Conjunto legend Linda Escobar discusses her highly-anticipated Tejano album “La Revancha”, her music career over of 5 decades, helping the next generation of Conjunto musicians and much more on the Tejano Nation Podcast with Romeo.

The Alice, Texas native began her legendary career at the age of 7 with the debut hit 45 single “Frijoles Pintos” released in 1964 that received Gold record status.

Her biggest influence was her father, late Cojunto pioneer Eligio Escobar, who she now honors with El Veterano Conjunto Festival, that also awards scholarships to young musicians to continue their music education with the Eligio Escobar Scholarship Foundation.

The singer released her first Tejano album in many years with the release of “La Revancha” in June. It’s dedicated to her three children and features some of the top musicians in Tejano music.
