If you’ve ever felt invisible—at home, at work, or even in church—this conversation meets you right where it hurts and refuses to leave you there. We open the door on loneliness, depression, and the pressure to perform, then point to a steadier center: the God who sees, defends, and stays. With Dr. Lydia Michelle Young and Intercessor J’eanine Nichole, we name how hidden expectations crush women, how “man up” myths silence men, and how ministry can wound when applause becomes the measure of worth.

We talk candidly about how feeling unseen can spiral into isolation, affairs, or addiction, and why those are counterfeit comforts that never heal the root ache. Instead, we reframe value through the names of God—El Roi, the God who sees; Jehovah Shammah, the Lord who is there; Emmanuel, God with us—and let those truths carry weight in the secret places where pain has no words. You’ll hear a path forward that is honest and practical: take the truth of your reality to the throne of grace, get your eyes off people, and fix your gaze on the One who never looks away. Not every wound comes from God, but none of it is beyond his use; even harsh seasons can be repurposed into strength, compassion, and clarity of calling.

By the end, you’ll be invited to lift your head, remember your identity as chosen and set apart, and step back into life with a quieter heart and a stronger spine. Your life matters, your story carries purpose, and your pain is not the period at the end of the sentence. Listen, share with someone who needs to feel seen today, and if this message encouraged you, subscribe, leave a review, and tell us where you’ve found hope lately.

SPEAKER_00 (00:02):
Are you feeling undervalued?
Unappreciated, unnoticed,unseen.
Uh we are here to encourage youthat Elroy, he is the God who
sees you.
In fact, uh, he sees yourwounds, he sees your worries.

(00:26):
We want to talk a little bitabout that today.
Um, and maybe tie in um, youknow, maybe some of the most
critical things that affectwomen, some of the most critical
uh issues or pains that affectmen, and tie in together how
Elroy is the God who sees you asa man.

(00:49):
God is the God who sees you as awoman, uh, to encourage you
today that he is uh a constantcare.
Uh he's watching over you toprotect you, to lead you, to
guide you, to comfort you.
And that's what we want to sharea little bit with you on today.
I am your host, Dr.
Lydia Michelle Young, here withmy co-host, intercessor Janine

(01:12):
Nicole.
This is Wednesday, middle of theweek.
Wednesday, middle of the week,uh Sweet Fire the Podcast,
Refreshing Fire, and we aregrateful for another opportunity
uh to be used by the Lord toshare what it is that God wants
his people to hear.

(01:32):
Intercessor.
How are you?
I'm doing good.
Good evening, uh, people of God.
Uh El Lord, God who sees me.
And it is in the most difficultof times, uh, Doctor.
I know you can relate to this, and many of us uh tuning in this

(01:53):
evening, we have this testimony.
You know, in the mostdevastating of times, we don't
realize that God sees us, thatGod is watching over us.
He sees that pain, he sees thathurt, he sees the magnitude, the
weight, the effects, you know, that that devastating moment um

(02:17):
has caused in our lives.
You know, it's at those mostdifficult times in life that we
don't realize air war.
He sees us, he sees us in thosemoments.
And because we don't realize it,you know, that God sees us even
at those very moments, we are weoftentimes turned elsewhere

(02:41):
because we don't understand thatGod sees us even at that moment,
at that time.
So I thank God for once againanother uh prophetic uh episode
to where the Lord is truly goingto minister to his people, bless
his people, and encourage hispeople that God sees you.

(03:03):
God sees you.
You are not alone, and manypeople uh feel alone.
It's easy to feel alone.
I remember years coming up uh inthe depression that I
experienced and the suicidalideations and the pain and the
agony and uh words that I wouldutter out of my mouth were

(03:23):
saying, nobody loves me.
Right.
No, why does everybody you knowtreat me the way why me?
Nobody loves me.
I didn't feel I had the support,I didn't feel that I was
connected, I didn't have aconnection, I didn't have uh,
you know, I had an expectation, but it wasn't being satisfied,

(03:44):
it wasn't being met.
I just wanted to be loved.
And I felt that I loved and Iserved loved, I gave love, but I
didn't get the same in return.
So I felt undervalued.
I felt uh that I wasunappreciated, I felt that I was
unseen, I felt alone.
And then many go into isolation, and we want to really cancel uh
the spirit and the curse, uh,the detriment of feeling

(04:08):
isolated, feeling like you areby yourself and that nobody
cares, or nobody is with you, ornobody's supporting you, or no
one has your back.
If no one does, God does.
He's more for you than the wholewide world is against you.
And so many people do feel, evenin ministry, undervalued,
unseen, even in the home, unseen, unseen in the home, uh

(04:34):
with even with women, and and wecould talk about this a little
bit with women.
What is the expectation?
Oh, she's to take care of thechildren, she's to cook the
meals, she's the you know, thisis the house.
She has to maintain and managethe household.
You and if that is not being metor satisfied by that individual,

(04:58):
or you know, that's just howsociety is today.
Oh, that that's the woman'sresponsibility.
And then what about men?
You know, some of them run, alot of them are missing.
A lot of them feel like theyhave to be strong or show that
that's strong, and you know, they give words like if they
show any weakness, you need toman up, you need you need to

(05:18):
toughen up, feeling unnoticedand feeling unseen.
So it happens on both ends ofthe spectrum, men and women,
where we feel like uh, you know, there's the potential to feel
like you're not worthy, you'reunworthy.
It happened to me growing upwhere I just felt like I was all
by myself.
Can you address that at all, intercessor?

