Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome back to the A-List podcast with Allison and
Alex.
I'm Allison.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
I'm Alex and I'm wearing a stupid Apple watch.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Oh my goodness, he's on his fitness game right now
and he's so mad that he has towear an Apple watch.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
I hate this so much.
I think watches are anunattractive accessory and I
laugh at people that buyexpensive watches and think that
they look good Sorry.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
You mean any like a rolly?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Any watch, don't care .
That is why, when I was datingthat guy in the first of the
year, and like he cared aboutRolexes so much, and I was just
looking at him wearing them andbeing like you're ugly, so ugly.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
I don't feel that.
I think that a watch looks niceon an arm with, you know, some
nice muscular veins or like sosexy when they take it off and
there's a tan line.
Okay, I have a bad tan line andI don't love that about it, but

(01:08):
I do like a stylish watch Iunfortunately just have to wear
this.
I don't think the apple watchis particularly attractive, nor
does it look good.
Yeah, I don't think they'recute when it's a lot of colors
happening.
That does give.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I'm not a fan.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
That it's like young.
It looks young to me, but ifit's, sleek and one thing, then
I'm fine with it.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
If watches are your thing, cool.
But just know that if you weara watch around me, your
attractiveness level does godown a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
But do you like the stats you're getting?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
yeah, the information makes this worth it.
But every time I catch aglimpse I was telling allison I
was taking some selfies and Iwas like, oh cute.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
And then I just all I see is an apple watch and I'm
like I hate it so much and Ithink there's such an
unattractive accessory I do knowthat you hate it, but I think
that the people looking at thephoto of you are not don't care
about your watch, and they'relooking at you being like oh,
he's cute.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You know what?
I'd like to challenge this zone, this thing inside of me, and
I'm going to seek out someonewho is attractive with the watch
on.
I'm going to look for it.
I'm gonna be like, oh, thatgirl or that man looks woman
sorry, woman or man looksattractive wearing that watch.
I'm going to actually like withthe intention of finding that.
I want to find that.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I want that for you too, because it's a burden that
I feel it's a hard.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
It's a hard one is unnecessary to.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
I want to be clear make your pool smaller.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
I don't think it makes someone ugly, I think it's
an.
I think it's an unattractiveaccessory, so when I'm like
looking someone up and down, itdoes take points off to see a
watch on a wrist.
What's the most attractiveaccessory, a chain like this.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
A chain.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I like when girls have stacks of rings and like
loose bracelets.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
I like a lot of rings too, but only when my nails are
done, like I tried to put on abunch of rings the other day
with my.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I'm taking a break on acrylics right now, guys, in my
head I pictured nails, soyou're right.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yeah, I'm taking a break from acrylics right now,
and my fingernails are just barebones, if you will.
I don't even have any polish onthem, because I just like want
them to feel the oxygen and Itried to put on.
I was going out somewhere and Itried to put on all my normal
rings and I was like my fingerslook so stuffy and stupid.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You want to draw attention to them off, yeah but
I think rings and banglebracelets, bangles, bracelets on
, maybe, but on dudes I like achain I like a chain, but I tell
you if, if they go like thisand I see this, I'm like oh kind
of, cancels out the chain.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
I like a man with an earring too.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I kind of like I wear the accessories I like to see
on other guys.
I guess that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
Be the light you wish to see in the world Facts.
Well, I am sorry that that's aburden for you, because I truly
do not think of it.
Or I'm like, oh, I like thatperson's arm and that draws me
to look at their arms, so I'mlike it's fine, that's true and
you know, a really nice watch.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
I don't know you know what I wouldn't know?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
the difference between a like watch from h&m
versus a rolex.
That's so sad and I'm sure if Igot up close and there was
diamonds in it, whatever, thenmaybe I'd be like okay, this is
clearly an expensive watch, butit could be a watch from Macy's
for all I care and like whatever, that's the point.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
Well, also, it just looks bad anyway.
But I will say, like, speakingof the reason I have to wear
this, my fitness journey.
It's been two weeks.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
I have gained 12 pounds Work, that is.
If that doesn't tell you howlittle, I was eating.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
I mean, I lived with you.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I also, though, have lost a quarter of an inch around
my waist, so it's clearlycoming in as muscle.
Yeah, are you?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
when you weigh yourself, does your um scale
have like other information, like lean body mass or whatever?
Is that something you aresupposed to?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
look at that?
Oh like, like lean body mass orwhatever.
Is that something you aresupposed to look at that?

