(00:00):
Welcome back to the Tall Tale Tavern, your source for cereal,
surreal cereal content. I am your Tavern master and
host. Kyle joining me at the bar
tonight. Living proof that a balanced
breakfast doesn't always lead tobalanced decisions.
Tal, Welcome back. Tal.
Hello. Also here.
(00:21):
He's not dead again yet. Daniel Northrop Finity.
Welcome, Dan. Hello.
Hi. It won't take long, I don't
think, no. Before he is dead again.
We'll see. Was that see?
How many times did you go down in the first episode?
2 right? Twice.
Twice. Twice.
Two. Yeah.
More than there's been comments,Dan's been down.
That's basically. You made it to two death saves.
(00:43):
That's that's as far as you can go.
Also hear something squeaky in combat, Always ready to grease
the wheels. It's tiddly.
Welcome back, tiddly. Hello.
And now, with two scoops of raisins in every roll, Scott
Esmond. Welcome back, Scott.
That's a terrible decision. My desk is covered in raisins
(01:07):
now. I don't know what I was thinking
honestly. You'll just have to snack on
them the whole time and just munch on those delicious raisins
that have how many raisins? Clouds.
So they started as grapes. Excellent.
Well, after a very dangerous start to this adventure, our
(01:28):
four favorite pirates are still alive and headed out into the
milk. And so we return to the Shanty
Shack where Robert the Mini Wheat continues his song.
Well, the captain came back withthe map to set them on a quest.
Then a Tavern brawl turned deadly and they were almost set
to rest, but they finally sleeted out of there and made it
(01:51):
to their Sloop, but not before and turned Bloody Mary to tomato
soup. Hey, have you heard of the crew
or the lady lactose? Heard of the crew or the lady
lactose? Heard of the crew or the lady
lactose? Let me tell you the story.
And thus continues Pirates of Ceramica roll the intro Arg.
(02:41):
In our last episode, The Piratesof Ceramica aboard the Lady
Lactose had found a box with a map of Ceramica on the back.
Five years later, Captain Spoonleg called the crew
together with new information that he had found that the map
belonged to Captain Berry Beard and presumably is a map to his
great horde of treasure. The box has four slots on top of
(03:02):
it, requiring 4 box tops to be placed into it.
The first has been placed by Antonia, revealing the a
location on the map marked with a big red X.
After escaping a Tavern brawl turned nearly deadly, the crew
has escaped to their ship, elected Captain Spoonlig as
captain once again, and set off into the milk as a raucous party
(03:24):
starts on this ship. And the party is ridiculous that
is happening. Pirates are passing around
bottles of milk rum, chugging it, firing off their guns, bam
bam bam bam, singing songs, playing hurdy gurdies and just
shanties all over the place. It took most of the day to get
out of the sogs, past all the waffle icebergs.
(03:45):
Basically not frozen, but just big hunks of waffle outside of
the sogs. And it is going into the evening
when everyone finally recollected to have that meeting
and the party has started off. In the corner of the deck,
however, a Pollen folk man sits covered in marshmallow goo from
(04:06):
a rare magic item that he cannotescape from for 24 hours.
General Mills, you placed him there.
What would you like to do? I guess just dutifully going
about my business. Need to get my magic item back
while everyone else is partying. Can't think of a better way to
(04:26):
dispose of him since I don't want to waste bullets because
shooting him did basically nothing when I tried to before.
I would first like to throw a net over the entire thing.
The ball and the man. Attach a rope to that net you
know by pull it tight, attach some cannonballs to that, and
(04:50):
just toss it over the edge whileeveryone's partying.
The entire time, stuck in the middle with you is playing in
the background. Yeah, yeah, I guess.
Terribly sorry about this, but unfortunately this is a sacred
relic. The only way I could think to
get it back. Can't.
Can't risk you, you know, running off with it or attacking
me when I release you. I'll have you know if you kill
(05:12):
me, you'll be killing an officerof the Honey Nut Trading
Company. You will invoke the full wrath
of the Queen as well as many of our trade allies.
The Hive will not rest until youare properly punished.
Oh no, I've never been wanted for a crime before.
(05:34):
I'm not. I'm not intimidated by his
threat. I can tell you.
About Mike Smith SO. What you're going to do?
Make me walk the plank then. No, well, can't risk letting you
go. Can't let risk letting you walk.
Of course, be folk like you might fly right off.
He scowls at you. Are you doing this alone?
(05:56):
Have you recruited anybody to help you with this?
Are you trying to sneak off and just kind of take care of, take
care of the rubbish your own? I think knowing that Ed is the
most willing to murder people, Iwould probably have asked Ed for
help with this. I'm just up to him.
It is just kind of me or not. And it's just kind of in the
(06:17):
corner, like standing far away because he knows what bees do.
And he's just like he's, he's sitting there just whittling.
He's like, you got this. Moral support.
You got this. Or in moral support in.
This case help me lift him over the edge.
Maybe you got this though. Well.
Thank you, All right. He seems to approve, at least.
(06:39):
Does this look like him? There you you're whittling him.
Rolling performance. Oh wait, what's?
A crafting, you're a, you're a, you're a Craftsman, right?
You have carpentry tools, so that'd be Dexterity plus your
proficiency bonus with the carpentry tools.
(07:00):
OK, OK, a Dexterity plus my my proficiency bonus.
Efficiency bonus? Yep.
OK, so that's an 18 + 3. So that's a 21.
Oh, that's a really cool little pretty.
Striking resemblance. Commodore Bezelton Absolutely
striking. That's wonderful.
Perhaps we can send it to his family to remember him by.
(07:23):
Horrible. You pirates are insufferable.
Well, he won't be suffering for long.
And then I try to cover his mouth with something, OK.
Great. So he is at this point he's
restrained. He doesn't have any of his
weapons or anything, but he doeshave a Stinger.
(07:44):
If you get close to him, he's going to you're going to invoke
kind of like an opportunity attack ish as you try to do
something like that. He's going.
To have to make a real attack 'cause I if he if it's going to
be an opportunity attack, I'm always going to take the
disengagement bonus action. So a real attack when I get
close if. You a real attack, I guess,
Yeah, I mean. Yeah, I'm willing to take the
(08:06):
risk. You.
Can only do a Stinger. Attack.
I will say wait before this happens.
I I meant to say this before because we didn't heal between
things. I wouldn't take a short rest to
heal myself before we That's fine.
Yes, go about. This.
So why don't you do your healingreal quick?
Yeah, I'd like, I'd like to do that.
(08:36):
Confirm short rest has happened and would you look at that?
I'm basically up to full health now, so 47 out of 48 I'm willing
to take the chance. Yeah, you might need.
That so as you try to cover themup, you guys know that pollen
folk, the bee people have a Stinger at that.
They only use it in desperate moments.
(08:56):
They only use it as a last option because it very well may
kill them, but it does a lot of damage.
And so this Stinger attack he makes, he has to make it with
disadvantage just by nature because it's a Stinger on his
butt. And so it's just, it's true, OK,
but he is going to roll to try and hit you.
Ed, make sure you've got one of those good coffees ready to go,
(09:18):
just in case something. Happens here.
Already brewing? That is a 19 to hit with
disadvantage. Oh.
Yeah, that's kind of hit. OK.
I will be uncanny dodging whatever amount of damage this
is. Yeah, to have the attack against
me. I actually prefer this.
(09:42):
I would really rather him die trying to sting me than have to
drown him. You know?
This is more humane. Yeah, definitely.
Humane. So as you are covering him with
the net, he whips around turns stings you into the chest and
you feel that necrotic this likenecrotic force just started to
(10:02):
take over your body. As you know with this attack he
does 10 times his hit die numberhis hit die which is 10 D 8 and
he rolled 55 damage and so you feel this necrotic energy take
you over and you are down from this.
Well, if I uncanny dodge to haveit, do I?
(10:22):
Oh yeah, that's true. So Yep, you can have it.
Good SO55 rounded so 27 damage from it.
He however, takes his full hit point maximum and he now has to
make death saving throws until they are resolved.
But you're just going to let. Him can we just.
(10:44):
Can I help? Can I help with that?
Come over here. That was our chance.
So he rolled 1 success and then he rolled a Nat 20 and so you
can see the life almost go out of him and he is unconscious at
this point but he is not fully dead as he lays there.
Oh. Good, I mean well then at this
(11:06):
point I would just pull out my freaking blunderbuss that will
do 4 damage guaranteed and blastit into him to get him back
down. Duh.
You blast him. Yeah.
And Commodore Bevan Bezelton is now smeared B on the side of the
Lady Lactose, and he is gone. Wow.
(11:28):
The end of Wednesday's bumbling at us on my right, and then I
bonus. That was a lot.
Messier than I thought it was going to be.
That's a lot messier than I thought it was going to be.
My friend, I tried to do it in ain a far less messy way, but
this was probably for the best. Yeah, I I released my magic item
and. Take back my iron bands of
(11:48):
Valario, and next time I'll makesure I know who I'm throwing it
at so it's not so hard to get itback.
Yeah, excellent. I guess we just Chuck his body
over the edge now. We don't don't need it.
Yes. What's left of it, it's mostly
like you blasted it. So it's really just like
smeared. You're going to have to get a
mop out, really. You're just scooping up viscera
(12:10):
and just. You have anyone who knows
pressure digitation on this boat, no?
I'm just out there right now. I know everyone's below deck.
But I don't know if there's anyone on the call who knows if
they know it. You're celebrating while you
Yahoo's. Yeah, I would go get.
One of you to help clean if you know man, just I.
(12:30):
Just scoop up a little bit and just Chuck it over like just
enough for like both hands. And just like that's.
The best that I can think to do.Wonderful.
That's. Great.
You guys clean it up in a reallygross way, whatever gross way
you decide. But Jimmy Long John comes up.
Hey, you guys going to join the party or what?
(12:54):
We just. Just taking care of one last bit
of business. We'll be right there.
OK, great. You guys finished it up just.
Look at him till he walks away. Yeah, you look at Jimmy Long
John. Till he walks away.
He's going to roll insight. He rolled badly on Insight.
Alright, we'll be we'll be down I guess.
(13:16):
And and you guys clean it up andjoin the party.
The party continues all night long as you guys drink to your
merriment party and sting shanties.
Whatever you pirates do, fire off guns.
You know it's it's it's an insane pirate party that lasts
(13:37):
all night. I can't believe.
This started with a murder. It ended last episode with the
murder too. Didn't.
You know. It's a reverse.
It's a reverse bookend, yeah. Exactly.
The next day arrives and the crew gets to work on the ship as
(13:57):
you start your voyage. Antonia, Sog, Milford and Ed
Captain Spoonleg brings you intothe captain's cabin and
designates officer roles to you as they were before.
General Mills as Cannoneer, Edward Espresso as Bozen,
Antonia as navigator and Saug asquartermaster.
He then spreads out a large map of Ceramica on the table and
(14:20):
sets the box map on the table aswell.
