it. I'm sure it is garbage, though, and
that's why I'd be willing to watch it for a
deep dive to see Dennis act Dennis Rob's acting skills
and John Claudeven damn kick people in the face because

that's what he got paid to do. And he was
really good at that too, kicking people in the face.
But we got that. At one point, me and Gene
brings up a new click quote unquote that's on the WS,
that's in w's W and he talks about it on
the hotline. Who the hell is he talking about this
new click?

I don't know, but he's talking about it like two
or three times on this pay per view, so okay,
and you know it's April, so April ninety seven, So was.

He talking about the Full Horseman?

I don't know. That's not that wouldn't be a new
click to me because then they get like he doesn't
even say like another organization, So it makes me think
it's in w CW. So I don't know.

But we talked about Rick Flair's promo earlier in the show.
He told mean Gnokling that he's returning on May first,
so that's less than a month after this show. Flair

did bring up Kevin Green, saying that he was released
to wrestle for ws W.

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
Interesting wording. I was like, wait, sond like, maybe they
technically released Kevin Green from contracts?

Speaker 1 (01:25:31):
No, no, So I'm not sure what the hell he
was talking about here, because I'm not sure. I couldn't
find anything regarding him being released to specifically wrestle for
w's W. So here's what happened. We're after this is
ninety seven, so this is after the ninety sixth season.
Kevin Green was in the midst of a bitter contract

(01:25:52):
dispute with the Panthers at the time. Remember he spent
that season with the Panthers. They went to the NFC Championship.
He was really good, and we talked about that the
year prior for the Great American Bass because he's wearing
I think a Panthers jacket, right, and he had just
left the Stealers to go to the Panthers, but that
contract dispute was specifically really with GM Bill Pollion, and

dispute played all the way out until August when the
Panthers finally released him, So he wasn't technically released yet.
So I don't know if he talked about last year
when he was a free as I think before he
signed with the Panthers, or now when he was still
under contract technically with the Panthers. I don't know what
he's talking about. Maybe it's just Rick Flaiir is just

(01:26:35):
talking out of us, you know what. But in case
you were wondering, Kevin Green went on to have another
ten and a half sacks in nineteen ninety seven and
went to the Pro Bowl and helped the forty nine Ers,
which you eventually signed with. He signed with the San
Francisco forty nine Ers, helped them get to the NFC
Championship Game. They lost to the Packers by the way.
Oh yeah, the Packers didn't lost to the Broncos and
the Super Bowl. As for the Panthers, by the way,

they went seven to nine, so I think they missed
Kevin Green. Bill Pollion though he left the Panthers after
the nineteen ninety seventh season, and guess who went back
to the Panthers in nineteen ninty eight, Kevin Green. Coincidence maybe,
But what happened to Bill Pollion? What happened to that guy?

I mean he must have been How funny you said that,
because the next year he goes to the Indianapolis Colts.
And guess where the Colts picked in the draft the
next year?

is that? I lucky at that? Like number one overall
pick doesn't take a genius. Take Peyton Manning the best

QB prospect since John Elway at that point. So you
might have he's got a brother and he's got a
nephew that's playing college football right now too. If you
ever heard of him, he does uh down in Texas.
You might have heard of him, that arch arch Manning,
but you might. I don't know, you might have heard
of him. But back in April ninety seven, Rick Flair

has said Kevin Green agreed, agreed to wrestle alongside him again,
and the only thing that was missing was Hawk Cogan.
Uh did we get a match between these four people,
between any of these people in ninety seven?

at Bash of the Beach with Dennis Robin.

I was thinking of, this is the summer of Dennis
Robin and Karl Malone with DDP. That that's next year, Okay,

in ninety seven.

at Basch of the Beach. We dived.

it makes you think that he's gonna be at Slabboree
and he was not, and then he was not at
the pay per view after that in June. He was
not a great American badge. So it's like, I guess

they had plans that you know they were gonna do
the next one. That sucks, Oh man, one they came back.
They had a big ass run in the third and fourth.

But they did. That's an unbelievable wins. Honestly, I must
be respected when that first game on the road like that,
the Celtics they might lose in five games though, don't worry.
Then it took Celtics might might have woken up. You
just let that ball get stolen from him, Jalen Brown,
McCaw Bridges took it from you. He's expecting the foul call,

And I think I remember hearing it was supposed to
be Hogan, and then the lead up to this makes
you believe it was supposed to be Hogan. Just space

how how the promos are where they're calling out Hogan
by name. It's like, I guess it didn't work for him.
I guess, not man, but I guess at the same time,
if it was Hogan, you wouldn't have had Rick Clair,
Roddy Piper, and Kevin Green go over as they did
against the Outsiders and six. You know, they had like

all three of them had the finishers on at the
same time and or the figure four or whatever it was,
and they were standing tall at the end of Slammery
ninety seven. We did a deep dive on that last year,
and uh yeah, just I guess Hogan was like, yeah,
that's not happening for me.

So all that for nothing? Nope, all that for nothing.
Uh And my last random note here is that we
did get a Slamberrey promo on this show, not from Haulkgan,
but from Dusty Rhodes, Bobby Hennon and Larrus Abisco, and
they were talking about what's that.