(05:40):
Amen.
Yeah, yeah.
Um, I definitely appreciate you,you know, sharing that because a
lot of us, you know, can relateto that same, you know, it's not
necessarily the same experience, but the same emotions, the same
thought process, you know, thatuh uh we dealt with growing up
and throughout life, you know,uh being in those relationships,

(06:02):
feeling uh unappreciated, serving in ministries, feeling,
you know, unappreciated, undervalued, you know, um, not
in it to get, you know, therecognition, but hey, you know,
just to hear a thank you, I seeyou.
Thank you for being a blessing, you know, uh, didn't receive
that.
So, you know, and then a lot oftimes too, that's uh where

(06:25):
cheating comes in inrelationships.
Women feeling undervalued,underappre underappreciated, you
know, in the home.
The man, the same thing, feelingthose same experiences, and as a
result, stepping out on thatwife, that wife stepping out on
that husband.
Uh many people turn to alcohol, turn to drugs, you know, because

(06:46):
of feeling as if nobody seesthem, nobody cares about their
experiences and what they havegone through in life.
And we are here on this eveningto cancel the plans and the
attacks and the method and theschemes and the deception of the
enemy, to let you know thatsomebody does see you, even if

(07:09):
you are in a room full ofpeople, you know, and and nobody
in the truth of your reality isnobody in that room sees you,
nobody in that room appreciatesthe value that truly lies within
you.
We are here on this evening tosay, you know what, that may be
the truth of your reality, butthere's an addition to your

(07:30):
reality.
Elroy sees you, God sees you,the one who matters.
He sees you, he appreciates you,he sees the value in you.
So we are here on this eveningto serve the devil.
Notice your time is up.
Your time is up.
He sees you, he sees the valuein you.

(07:52):
In fact, he sees himself in you.
Amen.
What makes us valuable?
My God, God Himself, who dwells, who lives on the inside.
So here's a word to lift you, toencourage you.
My God, for those who feel likethey're not enough, that they're
not enough.
You know, we talked about um,you know, even you know, in

(08:14):
ministry, and you're sayingshe's telling the truth.
We don't serve in ministry forrecognition, we serve in
ministry uh because we love God,so we serve God, and serving God
means serving his people, anddoing it with compassion and
love, uh, and being goodstewards over what God has given

(08:34):
us.
But but uh don't bully me.
And that's the problem whypeople are feeling
unappreciable, because they'rebeing bullied in ministry,
bullied in the church.
I'm not saying in everysituation, but it happens, it
happens so much, and it's beengoing on for ye for centuries,
where people are actuallyfeeling bullied.

(08:56):
They're there to serve, they'rethere to to worship and and and
give unto God, you know, and andto receive from God, right?
But in the midst of giving andreceiving from God, then here
comes those interferences andthose that trouble, you know,
where the people are beingbullied or they're being treated

(09:18):
uh mishandled, mishandling God'speople, touching the anointed of
God.
Um, and so people are feelingunseen.
But we don't serve man, we serveGod.
And again, as intercessor uhsaid so eloquently, um that
Elroy, the God who sees us, seesyou, his eyes are on you, his

(09:42):
eyes are on you.
Man may not value us, but Goddoes, and so knowing that God
values us, my God, when we lookat Elroy, he's the God who sees
us.
When we look at Jehovah Shammah,he's the Lord who's there, he's
there, he's present, he's everpresent.
My God, when we look at uhJehovah Shammah is what I he's

(10:06):
the God who's there, excuse me.
Jehovah Shamma, he's the Godwho's there.
Emmanuel, God is with us.
He said, I'll never leave you,I'll never forsake you, Lord.
I'm with you always, my God,even until the end, even in your
darkest moment, I'm there.
Even when uh you have fallenshort of my glory, I'm there

(10:30):
because I'm faithful, you know, and knowing that you're chosen.
Man may not value, but Godvalues you.
You are chosen to God, you are amasterpiece to God, you are
precious to him.
Oh my god, and he sees in secretintercessor.
Yeah, he sees in secret, he seesuh those quiet moments, those

(10:51):
things you don't utter, thosethings you don't discuss, those
things that you hold on insidethat that you allow to build up
in you.
God sees in secret, and he'sonly stretching out his hands
today and letting you know uhthat I'm here for you, I care
for you, I'm here to comfortyou, I'm here to encourage you,
I'm here uh to lift those heavyburdens.