Now, young navigator, the box has shown us our first locale,
Mount Fulgerius. The mountain is the largest
volcano in the Java archipelago,at the base of which lies the
city of MO Kana, the Rostarian Venetian capital.
From our current position here, just outside of the eastern loaf
(14:42):
of the Waffle Isles, to get all the way SE of the archipelago
can take anywhere between 10 to 14 days of travel.
I'm afraid it's going to be dangerous.
You see, we may have a head start from those in the Saugs,
but by now the whole world of pirates, kings, and merchant
Lords will know that we're afterthe greatest prize the world has
ever known. The only benefit we have so far
(15:04):
is that nobody knows where we'reheaded.
Antonia, you've been an excellent navigator in the past.
I have full confidence you'll plot a grand course for us to
take to get to where we need to go.
Absolutely. I got you.
So what route do you suggest? And Antonia, if you would please
(15:24):
make a navigation check to map out this route.
Everybody's standing around helping you, so you get the roll
with advantage. And if you guys have any sort of
abilities, anything that you want to give to her to help with
this role, you can add that to this role as well.
What? What?
(15:44):
What kind of role is it that youhave to make it?
Is investigation nature or survival I believe.
So an ability to check. Yeah, it'll be your I.
Can't the ability but. It'll be your intelligence plus
your proficiency modifier. Oh, intelligence, OK.
Yeah. Oh, I can help with that.
I will cast enhance ability for intelligence roles, Antonia.
(16:07):
Cool. And you get Yeah, I do.
So you get advantage on ability checks using the using
intelligence. All right, great.
Let's and this is a. Little Bard of inspiration.
This is one of your species traits I believe.
Yes, it is. Yeah, what is what?
So what I get from Bard of Inspiration?
(16:29):
AD 8 that. On AD eight.
OK, all right, let's let's do this one.
Oh my God. Oh, I think it's going to be
good. I think it's going to be good.
All right. That is a 30 then with the
Vatican. 30 Insane. Hell yeah.
(16:49):
You look at this map and it likecomes alive in your brain.
You know, you've been studying maps your whole life.
You can see, you can see where the currents go, the winds, the
trade winds, where they're goingto pick up, where the, where the
most common islands are for pirate activity and how to, you
know, avoid those areas for the most part and are able to map
(17:11):
out a, a direction in this map, Captain Spoonleg said 10 to 14
days you've mapped it out so you'll be able to get there in
8. Let's go.
The course be. Charted.
Yeah, Yeah. The course is charted, I think.
I think we should go in this direction and like, you know,
checking the winds, you know. Crazy.
(17:35):
Well, may the maid bless our travels.
Now get out there and make sure our crew didn't get too soggy
the past five years. No offense to you, of course,
SOG. No offense taken.
Tidley, I need you to roll AD 8 for me, yeah.
OK, 3. You all walk out of the cabin's
(18:01):
quarters and see right outside on the deck a person is
sunbathing with a big Shard of glass that is acting like a
mirror. This looks like someone who at
one time they were probably a pastry of some sort, but now
they are just absolutely burnt and completely like black and
like shedding soot at this point.
(18:24):
You should get that looked at. If you could all roll a
perception or history check and General Mills, you can roll this
one with advantage. What could it mean?
Oh guys, we're going to do very well with advantage.
I got a 25. Oh nice.
I got a 20. I got.
(18:45):
An 18 OH. We did well, yeah.
Oh cool, So Tilly and Scott, you2 are able to recognize this?
As someone from your old crew named Tilly General Mills, you
recognize what's going on. You both.
You remember that Tilly is someone who was a worshipper of
(19:07):
Soul. Worshippers of Soul worship Soul
because Soul, the sun, brings life and warmth and heat to the
bowl. But Soul is all powerful and he
knows how potent he is, and so he has also created the Raisin
clouds to shield his power. And so not only does Seoul
provide light and warmth and sun, he provides raisins and the
(19:28):
Raisin clouds so that everythingdoesn't just get burnt on the in
the bowl. You have spent a lot of time
down it in Terra Tosta. And so you know that there are
some followers of soul who take it to the extremes.
And there are there's this extremist group who have moved
down to the Terra tosta area to the South to try and absorb as
(19:51):
much of just souls potent rays as possible.
And so you remember Tilly was this like pop tart person and
now she's just completely burnt. And this sect of of the of
worshippers, it's like detrimental.
To their health, they're very much viewed as extremists.
But you see her and that she hears, hears Ed like say what he
(20:14):
said to her. I forgot what you said actually.
Might want to. Get that looked at.
Oh, get that looked at. Hi.
Oh, yeah. So it's great.
Can you believe it? Soul has truly blessed us today
on our first day of travel. Not a Raisin cloud in the sky.
Praise Soul. And she raises her arms up in
the air. Good Lord Tilly, if you must do
(20:36):
this to your body, could you please do it somewhere, not
inside of everyone. You're going to mutilate
yourself. Mutilate.
No. This is our true form.
This is what Soul wants. This is what he needs.
And she's like every time she moves her arms, it's more like
dust like comes off of her. And it's just like this.
She's just like crumbling beforeyou.
Almost. I'm gonna.
(21:02):
Just everybody's just. Disgusted.
Looking at this. I don't know how it would react
if somebody was so sunburnt thatthey were like turning just
literally burned in front of me.It's.
Good to It's good to see you. See you again.
You. OK, It's good to see you as
well. Oh, and she like, she like
doesn't really treat you as she she's kind of hesitant to talk
(21:25):
to you a little bit, Antonia, because you are so cold and have
all this cold magic. It's very.
Obvious. It's very anti soul.
Yeah, but yeah, sorry about this.
And she points to all the dust. I'll, I'll get it swept up.
And she's looking up at at you Sog as the quartermaster who's
(21:45):
kind of in charge of keeping things kind of clean and set
along this ship. So I kind of like pulls on Ed
shirt. Who?
Who's that I? Think that's Tilly I think could
be wrong. Wait Tilly no.
(22:05):
Yeah. Oh, oh, no, Tilly, no.
You might want to go inside. Tilly.
We we can sweep this up. You you get, you get down in
down in the in the ship. OK, I will go instead of inside.
I'm going to go outside. I'm going to sweep the deck.
And she like goes and takes a sweeper, starts sweeping her own
(22:29):
dust as she like moves along just like continuing like
sweeping her way as she goes. At this point, you guys all kind
of split up and go. Your different direction.
Watch herself defeating Journey over here.
Circles on the deck, yeah. She's doing circles as she's.
Cleaning up her own dust pig penon our ship.
(22:54):
Ed, as bosun, you're in charge of the upkeep of the ship.
You are a Craftsman, and so you're in charge of like making
sure the ship is in good repair. And so last night, the gunfire
from the party put a bunch of holes in the sail that need to
be patched up. And so you have one of the sails
down on the deck patching it up.There's just all these bullet
(23:14):
holes just all around them or all around the ship.
From last night on a new face comes to talk to you.
It is a POTUSI woman with an eyepatch and like leather armor on
and she is new to the crew. The POTUSI are banana people.
She has this like big curved Cortana like blade at her hip
(23:35):
and she kneels down next to you.Hey, need any help patching up?
I've got some skills with the needle.
I mean, sure, if you want to, ifyou want to get the the holes
that are over by that corner, they're just a little bit
further than what I'm working onright now.
But yeah, you can go ahead and do.
So yeah, absolutely. And so she goes and starts
working on part of the sale. Go ahead and give me a you know,
(23:59):
your crafting check, which wouldbe Dexterity plus your
proficiency bonus. OK, so that is that's a 12.
That's a 15 + 3 for my Dexterity, plus three from the
proficiency. Great.
You're able to patch up your part of the sail.
(24:19):
Not too difficult as you've donethis many, many times before.
Pirates love to shoot their gunsup into the sky, but you see
over over at her, she rolled a natural 3 and she's actually
kind of struggling with kind of a fold and getting it straight.
She's kind of sewed it up, but it's just like got this big
crease in it. Oh, here, oh, hey, it's, it's
(24:41):
all right. Let me help you out here and
I'd, oh, roll again. Go ahead.
All right, there was also a natural that was a three, but I
get a + 3 to Dexterity and a + 3to and all my proficiency.
So that makes it a nice. Yeah, that makes it worse.
You. Yeah.
So you, I mean, you rolled a little bit better than her.
(25:03):
So you try to even it out and you get it just right and you
pull it and it's still got that crease in it, OK.
We'll just, we'll just put this one up higher on the on the on
the mask. Nobody will see it.
It'll be fine. Great.
Yeah, I guess so. Sorry.
Hey, there was something I wanted to ask you though.
(25:26):
OK, OK, No name. No name.
What's your name? Oh, sorry.
I'm Bonnie Ann. It's nice to meet you.
Bonnie Ann. OK, Nice to meet you too, Bonnie
Ann. Yeah, we've so we've actually
met before, long time ago you wouldn't Remember Me.
We never had to fight each other.
(25:48):
Plus there were a lot of POTUSI in the pits, but there was only
one roostari. So I guess my question is how
does a roostari end up in the waffle pits?
That's a that's a longer story than that I'm unwilling to tell
a stranger right now. No worries, yeah.
(26:15):
And that just kind of walks awayto kind of find some like quiet.
She doesn't look too disappointed that you're not
giving you any information. She's not.
You're not giving any information.
She kind of shrugs a little bit, knows that she was a little bit
brash with asking that question just out of nowhere, trying to
(26:37):
catch you on kind of off guard alittle bit.
Yeah. SOG, as quartermaster, it is
your job to make sure the ship is functioning well and the
captain's orders are being carried out.
As you're walking along the deck, you hear some commotion
and you see Kelly Spiceroy. She goes by Stick.
(26:58):
She's a young syndrome woman, a cinnamon stick person clutching
her knee on the ground. And Jimmy Long John is standing
nearby and says. Yeah, she was trying to cut a
rope and the knife slipped and she's sliced open her leg.
And she says, yeah, yeah, sorry, folks, I always forget to cut
(27:18):
away from my body instead of toward.
Kind of embarrassing, but I think it'll be OK.
And she takes her hand off and it just reveals this huge, deep
gash. And everyone's like, let's come
back. Saul gets so excited she yells
stick and she runs over and she like throws her arms around her.
(27:40):
Sog Hey, it's good to see you. Oh man, it's.
Been so long? I know.
Oh, shoot. And as she's like cutting her,
she's getting like blood on her arms.
And it's like the milk is we're mixing with the blood and it's
like, oh, oh, shoot, let me. Yeah, sorry about that.
I'm totally bleeding a lot, so let.
(28:03):
Me, let me try to let me try to stop.
And she'll just cast Cure Woundson her and try to hatch up her
little excellent. You cast, you cast Cure Wounds,
and that wound heals right on up.
Aw, thanks, man. It's so good to see you.
Like, And she's like, kind of like moving her leg, making sure
(28:24):
it works and steps up on it and jumps up and down.
Yeah. That's like, great.
