This summer, when the world is louder than ever about how we should look, it’s time to return to what really matters—how we feel in our bodies, and how we treat them.
In this deeply healing episode of Take Care of Your Body by Ry, our host Ry is joined by Megan: an eating disorder survivor, body neutrality advocate, and gender studies student who speaks with powerful honesty about the complexities of existing in a body—especially when it feels like the world is watching.
Together, Ry and Megan unpack what it means to live in a body during summer, a season that can be especially triggering for those in recovery. They explore the shame so many of us have carried, the silent pressures of diet culture, and the radical act of choosing gentleness anyway.
Why is this conversation so important?
Because too many of us were taught to fear our reflections instead of honor them. Because body image isn’t just about confidence—it’s about survival.
And because healing out loud helps others do the same.
About Megan:
Megan is an intersectional activist, ED survivor, and content creator who uses her platforms to promote body neutrality, self-compassion, and systemic awareness. Through her studies in sociology and gender, and her lived experience, she brings both emotional truth and cultural critique to every conversation. She is a woman who has learned to speak her story and create space for others to do the same.
If you’re feeling the pressure this summer…

If you’re tired of shrinking when you were born to be whole—
