And welcome to another episode of Stuck in My Mind
podcast. I am your host, w I z e. And my next
guest, she's an award winning transformational coach, consultant,
and motivational speaker with over twenty years of experience in marketing,
public relations, and entrepreneurship. Welcome to the
show. Alicia I know I was gonna mess this, so I was thinking

(01:04):
too hard but, fortunately. Yes. Thank
you. Thank you so much. Happy to be here.
Oh, I was thinking about it too much. That's how are you
how are you today? I'm doing well. Thanks Thanks
for having me on here. Oh, the pleasure's all mine. Pleasure's all mine. So let's
just jump right into it. So what pivotal moment in your

(01:26):
life led you to shift from corporate marketing career to to
intuitive healing and and coaching? Yeah. That's a great
question, because that's not what I wanted to be when I would grow up at
all. Actually, it was more in the advertising marketing field.
So I spent, you know, many years in marketing sales. That's my huge
background. And I found it to be I had a

(01:50):
very unhealed inner child while I was doing that. So it was, like, great one
month, and then the next month, it was kind of slow. Great one month, slow
the next month. And so it was like this hustle, hustle, hustle, got onto
this complete train of every time I would have a good month, it's like, well,
that's great. You can't really celebrate it because you gotta worry about the next ninety
days coming in. So that was kind of the mentality for the sales portion of

(02:10):
it. And the marketing, I actually absolutely loved that portion of it.
But I just found that I always wanted to do business coaching. I always wanted
to teach people how to open up a business, particularly,
like, women, just to get to that point to where. So when
I started my coaching career off, I noticed that the
client my clients weren't exactly thinking they could do it. They didn't quite have the

(02:33):
self confidence. So we'd have to back up and start doing some mindset work with
it, which, you know, as entrepreneurs, we all need the mindset work period,
ongoing. Was it what at you know, on a everyday
basis, pretty much. But I was trying to find I was like, well, okay. So
we don't need to, like, working on business plans or marketing plans or all these
other things if we need to go back up a little bit and do some
mindset coaching. And that's funny because it's like, when I hire when

(02:56):
I have people hire me hire Beyond to their coach,
they always bring out things in myself. I'm like, oh, I need to go back
and revisit that too. I need to go work on some things too. So
I hired a coach, and in nine ninety days, she actually taught me how
to, for introduced me to energy work, introduced me to breath work,
introduced me to meditation. And I found that so profound, and it

(03:18):
completely changed my life that I started doing that with my clients too. So
I kinda backed out. I do work with a lot of entrepreneurs. I kinda backed
out, from doing just primarily or just completely only
with entrepreneurs. And I work with, you know, people who have nine to five
jobs and other type of careers. But now I incorporate
this entire, like, clearing out our nervous

(03:40):
system through meditation, through breath work, and then energy healing
on top of, the inner child work. And I find that to be very beneficial,
especially particular for business owners now. Oh, yeah.
No. I've actually had a guest come on, and we did
some breath work while we did the Oh, nice. Yeah. Show, and it
was, it was amazing like that. After that, I'm like,

(04:01):
oh, man. I gotta start doing this more often and and so I'm still working
on it. I'm still working on it, but it it was a great experience for
me. Yeah. So how did you first discover the
power of intuition, and what practices helped you unlock it?
Yeah. So I feel I've always probably been a little intuitive, but
as I was I was brought into a super conservative, super religious

(04:24):
background. My parents were super fear based,
and so it was didn't align up with what I was taught. So I didn't
quite understand what these gifts were. I call them gifts now because they're
completely gifts. Mhmm. I didn't understand. It's kinda like this thing you just push back.
No. No. No. You gotta go ecological portion of whatever you've been taught. And if
that doesn't in the box again, that that doesn't line up, then you

(04:46):
can't you can't go exploring into other is it anything
else outside of what you've been taught? So I had that guilt and kinda shame
behind me. And then I hit to the point that really was when I hired
when I hired my the coach, and she introduced me to this, and she was
had kind of a diff it's kinda a little bit same base basis,
faith based that I kinda grew up in a little bit. And I'm like, well,

(05:08):
okay. But I thought if I they kind of lied I've caught lied to, and
I've come come far out of what my belief system was, you know, growing
up, then what's to say this not this all these amazing things out
there. So that's when I started to connect more intuitively, and it came to me
very quickly. I tell people and I've had, like, people tell me past lives. I
was a shaman. I have all these multiple different amazes. This is not my first

(05:29):
rodeo apparently in this working world, so which is fantastic.
And it it makes a lot of sense to me now because I was able
to simply tap straight into into that the intuitive gifts that I
have that we all actually have, but I was very easily able to tap to.
I also was taught to listen as a child. Like, you listen, you don't speak,
you listen. And so I think listening was a big portion of it too as

(05:51):
it was very easy for me to start to listen to this. And then when
I was starting to figure out if it wasn't fear based, then it was
probably my intuition. So I had it took me a while to kinda start
trusting myself because I didn't really trust anything or trust a
lot of people at all, and I didn't really trust myself at all. And so
I had to learn to start trusting myself and learning to trust the divine the

(06:11):
guides that were giving me information and the downloads. And and then after
working with clients and come you know, confirming some things, I'm like, I don't know.
This sounds crazy. And they're like, oh, I know what that means. Oh, I said
this is like, okay. Cool. Then I'm not not as crazy.
Yeah. I talk to people who have who have tapped into their
gifts and then have the same type of experiences has really started