We should like, I don't know, catch up sometime.
I like to, you know, just like stand out in the deck at night
and, you know, smoke some cinnamon.
I don't know if you're, I can't remember if you're into that or
not, but you know, I got some atleast, but.
(28:45):
Oh stiff. The nights we spent out under
the stars tonight. Oh.
Absolutely. Let's do we'll.
Have to catch up. Let's let's do it right now.
I got to get back to cutting this rope though.
She goes to like cut it in the exact same way of like she's
cutting it towards her like a leg.
(29:09):
Her song is oblivious, she doesn't understand how to cut
either, and she just kind of continues walking along.
I just rolled dexterity check and and stick rolled A2 on that
and immediately slices through and cuts her leg again.
Oh, oh, sorry, ow. Oh no, stick and Saul comes back
(29:30):
over and tries to help out again.
Thanks. And you cast your wounds, heal
her back up. All right.
This time I got it. And she cuts normally and cuts
the rope. Excellent.
General Mills. You head to the cannons, which
are on the main deck. When you arrive, you see your
old Cannoneer crew members directly, who are directly under
(29:53):
your command. A group of Cocoa Puff men stop
what they're doing, and they turn to face attention and
salute. Wonderfully done, my boys.
But of course, you know that's not the proper way to greet me.
We're in for a hug. Oh, General, welcome back.
General and all these cocoa puffmen, these like come and hug
you. Around the chest.
(30:14):
Still, unfortunately, quite a sting last night.
General a sting that a sting from a from a pollen folkland.
Yes, we asked one of those bastards how to hold on my
beloved bands of Elfania. I had to get them back.
As you understand, we were goingto throw a mum aboard most why
he rained with that man Sting meinstead.
How are you all doing my boys? We're.
(30:37):
Great. We're great.
Welcome back. You'll find that the cannons
have been cleaned and polished, rivets tightened.
We as greased and slicked. Everything should be precisely
to your liking. Wonderful, I knew I only expects
the best for my men. Allows me to perhaps catch a
little shut. I were up far too late partying
last night. Well, I mean, well, if if you're
(30:58):
not feeling too well, you could just have another swig of rum.
That usually fix it all right up.
Oh. Yeah, so you know me too well,
my boy I. Can't get sweet I guess.
Well, we ought to. We're all right here back.
Oh, we're almost the whole crew.We got Richard Pritchard, Dobie,
William, William and Mephibosheth.
(31:19):
But unfortunately, Gary, he couldn't make it.
He died a few years ago in an unfortunate accident.
Accident. That must have been devastating
for my Blizzard chef. I know they were quite close
with Gary. Yes, yes, Mephibosheth, he's had
a hard time. And you see, there's one of the
Coco. Mephibosheth just like kicking
some like kicking a rope on the ground.
He's sad. Unfortunately, that's the life
(31:42):
of a pirate here for us. A good time, not a long time.
Yeah. Well, we're glad to have you
back. Thanks for joining.
Absolutely no problem. Have we benefited from a long
rest over the course of the partying?
I'm just sort of no. OK, no, just wanted to verify.
No, you have not, because you'reup partying all night.
No long rest, Antonia. You are sitting on the railing
(32:07):
of the quarter deck alone, surveying the milk and the froth
and the waves and wind through your spyglass, when you hear
Spoonleg's voice next to you. My apologies for addressing the
letter to both you and Alario. I didn't know you 2 had split
ways and he's suddenly kind of sitting next to you on the
(32:30):
railing. Oh, yeah, yeah, no, I, I, yeah,
no, I, he, he left and I don't know what happened.
I mean, it's still very, very upsetting, honestly.
I mean, I was just, you know, everything was fine and that we
were at port and I just woke up and then he was gone and I, I
(32:53):
just don't know what happened. I don't know.
I hope he's OK, but he didn't leave any note or anything.
He just laughed. So I don't know if he was
kidnapped or if he just, if he just abandoned me.
I mean, we were in love and I don't know what happened, so I
don't know. I hope, I hope he's OK wherever
he is, but I don't know. He looks a little bit
(33:17):
uncomfortable, actually. And he goes there, there.
She's like super awkward too. She's like, thanks.
Yeah, I just wanted to tell you.Yeah, sorry.
The only reason I did it was to save on pay on on parchment
there. No, I understand.
(33:38):
I, I, I value paper also. It's, it's it's OK.
It's OK. Right.
Say, what do you see out of thatspyglass there?
Is it a little silver dollar pancake island coming up there?
We are making excellent progress, Captain.
Right, right, but right like right there you see that little
that. Little yes.
Yes, I see it. I see.
Yes. Yeah, why don't you look through
(33:59):
your spyglass, get a closer lookthere.
OK. Roll up perception check.
Perception check. Just a little part of me thought
Tiddly might pull a spyglass outfrom under her desk in that.
Moment that I have, maybe that'sa 24 on the perception check.
A 24, Yes. You look out and see a very
(34:25):
plain looking tiny little island, 1 little palm tree on
it. Nothing descript about it.
But with the 24 you actually beat his stealth check and
notice that he slips away very quietly, quietly from your side.
And so you put it down and he isnot there anymore.
(34:46):
Oh, I mean that's I'm just like,I'm used to that.
Yeah, another man abandoning youwithout a word.
No, I mean, usually men abandoned me eventually and I
yeah, it's just my life. It's okay.
She's like, you know, like just playing with the spyglass, just
trying to just like, OK. You could just with your passive
(35:09):
insight, you could tell he was just a little bit uncomfortable
by. Like the same though.
Same. I thought we had that talk and
it's over and now we can move on, OK?
You hear some squeaking from behind you down and you look
down and you see a little wafflemouth mouth Waffle Mouse is
(35:33):
sniffing around the deck lookingfor food and you recognize
Nibbles, the mouse that lives onthe boat.
Bubbles. Oh my God.
Hi can I can ioffer some food? Sure, Yappy Little Nibbles looks
up. She looks up and like moves her
head back and forth. Hi.
How are you? Hi.
(35:55):
You go ahead and go ahead and roll an animal handling check.
Yeah, 14. 14 That's good enough for Nibbles.
She, she recognizes most of the crew and you're able to, to, to
feed Nibbles a little bit of little morsel, a little crumb
and Nibbles takes it, takes it and kind of scampers away, runs
(36:17):
away. Is there anything else that your
characters do this day as you guys are walking around sailing
on the ship, which is you guys are leaving the Sogs.
The ship has sailed out into the1% and is going to be heading
into the 2%. That means the one the Skims are
(36:39):
right near the islands, shallow water, get out a little bit
further. That's the 1%.
The 1% still, you know, deep water, but not super deep.
The 2% is going to be this dangerous area that it has kind
of the the rumors of like the sea monsters living out in the
2%. The 2% is where the trade winds
are. And so you guys are kind of
(37:00):
making your way in this first day of travel, first of eight,
anything else that you do today?I think that Milford would seek
out Ed and ask him if he could make a little whittling of Gary
so that I can give it to whichever Cocoa Puff whose name
I already forgot that I made-up had a close relationship with
(37:22):
Gary, who died. Yes.
Yes, Ed, my boy, you know that wonderful little car when you
did a fat bastard bumblebee folkthe other night?
Oh yeah, this one like I hold itup a.
Splitting image of him. I could almost feel the Stinger
from it right here in my heart. Unfortunately my my dear boy
(37:46):
Gary of my crew was passing. We would check.
One of my most loyal pops is really struggling with it.
I was wondering if you could perhaps make a card when you
remember Gary, of course. Oh, yeah, yeah, Gary, I remember
Gary. Hold on.
And that's just a Dex check plusproficiency.
That's what it was. Yeah, yeah, OK.
(38:12):
That was a 4 + 3 from Dexterity plus 3 from my my proficiency
bonus. And that that'll bring us up to
10 so. Great, great.
You whittle this thing. It's a round cocoa puff Man.
Pretty nondescript. I I hand it to him, I go.
Looks just like him. Maybe calm?
(38:34):
Maybe calm. Rest in peace, Gary at the
bottom, just so he knows for certain who it is.
Oh, OK. Yeah, yeah.
Should I do another one? No.
That's fine. You can carve.
You can carve the name just fineinto the bottom.
You at least can do that. Great.
But we misspelled Gary. It had two Rs.
(38:54):
We only put one. Wonderful.
I'll yes, I'll give this to my. We'll check as soon as I'm able.
Take that to Vivacek. You take it to the chef and he.
Hand it over. Yeah, I'll never remember that
name. It looks kind of like really
(39:15):
I'm, doesn't it? But thank you.
If you understand, I did my best.
But Ed, you know, sometimes his hands get a little jittery.
So it's the thought that counts.Yeah, thank you.
It's very, very kind gift. Very, very.
Oh, very. Oh, Eddie, just.
(39:37):
Maybe you should take the rest of the afternoon off my boy.
Just have a personal day. Would you do that?
It was just so horrible. It was just so horrible,
General, just the way it went. I just well, if you.
Don't mind me asking. It was my fault what happened.
Oh, you know, he was loaded. Oh no, fired from one of the
(40:01):
cannons. I guess you know, in the heat of
battle, we're all cocoa puff men.
We're all relatively the same size as the cannonballs, a
little bit bigger. And I would had a hand and
loading him up and we fired him off before we knew what was
happening and just sad. But he knew what he was getting
into with the role. I guess he didn't know what he
was getting into with the with the cannon, but.
(40:26):
What more glorious end could a cannoneer ask for them to be
part of the destruction themselves?
If anything, you've given him a noble end and I think deep down
he'd be proud of you. Beautiful words as always,
general. And he stands and.
Salutes you give. Him a little pat Great, send him
(40:47):
on his. Way anything else you guys would
like to do with this day? I I think Antonio would probably
be interested in the map, so shewould probably like when she
wasn't navigating, she would probably like go and basically
study the map. OK, cool, the box map.
(41:08):
Yeah, the box. The box.
Yeah, the cereal box. Give me an investigation check.
Pretty good. That was a 25. 25 That is
excellent. You study this map it intensely
and kind of look over this like this beautiful stylized map of
(41:30):
Ceramica and kind of see the different sea monsters, see the
the the Girtlands there and Fulgerius.
You like kind of hone in on the mountain itself, Mount Fulgerius
and can see the X kind of marks a spot as you look at the box
from away. But this is like a magical
(41:51):
effect. As you get closer, that X like
zooms in and you can see that itpoints directly into the base of
the Mount Fulgarius mountain. Very like is going to kind of
like honing in on the on the base, the volcano itself as
opposed to honing in on Mokana, the city or one of the islands
(42:12):
or Hot Springs around it. Great, great.
Anything else today? I would like to make some some
good coffee. I'll give 2 each to to SOG, 2 to
(42:33):
General Mills, and two to Antonia.
And then I'll go over to Bonnie Ann, wherever she's at and
slipper 1 and it just like it looks, it looks like a little
like a nice little dainty cup ofof coffee.
