Seems all the news is about the federal shutdown and how bad it is. But it really isn’t. Federal workers always get their back pay, no exceptions. While the government its shutdown, it’s time off for them. Essential services never stop. Social Security payments keep flowing, Medicare and Medicaid stay operational, military stay on duty and they get back pay for any interrupted checks. Traffic controllers, TSA screeners are still there for safety. Border security and law enforcement agencies operate without the interruption. National Weather Service forecasts continue as does veteran health care. And besides, shutdowns are historically short. But I really wouldn’t mind this one goes on for quite a while. A long shutdown will show us which federal workers aren’t really needed!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
