While growing up on a former golf course in Mankato, Fred chased striped squirrels instead of gophers and shares his stories of learning about grass, trees, and all things horticulture. Fred speaks amorously about how his daughters caught the volleyball bug from him and how his oldest daughter parlayed her volleyball skill into a Division 1 offer to play volleyball for the US Naval Academy.