(42:54):
It's not like it's it's like just a tiny little teacup.
It's not really anything major. Excellent.
And what does he do? Yeah, good Joe or good coffee, I
can. I can make 10/10/10 berries.
It's good Berry. I can make 10 cups of coffee
(43:17):
that appear in my hand and are infused with magic For for the
duration of the spell, which is 24 hours, a creature can take a
bonus action to eat 1 Berry. Eating a Berry restores one hit
point, and the the the coffee provides enough nourishment to
sustain a creature for one day. Bonnie, Bonnie Ann takes it and
just says, hey, sorry about earlier.
(43:39):
I a lot of people end up in the pits for a lot of different
ways. I don't need to know anything.
Just looking for, I don't know, connections on this crew haven't
been on this crew before and kind of went about it the wrong
way. So.
No, it's, it's all right. So I, I'm, I'm a little testy.
(44:03):
I, I, I have major trust issues here.
Why don't let's let's talk some stories.
What was, if you don't mind me asking first?
Yeah. What was like the worst, the
worst fight that you ever had totriumph over?
Oh, you know the well, you know the banana split, right?
(44:29):
Yeah, that event. Yeah.
It's hard killing your own kind, you know?
It's not a fun thing. That place is pretty horrible,
but I'm glad I made it out. I'm sure you are.
You know, I ended up there because my family was sick and
needed money and I sold myself to the pits for them.
(44:50):
Family still died. I fought my way out of there and
became a pirate. So that's it's kind of my story.
Can I can can I roll a a perception check on that?
Yeah, go ahead and roll an insight check.
OK, Insight, that's 15 + 2. For insights, that's 17.
(45:14):
That's pretty good. She's in general pretty hard to
read, but you sent some genuine genuinality.
Genuinality. That's the word for sure.
Genuinality, yeah. Genuine.
Authentic feeling, yeah. Authentic.
What a great word. I don't like that word.
I like genuinality. Yeah.
Yeah. She's really, she's really,
(45:34):
she's pretty hard to read though.
Like you get, you know, this is the, you know, she's pretty
brief about her story. But yeah, seemed relatively
genuine. OK, I'll I'll tell her a little
bit. I'll just say, you know, Yeah, I
family can be tough and that place is sometimes a lot easier
(46:04):
than how how family is. So I like I get it.
If you if you ever need to talk about anything, just let me
know. And and I'm here.
I just kind of clink my cup. She.
(46:24):
Cheers. Yeah, takes a sip.
Great. Anything else today I.
Think SOG is going to try and find like a quiet corner of the
ship somewhere where she can be alone?
How long of a message can I sendwith my sending ring?
25 words is sending if I'm recalling correctly.
(46:48):
That's right, right? I think that's correct.
I'm pretty sure. So Sog's going to get on her
little sending ring. Hey, mom and dad, things are
already crazy. We're heading out to sea and I
(47:10):
think we're heading off to the island of oh shit.
And then? So she gets right to 25.
Yeah, the island of Blank the. Island of.
Oopsie. You activate that gem on that
(47:30):
gem on your that ring, and it just, it lights up and then goes
out just as you're about to say the last word.
Perfect. And then I'm going to go try and
find stick and smoke some cinnamon with her.
OK, great. As you go and look for her, you
hear a voice from down below thedeck.
(47:50):
Dinner is served to come and getit, and the voice of Raphael the
Crumbien cookman. You hear him from the from Below
deck. And you guys kind of walk down
as everybody's kind of going down to get some food.
Tonight I've cooked up somethingspecial.
Yes, and you see a bunch of fruit cut up in things like
flowers and stars and edible arrangement type bouquet
(48:14):
bouquets. Fresh fruit will only last for a
few days, so we must eat it all.I also have a potato pig omelets
if you prefer. Poodle me just fine For me.
I prefer not to, you know, eat anything that I've recently
slept with. No, not like that.
You, you're disgusting. What an interesting what an
(48:38):
interesting sentence you have just.
Said Antonio's checking the fruit to make sure it's not
sticky. You know.
Now I'll take an omelette, please.
General, do you have some sort of dietary restriction I do not
know about or you? Are there's some wonderful
(48:59):
acquaintance for some potato pigs recently, you know, in the
Waffle Isles, mixed up about eating themselves for the.
Honor on. My Bedwells.
Honor on how to steps forward. Somebody poisoned him, poisoned
him and threw him into a pile of.
Potato. Yes, well, somebody that milk
(49:21):
rum is basically poison. That's true.
No, but that is a serious question.
Does anybody have any dietary restrictions?
It's all of you are here. So you're obviously not
breakfast fundamentalist in the breakfast fundamentalist in
here, anyone and. You know that breakfast
(49:43):
fundamentalists are people who only eat before noon and then
they fast the rest of the day. They really stick very strictly
to the breakfast mindset breaking fast.
Anyone like that? OK, seems seems not.
And so we have all of this and then we also have our fiber rods
and you can see just like a pileof these like fibrous rods.
(50:06):
And he's like, but we tried to save these.
If we are out at sea and we do not have fresh, fresh food, I
would implore you to eat something good versus the fiber
rod. Those are just there for if we
need it. And you guys kind of like go
through and get some? Food it's.
Like this scene from Hook? Yeah, the night is kind of the
(50:30):
night is ending. The soul is kind of dipping down
beneath the sunset and sog. You go and find Stick and stick
is out there smoking a cinnamon stick and just looking out and
you walk out into the stars and moon.
(50:51):
The stars and moon in Ceramica are static and so the moon is
always in the same place and thestars are always in the same
exact place every night. Still pretty beautiful, still
night sky and and endless expanse and whatnot.
But you walk up and and she says, hey, Sog, hey, it's good
(51:15):
to see you here. And she I got one lit for you.
Hey Stick and Sog's going to pull out some some milk rum that
she always has on her and is going to swap milk rum for for
the cinnamon stick. OK, great.
Like like she's like giving it to to her.
(51:36):
Yeah, they're going to pass. Off oh, oh, awesome.
Yeah. Oh, sick love milk rum.
Oh, it's it's almost as good as all the other types.
Yeah, man, just like looking offinto the sky.
Do you ever like, wonder, like is there anything out there
(51:58):
like, is this it? Whoa stick, you are just.
Your mind is so out there. I was just like, I've been
thinking like if we're, you know, if we're like in a bowl,
like are we just out in space orlike are we like on a table or
(52:21):
something? Stick, you're blowing my mind
right now. Yeah, I'm blowing my mind too.
Just takes a big puff. Wow, geez.
You stick. Yeah.
I ask you something, take some, drink some more milk crumb.
(52:44):
What? Why do people keep?
Talking about a pirate code. Oh yeah, what about it?
I mean, why? Why aren't?
Shouldn't we be talking about a merchant code or like a a?
Sand, you know, the pirate code is written by the bezel beard
(53:06):
dude. And we like follow that sort of
like a lot of the pirates don't.But like we try to follow it
because we believe in being an honorable pirate and some sort
of like a democracy on the sea, you know, as opposed to being,
you know, servants of the merchant Lords or peasants for
(53:27):
the kings and Queens of the world.
You know all that stuff, right? Yeah, yeah.
And socks. Just going to drink some more
milk rum. Yeah, yeah, OK.
Uh huh. Yeah.
Because, you know, like, becausewe're pirates, so we got to like
to live by a code, right? By pirate you mean merchant?
(53:57):
That song, Yeah. You're funny, Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. And she's going to take, she's
going to take the cinnamon stickand smoke it.
Great. Yeah.
And you guys just sit there on the deck kind of smoking away
the rest of the evening. So this is the.
Equivalent of like if a pot leafcharacter smoked pot, like just
(54:18):
like that, that's a cinnamon stick.
That's smoking a cinnamon stick.What the?
Hell, but it's different, you know it is different.
We all understand that, of course.
Anything else you guys do beforebed below deck?
Bed is hammocks. There's like a bunch of hammocks
that are kind of strung up around.
(54:39):
Each person has their own hammock, but that's where bed
is. You guys, there is a normal
rotation of people to walk the the deck and make sure that you
know you're not being stuck up on by pirates and things and
that the ship is still sailing. Can I find a disguise?
Like I'm assuming there might bea disguise kit somewhere
(55:03):
Somewhere on the ship My could Ipossibly find one?
A disguise kit? Yeah, there's plenty of like.
Well, there's plenty of stuff around.
Go ahead and give me an invest investigation check.
OK, this guy up to. That is a 19.
I don't. Anything.
(55:24):
Extra. OK, yes, you know that there are
like you go around and find somelike boxes of of old, like robes
and clothes that that are below deck.
You know that Captain Spoon leg has acquired some different
Yeah, just things like disguise kit.
(55:46):
So you'd you'd be able to find adisguise kit essentially.
OK all. Right, Can I?
Can I take 1? Sure.
Yeah, OK, cool, Cool. I'll take one.
I'll take a disguise kit. Cool.
Interesting. I'm just for fun.
Yeah, not going to come up againlater, I'm sure.
Cool, you find a disguise kit. Anybody else have anything
(56:06):
they'd like to do before dozing off?
No, I don't think so. Antonio probably has like a
picture, like a little drawn picture of Olario, and she's
just like pulls it out and she'slike looking at it and like
quietly sobbing to herself in her back.
She's trying to cry so no one notices.
(56:27):
She's just like, you know, quietly sobbing.
Ed doesn't sleep, so he's like, I can still hear you.
I'm sorry. I'm.
Sorry, I'll. Try to be quiet, Sir, It's OK.
Right, The night takes you and you all fall asleep and get up
the next day and the next two days go by pretty uneventfully.
(56:51):
You're sailing out into the openmilk, sailing out.
The weather is is is fine. Sun's shining bright, raising
clouds in the sky to block souls, you know, full potency.
But you sail out onto the seas and you have a couple days of
sailing on the third day of sailing.
(57:14):
Also, nothing happens and we make it to our.
Destination. That was the long rest, right?
Correct. That Yep, you all have a long.
Rest OK, so long rest exactly. Two at this point.
OK thank you. 2 means I get on my head dice back so I was going
to ask. Yeah.
Well, technically, yeah. So.
I think at the start of all these days I'm going to just be
making good, good coffee, like at first thing in the morning
(57:38):
and try to hand hand two out to everybody good.
And I don't have to leave the two in my inventory.
Oh yeah, 'cause they go bad after 24 hours, so I'll just
assume I always have to. I'm gonna.
Try. Yeah, yeah.
So. So, Ed, you just walk around and
give people their morning coffee.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get up and go.
I'm I'm gonna give 2 each to Antonia to to General Mills into
(58:00):
SOG each time if I can when Mills.
Holds. 4 for myself. Don't expire, right?
The flourish points are there. Yeah, fair to stay.
So let's do a flourish count. How many, how many guys do you
have? Right.
How many flourish points you guys have right now?
Did I earn like 10 of them for murdering a bee in cold blood on
the deck? You.
Did not earn any Flourish pointsfor.