(06:33):
really confirmed my I wasn't crazy. But I do
have, like, an actual ability, and it's amazing gift that's given to
me, and I should definitely utilize it. So Definitely. No. It it is
something that, and I've had people come on and and talk about intuitive and
all. And it it it is a gift. It it it's something that you're blessed
with, and and and a lot of us do have it. We're just not

(06:55):
aware of it. We just Yeah. Or or we're so we're
so programmed with everything that we've heard,
learned about in life and everything that we just tune it out and don't listen
to it. Yeah. I mean, can you imagine if we all walked around listening to
our intuitions, how powerful we would be? Yeah.
Absolutely. A lot of reasons why it's tuned down and toned down,

(07:18):
for control reasons, I believe, but we can rise straight out of that into
and we it's like our inner inner everybody has this little inner compass with inside
of themselves. Yeah. I mean, back in the caveman days yeah. They
didn't go Google something. They just like, okay. What feels good? Yeah. We're gonna go
here. They just knew. Yeah. Knew where to go. We knew how to do. And
somehow, we have as the human race survived for so long

(07:39):
on our intuition. Oh, okay. So
earlier this month, I had there was
someone I had a had had on as a guest. Alright? And
and she she just she sends out emails to to people, and she was
offering a five day course, but she coaches women. And
I was like, you know what? I'm a sign up for the course just to

(08:02):
support and everything. And but something told me, like once I saw the email,
like, I read I looked at it. I was like, this
this is something I wanna do. This is personally like, personally, this is something I
wanna do, and I signed up. And I'm very grateful that I did because
it it opened up so many different things. Like, one of the things she
had me do was, write a letter

(08:24):
to to the to to the universe and because I'm not
a religious person. I am I am a spiritual person. Yeah. Right. And
and and she had me write out a letter. And I wrote this letter
out and, didn't just had
it, and and I let my wife read it.
And after I wrote that letter, things just started

(08:46):
happening. Yes. Things started falling into place. Things just
started just appear like, just it was just like,
okay. I put out I put out this letter, and now
these things are falling into place. And I just found it
amazing, and I couldn't wait till the next day to tell her because it was
like, yo, listen. I did what you told me with the

(09:07):
letter, and and this happened. And then a
couple of days later, this happened, and it was just an amazing it was
just an amazing experience. Yeah. It's amazing when we get
really clear on our what intentions of what we want. And by letter writing,
that's definitely get you get super, super clear on it. Mhmm. Because we
ask we're asking the universe to to gift us with things, but we're not even

(09:29):
knowing exactly we want money, but it's like, okay. Let's describe
that. Well, really, what you want is a feeling behind it. So what if you
didn't have the money? Could you still grab that feeling? You could. But in order
to get into the same I mean, I'm not gonna say that we don't all
want money. It comes to come in and flow straight in, and that's not the
whole you know, it could be a part the purpose of whatever you're doing to

(09:49):
manifest in. Like, you're really you have to get to the same frequency. And once
you get to the same frequency of whatever that is, which is nothing more
than, like, love and kindness when you think about it. Yeah. Then you're going
to to manifest so many amazing things in your life, and it's such a
cool prod process. And that's really awesome that you were able to do that.
Oh, and then it it led me it led me to writing my prayer that

(10:11):
I say every morning, and it it's just
it's just been a like, I I was kinda down because I
was, in February in December, I was supposed to have this
procedure done, and something happened. I couldn't have it done, and it was
it was no and if I didn't get this procedure done, I wouldn't have I
wouldn't been able to have a certain surgery. Mhmm.

(10:35):
And I was down. I'm like, oh, no. This now the surgery is gonna get
pushed back pushed back to March and and
and some it it worked out. I ended up getting the pre the
procedure done in January, so I was able to keep my surgery
date, which was January 21. And
it it it was like, okay. After this but

(10:57):
this is aft like, this was before I wrote the letter, and
everything started happening after I wrote the letter. Like, I was able to get the
get the procedure done, and and everything was falling into place. And it was
like, oh my god. This is this is this this does
work. Like, if you put it out there, it's gonna it's gonna happen.
And I was just amazed that

(11:19):
I I don't want I don't wanna say it was simple, but it it was
just like, if you put it out there and and you're
receptive to it, then things start falling into place.
The third level is you have to surrender it. Yeah.
You have to put it out there, and you have to surrender to the process.
So we want to control everything how it got there. So it sounds like maybe

(11:40):
you put that in the letter. You just kinda surrendered it out there. You're kinda
accepting of this. It's probably not gonna have but you've had this had hope and
faith in it. And so you're still at that that level, that frequency of it.
But then we well, if we don't surrender it, we start to want to control
everything. When we start to control everything is exactly
when things start to go away because we're not seeing all the off

(12:01):
awesome opportunities that are all around it. We're not seeing all the things that are
happening, and we're so controlled on if it doesn't happen this certain way, it's a
failure. When that's not the end result didn't need to be
that. We didn't need to be control the whole thing. So, yeah,
that's awesome. It was this has been it's been great.
Can can can you can you share a personal

