SPEAKER_00 (00:02):
Isn't it amazing?
Interesting how most peoplebelieve they know who they are.
They believe they know who theyare.
Um, and then if we were to askmost people, many people, who
they are or what they're calledto do, what the purpose is in
(00:26):
life.
Uh, I'm a witness to this.
Many people say, I don't know.
I'm not sure.
Um, I don't know yet.
We're gonna take a few momentsuh in this particular episode um
to help someone uncover andrediscover who you are.
We're here today to help you touncover and rediscover who you
(00:51):
are, and for you to alsounderstand that purpose is a
journey.
It's a journey, it's somethingthat God called you to
specifically.
I am your host, Dr.
Lydia Michelle Young, here withmy co-host, Intercessor Janine
Nicole.
Today is Wednesday, middle ofthe week, refreshing fire.

I also bear witness um to thatbeing at conversations, you
know, with different ones atdifferent points in my life.
(01:34):
And whenever I've used the wordpurpose or I'm seeking, I'm
going, you know, after mypurpose, I'm looking to fulfill
my purpose.
You know, you have some whothey're like, oh, okay, yeah,
purpose, purpose.
But then you have others that'slike, what do you mean behind
that?
You know, what what what isthat?
What does that mean?
So definitely looking forward touh to this uh to this episode,
(01:57):
and even um, if you will, beforewe even jump into it, just put
the announcement out there thatSweet Fire the Podcast is

of you who are out theresupporting Sweetfire the
podcast.
Yes, we absolutely do appreciateyou.
Uh we are here uh to be ablessing to to give you, to
provide to you, uh, those of youwho listen, to provide an
(03:04):
answer, to provide a remedy, toprovide uh the resources, to
provide a word that's going tocarry you, a word that will
shape you and help you to formand direct you so that you can
see clearly, hear clearly, andthat you can move and navigate
in this life.
Um, that you can fulfilldestiny, that you can reach the
(03:26):
places and the points that areset before you that God intends
for you, uh, that point for thatGod intends for you to make.
And so we're just we we aregreatly appreciative uh to each
of you.
And um, yeah, so about yourpurpose, right?
About your purpose, yourpurpose, uh, just to get some
(03:50):
clarity on what purpose is.
Purpose for for you individuallyis your passion.
What are you passionate about?
What where are your strengths?
What do you do naturally if youdo it very well?
Uh, what energizes you?
Um, what what uh makes you feelmost alive?
(04:11):
Um, what drives you, motivatesyou, inspires you?
We're talking about yourpurpose, and when we have a
burning inside, understand thatthat burning comes from the one
who created you.
He's the one that puts the firein us.
Oh my goodness, the fire in us,the fire on us to do uh what it
(04:32):
is that he has called us to.
Come on, intercessor, jump in onthat.
I'm glad you brought that outtoo.
The burning, that burningsensation on the inside.
It just drives you.
You know, it uh it is is itcomes natural to you.
It's not something that you haveto work at.
You're naturally, you know, goodin that area.
(04:53):
You know, others may have toread uh an instruction manual, a
guideline, but for you, it justcomes natural.
For you who, you know, you're inthat kitchen, you're cooking,
right?
You don't have to look at, youknow, uh uh how many tape uh
tablespoons or teaspoons ofsalt.
You don't have to look at thosethings, it just comes naturally
to you.
You see that dish, you see that, okay, this is the dish I gotta
(05:14):
prepare, and you just naturallyknow how much you know salt to
add, how much pepper to add.
It comes natural to you.
So your purpose, again, yourpurpose is something, you know,
it is just a passion that justburns within.
It keeps you awake.
You know, your mind stays on it.
And again, it's a natural act,it's not something you have to
(05:36):
work at.
We go to work, right?
We go to work, key word work, and we have to, you know, learn
the rules, the regulations, andwe have to learn and study, you
know, that job there so we canmaster that specific role that
we've been hired for, right?
You know, this is different fromthat.
(05:57):
Your purpose is that creativework, that creativity, you know,
that God breathed into you whenhe gave you life, and when he
breathed that purpose into you,he breathed that skill set.
That's why it becomes so naturalfor you.
That's it.
Absolutely.
Yeah, and you brought out adynamic point where when you are
(06:21):
hired uh for a job or adifferent position, whatever
that position may be, you you'rehired for that position.
You're hired uh to work someoneelse's vision.
Right.