(58:22):
The then I have 0 Kyle. Currently.
Sitting at 0. I think Tiddly has one.
I have one, I just wanted to check to see if I still had it.
I have lunch. OK.
Cool, I'm also at 0. So the first two days including
that first day go by uneventfully.
So really it's you have the the next day that goes by and on the
third day of travel, you guys pass by, you're passing by some
(58:48):
of the Gertlands. This is kind of like the
outskirts of the Gertlands. The Gertlands are this big
swampy yogurty area of the milk. This is where all the fruit
people originally have come from.
So it's still inhabited by tons of of fruitions.
The tomatoids are there too, buttomatoids are are fruitions that
are kind of, you know, pushed tothe side.
(59:09):
They're not really accepted by the rest of the fruitions.
But you see coming from one of the areas where, you know, an
island is there from the Gertlands of this like Gert,
like swampy nastiness. Out of it comes a ship kind of
heading to to stop you and, and head you off.
(59:32):
And I need one of you to roll for me AD 6.
Okay, it looks like that is a 2.A2 Excellent.
Is it excellent? Are we going to agree?
I don't know. I don't know.
As you look out and the ship is sailing, suddenly the bells go
(59:58):
off. Another ship, another ship,
another ship. And you can.
See out in the distance, this island is sitting there and
another ship comes into view. You see the ship that is
brightly colored, all these different colors on it.
It looks like a bunch of kids have just taken paint and like
painted on a bunch of like Fruity pebbles just all over
(01:00:19):
this ship as it sails out. And you hear this like shrill
voice of like children screaming.
And you can see on the on the ship these like little fruition
people that are small. These are childlike fruitions
that are like children, but not true children, like demonic
(01:00:41):
children. And on the front of the ship,
you see on the bowsprit of the ship a man standing there that
is a pancake man. He's got a kids like pancake
face with bananas for eyes, thisbig smile.
And you can see as the ship comes into view, he just raises
his his dagger in the air. Tally who?
(01:01:04):
And, and you can hear Jimmy LongJohn on the ship, the takes.
You can see Jimmy Long John has all these scars.
He goes. Oh no, not these guys.
Jimmy, who are who are these guys?
Who are these guys? I know we we got to turn around.
This is not good. When I was so like, you know, in
the off years, right when we were like 5 years went by and we
(01:01:27):
were, you guys were all doing pirate stuff.
I did something else where I wason a syrup tanker and trying to
do something, you know, maybe not as a pirate.
And then they came and took us over and it's a bunch of like,
it's a bunch of like kid people. And then that guy on there,
that's Peter Pancake. He, he's not a kid, but he
(01:01:48):
thinks he's a kid and he's, he'scoming to attack us.
He took us captive. And it's hard to be mad at him
because they're just like little, you know, Imps.
But they're ruthless. They tied me up and and then
threw the rope underneath the ship and dragged me under the
ship where the Fruity Pebbles were and scarred me up like
this. This is bad.
(01:02:10):
Monster would do such a thing toa prisoner.
Unbelievable. And Peter Pancake comes out into
view and and he's just saying. Come with me, where dreams are
born and time is never planned. Just think of happy things and
your heart will fly on wings. And he flips up in the air.
(01:02:31):
Skip. It in and he floats up in the
air on top of the yard and. Come aboard the Never Never
ship. And Captain Spoon leg is like,
oh, as a stations man, the cannons, let's take out this
crazy weird ship and we are entering into ship combat.
And so in this system, this is the cinematic ship combat.
(01:02:56):
This is very much a duel betweentwo ships where the ships are in
combat and we're going to make some sail roles.
Whoever wins this helmsman role,it's a combination of all of
your guys roles together. If you can beat their role, this
contested role, then you get advantages on your cannon fire.
So it's very much who can get the right angle, who can
(01:03:19):
maneuver their ship to get theircannons lined up properly and
outmaneuver the other ship to take them down.
And so we're going to start off with some officer actions.
You guys all have your officer actions available and so as
Captain Spoon Leg is taking the helm and you guys are all going
to your various areas on the ship, what is an officer action
(01:03:40):
you'd like to do to start this off?
I would like to go ahead and I'll run up to like wherever my
station is and shout, raise yourspoons, my milkman.
And I'm going to inspire all of the the one D4 for everyone's
(01:04:05):
officer. Is that an automatic thing that
you get? Oh, I guess you have to roll for
it, but. Yeah, for performance.
If you succeed, we get that D4 OK.
That's a 22. Yep.
So you guys all get AD 4 to yourofficer actions?
You can do D4, OK. I'm going to try to bank an
(01:04:26):
invasive maneuver, OK? That's.
Let's see investigation. Nature, our survival.
Would would that, would that be bolstered by like an improved
station action? Yes, you can.
One of your actions is that you can improve someone else's
station to give them. Yeah.
(01:04:48):
Let me do that. The DC is 20 so it would be
helpful. Yeah, so it's a Dexterity check
plus tool proficiency. So it's ADC 15.
That's a 14 on the die, plus three from Dexterity and +3 for
my proficiency. So that puts you out of. 20
Perfect. That is well, that is a that
(01:05:08):
puts you in the 20. So yeah, you are improved Sail
station. Now instead of AD 6 for her sail
roll, it's AD 8 that she rolls. So, so great.
Yeah, that would be And so Tillythat you, you did that to her
Antonia Station. This doesn't affect the action.
(01:05:30):
Yeah, Yeah, that's OK. I mean that's that's good though
for the sale role. OK, I'm going to try for the
investigation and then I get theoh, that's so bad.
I got. A13A13 You are trying to figure
out how you're going to, you know, evasively maneuver and
communicate that to Captain Spoonlig on the helm.
And you can see the this area isjust there's so much Gert just
(01:05:53):
around like yogurt. It's hard to figure out how to
maneuver the ship, and you're unable to get that bonus as your
officer action. I will yell out to my boys, to
my. Papaza Cannon's boys, we must
blast these demented him out of the milk.
And I'll make a prepare the cannon check so that we can do
(01:06:16):
an extra 2D10 damage if I hit ADC 15.
Oh yeah. That is, that would be your
cannon that does that. Not.
Sure, everybody's, but yeah. Yes, and I remember that, but
yeah, I succeeded because I got a 16 on the check.
Excellent pack of cannons. Pack of cannons.
(01:06:38):
They all plugging, you know, a bunch of gunpowder into.
Yours to like pack it a extra extra tight to do some extra
damage. Excellent.
And make sure they're all cannonballs and no.
Puffs just so we don't have another Gary situation.
Good. Yeah.
Righto, righto, righto. Yeah, so as your inspire action
(01:07:01):
that you did SOG, you also get to do a support action.
So you did that one D4 to everyone's officer actions and
you get a support action. So you could prepare your
station, which means you make ADC 15 check and that you on a
success you get to roll advantage with your sail roll
that's upcoming. You could investigate a weakness
(01:07:23):
on their ship to get advantage on your next cannon shot.
Yeah, you could help another officer make their action, which
they've all made their actions already.
Or yeah, the end effect. I won't prepare my station 21.
21 excellent. You can have advantage on your
sale roll. Awesome Cool.
(01:07:45):
Let me I'm going to roll for their sale checks here.
This is going. Great so far for their officer
actions. You can see these kids are like
scrambling up to try and these little fruit kids are trying to
scramble up and make their stations good, but it's just
mass chaos on this ship. There's a ton of them so they
(01:08:06):
have an extra sail roll that they have, but they just tried
to all prepare their stations and it's just mass chaos on this
ship as as like three of them are on the on the helmsman wheel
trying to move it. Peter the pancake is just
flipping around. Just.
Let's do this. And so we go to the top of the
(01:08:27):
order here, which is the sale rolls and the Helmsman check.
And so everybody for your sale roll, you get AD 6 to make for
your sale roll and some of you have bonuses to that.
Yes, Tiddly's got AD 8 and Tau can do it with advantage.
Getting AD doing D8 OK. So let's go through Scott.
(01:08:52):
What'd you get for your sail roll?
1. A1 Excellent and.
No, it's not. Not excellent.
I got a four. 4 tiddly 6/6 and SOG. 6. 6 woo sale rolls are
(01:09:16):
even 17 to 17. The the the imp children, you
can see those are kind of getting closer.
You can see they're like frucia, but they're like like fake fruit
like these are like true like imp children that are just like
just like manufactured from somewhere.
And the sale rolls are even bothof you rolled seventeens.
And so let me roll they they'll roll their helmsman check just
(01:09:40):
at 12. And so you are needing to beat a
total of a 29. There was the salesman sale
check that they had, plus their helmsman check Captain Spoonleg
calls out to. To SOG, SOG, let's get this crew
up into shape and tell them to move this, you know, move to the
(01:10:03):
pork side and swing the and pullon the sails.
And SOG, you were going to make the helmsman check for this, and
so you currently have a 17. You need to get up to a 29, so
you need to be a 12 on your helmsman check.
That's going to be your best ability modifier plus your
proficiency bonus. OK, plus proficiency.
(01:10:23):
Proficiency. All right, that is 12 or high
25. 25. You're rolling high.
Let's go. 25 + 17 that is 42 versus their 29.
You have expertly outmaneuvered their crew and at beating them
(01:10:45):
by 10. You have a choice of an
advantage here. You can choose to have advantage
on your cannon fire and you get a critical hit.
If your attack roll exceeds their AC by two.
You can impose disadvantage on their cannon fire and take half
damage from it if hit. You can perform a ram attack
with a + 10 where you can ram into them and that would trigger
(01:11:06):
boarding. Or you can actually just choose
to disengage from combat by winning it by winning from by 10
or more. Are we feeling an attack on fire
cannon or advantage on fire cannon?
I like having like that firing cannons.
Let's do let's do some advantageon our cannon fire.
(01:11:27):
Excellent. I like it.
I like it. I like it.
So you guys out maneuver and we're going to the cannon phase.
You guys all get to fire a cannon and so a cannonball is
6010 of damage is how much it does.
That's a Dexterity check with the firearm proficiency which
you all have. If you would like to use a spell
(01:11:50):
cannonball you can and fire withyour spell casting attack
modifier. And so you guys can go in any
order you would like. We all have advantage, correct?
Is that what? Great, so I get sneak attack
off. Yes, you do.
Then, so I'm just going to do it.
I'm going to go that is 14 + 6 so 20 on my to hit. 20 will hit.
(01:12:22):
Excellent. SO and I have.
Is it hit by more than two? Does it be by?
Don't we get a critical hit if it's more than Oh.
Yeah, 20, Yep, that's going to be a critical hit.
So all of your dice are doubled. And I already had eight, so now
I get 16 D 10 plus. 60. 6 for sneak attack.
(01:12:43):
So the 6010 damage from the cannonball is now 12 D 10.
But I had eight D 10 because I packed my cannons with my
officer. Gotcha.
Just. Let me I'm.
Just going to do this one in D&DBeyond 16 D, 10 and 66.
Let's see what that adds up to on this shot.
