Nick Daugherty began his career with the Grand Prairie Police Department in 2003. In 2012 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. He semi-retired in August of 2017 and continues to serve as a reserve officer for GPPD.
Early in his career, Nick did a lot of irresponsible things with money. He started piling up debt, and before you know it, he was just flat out tired: tired of being debt and tired of being in the overtime cyle.
Thankfully, Nick ran across a dude named Dave Ramsey and became an avid listener of his radio show. Before ya know it, his overtime checks weren't being used to pay the stupid tax. They were being used to pay off a boatload of debt.
In 2012 he created a revolutionary financial wellness class for GPPD, "Building Financial Strength in First Responder Families" that has been taught to over 10,000 first responders nationally.