(12:24):
experience where overcoming a limiting belief transformed your life?
Wow. Yeah. There's so many of them. Oh my
gosh. Let's see. She has many as you like. I'm like, let me go
back. What's my roast most, recent?
I guess, a limiting belief would be
I have I I used to struggle a lot with worthiness, and that's something that,

(12:47):
you know, I would I'm not worthy of of going doing the certain things.
I'm not worthy of this. I'm not worthy of that. And it came down to,
like, when I was doing, like you know, opening a coaching program, my coaching thing
several years ago was, like, I don't feel like I'm good enough to coach other
people. I don't think I'm good enough to do this. And when I started to
release that that mindset and started to realize

(13:09):
that I am worthy that the right people will start to come in is when
it started things started to really blossom in, started to to open
up. And so that's that's a limiting belief I personally have struggled with for many,
many, many, many years. I'm not perfect at it. I still have
those days that I'm like, no. I don't feel worthy enough. But then I know
back to go back into my inner child and be like, hey. Little Alicia, you

(13:31):
are worthy. You are loved. You feel safe. Another one, I
think, it would be feeling safe with other people
as in to be oh, my truly authentic who I am. I don't feel unsafe,
you know, physically unsafe, but just be emotionally safe. It's I'm not
safe to be to open up to other people. But I find the more that
I do open up to other people, and being on podcast like this has really

(13:52):
helped a lot, is I'm able to feel more safe. I'm able to
that there is safety when it comes to relationships. There is safety getting to
know other people. There is the safety that comes along with that.
And it is safe to to open up to other people when you're, you know,
feel worthy and you're healed enough. Oh, yeah. No.
With me, podcasting, when I've I

(14:15):
I I have purchased in 2019, I purchased a little podcast
studio. Yeah. And I I was I was supposed to do a
sports talk show with a friend of mine, and it didn't it it fell
through. But I would start recording, and I was like, no.
Who's gonna who's gonna wanna I was just there was so much self
doubt and and and so much negative talk to

(14:37):
myself. Mhmm. And it was like, who's gonna wanna listen to me? Why would I
wanna do this podcast? Just me just making up
any and every excuse not to do a podcast. And
then I I got furloughed from work in,
2020 because of the pandemic and everything. And I was home,
and the wife had me I had a honey to do list out the door,

(14:59):
and and and I was like, yo, I need to find something to do.
And and so I finally decide I I I had one day, I was
on the phone with my nephew, and I had this this the little
podcast to set up, and I just
decided to press record. And I held the
phone to the mic because I didn't have the proper setups. It was just

(15:22):
and we've recorded, like, five, seven five to ten minutes or
so. Yeah. And he was like, oh, you can't
release that. I'm like, why not? He's like, no. We gotta wait till it's perfect.
I'm like, no. I'm like, I've been struggling to release this for
the longest. I'm like, no. We're gonna release this because, eventually, I want people to
see the growth. I want people to see where we started

(15:44):
at to where we're at now. And
so it was something it was me just
stepping out of my comfort zone Yeah. And and stepping out
of that fear and just going, you know what? Let me just
release it. And that's what I did, and that's how I started. And and, of
course, with each episode, I got more, gained more

(16:06):
confidence. Yeah. It was just like, okay. I can do this. I can I can
really do this? And and that's where Stacking My Mind was born.
It's that one one that one thing you just said.
You made a move. Mhmm. You did made the first move, and then you opened
it up. So the that's the hardest part is we want to get so stuck,
and we're so stuck in our ways. I'll use my book. Like, I'm right right

(16:28):
now, I'm working on writing my book. And I'm gonna take the year to do
it. It may come out in six months or maybe the end of the year.
But I was supposed to do this last year, but I kept making
excuses and excuses. And I was I'm not gonna have to write a book. I
don't have, like and, plus, I didn't wanna have to go back and relive all
the the wounds and traumas that, that's gonna be in my
book. Yeah. But I kept putting that literally to believe. And finally, it's the first

(16:50):
year. I was like, you know what? I have to make the first step. And
so I have. And I've been spending one hour every single day writing
or researching or doing whatever I need to do with it. So it's a when
you make that first step and it's been flowing. Like, everything the title, everything started
coming to me. Once I picked up that one that pen and that paper and
I made it was like the universe. I was like, sitting here trying to please,

(17:10):
you know, give me, like, all the information and all of what this book needs
to be about. And they're like, we're not making any effort to do it, so
I'm not gonna give it to you. But once I started making that effort to
do it, like, okay. Now now you're now you're in the game. Now now you
wanna start playing. Alright. We're gonna give it to you. You're you're gonna start.
Yeah. Now you're ready. Here you go. Yeah. Now you're ready, and you're gonna actually
make effort. We're gonna start giving you the knowledge and information that you need

(17:32):
to to make this happen. And I don't know how it's being gonna be published,
but I don't care. It's gonna it's gonna flow. It's gonna that's gonna come.
Listen. I hope that's gonna come. It's gonna happen. Believe me, it's gonna
happen. And and Yeah. Is it
you you talk about this publish. My my nephew had published one book
already, and

(17:54):
when we started with because we had we had been we
hadn't been close in years. We had and and podcasting
brought us together where now we're we're the best of friends, and and we
spend we communicate almost every day, and and we've worked on
so many diff we've built so many different things. We we've launched
a Internet radio station. We've launched, our

