Jack Draper fell to a red-hot drop shotting maestro Alexander Bublik to bring his campaign to an abrupt end whilst Cam Norrie failed to match his Geneva performance with a straight sets defeat to Novak Djokovic who won his 100th (!) singles match at the French Open.
Elsewhere, Iga Swiatek brought herself back from the brink with a hard thought three set win over Elenea Rybakina. Does it prove she is still the Queen of Clay or are there bigger tests to come? And in one of the stories so far, French wildcard No. 361 ranked Lois Boisson pulled off a stunning upset over Jessica Pegula to book her spot in the quarterfinals versus Mirra Andreeva. Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka also cruised through once again without dropping a set. Joel and Kim also give a midway Collect a Set update and it’s a historic moment but not for the right reasons…