I thought it was very weird.

I thought so too to talk about They all were
talking about how we need somebody to stop Haulk Hogan.
He's too good, he went in too much. And it
was just like, what is this? Like I understand that
Slambered began as like the night of Legends of the
Legends reunion, so I guess they had like Legends just
hating on the top heel being the old haters. You

know what I'm saying, It like he needs to be
stopped at it. And Dusty Road was sitting in the
chair talking about that was his promo for Slambered. And
then hawk Hogan, like you said, wasn't even at Slambery,
So what's the what was this promo?

I don't get it, no idea. The brain heenan.

That's the American w W has got a lot of
problems right now. Too many guys setting their soul.

he's not even gonna be here. Just watch the show please.
It was pretty wild. It was pretty wild that that promo,

not really wild, just like felt pointless to me.

Was Sting? You know? Sting's last appearance was uncensored the
month before he finally attacks the nWo. And then I
don't think he appeared at Slamboree, and I don't remember
him appearing at Great American Bash ninety seven. I don't
even remember if he appeared at Bash at the Beach.
So it's like, what do we do? Like, I know

(01:33:21):
he's at you know, weekly TV, but everyone's expecting to
see him at the pay per views to help WCW.
When he's not always there after uncensored, So I don't
know what we're supposed to make it at. To me,
it's more of like it's like when Rick Steiner got
demolished by Nash and then you go back to Gene

Oakland and was standing with Lex Luger and the Giant.
They're like, yeah, we just watched what happened. It's like
you were there watching and he didn't come out and.

Uh? You know, Nick Patrick looked better than you, Bias
looked better than you because they said enough was enough.
You couldn't be bothered to go out there and at
least stop Nash from doing that. Like even though it
was during the course of a match, like, oh, it's weird.

M it was very weird. But yeah, that's why I
had it in my last random note. It's a strange,
strange time in w's W.

They mentioned the reason Kevin Nash can request Nick Patrick
as the referee for that match was because after they
won that match and uncensored gave them basically authority over
what they can do. That was not the stipulation. The
stipulation for that on Sensor match was if TMNWO won,
they can buy for any titles at any WCW events

(01:35:33):
after that. Like that was the stipulation. It wasn't, oh,
they can, you know, request whatever they want like that
wasn't the stipulation that was VI for titles at any moment.
So they didn't even have to make Nick Patrick the
referee for that match. And I just don't like how
they explained that for a company even the announcers that

(01:35:53):
were so good at filling in the holes. They didn't
fill in that one because I remember it very clearly
that that was the stipulation. I don't like that they
tried to sell us on that being the stipulation. So
they got me hot, I can tell.

Speaker 1 (01:36:09):
I can tell.

Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
We also have no doubt Danny McBride and Nick Patrick
are related.

Speaker 1 (01:36:14):
Right on this night, they look like it. Nick Patrick
walked straight out to eastbound and down for sure. I'm
just like the cutoff shirt that the mullet, the dustash.

It's incredible, incredible lookike man.

Well that is Slamberree n not Slamberrie. Jesus Springs Dampede

Any other last thoughts before we kind of wrap it
up here for episode four twenty eight.

Don't like the nWo implosion thing. I thought it didn't
make sense here. I don't know why it was a thing.
Don't know why if if they felt like they needed something,
I don't still red hot. I don't think they needed
a dissension angle at this time. I do think they
should have saved it for when Hulkogan finally lost the

title to Sting and then do that. But they eventually
did the double or the two groups. But I think
it could have started that after Hulk lost the title.
I don't know why you started, you know, in April,
and then I know he lost the title the Lex Luger,
but that was like, I don't count that. You wait
till December for him to lose the title, and why

(01:37:30):
do you have that dissension? Angle smack dab of them
at all? Ninety seven just didn't make sense to me.
And then they eventually just come back together. It's like
Randy Savage and Eric Bischoff, right, they're cool with each other.
They're on probation with each other. You know, they're not
gonna hit each other anymore. It's probition. Weird. I remember
thinking it was weird, but it was WCW hot being hot,

(01:37:52):
and I was like, I don't care because it's not like,
you know, WCW announcers are like hypen this, it's oh
there's dissension. Oh you kind of get excited that something's
gonna happen, but it's very clearly not. So that's just annoyed. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:38:09):
Yeah, it just felt like we were waiting for something
else to happen, and it didn't happen, and that's a
tough way to go for a pay per view. We
spent twenty ninety nine and ninety ninety seven dollars. That
was some hard earned money right there to get a
show just like to be continued. But I guess it's
every show to a sec an extent, but like this

(01:38:29):
show felt like that more so than others. I didn't
feel like anything really got resolved outside of I guess
DDP beating Savage and ending that story, and maybe they
kind of spun another one forward with the NWOL, which
I wasn't, like you said, wasn't really ready for the
in fighting yet, but here we were only like what
a year in But things would get better, I guess,

(01:38:51):
you know, towards the Tailor. In ninety seven, Lex Luger
win the title. You know, Sting won the title. Some
things happened, but let's wrap it up for episode four