(18:17):
YouTube channel. We, we we published a second book.
We were self published, his second his second book, and
it's just been amazing to see the just and now and now lately,
we've we've been going through some stuff because, the last couple of years, we've
been dealing with my mom's health. She she, she passed last year from
dementia, and she she had Alzheimer's and dementia, and and we were really

(18:40):
struggling with with that for for a while. Yeah. But we we
we've been dealing with a lot of stuff,
but we we've decided this year is, like, no. We gotta really start we
gotta get back to it. We gotta get back to to creating and doing what
we're doing. He's working on writing his third book, getting getting that published.
I'm working on on on getting into coaching and speaking

(19:03):
and and things that because doing this has opened up so
many opportunities for me and has opened up my eyes to so many different things
that I'm I'm like, man, I would love to do that.
And this and and to me, I'm a I'm a natural teacher.
I I I have the patience. I like you, I I listen. And
so it was like coaching was, like, one of the things I'm

(19:24):
like, I can do this. And, of course, you always have that
self doubt. But since the beginning of the year, doing what I've been
doing and speaking to certain people and them and and them telling me, oh,
you got the ability to do this. One of one
of the amazing things with the letter, like I said, I let my wife read
it. Right? And then there, I talked about I wanted her to do

(19:45):
coaching and and all this. And a and a situation
arose, and she I was
gonna I was gonna just she had people come over, and and I
was gonna just go into a room. And and she says, no. I need you
out here. I said, what? She says, you wanna be a coach. Right? I said,
yeah. She says, well, I have an opportunity for you right

(20:07):
now. And and it and it went amazing. It was,
like, something that she went and after this after the session and
everything, she was like, well, I was like, I
that felt great. That felt amazing. And she's like, yeah. See? Now she
says she goes, I was she said, I was amazed at
you how how well you were doing. She was like, I I now I see

(20:29):
that you truly do wanna do this. And and so having
her push me because of the
letter, again, because of the letter and and going out
and and realizing, like, oh, okay. And like I said, when
you put when you put it out, things come out. Things happen. Like I do.
You're clear on it. Yeah. Definitely. Desires in you that

(20:52):
are there big for a reason. They're not something you just make up just because
it's been placed on your heart and inside of you, and that's who you are.
And, you know, we take all these desires for granted, and we have all the
limiting beliefs behind. We can't do this. We can't do this. But those desires were
given to you because that is your your true purpose and nature and your
desire to do that. And yeah. That's

(21:13):
amazing. No. It it
I was honestly, I've I'm 48 now. I'll be
49. But when I started podcasting four
four years ago, five years ago, I
didn't have a purpose. I didn't know what I wanted to do with
life. And since I started podcasting, it's really

(21:35):
helped me find my purpose and helped me to show me that,
okay, I wanna help people. I wanna I wanna inspire people.
I want people to listen to this podcast and be like, man,
I've I felt that way. I've been stuck that way. And and
it's happened. I've had people comment or send me messages.
I had thank you for this episode. I had to listen to it.

(21:59):
It it was like, wow. Okay. This is what I'm this is what I'm supposed
to be doing. I'm supposed to be helping helping people
do whatever it is they're going through by by having these
conversations because at the same time, I'm learning. I'm
growing. I I give the person that that's here speaking
and a platform to share their journey and their stories. And then someone out

(22:21):
there who might be listening, and they're like, I know how that
feels. Yeah. Yeah.
Podcasting is the best. It's like I tell on my own
podcast, I'm like, I I feel like I get free coaching all the time. I
learn new stuff. And so I ask questions. Like, my audience is very resonated
probably with my with who I am. And so I'll ask questions, obviously, they

(22:43):
wanna hear, but things I gotta learn. That I wanna hear too. Yeah. Of course.
Yeah. It's so cool. It was funny. Right? Because there there was at
one point I felt I felt I
felt selfish. Right? Because I was enjoying these
conversations so much, and I was learning and
gaining. And then one of my guests and I told this to one of my

(23:04):
guests, and they were of course, there was a coach and and and trainer and
they're and they go, there's nothing selfish about what you're doing.
Absolutely not. That you you wanna grow and you wanna develop, but at the
same time, you're also sharing this with other people. Mhmm. She's
like, there's nothing selfish about wanting to to develop and grow as a
person. Yeah. Now if you hoard these videos and you just keep it to

(23:27):
yourself, then, yeah, they're a problem. But you're sharing these videos. You're
sharing these conversations with other people. Yeah. There's nothing selfish
about that. But, of course, you know,
being human, these are just some things you emotions you go through, and sometimes this
is how that's that's how I just felt. But I just had to express it
to them, and they were like, there's nothing selfish about that. No.

(23:49):
And the the more that you learn, the more you're teaching other people, it's a
lie it's a light effect. That's why I tell people it's so important, you
know, to do the work for yourself, but also for other people.
Because when we start to become into who we're supposed grew
created to be into our into our true selves or to the self Yeah.
We start to light. And then we shine the light, and guess what happens? We

(24:10):
start to attract the right people. Now we may repel some people. They're just not
ready yet. You're gonna start attracting. Guess what's gonna happen? Your flame is
gonna light the next flame, and the guest is gonna light the next flame and
the next flame. And they're they're gonna tell some people. And before you know it,
you might be I mean, how did you think about Tony Robbins or all the
big coaches out there, you know, people who have this major

(24:30):
platform, they start with one person telling them something
that made a difference in their lives, and they just took it and reign with
it. So when we're talking, we're telling people we never know who you're
gonna light up. You never you're when you're treating kindness to that one
child or that one person who's hurting, when you give them kindness, you never know
what difference that makes for them. And guess what happens? They

(24:52):
start to emanate kindness because when people you have love all around
you, love always wins, and it always starts to shine. And it starts
to just make this massive, massive movement that we need in our
world today. And so anybody who is doing any type of self improvement
and wanting to help, I mean, you're not only doing it for yourself, you're doing
it for every every single person you care about. Yeah.

