SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
You hear that?
That hum under your chest.
That ain't your phone.
That's your memory, tuning up.
Welcome to Tailors and Tales, where we don't just tell

(00:21):
stories, we unthread thesilence.
Tales from the Woven FlameEpisode 1 The Broken Loom Before

(00:44):
the loom was broken, we werewhole.
Before the forgetting, weremembered together.
The old man sat with thread inhand, not to sew, just to hold

(01:10):
it between his thumb andforefinger, feeling its pull.
Across from him, hisgranddaughter, ten, maybe eleven
at the time, squinted up to him, like he was both a book and a

(01:33):
riddle.
Granddad, why don't we sing likethey used to?
The question hung.
Not like a balloon, but like ahook.
It didn't float, it tugged.

(01:57):
They who?
he asked.
You know, the ones before.
The ones who used to make thingsgrow just by humming over the
soil.
Mama said we used to sing theland alive.

(02:19):
He exhaled.
Slow.
Not because it was a hardquestion.
But because it was the kind thatunraveled other ones.

(02:40):
We lost those songs, baby.
But how?
She pressed.
A song don't die.
He closed his eyes.
He saw the ancient weave in hismind.
how the twelve families oncekept the loom of Guala taught

(03:08):
each house a thread each song aknot of understanding and he
remembered the sundering not ashistory as heartbreak When fear

(03:31):
came faster than faith couldfollow.
When trust was the firstcasualty.
When the loom broke, not frombattle, but from silence.

(03:55):
We forgot, he whispered.
No, the girl said, standing.
You forgot.
That hit harder than any slap.
But I didn't.
Not yet.

(04:17):
And she began to hum.
Off-key.
Awkward.
But unmistakably ancestral.
The same vibrations he used tohear beneath the hymns of his
own grandmother.
A hum that made the spoons shakein drawers.

(04:45):
That called the moths out fromthe curtains.
That made the soil in the gardenrise just a breath.
He didn't teach her that.

(05:06):
No one did.
Which meant the thread wasn'tbroken, just buried.
And now, in a girl too young tobe afraid of forgetting, the
loom sang again.
The fire remembers.

(05:33):
And so must we.
Hey, thank y'all for listening.
What part of your lineage areyou the keeper of?
Even if no one has told you.

(05:58):
If this tale found you, youweren't lost.
As you can see, you're alreadythreaded in.
Until next time, walk tuned, stay woven.
Peace.
