Thank you guys again for beinghere and big, big hugs to all of
you.
Now let me tell you a true crimestory.
Wow, do I ever have a salaciousbut very sad story for you
today?
I'm doing something differentfor this episode.

(01:40):
I'm going to cover a storythat's happening now.
This case broke about a monthago when 36-year-old Georgia mom
of three, lindsay Shiver, heralleged lover, and an alleged
would-be hitman, were arrestedon July 21 in the Bahamas.
Bahamian prosecutors chargedthem with conspiracy to commit

(02:03):
murder and offense that carriesa 30 to 60-year prison sentence.
And you will probably hear mesay alleged and allegedly way
too many times during thispodcast, but I feel like I have
to do that because these peopleare presumed innocent until

(02:25):
proven guilty in a court of law,and this case hasn't gone to
court yet, so that's why I haveto use that word so much.
Lindsay Shiver was born LindsayShirley on October 28, 1986 in
Dothan, alabama.
She will turn 37 this October.

(02:46):
By the looks of it on socialmedia, her parents appear to
still be together and she hastwo brothers.
Several websites online havenamed her family members, but
I'm not going to hear.
There's no point in doing that.
They didn't ask for thisspotlight that has been shined
on their family ever since theseevents transpired.

(03:07):
According to several newsoutlets, lindsay Shiver attended
Houston Academy, a privateschool, then went to Troy
University before moving toAuburn University.
Both are in Alabama.
In 2005, lindsay Shiver tookhome the crown at the Miss
Houston County pageant.

(03:28):
She also competed that fall inthe National Peanut Festival
pageant and she won secondrunner-up there.
She graduated from Auburn in2009 with a degree in marketing.
Lindsay's husband, robert Shiver, is 38 years old.
He attended a private schoolcalled Brookwood School in
Thomasville, georgia.
There he played baseball, basketball and football.

(03:51):
After graduating from highschool, he went to Auburn
University as a walk-on fortheir football team, the Auburn
Tigers.
Now I'm about to show you guyshow ignorant I am when it comes
to sports.
I had no idea what a walk-onmeant, so I had to look it up.
For those of you who also don'tknow what it is, I will tell

(04:12):
you what I now kind ofunderstand it to be.
A walk-on is an athlete thatbecomes part of a college sports
team and has not received anyform of athletic financial aid.
In other words, they have notbeen awarded a scholarship.
They are essentially trying outfor the team.
After that, though, robert didend up receiving a three-year

(04:32):
scholarship with the AuburnTigers when Robert was a senior
at Auburn.
A 2008 roster on the AuburnTigers website shows that
Robert's position was deepsnapper.
At that time he was 6'3 andweighed 222 pounds.
He went on to have a shortstint in the NFL, playing for

(04:53):
the Atlanta Falcons.
In 2009, he started working atSenior Life Insurance Company
and is now executive vicepresident there.
Lindsey Shirley and RobertShiver met at Auburn University
in a fitness class.
They married in March of 2010,.
So as of this year 2023, thecouple has been married for 13

(05:15):
years.
They have three young boyswhose ages are 4, 10, and 11.
The New York Post reported thatsources have said that Lindsey
Shiver started to change at somepoint.
It goes on to state that, quotethe friend suspected Shiver was
having an affair.
End.
Quote the friend said Thanks.

(05:37):
Quote from the outside lookingin, it was all perfect, but she
was bored for a long time.
Lindsay was a firecracker.
Another quote in the articlefrom Lindsay's friend says quote
she lived a double life, thisGeorgia housewife with the
lovely kids and the Bahamas badgirl.
She got caught up in somethingreally bad.

(06:00):
It's sad.
Lindsay is said to have madefrequent trips to the island of
Abaco in the Bahamas, where sheand her husband have a vacation
home or have access to avacation home.
I'm not sure if the couple ownsit or if it's owned by Robert
Shiver's family.
Seemingly, his family is prettywell off.