(25:14):
Absolutely. So, how how has
your background in marketing and public relations influenced the way you approach
coaching and healing? Yeah. I don't know if
it definitely approach it can makes it any different.
I'm able to I'm a perfectionist. I'm a re I'm a

(25:35):
recovering perfectionist. And so when it comes to marketing and
that stuff, I don't do the best job with it because I'm a
perfect time, and I it's time consuming. I'll get down the rabbit hole and stuff.
So I know when to outsource and what not to do, and sometimes I just
stay off of social media, which is really my platform,
for for marketing these days. But, yeah, I don't know if it necessarily has

(25:57):
changed anything that has to do with but it's given me helping I
mean, running those business helped me have compassion for other people,
compassion for what they're going through, compassion for their struggles, compassion for the
the fact when they feel like the victims, compassion for other people not
understanding them, compassion that they're on this feel like sometimes you're on this
unsalted little rock by yourself, and you don't have anybody, you know, around

(26:19):
you to help you and support you. Yeah. So, yeah, I think that's probably the
biggest thing it's helped me do, as far as, you
know, learning to have I just try to have compassion for people
because every all been in different situations. And even if we don't agree with the
mindset, you can't get you can't coach. You can't get through to people if you're
judging them and you're not having that compassion and grace and showing them love.

(26:41):
Yeah. That repels people away. Absolutely.
What what does what does living a life by design mean to you? And
and how can someone start implementing this concept in
their life? Yeah. So we have to I think life
should be we should have very there's two things. So we should there needs to
be intentional, but we don't have to have everything so structured out to where we

(27:02):
don't have time for the surrendering part we talked about before. We
don't have time for the letting things flow into, for the surprises, for the
to see opportunities. We get so structured and we get so just determined
on one thing and we're just one narrow minded. We're not seeing all the beautiful
things that are popping up all around us and they're always around us. However,
we have to design our lives because we can't just show up every single day.

(27:25):
I mean, you have people who I'm gonna say that I'm gonna give the description
of probably the average American. They wake up.
They I'm sorry. Average American with kids. They wake up. They get the
kids up. They're yelling and screaming. They're trying to figure out what to do all
day long or all in the mornings. They finally get the kids out to go
to school or take to day care. They get they're late. They don't eat breakfast

(27:47):
because they're so stressed out. They barely got a shower. They're getting into the
car. They're yelling at their kids in the back seat because they're fighting back there.
Everybody's just hectic hectic, hectic life. You get the kids dropped off. They walk into
work. They're probably five minutes late because they are started their day off late. They
haven't had any nutrients. They haven't had any exercise. They haven't had anything
good in their in their minds. It's been for wake up to

(28:09):
struggle, wake up to try to get to get
through life. So you get to work, and then your boss is mad, yelling at
you. I'm just saying or you have all these project projects. You sit and you
get to lunch, and it's like, by the time you get to lunch, you're
exhausted, but you forgot to pack your lunch. There you go. You go to fast
food. You go get a fast food. You go to McDonald's. You go whatever is

(28:29):
quick because you need con continue to work because we're a corporate world. Corporate world
doesn't stop. You go twenty four seven all the time, and it doesn't stop.
That's the core how how it was designed. And then you may leave at five
or six o'clock, whatever time you're fighting traffic to get to go pick
your kids up from school if your spouse or has or your partner didn't pick
them up. And they're getting home. Who has time to cook dinner because

(28:51):
you're having to go drop your kids off at the next activity and the next
activity. And by the time you get done, you're at 08:00. So you run back
through another drive through and eat more processed foods, which
is not good for your brain. Mhmm. And you're getting home, you're getting the kids
in the bath, and then you're just crashing. And then you're up on your phone
or you're you're you're zoning out with Netflix this entire time.

(29:12):
You're zoning out. You're not you're not having to take any time to decompress from
the day, and that be and then you're crashing going to sleep. And then you're
getting, what, five, six, seven five to six hours probably most So most
people in America do get that much sleep in their on in this time of
their life, then you do it the next day. And you're working for the weekends,
but the weekends are so taken over with everything else going

(29:32):
on in your life that you don't have time to decompress. So we're on a
hamster wheel running, running, running. That's not designing your life.
Yeah. But designing your life is starting from the next morning
before we're doing the the the habits, the small little habits that
get you ready for the next morning. Mhmm. And taking that time in the
morning, the first thing you do is not to get on your phone. That's the

(29:54):
worst thing you can do. The first thing you do is to meditate or if
you're a prayer a prayer or to go into some type of
self love breath work, anything you wanna do to calm your
nervous system down to keep it as long as it can in that
non not unregulated state. And then you
wanna flow into your day. Then you wanna wake the kids up. Then you and