(11:14):
And I hear this scripture in mypassage lift up your head, oh ye
gates, and be ye lifted up, yeeverlasting doors, and the king
of glory shall come in.
My God, who's the king of glory?
He's the Lord, he's strong, he'smighty, he's the Lord who is

(11:34):
mighty in what battle.
Lift up your head, he's fightingyour battles, he'll fight for
you, he'll defend you, he'scoming to your rescue.
This is a word of rescue, myGod.
A call for you to be lifted.
Come on, intercessor.
Amen.
And God is intentional and heintentionally has you tuning in
on this evening.

(11:56):
You know, um many people don'trealize that God sees them,
right?
You know, that God is there, youknow.
Why?
Because they're so focused onthe experience, they're so
focused on the people, they'reso focused on, you know, those

(12:17):
who hurt them, they're sofocused on, you know, uh trying
to get that one's attention, trying to get those, you know,
uh uh attention, right?
And I can definitely relate tothat, you know, uh, people uh
God, it wasn't until I made upin my own mind, right, that

(12:37):
enough is enough and truly tookmy eyes off of people and truly,
you know, spent time making theLord more than enough.
It wasn't until then that I madethe conscious decision, right?
Yes, the experiences that Iexperienced were very real.

(12:58):
Yes, the emotions attached tothose experiences were very
real.
Yes, the truth of my reality wasmany, you know, were used uh by
the enemy to come up against me,to try to take me out, to try to
destroy my faith, to try to keepme permanently separated from
God.
Yet, those though, you know, those were the truth of my

(13:20):
experiences.
I had to make a consciousdecision to make the Lord more
than enough.
How did I do that?
I did that by bringing the truthof my reality, the truth of all
of those emotions, taking themto the throne of grace and
laying them down at his feet andgetting my eyes off of the

(13:43):
people, getting my eyes even offof myself, and placing my eyes
solely on the Lord.
That is when, you know, Irealize that God is more than
enough.
Yes, he is.

(14:06):
Amen.
But one thing I am, you know, uhconfident this day, Doctor, is
that regardless of what life maybring my way, God is more than
enough for me.
He is truly more than enough.
We have to want to make God morethan enough, and we do that when

(14:31):
we get our eyes off of thepeople.
See, the devil, the trick of theenemy is to keep us, you know,
to keep our eyes off of God.
Because when he's successful inbeing able to keep our eyes off
of God, we don't realize thatGod is there, and we magnify the

(14:51):
situation, we magnify theexperience, and that's what the
enemy wants.
He wants us to magnify the wrongthings.
God is truly more than enough.
God is truly more than enough.
God is there, God sees you, Godis with us.

(15:14):
So, again, be encouraged.
And I and something you said andit sparked a thought.
He's the God who sees us.
And you said about getting youreyes on God, taking your eyes
off people.
God sees you, and God wants youto see him.
Amen.
He wants you to see him there,he wants you to see him present.
He wants you to see him uh verypresent in your situation.

(15:38):
He wants you to see that whatyou're experiencing, in fact,
does come from God.
And God wants us to what?
Trust him and rely on him andknow that he is doing what he
pleases, both to will and to doof his good pleasure.
Because my God, all things worktogether for the good of them
who love God, for them who arethe call according to his

(16:00):
purpose.
So, whatever your struggle, whatever your difficulty, man,
woman, even young people, whatever your struggle is,
wherever you're having a hardtime, you may be at a lowest
point.
Know that God is there.
And all things again, all thingsthat you're dealing with, all
that you go through, whetherit's high or low, good or bad,

(16:22):
bright or dark, no matter whatit is, they all work together
for your good because you loveGod and you are the call.
And God has a purpose in yourexperience.
God has a purpose in yourexperience.
Yes, they're deeply uh emotionalum life experiences, human
experience, human experiences.

(16:43):
Excuse me, but God is in it.
God is there, his hand is onyou, his hand is on your life,
his eyes are upon you.
Anything else, intercessor?
Yes, before we close, I justwant you know to minister to
that one on this evening.
Your life does matter.
Your life truly does matter.

(17:05):
I'm gonna say it again becauseyou need to hear it.
Your life does matter.
Again, we are here on thisevening to cancel the plan, the
attacks of the enemy to try toget you to take your life, to
try to get you to give up onlife, to try to get you to give
up on God.
Your life does matter.

(17:27):
Allow the experiences that youhave been through in life.
Yes, those painful experiences, those devastating experiences,
allow them to shape and mold youinto who God has called,
predestined, and ordained you tobe.
You are a part of a chosengeneration, a royal priesthood,

(17:50):
a holy nation, a peculiar peopleset apart for God.
Let those experiences shape youso that God can use you to help
somebody else who is where Godis delivering you from.
God bless you.
God bless you.
Let go and let God peace be toyou, peace be to your house, and

(18:14):
peace be to all you.