(01:13:06):
That is 108 sandwich from Maya. You guys get positioned right
perfectly into view. I'm back in the count of this
kind of a pack Sir Fire and thiscounter ball just ripped
through. His name, do you?
Like, hold up the figurine. For Gary.
(01:13:27):
You like strap the figurine to one of the cannonballs.
Rips into this just just demolishes that one cannonball.
Just demolishes part of this bigfruit ship.
The lot of the, the children just like fall over these imp
children and, and Peter pancake like, flips up in the air.
Oh, and like, floats up and he like, he got his dagger out.
(01:13:53):
So he's, so he's got this big like banana smile.
He's just that like :) pancake look excellent.
That is your, that is the first shot.
So that was a hundred a. 108 a 108. 108, Excellent.
Wow, that was incredible. Yeah.
Who would like to go next? Dan will go next.
(01:14:16):
We have, so we have advantage onthis.
Yes, yeah, advantage. And if you hit by more than two
of their AC then you get critical head damage.
And AC IS17MM Hmm. No, you don't know the AC.
OK, gotcha. Well, I I rolled 2 fours, so
(01:14:37):
that's not going to, that's not going to do anything, dude.
We'll do all your auditions. Maybe it's enough.
It's just 10 then. Just 10 cannon that first hit on
that cannon like dips the ship down just a little bit and that
your cannonball just flies over the top misses.
No, all right, I will. I will try that will be 20.
(01:15:01):
Yes, 20 will hit and is it? Are you firing with your?
So you have regular cannonballs and then you have the spell
cannonballs. To fire the spell cannonballs
you have to to load them with a cantrip or a spell.
To use your spell casting attackmodifier you want to.
OK, I am using Ray of Frost. OK, cool.
(01:15:22):
And does 20 meet the threshold for that to be critical?
Hit. It does.
It absolutely does. So this will be a critical hit.
The rate? So how many of those D 10s do I
get? Hit.
So you get 12 D 10s, it does thenormal cannonball attack and
then your spell will activate onhit.
OK, so then I get 2D gates on top of that.
(01:15:46):
Oh my God, that's 80. 80 sick isthat plus the two D8?
Yeah, it's including the two D eight, Yeah.
Excellent. And so you fired that spell
cannonball. You loaded up and cast the spell
into the cannonball, place it in, fire it with your spell
(01:16:09):
casting modifier that like frostlike appearance as this
cannonball flies over, hits the deck of their ship and then
activates that ray of frost likeblasts this like cold energy on
it. And that is going to do that.
Yeah, extra cold damage and the speed of the ship is reduced by
(01:16:30):
10 feet until the start of its next turn.
Nice. So that's going to be a -1 point
to their collective sail rolls that that will happen to that
will 'cause. I like the image of a frozen
cannonball, like the the fire from the explosion comes out and
then just gets like frozen in place, you know, like ice.
Rim around. The cannon stuff.
(01:16:52):
Now Incredible. And that leaves SOG all.
Right, I'm going to also do a spell, Shannon.
Which spell? Starry Wisp and that is we get
our proficiency and. You you get to fire your with
(01:17:17):
your spell casting modifier. Oh, just.
Spell spell spell spell. Sorry, spell attack modifier.
So your spell attack is what's up?
17 will hit and that will hit bytwo more than it's AC and so
this. Will be hit spell.
Yeah. That's good to know.
So that's 12 D 10. Yeah.
(01:17:39):
And then 4D8. All right, 85.
Yeah. That's like 300 points of damage
and three, it's pretty. Good.
Fire your fire your cannonball and it like has this bright
starry light effect that like screams through the air as this
(01:18:04):
cannonball launches, fires, hitsthe deck of the ship.
And then it's just like this radiant light that like spreads
out like swisps around on the surface of the ship and it's lit
up a little bit. So it can't benefit from the
invisible condition, but it's not invisible.
But very cool. And you said that was how many,
how much damage was it? 85.
(01:18:26):
OK. It is at it is past just past
50% of its health. And so it is going to be
susceptible to boarding at this point if you wanted to initiate
boarding and but it is going to fire its cannons.
And so it has 4 main cannons to fire.
(01:18:51):
It's a Nat 20 on one of them andit's the other ones.
And so that is 6121820430 D8 or D10.
Excuse me? We're not afraid.
We're not afraid. Did he just say 30 D 10?
(01:19:14):
Yeah. Yeah, a total of 190 damage hits
your ship as the four. I'm a.
Little afraid. We did.
More damage to them on our turn and we've already, yeah.
You did. You did a lot more damage they
we did. 273 or whatever so. Yeah, we did like 3-3 hundred
though, because you did 100. I did 108, you did 80.
(01:19:35):
And then we did 280 to 8085, yeah.
Then you see as Peter Pancake whips around like flops on this,
flops down and then rises up andkind of aims this big cannon on
the center of their deck. This this cannon that he infuses
with this like magical energy and fires this big magical ball
(01:19:57):
at you guys. Let's see if this hits and sails
over, misses on his on that mainship attack goes over.
And that is the cannon phase. We're back to the officer
actions. And so you guys can take an
officer action at this point. If you would like to initiate
(01:20:19):
boarding, you can because they are at half health.
If you want to keep firing away, you can.
Would we board during the cannonphase technically, rather than
the officer? Officer phase, We'll still do
regardless. Yeah.
So you at any point can initiate, initiate the boarding
at at this point. So like the you can do it during
(01:20:43):
officer phase now because they are they're not immobile, but
you can get to them pretty easily by doing the normal
sailing of the ship. You can wait to do it till after
next cannon phase if you'd like.I don't want to bore, I don't
want to be anywhere to do this fucking freak pancake I feel.
(01:21:05):
Like we get the cannon phase forfree, let's just do the cannon
phase and see how that goes. Nothing valid that we're after
the other one's trying to attackoff.
I am going, I'm going to order ship repairs.
OK, smart for my action. So I roll a number of ship hit
die and we have two masts. You have two masks?
(01:21:26):
Yep. We have two masks.
OK, so 3D 10 + 2 is my role, yeah.
I think so, yeah. OK, Two masks, D10.
And yeah, your preference to bonus is 3, so yeah, 3D 10 + 2.
That's 5:00 and 7:00 so that's that's 1212 to heal the ship.
(01:21:49):
Not much. These rolls are shit dude.
OK, you start patching up the ship, hammering, hammering and
boards to make sure that the themilk isn't flowing in anymore
and and and healing up the ship a little bit, repairing it.
Great. What are other officer actions?
Do you guys think I should just prepare the cannons again or
(01:22:11):
should I try the harder thing ofaiming for the rigging to get so
they have one less available sail roll?
That that feels like a very piraty thing to do.
Can I inspire y'all before you try that check to give you a
little extra 1D4 to that I? Think you.
Should I'll do a little inspire and I'll also prepare my
station. Cool.
(01:22:34):
Oh failed the station. Uh oh.
Do. You have to roll for the
Inspire. Oh, I do have to roll for
inspiration. Oh yeah, OK, that is 16.
Six seats 6. Six.
Yeah, Great. Great.
(01:22:55):
OK. So that is that was the
inspiration one where they get to do the D4.
That's inspiration, but I failedprepare station.
OK, so. It's 11-D4 added. 1D four.
OK, Yeah. So we have two like a total of
2D four right now. Just one D4?
Yeah that's it. He resets each each officer
phase. Didn't know, just asking.
Mm hmm. Yep, how dare you ask.
(01:23:18):
How? Dare you.
No questions allowed. Wow, Dan, I'm.
Going to yell at my boys to aim for the rigging.
I'm going to. Why not?
Let's do the harder thing. What's going to work?
Go for it. I'm going to get it right now.
I'm not going to get it right now.
Guys, that's a failure. I rolled a 7 + 7.
(01:23:39):
There's no way I can make that into a 20.
Oh, that's that's a no. OK, you try to aim for the
rigging, but everything's movingtoo much around, too much yogurt
swampiness around. It's got to move in the ship
weirdly as you're kind of navigating around.
(01:23:59):
Obviously. Yes, great.
That is Soggs and Mills and Ed'sofficer action.
Antonia, what would you like to?Do it is time for Antonio to
navigate. OK, let's try.
All right, I made it so it's ADC4:15.
(01:24:19):
I rolled A12 with the four. I succeed on that, which means I
get to roll an additional. I get to roll 2D6 on my next
sail roll. Cool.
Excellent. That's great.
Yes, awesome. We go to the top.
They you can see the kids they tried to improve all all of
their sail stations, you know trying to like get ready for
(01:24:42):
this next sale on their ship Peter pancake ship and they all
failed. I rolled 5 failures on their on
their rolls. They were like 7 and below.
So it's just mass chaos on the ship as you guys have wrecked it
already once. So let's do the let's do the
sail, rolls sail. Rolls OH.
(01:25:05):
Let's go. Dan, it's an audio medium.
Holding up your fingers helps nobody.
It helps me. All right, done.
That's fine on my. Left Dan is holding up four
fingers for everyone to see. Oh, is that how many I'm holding
up? Crap.
(01:25:25):
I don't know, Antonio may have had too much milk crumb.
I mean, I know how to count well.
You can never have too much malecrumb.
Just ask a song, she'll tell you.
But but, you know, I mean, I, I don't tolerate it very well.
So sometimes it, you know, it really turns into a literal poop
deck for me. I unfortunately, yeah.
(01:25:46):
Sail rolls? What?
What'd you guys get? I got a four.
I got an 11 with the the two Oh that is.
So strong. I know.
Dung dung sog. What'd you get?
Got a three? And Mills?
I got a six this time. Much better than last time.
(01:26:10):
Excellent roll. That is 24 on your sail rolls.
Their total helmsman check is a 34 and so someone is going to
have to roll A10 to beat their role.
Very easy to do and that is going to.
Be damn not damn. Not damn, not damn.
Damn, damn. No, no.
God damn. Can I use the blast for
(01:26:35):
inspiration? Did I hear it?
No. No, not the +4.
You can use your flourish point on this if you need it, but
Captain Spoon leg calls out. And grab the ropes pole.
Let's get an angle on them. OK, would this also count as an
ability? Oh no, it's not an ability to
check. No, you roll AD 20 and it is you
(01:26:58):
add your proficiency bonus plus either your strength decks,
intelligence, wisdom or A. Career gotcha.
OK, that's 15 + 4 from Strength +3, so that's 22. 22.
I think you got them. I think you got them.
That is a total of 46 points against their 34.
(01:27:23):
You guys get the plus ten advantage again.
You want to do that advantage again on this.
Yeah, I think. We do, Yeah.
Why not? Yeah.
Yeah, let's do that. OK, the ship is in shambles, the
other ship as they try to out maneuver you but there's just no
chances. You guys swing around and
position your cannons perfectly once again finding the swell in
the wave to just get your some extra height on it to aim your
(01:27:45):
point your cannons directly downtheir deck.