(30:16):
it may require you getting up a little bit early, and it may require you
going to bed a little bit early. It may require no more Netflix. Mhmm. Definitely
cut the news out, people. If you're listening to the news Yeah. I don't
I don't watch the news. Shut off. That's the first thing I tell my my
clients do. You're not allowed to watch the news. You get ten minutes a day
to watch whatever. You can get caught up on that. And they freak out at
first, but then they thank me. Later, they're like, I'd have forgot about it. Like,

(30:38):
I've just had the best day. I didn't watch the news today. I'm like so
it's just that's the little habits and steps that we're doing to
get us there. But the major thing is is we can change all the habits
and change all the structures and change everything and design our life. But if we
haven't addressed any type of wounds or the traumas or anything going on in our
that has got us to this this point, and we're not taking care of

(31:00):
our inner child, not taking care of our self, then we're not it doesn't really
matter. You can have all the systems in the world, but if you don't have
they're not intentional. Yeah. And you're still in
survival mode, which most of us in The United
States are in survival mode and probably a a good portion of the world
Mhmm. Is in survival mode. We have to come off of that. That's not design

(31:21):
the life we're designed. Where life we're designed was to produce
love and kindness for people. How can you produce love and kindness for people
if you're in survival mode? Yeah. You can't. You have to take
we have to start filling our cups up first. We have to start filling it
all the way up and letting it overflow.
But instead, we're giving giving giving giving giving giving giving. My cuts. And you are

(31:44):
wondering why we have nothing else to give, and we're crashing, and we're
unhealthy, and we have all the stuff going on. And it really goes back to
you, again, designing designing your life and what do you want it to look like.
And that's something I've been able to learn I've been able to learn over the
past few years is, not surround
myself with people that are draining. Yes. There's some people that

(32:07):
just drain you and drain you and drain you and drain you, and you're like,
I can't take this. And so I've I've learned how to cut those people out
of my life where, I don't I don't need I don't need
you sucking away my energy. I'm
I'm already purse I'm already a person who who who
I I I share my energy already. I don't need you

(32:28):
sucking it away from me. Like, just draining me and taking it all and
absorb it. Especially and that's why conversations like
this is so so fulfilling for me because
in the process, the the energy is trans is is
transferring. It's just flowing back and forth, back and forth. It's just
not one person just taking, taking, taking. And these comp and and

(32:51):
there was one time when I first started, I was probably
doing four interviews a day. Well, there was one time I did four interviews a
day. And at the last interview, the
person knew I had I had done three prior interviews, and they were like, thank
you. I was like, why? They're like, because you you're still so
energized. I I was like, because I love doing

(33:12):
this. And the fact that I had some great conversations, the three
the three interviews prior were some great conversations, and then the four phone was just
as amazing. And it was because the energy just
kept flowing. It it it was just giving back and forth, giving back and
forth. It wasn't just someone just taking. And
so when you have that and when you find something that you

(33:34):
love doing, it is not draining.
No. It's not. And that's such a great point is
the they say it was a five or seven I so I'm just gonna call
it the five people you hang out with the most or the ones that influence
you. Influence the most. Yeah. So and you can have
a relationship with people and not have a relationship with them. You could love them

(33:54):
from afar. You can cut and not you can kindly cut
off any type of negative interact or eliminate the
negative interactions as much as you can. Sometimes with family, it's a little more difficult,
but you don't have to. We have choices in life. People think, well, it's my
family or it's my friend. I have my childhood friend for if they're draining
you, it's not worth your energy to get to keep giving out. You can

(34:16):
limit that. You can protect your energy. You can protect yourself when you have to
be in those situations, but you can limit yourself. That's a great thing about us
being adults and have being able to make decisions for ourselves and to
have I mean, people think they they act people act sometimes act like they're
helpless. They don't have any, like, I have to do this and I do that.
I'm like, no. You don't. You get to make every single decision in your life.

(34:36):
Mhmm. You get to make a decision to get out of bed. The only thing
you're not making decision about is breathe I mean, I guess,
breathing. I guess you could you could make a decision not to and you're dead,
but I mean, not not take that lightly. But, I mean,
really, you can make decisions on you get that choice, and it's the free will
and it's the amazingness of it. And once you realize you can make those decisions,

(34:57):
it's empowering. That's the empowerment that we have and we have to take
back for people. We give and drain so much energy out to other people. So
Absolutely. So so we both we both
said that we're both spiritual. How do how do you integrate your spirit your
spiritual and practical strategies to help

(35:18):
people overcome burnout and insecurity?
Yeah. So I think we had we
burnout leads so burnout starts and starts to lead to is when we're
trying to please everyone else. Mhmm. We're trying to to not
coming back to ourself, who we are, our true identity, and we'll go back to
love and light, and that's who we are. Yeah. So everything has to be needs

(35:40):
to be intentional. Are we intentionally saying
yes to something because it's giving love to them,
or are we intentionally doing it out of obligation? There's two different things.
And so we have to really get true to or or what our intentions
are around that. Spiritual practices, I love
actually meditation, I absolute I

(36:02):
challenge everyone. People say they don't like meditation. I challenge them because they haven't been
taught correctly. They put a lot of pressure on themselves to be
perfect. Meditation's messy if you want it to be. It could be whatever you
want it to be. Sitting in silence is the best thing you could do to
sit in silence or just sitting with some type of calming music down. If you
can't get calm, calm your music down. And just listen to what your body how's

