Hey friend, welcome back toanother episode of Tea with
Tanya.
Thank you for joining me herein the Tea Tasting Room for
another episode.
I hope you have done somethingfor yourself within the last
week, because you know how we doit.
Here.
We are working on pouring it toourselves, putting ourselves
first.
I am about a week or sopost-grad and I don't know what

to do with myself.
I honestly don't.
This past week has been reallygood.
It has been overwhelming, butin a good way, and I'm still
processing it.
I'm starting to.
I think I'm just like I justprocess things late as I'm
getting older.
I don't know all, because Ihave so much things going on.
I just block out certain things.
I don't know what it is, butthis has been an amazing week.

An amazing week spending timewith family, celebrating with my
tribe.
It's just been a really amazingweek.
But today I want to talk aboutsomething that isn't always
talked about enough, at leastfor me.
What happens after the high ofthe milestone, when things get
quiet Because I just graduated?
I did the thing.
I was able to walk across thatstage, something that I've been
waiting on for at least fiveyears.

And I say that because when Igot my bachelor's of science in
public health in 2020, it was inthe middle of the heart.
We were in the trenches, honey,when it came to COVID-19.
So I had a virtual graduation.
I just saw my name on a screenand that was it.
So I told myself I was going togo all out when it came to grad
school.

So I was able to walk acrossthat stage.
I completed my MPH, my master'sin public health.
I closed a big chapter of mylife and I'm so, so proud.
I am so proud, but also I amtired and, honestly, I feel a
little lost, just a little.
So I want to talk about thatin-between season, the moment
after the applause dies down andthe question sets in now what

(02:11):
If I'm keeping it real, whichyou know I always do in the Tea
Tasting Room it's beenoverwhelming so much of my
identity over the last two yearshas been rooted in being a grad
student, in building andbalancing and giving and doing
and growing.
Now that it's done, I feel thevoid, the quiet, the ache to

(02:32):
keep going and the simultaneousneed to stop.
So here's what I'm doing.
I'm listening to that stillsmall voice that's been
whispering you need a break, youneed a break, you need a break.
So, yes, my friend, he, withTanya, will be taking a much
needed break for the next month.
Now, this is not an easy feat,but this isn't a goodbye, it's a

pause.
It's me giving myselfpermission to rest, to process,
to reflect without rushing, toremember who I am, without the
pressure of always producing,because rest isn't a reward for
burnout, my friend, it's arequirement for clarity.
I want to return to this podcast, to the tea tasting room,
renewed, restored and aligned,not just showing up to fill a

content calendar, but to poursomething meaningful into your
ears and your heart.
And when I come back, just knowI have a surprise for you.
So that's only if you lookforward to it.

All right, we're taking thingsto the next level more intention
, more storytelling, more of thewhole woman wellness that I

know you love and deserve.
So if you're listening to thisand you're also stepping into
something new, maybe it's atransition, a pivot, a quiet
reset.
I want to share a few gentlereminders for this season,
because I'm going to be.
I have it on a post-it note soI'll be able to see that
reminder daily.
The first one is it's okay tofeel the void.

The space between endings andbeginnings is sacred.
Don't rush to fill it.
Sit in it, listen to it.
Now, this is going to besomewhat hard for me because I'm
so used to having things to do.
And let me just make this clearI'm still going to have my
to-do list.
I just know that part of thatto-do list is going to be cut
into half at some point in time,but I don't want to rush into

it.
I want to be able to can sealthat void.
Sit in it, process and thenjust listen to what it's telling
me.
You know what I mean.
The second thing is rest isproductive, which we all know.
Yes, I said it Sleeping,slowing down and unplugging from
output are all valid forms ofprogress.
Okay, my friend.
And then the third one is youdon't need the next five steps.

(04:44):
You just need to breathe.
You need a space to breathe andthis is coming from the girl
that tends to write everythingdown.
I'm always thinking aboutcertain things in the future.
No, you don't need the nextfive steps, you just need a
space to breathe.
The clarity will come when youmake room for it, and I want you
to believe that.
The fourth thing is reflect.
Before you reset, ask yourselfwhat did I learn?

(05:07):
What am I letting go?
What do I want to carry forward?
That's something that I've beenleaning into and I want to take
this time to really just sitand reflect, because as I
continue to grow and evolve, youknow it's become nothing, which
is going to lead us into numberfive.
You don't have to come back thesame.
You, my friend, are allowed toevolve.
You're allowed to change yourmind.
You're allowed to come backsofter, louder, clearer or just

(05:31):
entirely reimagined.
You are because, when I thinkabout where I'm with the podcast
now, to where I started, I'veevolved so many different times
and you guys have been rockingwith me throughout the different
transition.
But again, that's because youknow what we're not meant to be
the same.
We're supposed to continue togrow and learn and do what needs
to be done when I think aboutwhat's going to be coming up in
the tea tasting room.

(05:51):
Even I'm taking this breakbecause one your girl has been
doing them all for the last twoyears like nonstop.
Nonstop Vacation is nevervacation, because the vacation
that I take for my day job isfor me to go focus on my
nonprofit stuff.
You know what I mean.
So it's never really a truevacation or a true break.
So I want to be able to embracethat this season.
Let me sit, let me reflect onthe last two years of my life.

(06:13):
What's going to happen?
So when I come back, you knowyou may meet a whole different
target.
First of all Because, again, Iam allowed to evolve, but the
work is going to be done behindthe scenes.
So I can make sure that I'mshowing up for you here to the
best of my ability.
Sprint this, that I'm showingup for you here to the best of
my ability.
This is your reminder that youdon't have to sprint into your
next season.

You don't have to rush to provethat you're ready.
You get to rest, you get topause, you get to breathe and
when you come back, do it withclarity.
Do it with intention.
Do it because you've pouredinto yourself first and I'm
going to say that last linebecause this is what I want for
us to do why we're not going tobe in the TCS for the next

couple of weeks.