(06:20):
Robert Shiver's dad served asCEO of Flowers Foods, the
company that makes nature's owntasty cake, dave's killer bread
and many others.
The company is number two inpackaged bakery foods in the
United States and had nearlyfive billion dollars in sales in
2022.

(06:40):
His dad worked there for fourdecades, starting there in 1978,
and was their CEO from 2013until his retirement in 2019.
And just for reference, thecurrent CEO of Flowers Foods
makes about $6.5 million intotal compensation yearly.

(07:01):
This includes a base pay ofnearly $1 million, plus bonuses
and stocks, etc.
The Shiver's vacation home islocated on Great Gana K, one of
the smallest lease-populated Kswithin the Abaco chain of
islands.
It's in an ultra-exclusive,member's only residential
community called Bakers Bay Golfand Ocean Club.

(07:23):
Tom Brady and Michael Jordanhave homes there.
Reportedly, robert suspectedLindsay was cheating on him and
hired a private investigator totail her and track her
activities on the island in theBahamas.
Allegedly, the PI took photosof Lindsay spending time with
her 28-year-old lover, terrenceAdrian Bethel, who goes by

(07:45):
Adrian.
It's been reported that Robertconfronted Adrian Bethel and
said sarcastically to himsomething like Thanks for taking
care of my wife After learningof her affair.
It's been reported that Robertno longer allowed Lindsay access
to the home in the Bahamas orto their private jet.

(08:06):
Then, in early April of thisyear, robert filed for a divorce
from Lindsay.
He wanted the divorce ongrounds of her quote-unquote
adulterous conduct and said thatthe marriage is irrevocably
broken.
In the court filing he saidthat Lindsay was not entitled to
alimony because she wasable-bodied and able to work.

(08:26):
He cited her degree inmarketing from Auburn University
as her means to support herselffinancially.
In the civil action suit, robert Shiver requested sole
custody of their three boys, possession of their $2.5 million
seven-bedroom, seven-bath,7,800 square foot home on almost
four acres in Thomasville,Georgia, all of the home's

(08:49):
furnishings and possession ofhis vehicle.
Lindsay filed for divorce thevery next day after Robert filed
for a divorce.
Her divorce filing contendsthat the marriage is irrevocably
broken, with no hope whatsoeverfor a reconciliation.
It also states that she feelsunsafe in their home and claimed

(09:11):
that Robert has been abusive toher in front of their kids,
physically, mentally andemotionally.
She said she installed locks onthe interior doors of the home
for her protection.
The civil suit alleges thatRobert punishes her financially,
hides money from her and he cuther off from funds she uses to
run the household.

(09:31):
She said that she has quoteincurred debt beyond her means
to pay and quote and asked thather husband be made to pay them.
She also alleges that he usesthe kids to punish her by not
allowing her to talk to them andtaking them away for long
periods of time.
Lindsay said in the suit thatshe's been the children's

(09:52):
primary caregiver since theywere born.
She said she's been astay-at-home mom, has not worked
outside of the home in sometime and therefore has limited
employment opportunities.
She claimed that her affair wasduring their separation and was
quote unquote legally condonedby her husband.
On August 1, after the allegedmurder conspiracy came to light,

(10:15):
lindsay's divorce lawyer fileda motion to withdraw from the
case as her attorney.
Police body cam video surfacedonline from an incident that
occurred at the Shivers Home inGeorgia on July 16.
I'm going to play audio of thebody cam footage for you, but
since you can't see what's goingon, I'm going to explain it to
you a little bit first, thenmaybe, when you hear it, you

(10:37):
might better understand it.
City of Thomasville, georgia.
Police department officersresponded to the Shivers Home
after Lindsay called police.
The video starts out withLindsay Shiver and three
officers standing in herdriveway.
She explains to the officersthat they filed for a divorce,
but they're still living in thesame house.
She said they had travel plansto leave that morning.

