My incredible friends of 16+ years are my chosen family and have been with me through some of the hardest parts of my life.

Many people with BPD struggle with maintaining friendships and I hope this episode provides some insights into what supportive friendships look like, the work that goes into maintaining them, and gives you some good laughs to start off the season.

In this episode my friends ask me questions like:

  • You’re really good at making friends, how do you do it?
  • What do you do when all of your friends are really stubborn? (Not really a question but we rant about it for a while lol)
  • What kind of advice would you give to someone trying to support someone else going through a suicide crisis?
  • Is there something you feel like is a challenge or a struggle in your friendships?
  • What do you think is the best thing about having borderline personality disorder is?
  • What is the most helpful thing you've learned in your journey to thriving or surviving?
  • What is one piece of advice you'd have for your younger self?
  • What do you think you'd be doing now if you didn't go down this career path?

This episode was recorded more than 7 months ago so keep that in mind when you listen. If you want a refresher of the episodes they reference about Aaron you can find them here:

The Male Room with Dr. Jesse Mills

The Male Room with Dr. Jesse Mills

As Director of The Men’s Clinic at UCLA, Dr. Jesse Mills has spent his career helping men understand their bodies, their hormones, and their health. Now he’s bringing that expertise to The Male Room — a podcast where data-driven medicine meets common sense. Each episode separates fact from hype, science from snake oil, and gives men the tools to live longer, stronger, and happier lives. With candor, humor, and real-world experience from the exam room and the operating room, Dr. Mills breaks down the latest health headlines, dissects trends, and explains what actually works — and what doesn’t. Smart, straightforward, and entertaining, The Male Room is the show that helps men take charge of their health without the jargon.
