(00:05):
Welcome back to another episode ofthe micro podcast on podcasting.
I am your host, Christine Blosdale.
I'm a motivational multimediacoach, as well as a podcaster.
I have two of them and today we'regonna be talking about something.
I think that's really important.
And this is how you can avoid burnout.
Now when you first started yourpodcast, maybe you were very excited.

(00:27):
You told all your family and your friendsand everybody under the sun, that you had
a new podcast show, and that gave you somuch energy to create programs and to edit
and to get them out there to promote them.
But maybe after a few weeks ormonths, Or maybe even a year, you
may find yourself wondering whoexactly is listening to your show.

(00:50):
Why is it not like on the top 100?
Well that's okay.
Because for most podcasters, this burnout, this feeling of I'm just not good enough.
Maybe a little bit of the impostersyndrome that comes up a lot.
And I'm here to tell you thisis something, this is a long.
This is not something that if youjump into podcasting that you're

(01:11):
gonna start reaping magical rewards.
You know, in a few weeks, you're notgonna be able to earn massive amounts
of money, unless you're some typeof major star or celebrity, but this
isn't what's important is that eachand every episode that you put out, I
want you to think about it this way.
You never know who.

(01:31):
Is listening to you or in thecase of doing a podcast, the
video version of your podcast, you never know who's watching you.
It's the same.
As with this video, I produce these, Iput them out there and I don't really
know who is watching, but you never knowwho you actually are gonna be touching.
You never know who lifeyou might be changing.

(01:52):
So if you have.
Podcast show that is motivational orinspirational, or just darn funny.
You never know who is gonnaactually catch that show and
how you may impact their lives.
This is something that I work with, mycoaching clients on and helping them
get away from that burnout feeling issomething that is really, really important

(02:15):
because it's far too easy to give up.
It's far too easy to do a fewepisodes and then call it quit.
As a matter of fact, did youknow that most podcasts don't
last past seven episodes?
That's right.
Most beginner podcasters only do a fewepisodes and then they bail because they
haven't seen a magical result right away.

(02:35):
Again, this is a long game.
So if you take anything away fromtoday's show, I want you to know
that there are people out there thatwant your content, they need your
content and they can relate to you.
So I'm just here toinspire you to keep going.
Yes, keep going.
It may take a while, but youwill eventually reach those

(02:55):
people that you need to reach.
And here's a quick tip.
Don't just put it out on apple podcastand Spotify and hope that people are
gonna listen to you or find you getit out there in your social media.
Take small clips from your podcastand put it out there on TikTok,
Instagram, Facebook reels, those typeof platforms to bring an audience.

(03:16):
To you, it's your job to create greatcontent for your podcast, but it's also
your job to market your podcast andto let people know how great you are.
All right.
That's it for today.
Thank you so much for tuninginto another episode of the