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Oh like they don't, he doesn't want me for my mental
.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
He doesn't want me to look at that, so I'm just
weighing to get my weight.
And then I have a body tapemeasure.
I was showing you that I do allmeasurements of all my body
parts.
Yeah, all of them Every twoweeks.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Well, that's very good.
And you said your was biggerlast time.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, that has grown an inch and a half.
That's kind of insane.
An inch is kind of crazy, yeah,so I and so I take photos every
two weeks, which I hate, oh, Ihave to tell you this.
So every sunday, he sends me avideo recapping my recap.
So on sundays sorry, on sundaysI have an extensive format to
fill out every Sunday about mymental health, about what worked
this week, what didn't, whatdid I like, about the workouts I

(05:47):
was given, whatever extensive, and then he reviews it and
records himself reviewing it, sothat he can talk to me about
each thing.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Oh, okay.
So, he'll go okay.
Point one you said you didn'tlike eating this broccoli, and
it really was gross to you.
And so, in my opinion, let'skick the broccoli, let's eat
something else that's green withsome fiber.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
He'll adapt my plan, he'll give me some encouragement
, he'll explain something.
Whatever it is Right.
So when he gets to the section, there's a section that's like
do you feel like you see adifference in week one to week?
Oh, I guess this is week three.
One, one, two.
You only take photos every twoweeks.
So, yeah, it's been.

(06:27):
I took them at the beginning.
Now it's been two weeks I tookthem again.
Yeah, math, um.
And there's a section that'slike do you see the difference
in your photos between the firstweek and now?
And I said no because I waslike I don't really see a
difference.
I can definitely feel it andlike, I feel like when I look at
myself in the mirror I can seeit, but in the photos I don't
see it reflected.
Right, okay?

Speaker 1 (06:41):
so I did not know.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
First of, all I don't see reflected Right, okay, so I
did not know.
First of all, I don't want tobe looking at myself like that.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
Oh no, I would take the picture and immediately send
it.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I have to like sit in silence for a minute afterward,
because it's just veryvulnerable.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
And he pulls them up and he had put them side by side
.
So the first week's front sideand back.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
And it was side and back, yeah, and was like
circling to show me where therewas a nightmare, but like.
So, first of all, I'm sweating, yeah this is like I hate this
so much, yeah.
But, as he's pointing out, Iwas like, oh yeah, my body
dysmorphia didn't even noticethat.
They're like, my posture istotally different.
That like my back has you seemuscles for the first time.
I just was like, no, I don'twant to look at this um well,
that's cool.
So the journey has been good andI just can't believe how much
food I have to eat every day.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
Yeah, it's tough when you have to eat so much protein
that well, here's what happened.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
So I use my fitness pal to track everything.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Are you paying for it , cause they're kind of annoying
now.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
I want to be able to like add in meals.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, it's annoying.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
That used to not be like that.
It's annoying, but it is.
It is good for me to like havevisual comprehension when it
comes to what I'm eating.
Yeah, so something I I told himfrom the beginning I was like,
look, the reason I always failin these things is because
people think that it's so easyto understand nutrition, and I'm
sorry, it's not for me.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
I can give you a comprehensive film budget and
hire everyone needed and executethat shit flawlessly.
But I cannot understand whenyou say oh, you've got 3% of
protein left in your day to eatFinish.
What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
Make the macros and micros and all that bullshit
make sense to me.
So hold my hand through thisprocess of which he's doing.
I told you his name's Alex, right, so it is funny to hear us
both talk.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
But he's like British or something.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
He's British Alex.
I didn't remember, but to hearus both talk, but he's like
British or something.
He's British and it's Alex.
If you ever watch this and Ihope you don't he has such a
thick British accent that I haveto be like one more time.
Come again, mate.

