I often end correspondence, talks and even video podcasts with the phrase “take good care.” To “take good care,” we must go beyond our thoughts and dive deep into our beliefs about ourselves and the world around us.
Taking good care is more than a spa day or a day spent with friends, although those activities are fun and revitalizing. Taking good care requires introspective action that may be challenging and uncomfortable. We must sometimes allow ourselves to be vulnerable to get to those deep places that keep us from moving forward.
In this episode of “Stress Talk” Live with Marcyline, we are going to share “3 steps Black Women Can Take to Practice Emotional Self-Care.”
Marcyline Bailey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Georgia and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. She is the owner of M.L. Bailey Consultants, LLC, a private therapy practice that specializes in grief, loss, anxiety, and depression.
Ms. Bailey is the host of "Stress Talk" a video and audio podcast that focuses on helping women live healthy lives through strategic stress management and solution focused self-care.