(10:59):
She said she called the policebecause her husband physically
moved her away from her car andtried to unload her car of her
kids' suitcases.
An officer asked her what shewants them to do like, how she
wants the officers to help her.
The officers then wanted tospeak to Robert after they asked
Lindsay if he'd done anythingphysical to her or put his hands

(11:22):
on her.
Lindsay then repeated thatRobert had pushed her away from
her car so that he could gettheir kids' belongings from it.
They all walk closer to thehouse near the open garage doors
.
Two of the three garage doorsare open and there's a dark
colored Cadillac Escalade parkedin the middle garage door which

(11:43):
is presumably Lindsay's vehicle, and there is a white four-door
Ford truck backed up to thefirst open garage door.
Robert tells cops that for thepast three weeks Lindsay's had a
couple's trip planned with herboyfriend to go to Key West.
He said he's on the way to theBahamas with his kids.

(12:04):
He said that the day beforeLindsay had told him she changed
her plans and was now going toget on their airplane with him
and the kids and go to theBahamas.
Once in the Bahamas she wouldgo elsewhere with her boyfriend
and Robert and the kids would goto their house.
Robert said he would not allowher to get on the plane with him

(12:24):
and the kids because that wouldmess with their heads.
He goes on to say that he owns50% of an airplane and that on
paper Lindsay owns 25% of it.
He said the other person thatowns the other half of the
airplane agrees with him thatLindsay not be allowed on the
plane.
So he said that that means thatwith his 25% part ownership and

(12:47):
the other person's 50%ownership, that's 75%, that
don't want Lindsay on the plane.
Lindsay brings up the allegedpushing incident and Robert
claimed he did not push Lindsayaway from the car.
The officer explains to Robertand Lindsay that the pushing
would be an act of simpleassault.
But in this situation it's, hesaid she said, because it can't

(13:11):
be proven if it happened or not.
As Robert gets his kids'suitcases out of the back of
Lindsay's Escalade and puts themin his truck, lindsay tells
Robert she's still going.
He responds to her by sayingthat the pilot said it was too
late to put her on the plane.
Lindsay says she's got to gopick up two of her kids.
Robert comes out of the garagedoor that leads into the house

(13:34):
with a young child in his armsand puts him in his truck.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
So what's going on y'all?
Are you separated, or what'sthe deal?

Speaker 1 (13:44):
We have filed for divorce.
We're living in the same house.
It's hell on earth, as you canimagine.
But anyway, woke up thismorning.
We have travel plans to leaveand he's insisting that I don't
go.
And then I have my keys, hestarts, moves me out of the way,

(14:07):
starts trying to unload my car, tells me he ends the car, he
ends the rights to it.
Just got super aggressive andthat's when I called immediately
because he's been physicalbefore and I'm just not.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Okay.
So are you just wanting toleave, or is he supposed to be
going with you?

Speaker 1 (14:25):
Yeah, we're supposed to be going with our kids, okay,
all right.
So I don't know what I wasasking.
Just that's like what y'all cando if there's even, but of
course now he's inside acting.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I mean I don't know what it is that you want us to
do.
I mean, if y'all are have filedfor divorce and y'all are going
on a vacation, other thantelling him he needs to calm
down, I don't personallyrecommend you go on a vacation.
If together, if there's anissue like that and y'all filed
for divorce, I mean it'sobviously a hostile situation,
so is there a way that you cango without him?

(15:05):
I mean, the best thing thatwhat we're going to do is tell
y'all that y'all need toseparate.
Has he put his hands?

Speaker 1 (15:14):
on you that y'all have been physically aggressive
today, no just besides himmoving me out of the way of my
car to get to it, okay.

Speaker 3 (15:25):
What do you mean?
He moved you out of the way.
Push me out of the way so hecould get to my car and start
unloading it.
We're going to need to talk tohim then.
Temple.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Temple.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
Well, I'm sure he comes out here and decides to
show out, so I don't know what'sgoing to happen with that.
You want to know what you want, nope.
Maybe it would hurt if somebodywas almost out of sleep in that
house.
This house Before they realizedit.
Yeah, what in the hell?

