A fight for life in the Canadian wilderness.

Colin Dowler spent his whole life looking at the mountain named after his grandfather. Finally, at the age of 45, he decided to climb it. What should have been a two-day hike turned into a fight for his life when he encountered a massive grizzly bear. It took an extraordinary sequence of events to save his life.

We also talk with Dr. Matt Levy with the American Red Cross about the things that had to line up for Colin to survive and what you can do to help someone who needs blood.

WARNING: This episode describes a graphic and violent attack that may be disturbing to some listeners.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
