Real estate has historically been an avenue to secure generational wealth, however, there are few fields that are more underrepresented by people of color than real estate development. So with new development popping up in historically underserved communities every year, as a Black person working to build generational wealth of your own through real estate is it possible to also build your community up while doing so?
In Episode 4 of The 11Eleven the team talks with prominent real estate developer, Chris Mfume, to talk about how he built his business from the ground up by betting on himself, how to break into such an underrepresented field as a statistical outsider and how investing in your community can be both lucrative AND impactful.