Let's do some cannon rolls. We don't have an order for this,
so I'm just going to do it firstbecause that's what we did last
time. Oops.
Please land on the table. All right, 18 + 7, so 25 to hit.
Yes, that will hit which. Is a crit in this world.
(01:28:07):
I guess it is. And I I do want to yell at it.
Listen here short stack, next time think a little more
carefully before you attack someone.
To Peter Pancake. I just wanted to call him short
stack. Short stack OK, so this is 12 D
10 plus the sneak attack, but I want to sacrifice one of my
(01:28:29):
sneak attack die to do we we didthis in our training.
I'm going to do it. We're doing it for real now.
I want to spend A1 to add poisonand aim at one of the cannons to
try to give one of the cannons disadvantage.
Yes on there that all right, andthat's ADC 15 con save that they
need to make all right, SO12D10 and I'm only going to do 4D6
(01:28:53):
because it costs one sneak attack die of the three D6 and
so we'll say there were only twoand then they get doubled for
the crit. That makes the most sense to me
right? Not nearly as impressive of
damage this time. That is only 58 damage. 58
(01:29:14):
damage. OK, and Peter Pancake is going
to oh, I guess this is going to hit one of the the cannons with
the pirates on them. So they're going to It's not
Peter Pancake that makes us save, it is Pirates.
Yeah, I'll aim at the regular pirates.
You said constitution saving. Yep bro DC-15 con save or be
(01:29:37):
poisoned for one minute. Tavern roll Let's do a Tavern
roll. Let's.
Roll it on the Tavern. Hey, that's an 18.
That's success 17 on the die excellent cannon hits poison
effect swirling through the air as it hits the IT hits the ship,
but the pirates children around the cannon save on that.
(01:30:02):
Hey, who'd like to fire next? I would like to fire.
Next I'm going to try to do chromatic orb with Thunder.
Cool. So like a Thunder, a Thunder
cannon rot, OK. Extra loud cannonball.
That's a 26. Yep.
(01:30:25):
OK great. So do I get the?
Crit damage, Yes you do. Crit damage and that's 12.
Yes, just double all the dice. All right.
And then I also get 68 for the Thunder damage.
Yeah, 98 points of damage. 98 Did you roll 2 or did you roll
(01:30:51):
two or more on any of those D eights?
Sorry, did you roll two or more the same number on two or more?
OK so I did. I got 4 twos.
Awesome. OK, so that will leap again and
do the damage again. And I'm not going to make you
roll the attack roll on that. The chromatic orb will just do
(01:31:12):
that. And so that's an additional 48
as well. There's a or no additional 68
because it's all crit, right? It is crit, yeah.
Yeah, OK, OK. So what was the initial damage
you had there it? Was 98 initial. 98 OK.
And the additional is 33. And if does the double thing
(01:31:32):
keep happening if any of those are double s?
Or is it a 1? I don't.
Think so? OK.
Just make sure it's. One, one that.
You say or whatever it. Is OK.
The the orb can't leap again unless you cast the spell with a
level 2 plus spell slot. Yeah, I do not.
So for 131 total damage, boom your cannon like fires off with
that thunderous sound like louder than all the other
(01:31:54):
cannons on the ship launches hits the deck and boom hits the
Thunder damage and then that chromatic orb that that
cannonball just like spirals andlike hits the the quarter deck
as well boom and does the extra damage.
This ship is looking horrible. It is almost down to 10% of its
of its remaining. Wow.
(01:32:15):
Yourself both started with 500. We could have guarded, but this
is more fun 2. People left and their ship is
close to sinking. I'll go.
To. Yeah.
Go ahead. I forgot I forgot that I could
use my my battle master maneuvers here like like I could
have made that last one hit, butI'm not going to do that do that
(01:32:37):
on this one. So I'm going to, I'm going to do
an attack and then can I action surge?
Yeah, you can. You absolutely can.
OK, did. I'm just going to roll both of
those attacks then. Is that cool?
Cool. Yeah, All right, cool.
I got an 18 and a 17 on the. Die.
(01:32:57):
Yeah, on the die. So both of those would hit.
And we'll both do crit damage. Great.
So you guys see as espresso likeloads of cannon fires and then
just action surge somehow, miraculously, impossibly does an
action surge in the same turn, moves and loads of cannon fires
off 2 cannonballs. Well, amazingly.
(01:33:18):
Second, the cannon leaves the barrel.
He's already putting another onein.
Yep. He he loads it in a cannon here
by accident #2. So how many D10 is that?
24-D10 if they're both grids, soyeah.
Yeah, 24 D 10 all. Right, I'm stacking them up in
(01:33:39):
D&D Beyond. SOG I think you might not get a
chance to fire this right all. Right, let's go 126 damage.
Incredible fire, drew cannonballs hit sip.
Ship is sinking. You take it out completely, Ship
(01:34:00):
is sinking. All these like fake fruit kids.
These Imps are like trying to swim away and Peter's like
flying above them like. If you just believe you can fly
like. Me believe believe as he's
trying to encourage some of the fruit children to do it and
they're like trying to but they can't.
And he like touches grabs down and like grabs onto one of them
(01:34:20):
and they grab on to the next one.
And he starts to create a chain of them as he's like.
Lifting them out. You can fire if you like SOG at
Peter pancake. Fire a cannon at Peter Pancake.
Well, this dude like kidnaps children or whatever he's.
Real weird. I'm gonna do a.
(01:34:41):
I'm gonna do a a spell that's a He's not a.
Good guy he is. Not good.
That's Jimmy Long John. Should we?
Should we drag them under the ship?
And I like it too. Like, you know, that's a little
bit strong for my taste, but it would hurt a lot doing that and
(01:35:01):
you could see on the. Jimmy.
For Jimmy. Go ahead and roll to it, Peter
Pan. 19. 19. Is that a crit?
But not for for him, no, becausehe's not a ship anymore.
He's just a dude flying in the air.
(01:35:22):
Just a dude. He's.
Not a ship anymore. To clarify, yeah.
It's. More of a breakfast food.
Usually with these rules you can't target specific people on
the deck with your cannons, but now that this now that the ship
is sunk. I mean, he's a sitting gun flow.
That the never never ship is sung.
Yeah. And all these fruitlings are are
(01:35:45):
chain together. Go ahead and and hit and apply
any spell that you were going toapply to that.
Spell So I'm going to cast Dissonant Whispers and I'm going
to pick up the cannonball and I'm going to say get socked and
I'm going to shoot off the cannon.
OK, great. And that's 57 damage.
(01:36:07):
What does? Let's see what does.
What was the the spell was Dissident Whispers.
Oh dissident, he can make a Wisdom saving throw and that's
ADC 17. So he's going to make this
Wisdom saving throw. He has a plus one to Wisdom
(01:36:27):
saving throws. We'll do a Tavern roll that's a
20. He saves on that extra damage,
but he gets hit by that funk andit takes him down to like less
than half that. He's definitely absolutely
bloodied by this, but it doesn'tcome so.
We'll still take half damage on that one.
(01:36:49):
Oh, he will. OK, Yeah.
So. So it'll be an extra 24, so 12
extra. Yeah, so he is so, so cannonball
fires this SOG soggy cannonball hits him and like just decks him
and it's a full cannonball and the whole entire like row of of
kids that he's holding on to. He breaks breaks the chain.
(01:37:11):
They fall into some Gogurt and start swimming up against into
the swamp. And he like, I'll make him, I'll
let him make a dexterity saving throw of flying by hit by a
cannonball. But the, the, the, the role that
he has to get on this is not really going to be Yep, not even
close. And he just like, and the
cannonball takes him and flies into the milk and he, he just
(01:37:35):
gets splashed into the milk and he is underwater hit by that
cannonball. And we are out of ship combat at
this point. As Spoonlike says, let's get,
let's get the hell away from that freak.
And you guys sail. Aren't you glad you let us
practice this? I know it's amazing.
(01:37:55):
It's so great. And you've left Peter Pancake
and the milk sinking down and cool.
So you guys sail away from PeterPancake and the Never Never ship
and the Gertland's as a whole. As you guys get back out into
the open 2% and start sailing away and everyone starts
(01:38:19):
pitching in to help, you know, bring the ship back up to
health. You know, the ship took, let's
see, 190 points of damage. So you guys start at 500 and
only got down to 310. They only were able to attack
you once because of the helmsmanrolls.
Whoever wins the helmsman roll gets to go first with their
cannon fire and so it's a huge boon to win that Helms role.
(01:38:42):
You guys did excellent. That went way better than our
our session 0 combat. I feel like we got destroyed in
the. Helmsman yeah.
So it's very, it's very swingy because it's a, it's a contested
role, very swingy. Swinging is a great word.
Almost as good as genuinality. Genuinality.
(01:39:05):
Genuinality. My favorite Mortal Kombat
finishing manoeuvre. A genuinality.
You really open up to the other character and they just decide
they don't want to fight anymore.
Their spine falls out. Chris.
You guys sail on. That was on day three of your
eight day trip. That was Tiddly's role of a
(01:39:27):
three on that D8 where you guys were encountered by that ship.
The rest of the days we need some calm luck checks to see if
anything happens. For every two days that you are
sailing, someone needs to roll AD 20 and so you have day 4567
(01:39:48):
and day 8, so 3 rolls. You want to roll more than A5 to
not have anything happen. And so let's have Tiddly's
rolled the couple of the rolls. Let's have Scott if you want to
do the first one and then Dan and then Sog.
Come on, Lady Luck. Well, she's a she's a bitch
(01:40:12):
because it's a four. It's.
A4 the next day. So the whole crew is working on
patching up the ship. Ship is patched up to back up to
full health. Scott, with that roll of a four,
I need you to roll AD 6. But I suck at rolling we just
(01:40:33):
established, so why make me do it again?
A3. Out on the out on the deck, you
hear on Ananhato. Man overboard, Man overboard.
And everyone runs out. There's a guy down there and you
can see like some ship shrapnel and there is a fruity Pebble
(01:40:56):
man, a man made out of Fruity pebbles.
And he is like, oh thank God, thank you.
Oh, a ship finally. And you can see he's just on
this like big wooden, like castaway boards with this like
makeshift sail. Huh?
I've been out here for like 2 weeks.
Nobody's out here. Thanks.
You let me up. Help.
(01:41:18):
Can you guys throw a rope down? Can I do a perception check?
Go ahead. Yeah.
Insight. Yeah.
Yeah, I would like to incite this man.
That was an 11 + a two. That's 19 for mine. 19 He looks
like his clothes have been, you know, soaked in milk.
(01:41:39):
He looks like he's been out in the sun.
He looks like he's truly been out here for a while.
You have a lot of unanswered questions just looking at him
and he and and him, you know, begging to be rescued.
But it does seem like a castawaythat needs rescued.
Do we have any shackles or anything that we can like have
him shackle his hands together before he comes aboard?
(01:42:03):
You definitely have shackles, yeah.
I mean, of course we're we're happy to rescue you, but you
must understand dangerous seeds. We can't trust every soul we
see. If you could just shackle your
hands together before we pass a rope down for you.