(15:59):
Why are you proud for divorcingand going on vacation together?
I mean, that's not somethingthat we can work out for you?
I mean because we're going totell you to separate, okay.

(16:26):
So what's going on this morning?
So the last three weeks, maybelonger, she's had her couples
trip planned, with her boysrunning to Key West.
Okay, but she just said you'regoing, she tells, to Key West,
I'm taking my kids, my threeboys, to Bahamas, her kids, our

(16:47):
kids.
Yesterday she said in the midstof saying that she's going to
change her plans and now get onthe airplane with me and the
kids to go to Bahamas.
And we're planning she's goingto go to her boyfriend Elsewhere
and me and the kids are goingto her house.
And I told her I'm notsupporting that and you're not
getting on the airplane.

(17:07):
That can mess with the kidsheads and it's just something
I'm not going to do.
Well, I'm at 50% of theairplane.
She, on paper, owns 25 of thatand majority owner.
The other 50% owner and myselfare both in agreements to not
have her on the airplane.

Speaker 1 (17:27):
So 75% says we don't want you on the plane.
That doesn't mean you getaggressive.
Push me out of the way, startunloading my car.
Push you out of the way, yes,as a back of the car.
Okay, does he have to?
Not push you or anything.
He doesn't want me to go.
I raised the bag to grab mykids suitcases With a locked car

(17:51):
so we can leave All of this.

Speaker 3 (17:59):
Okay, I'm going to tell you both, like I told you a
minute ago, y'all are filed fordivorce.
Okay, in situations like this, the best thing that we always
recommend is y'all separate, don't just separate from each
other.
You don't need to be going onvacation together if you file
for divorce, and it's obviouslya volatile situation that I mean

(18:22):
I don't, I don't know how elseto put it other than that.
As far as the pushing andshoving, say, georgia advises
that you put your hands on eachother, that is an act of simple
assault and you can be arrestedon that for family violence.
Okay, you're saying he did,he's saying he didn't.

(18:43):
So I got, I can't, I can't, Ican't sit here.
He said, she said situation.
We run into it all the time.
So what's going to all thepeople that I know if I'm
aggressive?

Speaker 1 (18:53):
or abuse of personal.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Okay.
So here's what's going tohappen today.
I'm going to generate a reportthat we were out here and that
we may contact with the both ofyou.
I'm going to generate a reportthat states you said he
physically moved you away fromthe vehicle by pushing you away
from the vehicle.
You say I didn't do that.
I opened the back hatch of thevehicle, got two cases out.

(19:17):
She stepped in front sayingyou're not grabbing me out,
exactly, and I said that we'renot going to go back and forth.
That's how we're going to dothat.
My next I mean I can't tell hershe can't go on vacation with
you.
Okay, it's marital property, that's that I already said.
Okay, it's, it's all gonna allbe.

(19:39):
That's all gonna be civil, civil issues.
I can't stop her.
I can't say you can't go.
Wherever the heck it is, youwant to go?
I can't tell you.
You can tell that that hasnothing to do with what we're
doing here.
We're here because of acts ofviolence, to calm the situation.
That's what we're here to do.
Okay, I can't.
I can't control y'all going onvacation.

(20:03):
I don't recommend going onvacation together, but that's
just my personal.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
I mean, that's an hour on airplane Just with our
kids.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
Do you have any identification?
Okay, can I get that, please?
Do you have your ID on you?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
I do.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
Mr Shriver, what's your phone number?
221.
What was it?
7579.
Now, since, since I own thisvehicle and it's solely in my
name, it's marital propertyright now she still has access
to it.
I understand she has access toit, but can I get my kids two
cases out of her back?
Yeah, you can get yourchildren's property out of it.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
So he can get the kids stuff out of my car.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
It's marital property and I don't have any paperwork
saying that he's not allowedaccess to the children's
property.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
He's just not able to move me out of the way to get
it right.