Uh you're hired to work someoneelse's vision where they really
conduct your life.
They tell you when to wake up,they uh tell you when to clock
(06:42):
in, they tell you when to take abreak, how long to take lunch,
when to clock out.
Uh they call you in on your daysoff.
Uh when you really might want totake some time and maybe work on
your book or draw that picture, that that portrait, or you know,
work on your music, those thingsthat that burn inside of you.
And and not to say that work isgood.
(07:03):
We are to work, we are to work, but don't forget about the
vision, the purpose that Godplaced in you.
Oh my god, don't forget aboutthe purpose that God placed in
you.
And and here he goes again.
Here he goes again.
My mantra, never give more timeto someone else's vision than
(07:23):
you're willing to give to thevision God has given you.
So when we look at purpose, um,it is to be pursued.
Your your passions, the thingthat burns inside of you is to
be pursued, is to be lived out,is to be exercised, it's to be
uh to benefit others, to solveproblems.
(07:45):
The world needs the gifts youbring.
Can I say that one more time?
The world needs the gifts youbring.
Come on, man.
That's good.
Yeah, and uh, I like it.
It was a word that you used uhopening up the uh the broadcast
this evening.
Journey.
(08:06):
Journey, you know, our purpose,it it is a journey, though it
comes natural to us, right?
It's a natural skill set, it'snot something that we have to
work at.
However, we have to master it.
We have to get the mind of Godfor it, you know, because
getting the mind of God for it,you know, we stay aligned with
(08:27):
his divine timing, right?
And and he will help us masterthat thing because it it's
something that we have to masterbecause the purpose, the your
purpose, you know, um is in you.
God has placed it in you becausethere's fulfillment, right?
There's something that he wantsto use your purpose to fulfill.
(08:50):
You know, there's there'sthere's certain people that he
wants, he wants your purpose tobless those people, he wants
your purpose to bring light, life to those lives, right?
So it is all it's going to be ajourney.
And with it, with that beingsaid, you know, that it's going
to be a journey.
We have to work at it.
(09:12):
We have to work, we have tospend and invest time with our
purpose.
We have to nurture our purpose,we have to nourish our purpose
so that our purpose grows up,right?
And our purpose is fulfilled, our purpose uh sprouts forth,
our purpose produces thatharvest.
We have to work at our purpose.
(09:33):
It is, in fact, a journey, right?
And so that it gives birth towhat we've been called to,
right?
So that it gives birth, he saidproduces, yes, absolutely.
It produces, oh my god, thosethings that God placed in you,
my Lord, uh, that He wantsdisplayed in the world to be a
(09:56):
blessing to other people.
So you were created for apurpose, there's intention.
Um, you were uh definitelycreated, made, formed, shaped
with intention.
God was intentionally, uh, hewhen he designed you, he had
(10:18):
intention in mind.
He's an intentional God.
He says, even in Jeremiah 29:11,he said, I know the thoughts
that I have toward you, I knowthe thoughts, I know the plans
that I have for your life, Iknow the purpose in which I've
created you for plans of good, not of evil, to give you a
future and a hope.
(10:39):
When we look at Proverbs 16 and9, he says, The heart of the man
plans, the heart of a man planshis way, the heart of a man, the
heart of a man.
So it's important for us to dowhat?
Have the heart of God because itsays the heart of a man's plan
his way, the heart of a manplans his way, but the Lord
(11:00):
establishes his steps.
So, as you said, it's a journey,as we're saying today, it's a
journey, it's taking thosesteps, being led.
The steps of a good person areordered, are directed by who?
The Lord, the one who createdthe create creator of heaven and
earth.
So, first God calls us to him,he calls us to him first, and
(11:21):
then he calls us to purpose.
Come on, right, amen.
Then he calls us to purpose, amen.
And unfortunately, there arejust so many people who spend,
you know, their day, you know, waking up, going to work,
clocking in, right?
It's their daily agenda, it'stheir daily activity.
(11:41):
You know, that job is a priorityfor them because that job brings
forth that income needed tosustain and keep life.
So again, we're not saying that, you know, um, quit your job.
No, no, no.
Get the mind of God, right?
If he's calling you out of themarketplace, then you know,
you'll be uh brought out of thatmarketplace.
(12:03):
What we're saying is just as youknow, you spend time uh uh going
to work, you spend time doingwhat you have been hired to do,
which you should do, even moretime.