(36:23):
your body feeling? Well, I wasn't stations coming in.
What are what are the thoughts that are coming in that aren't fear based?
You know, what are the messages that you said long enough and you asked for
divine guidance? You're gonna get it. You're in the universe. You
ask please please send me what I need to do in this situation.
Was to the highest and best good of all people in my situation, and

(36:46):
then shut up and surrender it. Don't be, like, hoping it's gonna say this or
hoping it's what we do is, like, I want it to say yes, so I'm
gonna make it say yes. And so I'm not not gonna listen until it says
yes. But instead of listening and it's saying, what do
you think, and how does it feel in your body? Mhmm. Well, it feels like
a really good no. This doesn't feel like it lines up with me, but I

(37:06):
really want it to be yes. So, yeah, those are just a couple of
a couple of things. So so how do you
help clients transition from a mindset of fear to one of
empowerment and possibility? Yeah. I think we
have to get really, really, really confident the confident
or have to get really strong in the self worth.

(37:29):
Yes. So we have to really know who we are, and we have to, again,
start tying we have all these exterior things that we're tying ourselves to. We're
tying it to our relationships or, you know, to our husbands or wives. We're tying
it to our children. We're tying it to how much money we make. We're tying
it to the businesses that we own. We're tying it to all this stuff. But
we really have to get back to the solidness of what are

(37:49):
we without those things? Who are you without those things?
What are the core qualities that I have that cannot be taken away from
me? Trust can't be taken away from me if I'm a trustworthy
person. I can choose not to give I could choose not to be trustworthy,
but that can't be taken away from me. Love can't be I can choose not
to be a loving person, but love can't be taken away from me. So getting

(38:11):
back to the core qualities of what what it is that really defined us, I
think, is really the key to it. Yeah. Absolutely. It
it it is it's it is very important that
you you and and that's what was something that I I
would struggle with is
my self worth and my confidence in myself. And that was

(38:34):
one of the issues that I had prior to
me really dedicating to, like, yeah, coaching and speaking
is something I truly wanna do. But, again, it went
it it was like when I started podcasting, it was like, who's gonna wanna listen
to me? Who's gonna wanna be coached by me? What what it what
can I what do I have to offer anyone? And, again, it's

(38:57):
and I had to overcome that. I had to go and I and I and
I've and I've got the mentors. I got the coaches, and and I've
and I've sought to help out. And and through that, that's what helped helped
me improve with silencing
that voice in your head that that keeps telling you, you
can't do it. You can't do it. You can't do it.

(39:18):
Yeah. And fear is we have to really get down to why
we're fear too. Mhmm. So it's like, I'm I'm scared to
I'm say I'm scared to to go into launch this new program.
Why are you scared? Why are you scared to launch it? Because you don't feel
good enough? Well, when is the first time that happened? Okay. So we don't
feel good enough good enough to do this because maybe some kid in my

(39:40):
class told me that I was dumb. Well, was that
true? No. You're not dumb. I don't think anybody is dumb. The
is that you have to start to kinda debunk those that theory and be
and really come back. You know what? I'm really smart because I I'm
a human being, and I'm living and breathing, and, I mean, that takes intelligence
to be able to do that. I'm really smart because I I did this. I'm

(40:02):
really smart just because I know I'm intellectually smart. So you have to get
into into the things that do you start to debunk the fears and figure
out where that fear is coming from. It's not a fear of of getting up
and doing the actual task. It's a fear of what other people are typically
gonna think about you or to and we have to also
you know, when it comes to fear of, like, people thinking about us, what's really

(40:24):
helped for me is I well, I used to be like, oh, they're not gonna
like me. They're not gonna like this. They're not gonna do this. They don't care
what I'm having to say. They're thinking about what they have to say next. They
don't care that I showed up in a most ugly, hideous dress. They may say,
oh, that dress is ugly. They're worried about themselves. Everybody's
more self absorbed. And worried about their own stuff, what they're

(40:45):
going through, that they may give you a little bit of attention for maybe five
minutes. That's it. They're not they're not gonna think about you the
next rest of the day, you know, how hideous or ugly that dress or how
bad you messed up on this podcast or how bad I something
I said five five minutes ago that didn't make any sense to
them, they're not gonna think about that because they're thinking about themselves.

(41:05):
Everybody's self absorbed. So if we can start to cut to understand that, we
can start to take some of the pressure off of ourself to be perfect
and for everyone to like us. Absolutely.
So so you started the the Intuitive Revolution podcast.
How how has that shaped your your mission?

(41:25):
Yeah. So I started this, and it's still a passion project. So I started
it a over a year ago, and I was gonna be
just getting some information out. It's gonna be a marketing channel maybe, and I was
gonna see if I'm gonna like this. So I got about seven episodes in or
something. I was like, I really like this. Started having guests come on and, like,
kinda like you. It was like, I have this amazing guest to come on just

(41:46):
talking about their life story. There's some really cool,
like, spiritual stuff they're doing, and it's very fascinating. And so
I've learned and grown so much from from learning from other people,
and it's also given me a platform to be able to put out information that
I believe in Mhmm. To other people, to be
able to see that and to from a loving standpoint to where it's not.