Speaker 3 (21:00):
He said, she said oh, she'll go in, robert, so you
can take.
The pilot already says one'shere, it's too late, but you
want to know that he has to pickup the other owner after he
drops us.
So we can't be late.
So we kind of have to gothrough that.

(21:26):
Here's your ID back.
About what time this morningdid all this start?
7am, so you're supposed to begoing to the she was supposed to
be going to Key West and cancelthe proof.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Yeah, we'll go to Key West and cancel the proof.

Speaker 2 (21:44):
Well, here I text the pilot.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Everybody knew her.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Okay, he's just being extremely difficult.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Which that's nothing to freaking name.

Speaker 3 (21:59):
Okay, so are you leaving now?

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I have to go get my kids.
Okay, alright, there's two thatare in other places.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Okay, alright, like I said, my only recommendation
for you is that y'all justseparate.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
There's always just going to be a.
He's that, she's that.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
I mean you get video footage, you have surveillance
cameras, you have something thatI can look at and say yes, he
put his hands on you.
I mean, you know, we have anindependent witness that's
non-biased.
I mean, you know something?
Other statements, but right nowI have you and him and you know

(22:38):
he's saying one thing, you'resaying another, you know?
I mean, if it's this type ofsituation, y'all just need to
separate.
I mean, just don't be aroundeach other.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
If it's going to be like this, how do we do that
with three kids?

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Alright, what do you have?

Speaker 1 (22:56):
any cops.
So now I'm able to get my kidsstuff back out of the vehicle.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Okay, why are we doing this, though?
Why do you need to do that?
Well, because he's taking mykids, I'm going to go back and
so we're going to stand herewhile y'all go back and forth
moving suitcases back and forthbetween cars.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
So that's what's just happened.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
If that's what you feel like you need to do, then I
mean, then by all means do it.
But you understand it.
It's making the situation worse, and you're doing it in front
of the children.
Now I don't.
Our plans have been the samefor weeks.
I'm going to pick up our twokids.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
I just told her I was going to do that.
Let them just call me and sayyou can get it.
We'll all go get Grayson.
I can pick him up.
I just said I'm going to getGrayson.
You heard me say the pilot saidit's too late to ask and I'm
going to get.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
Grayson, where's he going Because?

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I need to get him, so I can get him, which is not.
I'm trying to take all threeboys.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
This is what I'm planning on, asking where you're
going Because I need to pickhim up and I can just be a
straight forward we're going toget you, robert.

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Where is he right now ?
Is he at Chateville's house?

Speaker 3 (24:18):
No, who's house is he at?

Speaker 1 (24:31):
What's he supposed to do?
I can pick him up on the wayout.
I'll grab you a weapon, soyou're free to go.
I'm doing what I had plannedthe other day.
This is a record of it.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
It's all Okay, wait right here.
I got to get you both casenumber Okay.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
That's about it.
For the body cam footage.
The police officer goes back toher police cruiser and gets two
pamphlets and writes the casenumber on each of them.
She then walks back up to thehouse and hands one to Lindsay.
Then she hands the other toRobert as he straps his little
boy into his car seat.
Lindsay's alleged lover, adrianBethel, is from Abaco.

(25:23):
A source told the New York Postthat, quote he's a smooth guy
and quote and quote he likes tosocialize with the tourists and
the people with second homes.
And quote in the Bahamas AdrianBethel worked as a bartender at
Grabbers Bar and Grill.
The bar is about three milesaway from Bakers Bay, the

(25:45):
exclusive members only communitywhere the shivers have their
home on the island.
The area is said to be aparadise.
It's gorgeous, laid back andpeaceful.
There are beautiful huge yachtsand magnificent homes.
Many people get around on theisland on golf carts.
Reportedly, grabbers Bar iswhere Adrian Bethel and Lindsay

(26:09):
met.
Lindsay's friend told the NewYork Post that once Robert filed
for divorce, lindsay didn'thide her affair with Adrian
Bethel.
She would openly spend timewith him and his friends.
One of Adrian Bethel's friends, the man who was to be the
alleged hitman, 29-year-oldFarron Newbold Jr, who
reportedly goes by Falo, is fromAbaco too.

