Dr. Patrice Muhammad and Darlene Muhammad, RN, joined Straight Words radio for an eye opening discussion about Black folk, cancer, alternative healing and research and its value.
Patient demand is driving more doctors to consider alternative healing, said Dr. Patrice, who is a naturopathic physician also trained in traditional medicine. She shared some of the ways alternative medicines can be used alone or in concert with traditional medicine and encourage healing.
Sister Darlene joined her and shared thoughts about alternative healing and her experiences as a nurse in a major Chicago hospital. They shared information about a Virtual National Cancer Treatment Symposium in Chicago, scheduled for April 5 that will include a bevy of experts, case studies and a full day of information from 9am to 5pm Central.
Discussions will includes alternative cancer treatments, the history of alternative cancer treatment, alternative cancer treatment versus conventional cancer treatment, the genetics of cancer, the cancer diet, the cancer personality, results of a study last year.