Some time needs to be set asideto work on your purpose, you
know, so you can master thatthing because there's many
(12:23):
entrepreneurs.
There are many entrepreneurs, many entrepreneurs are going,
you know, and spending time withanother man's vision, faithfully
fulfilling that other man'svision.
Meanwhile, you have been calledto entrepreneurship.
That purpose, God wants to usethat purpose to bring you out of
the marketplace.
God wants to use your purposefor you to build business, God
(12:46):
wants to use your purpose foryou to hire you some employees.
God wants to use your purpose sothat you can get you some
employees to work what yourvision.
There's many entrepreneurs whoare spending a lot of time on
somebody else's vision, butmeanwhile, that fire that burns
within you, that skill set thatcomes so very natural for you,
(13:10):
is your purpose that God wantsyou to spend more time with,
even if that means you knowyou're just getting a couple of
hours rest here or there.
So what rest will come?
What's more important to you?
Your rest or fulfilling yourpurpose?
Good question.
What's more important?
What do you value?
(13:33):
What do you value?
What are your values?
What's important to you?
What's necessary?
Um, and so you know, I reallyappreciate uh this episode.
Um and again, your purpose andyour gifting, your gifting, your
grace gifts, uh, what you'reactually an expert at.
Um like she said, likeintercessor said, it's not
(13:56):
something that you necessarilyhave to study.
But if we spend time with whathe put in us, if we caress it
and nurture it as you have asyou've stated, intercessor, then
God perfects it, right?
He will establish your steps.
Oh my God, he's giving you.
Oh, so this thing has been on mymind lately about hands and what
(14:18):
our hands uh have the ability todo, what God really made our
hands for, and I can't reallytap into it too much, but saving
that for Sunday morning flame, but take a moment and look at
your hands.
They're much more than what manis saying, you know, that you're
you're called to do.
(14:39):
Don't let a man, a person, ahuman dictate your life.
You have purpose, and my lord, Ijust say fulfill it.
I say fulfill it.
You have all that potential inyou.
Deposit it.
Deposit it.
I've said this before.
One of the worst things that wecan do is not fulfill the
(15:01):
purpose and the potential that'swithin us, even as a seed,
before you became a fetus, ababy.
Uh, you're you're you're full ofpurpose, you're your your power
and influence and skill andgifting.
Use what God has given you.
Give him glory in what he'sgiven you.
(15:24):
My God, how do we do that?
We exercise it, we pursue it, wedo it, and you know, and just
doing it, that's being inobedience.
So, of course, he's gonna blessthe work of your hands, right?
And that's all I have for today.
That's all I have.
You have something as we close.
Uh, yeah, I do as we close.
Um uh definitely uh uh Lord, bring it back to me.
(15:47):
He was as you were speaking, yeah, gave it to me.
It just so many people aresitting on, you know, your thank
you, Holy Ghost.
So many people are sitting onyour purpose, right?
And stop making the excuses.
I heard that so clearly.
Stop making the excuses.
I'm gonna say it one last timebecause again, I heard it very
(16:09):
clearly.
Stop making excuses.
Making excuses.
The finances may not be thereright now, and you may not have
a lot of time according to yourmind in the day to work on your
purpose.
Create some time, make sometime, set some time aside, take
some time, take some time, turnoff the TV, you know, create you
(16:33):
a creative space, even if it'sin your in your closet, you got
a house full of kids, you know, you got a husband, whatever the
case may be, create you somespace.
Go in your closet, put a littlechair down, get a little desk
table, pull out, you know, ajournal, a notebook, get pen in
hand, start writing your vision, create you some time, create you
that creative space.
(16:54):
Stop making the excuses.
You know, you may have you knowsome pain in your body daily,
whatever the case may be, butyou're yet you're able to put a
remote in the hand and turn onthe TV.
You're able to get out of bedand walk to the kitchen and fix
you something to eat, right?
We have to get to the point inlife, people of God, that we
(17:15):
become so passionate about whatGod has called us to be, about
our purpose, that our number onepriority is to fulfill and
please Him.
Because, like Doctor said, theworst thing we can do is be a
people found standing before theLord, full of that potential
(17:37):
that He entrusted us to fulfillhere.
That's it.
Thank you, thank you for that.
Uh so you were created for apurpose, pursue your purpose,
God has your back.
Heaven has your back.
Peace be to you, peace be toyour house, and peace be to all
(18:01):
you have.