(26:32):
Supposedly, he and AdrianBethel have known each other
since childhood, but beyond thatI couldn't find any more
information or details abouttheir friendship.
According to a family member ofFarron Newbold Jr and his
father that court TV reporterscaught up with in the Bahamas,
the alleged would-be hitman, farron Newbold Jr, comes from a

(26:54):
nice family and is a hard worker.
He has a good job working forBahamas' power and light.
He is reportedly an engineerand an aspiring music producer.
He also works with his father, who helps to develop the island,
which was devastated byCategory 5 hurricane Dorian in
2019.
Farron Newbold Jr's father, farron Newbold, is chief

(27:17):
counselor of the Central AbacoDistrict Council and chairman of
the Dundas Town Committee.
Allegedly, the murder conspiracyplot was uncovered when
Bahamian police wereinvestigating an unrelated
break-in at Grabbers Bar andGrill, where Adrian Bethel was a
barman at the time.
The police searched Grabbersstaff members' phones, including

(27:40):
Adrian Bethel's phone, inrelation to the break-in.
That's when they discoveredmessages and photos on WhatsApp,
which is a free instantmessaging app between Lindsay
Shiver, Adrian Bethel and FarronNewbold Jr, allegedly
discussing killing Robert Shiver.
Lindsay allegedly sent picturesof her estranged husband Robert

(28:01):
to Farron Newbold Jr along withthe words, quote unquote kill
him.
That text was allegedly sent onJuly 16,.
The same day the police went toLindsay and Robert's home in
Georgia and it was captured onthe police body cam.
According to the Daily Mail, during a police interview

(28:24):
Lindsay admitted to sending themessages and photos.
Later she claimed she was justventing to her friends and was
not serious about having herhusband murdered.
Robert was alerted by theBahamian police of the murder
plot.
He flew back to the UnitedStates shortly thereafter,
probably out of fear for his andhis kids' lives.

(28:46):
Lindsay is currently out on bail.
She's required by the court towear a GPS ankle monitor and has
to abide by a curfew.
The New York Post stated thatshe's rented a Kia sedan to use
locally and, according to CourtTV, lindsay has leased a
property on Cable Beach inNassau on New Providence Island.
She can leave her residence at6 am and must be back in before

(29:10):
8 pm.
She's required to stay in theBahamas and check in at the
Cable Beach police station threetimes a week on Mondays,
wednesdays and Fridays between 9am and 6 pm.
Adrian Bethel and Farron NewboldJr were released on $20,000
bond each.
They must also wear anklemonitors, abide by a curfew and

(29:33):
check in three times weekly.
Their check-in location is theCentral Police Station in Nassau
on New Providence Island.
Further conditions of theirbond release include that the
three defendants cannot interactwith one another.
They cannot talk to anywitnesses or potential witnesses
in this case, they areprohibited from making contact

(29:53):
with Robert Shiver and cannot gowithin 100 feet of him.
Lindsay cannot talk to herchildren.
The defendants cannot travel.
They must stay in Nassau.
They had to surrender theirpassports.
All three suspects have beencharged together as
co-conspirators and share thesame attorney.
Adrian Bethel broke his silenceupon his release on bond and

(30:16):
told Daily Mail that the textmessages exchanged by Lindsay,
farron, newbold Jr and himselfwere blown out of proportion by
the police.
He said he believes that thecharges will be dropped.
He also declared his love forLindsay Shiver.
Before Lindsay Shiver wasreleased on bail, she was held
in the notorious Fox Hill prison.