(42:08):
They kinda break some things down for them. You know, it's kinda they've they're kinda
introduction. They're kind of wanting to feel, like, I'm curious about the
spirituality thing, or I've had I dealt with this. I've dealt with this situation.
What kind of expert do you have on there to deal with this certain situation?
So it's been really fascinating and gotten my vote my
voice out to the world, and that's really was one thing that was

(42:30):
lacking, a couple years ago. It was really the voice speaking my
truth. I'm speaking the voice, and that's really helped a lot. Yeah. I know.
I agree with you 100%, being able to to do
my podcast and and and put my voice out there
and and share my story and have people come share their
stories. It it to me, it's been so fulfilling. Mhmm.

(42:52):
It's it's been something like, oh, man. I love this. I I love being able
so that's why once since I've been down for the last couple of weeks recovering
from surgery, it is I it's been like, but
being able to come back now and and start doing
it again and and start creating content, it's like, oh,

(43:12):
man. I I know why I love this because it it's
so so fulfilling to me to be able to to have these
conversations. And then when I release them, then people get get something
from it. It it it to me, there's no other greater
feeling. Yeah. There is. And it's
content that's gonna be out there Mhmm. For others, and it's

(43:34):
worldwide, and it doesn't it's not limited. Yeah.
Yeah. What what advice would you give someone who
is skeptical about the power of intuitive healing?
Yeah. That was me. Six, five, five six, seven years ago. I
mean, like, what are you talking about, this woo woo mouse? I say
to come with an open mind and

(43:57):
to give it a try. So by two, there's multiple ways of
intuitive healing. The intuitive healing I do is a mixture
of energy healing, some breath work in there,
calling spirits and guides, and just allow it to flow. So it's a little kind
of breaky, but a little on steroids, I guess you would say.

(44:17):
So I would say to you really find that the connect what you connect with.
Some people connect with people who read cards or some
people connect with you know, they can have a really deep spiritual
connection, intuitive connection through meditation. So people just wanna stick with breath
work. So really find whatever modality it is that starts to cut to
heal. Because we have so many so many things we wanna Band Aid

(44:39):
over over it. We wanted, you know, take a Tylenol
or something for a headache or an Advil for a headache instead of going in,
and maybe we need to meditate through it. Maybe we can listen to certain bio
beats. Maybe we can figure out what is causing the headache, what stress is causing,
and eliminate the stress. To me, that's more into that's also intuitive
healing. So it doesn't have to be energy work. It could be all kinds of

(45:01):
multiple things. So whatever people are comfortable with, I say, to to give it a
try and to see. Because the powers the power of it is actually in
the believing. If you don't believe it's gonna happen, it's gonna work, it's not going
to because you're blocking those energetic channels Mhmm. Of healing to be able to come
in. And so that's I I won't work on people who's who are very
skeptical about it because I know it's not gonna work Yeah.

(45:22):
For them. Oh, yeah. You have to have the belief. Definitely have to have the
belief. How do you envision the future of holistic
wellness and personal empowerment, and what role do you see it
see for intuition in in that future? Yeah. I think
we're as we're waking up, we have such a huge
huge, huge awakening coming through people wanting to connect to the spiritual power.

(45:44):
They're coming in. I think I personally believe that everyone that's on this planet
now chose to be here and that we have a purpose. Now people are waking
up to that purpose. People are waking up to to their the gifts that they
have. They're waking up to the ways that we have so many different systems in
place that are not beneficial for us. Not gonna name the systems,
but they're starting to to be called out and they're starting to crumble down.

(46:07):
And so I think intuitively intuitive people are gonna we're gonna have to
rely on a lot of that because we're seeing mixed information. I mean, we see
it in The United States with all types of different, you know,
political or site what site all the stuff coming in. It's like you get most
of all these things. We have to go back intuitively. We're gonna so what we're
gonna have to start trusting is our intuition because we can't trust other

(46:28):
people's. People have opinions for here and opinions for that, opinions for that.
And then people make all kinds of crap up. Yeah. Coming into
it because and then they start to believe it. And so we have to
really get back intuitively to what what is correct and feels right for
us personally. Because what feels right for me is not gonna be what feels right
for you. Because your mission is different than my mission. Your purpose is different than

(46:50):
my purpose. Mhmm. Even if we have similar purposes, it's still different people that
we're supposed to be reaching. In order to do that, we have to come back
intuitively. And I don't mean you people have to start calling on their spirit guides
and have, you know, have to be performing miracles, you know,
whatever they wanna call. You don't have to go too woo on it, but start
really trusting yourself and start trusting your your abilities to make

(47:11):
decisions based upon how you feel
instead of what other people are telling you. Definitely.
Definitely. Alicia, this has been such a great
conversation. I I've had such a wonderful time speaking to you. But we've
come to the point of the show where you get the solo screen and you
get to plug away, let people know where they can find you, where they can

(47:31):
check you out, and and everything.
Hi. So the best way to reach me is from my website at alicia
faracelli dot com. So first name, last name, dot com. If

things to walk away with, during this free call. And then if you wanna work
with me ongoing basis, we'll talk about what that looks like. Also have a free
inner child workshop on my website. If you go to the very

feel great. This has been a great conversation. I needed this for my
for me personally because after surgery and everything, I've

I started this podcast 5 years ago to invite you into conversations and workshops that are designed to help make you happier, healthier and more healed. I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
