Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome, welcome, my
lovely entrepreneurs.
You're listening to TeachingMastery Academy.
Today, we're uncovering a truththat might just transform the
way you think about your digitalcourse.
Here it is If you want tocharge premium prices for your
course, you can't just slaptogether a bundle of videos and
a workbook and call it a dayNope.
(00:22):
To command those premium pricetags that we all aspire to, you
need something deeper, somethinga lot of programs and a lot of
course creators overlookentirely.
Do you know what it is?
Listen in my friends.
You need to learn how to teachNow, before you roll your eyes
(00:44):
and think but Francesca, Ialready know my stuff.
Hang tight.
Knowing your stuff and knowinghow to teach your stuff are two
very, very different things, andby the end of this episode,
you'll see exactly why Masteringthe art of teaching is the
secret source to standing out inthe saturated world online
(01:08):
courses and why knowing how tomaster the art of teaching is
going to directly affect andimprove your bottom line.
So grab a coffee, grab anotebook and let's get going.
All right, so here's the deal.
When most people decide tocreate a digital course, what's
(01:29):
the first thing they do?
Have a think about it, I'lltell you.
They start brainstormingcontent, right.
They think, okay, I know somuch about X, I'll just break it
down into a bunch of modules, throw in some videos, maybe a
downloadable PDF or two, andcall it a course.
Sound familiar and, honestly, that kind of works if you're
(01:51):
charging $47 or maybe $97 foryour course.
At that price point, peopledon't expect transformation,
they expect information.
But what happens when you'reready to level up, when you want
to charge $500, $1,000 or evenmore for your course?
That's where the game changes.
(02:13):
People paying premium pricesaren't looking for more
information, they're looking fortransformation.
They want to trust that you cantake them from where they are
right now to where they want tobe.
And here's the kickerTransformation isn't just about
what you teach.
It's about how you teach it.
(02:34):
I want you to think about thebest teachers you've ever had,
the ones who made complicatedthings click, who inspired you
and made learning feel like anadventure instead of a chore.
Did those teachers just dump apile of information on you and
call it a day?
No way.
No, of course they didn't.
They had a method.
(02:55):
They broke things down step bystep, they connected the dots
and they kept you engaged, evenwhen the material was tough.
Now let's flip that.
Think about the worst teachersyou've had.
Maybe they droned on endlessly, their explanations felt like a
foreign language, or they justdidn't seem to care whether you
(03:17):
were learning or not.
Did you retain much from thoseclasses?
Did you leave feelingtransformed?
Probably not.
This is where most coursecreators fall short.
They focus so much on whatthey're teaching that they
forget about how they'reteaching it.
And that's a huge problem,because if your learners don't
(03:41):
actually learn, your course isnever going to deliver the
results you're promising.
And if it doesn't deliver, well, you can forget about those
premium price tags, my friend.
Okay, so now that I've gotten alittle spicy about what not to
do, let's talk about why.
Great teaching is the key tocommanding those premium prices
(04:02):
that you deserve and you haveworked so hard towards.
And yes, this is where I getreally excited.
So buckle up.
Here's the thing.
Premium pricing isn't justabout throwing in extra bonuses
or making your sales page lookfancy.
It's about the perceived value.
And nothing creates perceivedvalue like delivering a seamless
, transformational learningexperience.
(04:25):
When all of those align, it's abeautiful experience for your
students.
When you know how to teach, everything about your course
improves.
It's like turning the light onin a dark room.
Your students stay engagedbecause you know how to keep
their attention.
They complete the coursebecause you've structured it in
a way that feels doable andrewarding and, most importantly,
(04:48):
they get the results they camefor because you've designed your
content around their journey, not just your expertise.
Now let me give you an example.
Imagine you're taking a courseon growing your Instagram
following.
So course A has a two-hourvideo of someone talking at you
about hashtags, algorithms,reels.
There's no structure, nostep-by-step guidance, just a
(05:12):
bit of a data dump.
Now course B, on the other hand, starts by helping you identify
your target audience, walks youthrough creating your first
reel with clear instructions, and gives you actionable
assignments after each module tobuild the momentum.
Which course to you course A orcourse B feels more valuable
(05:40):
exactly?
And that's why course B cancharge $997, while course A is
stuck in the $97 range.
Teaching isn't just an add-on toyour content.
It's what makes your contentworth paying for.
It's really shining a light onyour expertise in the most
flattering way possible, in themost premium way possible.
Now I'm not here just to wavemy arms and say you need to
(06:04):
teach better without giving yousome practical tools to get
started, I promise.
So let's break it down.
There are three core pillars ofgreat teaching okay, three, and
these are the exact pillars Iteach my students inside
teaching mastery academy.
I'll link the waitlist in theshow notes.
If you sign up to the waitlist, then you will be the first to
(06:26):
be notified when we do launch itagain this year.
But let's get back to thepillars.
So pillar one is clarity.
You can't teach effectively ifyour learners don't understand
what you're saying, and thismeans breaking down things step
by step.
That means avoiding jargon, technical language and using
(06:47):
real world examples that makeabstract concepts seem or feel
tangible.
So that that's pillar oneclarity.
The second pillar that you needis engagement.
You need to think about isengagement, so people don't
learn when they're bored period, full stop.
That's why you need to keepyour learners hooked with
(07:07):
stories, visuals, withinteractive elements and even
some humor.
Think of engagement as the gluethat holds your teaching
together.
And pillar three istransformation, and this is the
big one.
So your course isn't just acollection of lessons.
I want you to think about it asa journey.
You need to design your contentaround the transformation that
(07:29):
your students are looking for, what they want to achieve, what
obstacles are in their way?
Your job is to guide themthrough those obstacles to their
ultimate goal.
So these three pillars clarity, engagement and transformation
are the foundation of greatteaching.
Premium teaching, premiumcourses, premium prices and when
(07:52):
you build your course on thesefoundations, you're not just
creating content, you'recreating an experience, and
that's what people are willingto pay premium prices for.
So, now that you're sold on theidea of teaching mastery, how do
you actually do it?
Don't worry, I've got youcovered.
First, start with your learnersin mind.
(08:13):
What do they already know?
Where are they struggling andwhat's their ultimate goal?
Use these questions to guideevery decision that you make, my
friend, from your coursestructure to your lesson design.
Secondly, map out your learner'sjourney.
What's the first step that theyneed to take, what comes next
and how can you build momentumalong the way?
(08:35):
Remember, your course isn'tjust about dumping information.
It's about guiding yourstudents step by step to their
success.
And thirdly, you need to makeyour content interactive.
You need to be thinking aboutincluding quizzes, worksheets,
challenges or group discussionsAnything that gets your learners
involved and keeps themactively participating.
(08:58):
And we go into this in depth inTeaching Mastery Academy.
So if you sign up to TeachingMastery Academy, or TMA for
short, then all of these will beplug and play blueprints for
you to use in your own courseyou won't even have to think
about it.
And finally, we need to thinkabout feedback.
So teaching is a skill rightand, like any skill, it gets
better with practice.
So ask your students what'sworking and what's not, and use
(09:22):
that feedback to keep refiningyour course.
Think of your course as aliving breathing exercise.
It's always evolving, it'salways changing, it's always
changing, it's always growing, and the way that it can grow is
from feedback.
Okay, friends, so let's wrapthis up.

your stuff.

to create courses that not onlydeliver results but command

premium prices, and you'veworked so hard to get to this