Role of persuasion. Oh, no.
All right, let's see 13. 13. Seeing as he doesn't have a
(01:42:31):
whole lot of other options. So yeah, I was like, all right,
yeah, no problem really. Not really dangerous down here.
And you'll, I don't don't have any swords or guns or anything,
but sure, yeah. You can't trust anybody on the
scene we do live in. A world of magic and magic users
that I know don't require swordsor guns to cause harm, but
(01:42:53):
somatic components are importantso.
That's true. Really low on somatic components
down here as well. But sure, toss me the the cuffs
there. So toss them the cuffs.
I have an amazing string. This is athletic.
Oh, and you know, it would be Dexterity.
It's a range. Yeah, it's a range thing.
(01:43:18):
Jesus Christ I got 9 on that I hold.
A2 you. Toss it makes it halfway into
the milk sinks. Ah, do we have another pair?
Yeah, yeah, I mean, anybody elsewant to try tossing one down to
it? Unless I'm the only one who
thinks it's maybe safe in a random encounter to handcuff
this guy that Kyle's just thrownat us.
(01:43:39):
Captain. 'S always like.
I'd rather not. Waste too many handcuffs we
don't have we have 4:00 we have.Captain thinks it's fine to
bring him up, then bring him on.So let's bring him up crew.
And so you throw a rope to him, he swims over and gets to it and
climbs aboard the ship and hops up.
(01:44:02):
Thanks. Thanks guys, I really appreciate
it. Honestly didn't know if I was
ever going to make it back to civilization or anything at this
point. So.
What's your name? Pete, nice to meet you.
What's your name? My name's Ed.
Great. Nice to meet you.
And nice to meet you. And he starts walking to each
(01:44:23):
one of you. And he's like, introducing
himself to each one of you. OK.
So, yeah, thanks. I'm sorry about that shackle
business, can't be too careful there.
I don't see if you so you can understand you didn't end up
lost succeed due to kindness. Oh yeah, no ship got struck by
lightning and huge storm really wiped us all out, except for me
(01:44:48):
as the only survivor there. Yeah, but I'm glad to be
rescued. Cool.
Do you guys have any food? Perhaps?
And. So what have we taken?
A long rest. You have I'm.
Guessing. OK, OK, I'm going to, I'm going
to make some good coffee like I always do, and I'll give some to
(01:45:10):
I'll, I'll give 2:00 to 2:00. General Mills 2 to SOG, 2 to
Antonia. I'll hand one to Pete and then
they're in the little blue thermoses again.
He takes it and he chugs it. He just drinks it.
Thank you so much. And just like refreshed as he
(01:45:32):
gets that whole like 24 hours ofnutrition from this One Cup of
coffee. Oh man, this is coffee.
Protein shakes you're getting? Out best part of waking up.
What can I say? I'll pull out my like flask of
milk rum and I'll go over to give it to Pete and then can I
(01:45:52):
cast a tech thought? Sure.
Yeah. So I think the tech thoughts are
some that you you get like surface thoughts.
Imagine you've been out floatingat sea in the milk and you're
like been surviving milk. And then somebody's like here,
take some milk rum. Just what I.
(01:46:15):
Want it's been sitting in a thermos for days.
Warm milk rum. So you can sense his thoughts.
Do you want to just read his surface thoughts?
Would you like to delve deeper? I'll start with just surface
thoughts. Oh, man, this coffee is this is
like amazing. This is the best coffee I've
(01:46:37):
ever had in my life. Oh my gosh, this wow, this feels
great. OK, OK, Don't screw this up.
What? Happened to you, Pete.
Right. Was hit by a storm, Big storm,
took out the crew and the ship. It was really tough.
(01:46:57):
We are, you know, transporting some apples to Honeycomb K And
yeah, the big, big storm a couple weeks ago, I've been out
in the milk kind of doing my thing.
And you can sense his like, surface thoughts are like
they're, they're a little, they're a little bit muddy.
(01:47:19):
Like he's not really giving the full truth here.
Like you can tell from just the surface thoughts that he's
coming up with it trying to think of what the best next word
is, and it doesn't seem very truthful in your mind just in
general without having to do like another insight check just
doesn't like, there's the full story.
(01:47:41):
Sure, go ahead. It's AI think it's a wisdom
saving check on your end DC-15. I'm going to roll on the Tavern
roll. OK, how long is this man going
to shake this thigh? That's a Nat 20.
(01:48:02):
Oh my. God, you you had a wall on his
mind that you can't get through at all.
Thanks, guys. Can I?
Yeah, just if you give me a minute, I would, you know, just
to collect myself and rest, but just to just to have a minute.
But I'd love to, you know, join the crew, help out whatever way
(01:48:22):
possible. If you need a deckhand or
whatever. Yeah, I'm, I'm here to, I don't,
I don't just want to be a bump on a log.
You know, Captain Spoon, like says, of course, we could always
use a helping hand. And so get this man some new
clothes and he orders someone togo grab some new clothes for him
(01:48:43):
and get some dressed. And he is part of the crew.
Could have gotten new clothes for free.
Of. Course we did tiny pinching.
Got extra clothes down to the tothe bend.
We got a disguised kid down there too.
I think if you want to, you know, have one of those, but.
Oh, yeah. OK.
Thank you. Can I can I do a detect magic on
(01:49:05):
the new guy? Oh, sure, Yeah, you can.
Yeah. Let's see.
Detect Magic. Yeah.
Yeah. So you detect magic and you
don't sense any magical items, any magical effects around him
right now, OK. Thank.
You all right? Well, if Captain says he's cool,
then the old Mills trust anyone who's part of the crew.
(01:49:25):
That's family to him now, hey? Guys, hey guys, I'm gonna sort
of like do a like an old school huddle, like a like a sport
huddle. It looks real weird on a ship.
Very, very clearly can be seen by peace.
And you're getting like your soggy milk on everybody who
you're putting your arms around,yes.
OK, good. Yeah, good.
(01:49:49):
Move. Yes.
What is it I? Don't know about this one.
I I don't think we can trust this guy.
I think we're going to keep an eye on him.
I mean, yeah, but I. His thoughts were mud.
Tricky old sock here, couldn't get through.
Wait a second, are you reading all of our thoughts all the
time? Huh.
You're not reading other people's thoughts, are you?
(01:50:11):
Oh crap. Hey hey crew.
I would. I would never pass the boundary
of crew mind only, only new folk.
New crew? Very well then.
I do think we should keep an eyeon him.
I was weird, but where are you friends?
We can't push people thinking it's fine.
So wait, give me the better visit out.
(01:50:32):
Yeah, Little. Suspicious.
Wanted to know like he said thathis crew was gone, but like,
what happened to him, like if he's the only survivor, do we
have a little bit of a, you know, a.
Cannibal. Situation going on just just
(01:50:52):
mining PS and QS. You should you suspect he's
tasted the forbidden Fruity Pebbles.
As Ed mentions cannibalism to you guys, that is like the the
cardinal sin. The worst thing that you can do
in this world is like eat your own kind or eat somebody else.
(01:51:15):
That is like higher than murder. This is like like to keep
something like cannibalism worse.
Yes. Yeah, true.
Very much like real life. It's.
Very bad to eat other people. But even worse because you're
made of food. Right, guys, They just drink
water. It's good.
(01:51:36):
We're aiming for the spit take. Well, I'll, I'll tell my pastor.
Be sure to keep their eyes open around him.
Yeah, just be mind your P's and Q's.
Rest of the day. Fucking cannibal freak on the
boat now. Goes it goes it goes by that was
(01:51:57):
the we'll call that the first day and then the second day from
that role that Scott did, you can see he's helping out with
the crew, doesn't seem to be doing anything as you guys kind
of keep an eye on him trying to learn the ropes of the ship.
Give me an all of you, give me an insight or perception check
on him. So did anybody roll higher than
(01:52:22):
like a 20 just to see? Negative.
Anybody higher roll higher than a 15?
Negative for me. Nobody.
OK, I got a. 14 No, I just. Think Pete's a real nice guy.
Like he's earned my choice. Immediately, yeah, +6 yeah, You
see that? He's helping out the crew.
(01:52:43):
He's got skills as a pirate. He's not like holding back or,
you know, he's he's, he's tryingto learn things and seems to
have some base skills about him,the seafaring skills, great
socks. Intuition was just off man.
Yeah, he's great. He's great.
He's helping around like he's dude, I'm I'm sorry for calling
(01:53:06):
him a Cannibal Pete all this time.
I'm ready when asking him to shackle himself.
What was wrong with? Me, yes.
Yeah, that's he's just Pete now.Dan, give us a luck check for
the next two days. All right.
Travel trying to get a six or higher.
That is a 16. 16 and SOG for thelast day of travel.
(01:53:28):
Let's get AD 20. Try to get a six or higher.
Am I adding anything or straightroll?
Just straight roll. 11. 11 you guys sail on to the 2% you guys
sail past. You can see Pancakeia off in the
distance with the probably the largest land mass of the bowl of
(01:53:52):
Ceramica. You can see it.
You can see those massive syrup falls just kind of like slowly
falling off the side of the of the cliffs of Pancakeia.
You continue on through the 2% and move sailing away and kind
of see some of the honeycomb K as you pass the home of the
pollen folk. And as the last day goes by and
(01:54:16):
you're kind of in the later afternoon of this day Ed, you
anticipate the return to the Java archipelago where you are
from. And you anticipate the warm air
and the dark waters that are a little more clear than most of
the other Skims in the general inviting ass atmosphere this
(01:54:36):
area of these small islands provides.
And as you sail into this area, you see the first island in the
distance and you approach. As the ship approaches, the air
hits you and doesn't feel warm. It doesn't get warmer like
usual. The air grows cool, even you
(01:54:57):
pass a small hot spring that should be steaming with inviting
coffee, but it's cold and stagnant.
The ship proceeds forward to thelargest island, the center of
the archipelago, and the city ofMO Kana comes into view.
This coastal city full of life looks dull, even sleepy.
(01:55:19):
On the side of of Mount Fulgerius is Mug Manor, a
porcelain castle carved into thecoffee ground mountain with a
large with large to go cup turrets as its corners.
The mountain above it, Mount Fulgerius, the volcano that
brings the hot life, giving coffee to the people of the
archipelago, the volcano that heats the Hot Springs and
(01:55:40):
invigorates the Venetians is cold and dormant.
Most importantly however, in theBay you see multiple yellow and
black striped ships, including the crown jewel of the Honey Nut
Trading Company, the massive bulbous man of War class ship,
(01:56:02):
the Bumblebee. That is where we are going to
end this chapter of Pirates of Ceramica.
Thank you all the players tonight, you, all of your
socials can be found in the description.
You guys are headed into this area, this Java archipelago, the
(01:56:24):
home of the Rostari and the Venetians.
What's going on with why is the Honeydot Trading Company here?
Why is the volcano cold? Find out next week.
