In this episode of TFTR, I’m joined by Nick Adams — my brother in extreme metal guitars and Chesty (IYKYK). He is the founder, owner, and luthier extraordinaire of Uncle Death Guitars, based near Salt Lake City, Utah. Nick is also a graduate of the esteemed Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, Arizona (kid has big-brain energy!).
Nick and I began our journey in the latter half of 2024, when I first noticed his sick guitar builds. What impressed me immediately were the paint finishes — I was completely blown away by Nick’s dedication and the meticulous technique he brings to each build. I contacted him on Instagram right away, and so the journey of the Hellbent began.
We co-designed one extreme guitar with the riff-bearers in mind. I’m beyond excited about our finished guitar and even more stoked to see what Nick creates next.
