Tom fell in love with computers and set up a software company while studying for a PhD in Plant Science in 1991. He has since worked for a number of companies at Global VP/CTO level. He recently left SAP after having been recruited in there in 2016 at Global VP level, where he worked as a Futurist, and Innovation Evangelist. Prior to that, he completed an almost eight year stint leading GreenMonk, the cleantech, energy and, sustainability practice of industry analyst firm RedMonk.
