**Jackson Upperco’s BIO**
Jackson Upperco, author of “Great American Sitcoms of the 1950s,” is a historian, critic, and connoisseur of vintage entertainment, especially American television sitcoms. He is a graduate of Boston University’s Film & Television program with a subsequent Master's degree in Writing for Screen & Television from the University of Southern California. At age 12, Jackson had a Gilligan’s Island-themed birthday party and made his friends act out an episode (“Goodbye Island” from Season One); he played Mr. Howell. Prior to the event, he wrote to Sherwood Schwartz asking for scripts from the unproduced fourth season, receiving autographed photos of the cast instead — one of those currently hangs in Jackson’s L.A. apartment.
