Speaker 1 (00:00):
I need ten or fifteen skirts from Calvin Klein. Sometimes
I would buy bog instead of dinner. I just felt
it said any more, This is Taylor Talk. Who's your host,
Sammy Rose? Hello? Everyone, Thank you so much for tuning
in to another episode of the Tailored Talk podcast. This
episode is all about the items you are going to
be wearing this winter. So coming in at number one

(00:24):
leather maxie skirts, no surprise considering the denim skirts. Denim
maxie skirts have gone gangbusters the last few months. I
feel it the last year probably, but also the mob
wife trend. You know, you're thinking lots of leather, leopard prints,
animal prints, red red shoes, red leapy, a bit of everything.

(00:45):
But I love leather just in general, faux leather obviously.
I think it always makes you look sleek. It's fuss free.
It doesn't matter if I spiel something on it, which
happens a lot, you know, so if I'm having a
cup of tea, I just need to give it a
little bit of a wipe. And I also feel like
leather makes any outfit look far more expensive than it is,

(01:06):
and it's warm on. So leather maxi skirts. I've looked
on the Iconic. There's a few there at an affordable price,
around one hundred dollars price point. They've got black brown shades.
You compare them with knitwear and matching tones, and that
will help you create the perfect monochromatic outfit. And I
also feel like they're the kind of thing that you
could wear on the weekend, you know, with sneakers and

(01:29):
a nice top, whether it's like your denim jacket or shacket,
something a little bit more like sturdy, I guess for winter,
especially if you're on camera and you're listening from the
nation's capital, but also for work as well, with your
cute court heels and a blazer, it would just look
really really lovely. Next up, going to the top half

(01:49):
of the body, bomber jackets. And when I say bomber jackets,
like a modern day bomber jacket, not necessarily the ones
that we got in school, you know, they had our
names on the back and the athlete would wear. I'm
thinking like oversized, more of a shacket shape, and there's
so many lovely ones in different fabrics and silhouettes, and
they can also I feel like the different textures the

(02:10):
materials that they're using at the moment feminize traditionally masculine piece.
Target I've seen have done some really really cute ones
in some really nice neutrals. Speaking of the iconic again
that brand Atmos end here that's Atmos and here do
some really lovely ones as well. Next up on my list,

(02:33):
something that I think will all be going for and
I definitely need to update in my wardrobe is a scarf.
But not just any scarf, go for a big, chunky one,
an oversized scarf. I was in Kmart the other day
and if you are on a budget like me, cozy
libs guys, I get it. Kmart had some of the
cut scarves I've seen in a little while, Big, super chunky,

(02:57):
great colors, great patterns. There was Gingham with like soft pinks, yellows,
and when I say yellow, obviously like bright you know
school yellow, like like a buttery, soft feminine yellow, which
I really loved. There was a hound's tooth one and
it can just you know, jazz up any outfit. Also,
it keeps your neck warm. I love scarves, okay. Next

(03:19):
up is a knee high boot. So obviously you can
have a flat knee high boot or a healed knee
high boot, lots of different options, black, brown, cream. I
have a few pairs, so I'm actually currently wearing as
I'm speaking into the microphone, I'm wearing a black knee
high Swede boot from Kmart. These cost me around twenty

(03:41):
five bucks a couple of seasons ago, but I know
they are popular. They do a similar kind of take
on the same design each year, so keep an eye
out for them, big w I have a few pairs
of boots from there. If you are on a budget,
they are great. There is a brand called Vibe Jasper.
You can get some nice knee high black boots for
around seventy bucks and that's Vibe spelt with the y

(04:03):
so VYB and last spasically not least. And this might
be an obvious one, but dark washed denim. I feel
like we all for a while there loved lighter jeans,
especially when we are having rips in our jeans and
a bit of distressed denim. Dark washed denim and winter
they're just a match made in heaven. I feel like

(04:26):
darker denim for me signifies that it is the colder months.
I wear my lighter denim during summer, and it also
suits the more moodier color palettes that we tend to
wear in winter, so pairrot anything. So some of you
nice darker knits with a sleek, dark washed denim and
it just really puts the whole look together. I have

(04:47):
seen lately Dish do some really really beautiful jeans that's
di I double sh but also as well Target. I
have a few when I say, a couple of pairs
of why they Gen's from Target around fifty bucks. They
don't break the bank and super super comfortable if you

(05:07):
are on a bit of a higher budget around two
hundred bucks. The Henny, the brand by Nadia Battel in
Melbourne's Australian made HNE. I have heard their Valencia gene
is stunning. I've seen it in person and I have
approached someone and said, oh, you know where your Geen's from.

(05:28):
There so beautiful, just a really great cut and you
can tell beautiful quality. So if you are in the
market for an investment pair of jeens, then I would
recommend looking into them as well. I hope these five
winter wardrobe essentials have been helpful. Have the lovely rest
of your day.
