Happy 92nd birth anniversary Min. Louis Farrakhan!
In our first hour May 6 we were blessed to have honor, pay tribute and bear witness to a man who has served our community for 70 years: The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
We had a powerful testimony from co-host Bj Murphy, who is also executive director of We Are One Charlotte in North Carolina, about the work he is doing with others to combat violence and help solve problems in our neighborhoods. There has been a drop in killings in Charlotte and Brother Bj hopes their efforts are paying off.
He talked about how the Minister, his teachings and his example motivated him to seek solutions, uplift, educate, inspire and resurrect our people as part of a divine mission and the monumental work of a divine man who we have been blessed with.
Straight Words radio hosts Naba'a Richard Muhammad, Bj Murphy and James G. Muhammad took calls from listeners who shared what the Minister has brought to their lives. His actual birthday is May 11.
Brother Naba'a Muhammad Muhammad and Brother James G. Muhammad also talked about their experiences with the Minister and how he has made an incredible impact on our community and the world as well as his place in the divine mission of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad, his teacher.
