David is a Ph.D. student in Fire and Emergency Management at Oklahoma State University.
David focuses his studies on how to improve things like resilience, decision making, culture, and leadership within the fire service.
While working on his Master's degree, he had the opportunity to work with the IAFC. He noticed that the literature and research on organizational excellence and culture within the fire service were way behind.
Currently, he is studying the impact of stressors on firefighters and how we cope with them.