(30:37):
Reportedly, she wore a gold, diamond studded Cartier love
bracelet worth thousands ofdollars while incarcerated
because guards couldn't find away to remove it.
Apparently, the love braceletshave to be taken off with a
screwdriver.
It was initially reported thatLindsay's husband, robert,
posted her $100,000 bail to gether out, but later Court TV

(31:01):
reported that he did not posther bail.
However, robert did agree toher release with prosecutors.
Lindsay's family wired themoney to her Bahamian attorney
after she was able to secure alease to rent a place in the
Bahamas because it was arequirement of her release that
she remain in the Bahamas.
Upon her release, lindsay toldthe New York Post quote I really

(31:22):
can't say too much right now.
It's been hard, but I can'tspeak about it, presumably about
the key as she's rented.
She said quote now I'm havingissues with my car.
I have to deal with that now ontop of everything else, but I
really can't say anything more.
I'm sorry.
Thank you for being respectfuland quote.

(31:43):
The Fox Hill prison in Nassau, where Lindsey was held for about
20 or so days, is run by theBahamas Department of
Correctional Services.
The prison is located on theeast side of New Providence
Island in Nassau and is knownfor its very harsh conditions,
at least for the male inmates.
In a 2021 Human Rights Reporton the Prison, it states that

(32:05):
the prison was overcrowded andinmates had poor nutrition.
There was inadequate sanitationand inadequate medical care.
Maximum security cells for menwere 6 feet by 10 feet and held
up to 6 prisoners.
There were no mattresses ortoilets in the cells.
Buckets were used for humanwaste.
The cells were infested withrats, maggots and insects.

(32:28):
There is a separate area forwomen at the prison, which is
where I'm assuming that Lindseywas held.
While at Fox Hill, the femalecampus averages around 40 female
prisoners, according to thesame 2021 report Quote, the
women's facilities weregenerally more comfortable, with
dormitory-style quarters andadequate bathrooms.

(32:49):
Court TV correspondent MattJohnson, who has been present in
court during the threedefendants' recent court
hearings, has reported thatLindsey, adrian Bethel and
Farron Newbold Jr sit togetherin a cordoned-off area, sort of
a box with bars.
I looked that up and discoveredthat it's called a dock and
it's the reserved seating areaexclusively reserved for

(33:11):
criminal defendants in theBritish Commonwealth and many
other countries.
Court TV's Matt Johnson saidthat at one hearing, farron
Newbold Jr, who was wearing aface mask like a COVID mask,
lowered his mask, looked towardthe media seated in the gallery
and asked them who they werewith and where they were from.
Presumably he was curious aboutthe international reporting

(33:34):
being done on the case.
Matt Johnson also said thatLindsey and Adrian Bethel were
looking into each other's eyesand touching each other at times
.
Lindsey was giggling and thatjust baffled me.
I don't understand how thatmakes any sense, being that the
three defendants aren't evensupposed to communicate with one

(33:54):
another.
During another court appearance, lindsey and her alleged lover,
adrian Bethel, were talking incourt and it was getting rather
quote unquote steamy.
According to Court TV's MattJohnson, he also said that
Farron Newbold Jr did not seemto want to talk with them or
interact with them.
The trio's next court date isOctober 5th.

(34:20):
Lindsey's grandpa told the NewYork Post that he was quote
unquote sad, shocked anddisappointed when he learned
Lindsey had been arrested in amurder for hire plot against
Robert.
He went on to say quote it justtore us up.
It's just a shame, a cry andshame for Robert and the kids
and everyone else.

(34:41):
It's hard to believe becausethey're such a fine couple and a
fine family.
I know Lindsey or I thought Idid, and I don't know what could
have happened, but somethinghappened.
I don't know if she lost hermind or what, I don't know.
End quote.
He said Robert was a quoteunquote good fellow and that he
never witnessed any signs ofdomestic abuse.