Speaker 1 (08:34):
Not me.
That's what he says so comeagain, mate, um anyway.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
so I was like this last week.
He was like what was thebiggest challenge?
I was like I still not eatingthe calories that I need, like
it is impossible for me to get.
Every time I'm close I end up Ibox and then I have to make up
for those calories.
Whatever, do you still have theSoylent?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
So I was like wow, my nutritionist.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
I was like what about meal replacement shakes?
Not as a replacement, but andif I'm not hitting it?
He was like literally, doanything you need to.
You need to be hitting yourcalorie count Like he's.
It's the point where he's notbeing mean, but he's like this
is the point.

Speaker 1 (09:10):
Figure it out.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
You need to get there .

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:12):
I've given you.
He's given me such acomprehensive meal plan that
there is no reason I can't getthere.
It's just I'm like, but dude.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
I'm stuffed.
I'm stuffed, I feel like I'mhuge and I'm going to throw up,
and then I'm like a thousandmore calories and I have four
hours A thousand.
I have four hours.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
If you don't mind me asking how many calories are you
trying?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
to eat.
I'm supposed to be consuming2,600.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
But then with my workouts every day, I'm counting
against that.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah, so it's not like I feel like when you're
trying to lose weight, you needtrying to lose weight, you need
to be in a deficit, yeah.
And so when you work out, likeif you use my fitness pal or
another one, say your your umcalories for the day are 1800,
yeah, and you do a workout andyou burn 400 calories, some
people would see that as, oh, Ihave 400 calories to eat, which,

(09:59):
like I guess, in theory wouldstill put you at the 1800, but
you really aren't supposed to dothat.
It's like that.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
If you're losing, trying to lose weight.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
So you're trying to gain weight and muscle and
weight.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
So I have to meet that goal.

Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, that's pretty terrible.
So today at the gym.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I burnt 888 calories doing my lifting, and so I come
home like ready to make my lunch, and it's like you have 3000
calories to go and I was like Ican't.
So anyway, I was like but whatwas throwing me all week?
The reason I also couldn't getthere is because I'd opened my
fitness pal and it would say youhave 800 calories to go and

(10:38):
like six grams of protein.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
But I was over on my fat and I was over on my carbs,
and so I was like what am Isupposed to do?
What can I eat here?

Speaker 2 (10:46):
so so I explained that to him.
He was like mate, mate, mate, mate.
No, this is what I'm trying totell you.
Stop looking at that.
All you have to do is get yourprotein and get your calories.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Look at those worry about the protein, worry about
the don't even look at the fatcontent.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Don't look at anything else.
I want you to hit your proteins.
I want you to calories everynight.
Okay, I was like bet.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
I can absolutely do that.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Because then you can have your peanut butter.
Yes, yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:10):
And so then we talked about Soylent and he was like
let me look into it.
And he did, and he was likeokay definitely not as a
replacement, but you can do.
I went to my bi-monthly trip toWalmart in Santa.
Clarita after we went to thatevent on Sunday, and they carry
Soylent, which has changed theirname to Complete Protein.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
Oh T which is good.
I wonder what happened.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
Because Soylent, what a terrible name to use.
Based off the movie and thebook.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Do you think they got bought though?

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I don't know Well.
So the boxes are new and theysay Complete Protein.
The bottle still says Soylent,so I think they're in the middle
of a transition.

Speaker 1 (11:43):
Yeah, they've got to use them up.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
But they've added a ton more flavors and they've
added two levels, so there'ssome that have 18 grams of
protein and some that have 30.
So I got the 30 grams ofprotein, cause it's usually that
I'm needing to get.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Do you think that you would like?
Are you?
I can't remember.
Are you a sweet treat guy?

Speaker 2 (11:59):
As long as I can have a chocolate chip cookie.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
Yeah, you wouldn't be one of those people who makes
the like yogurt bowl at the endof the night with like so my
plan is to get there.
Yeah, you know how people onTikTok, yeah, yeah, they like
freeze it and make the bark Likethey do all the fun things.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Yeah, If you had it in a decree you could have so
much ice cream.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I just I don't think so I think there's lots of
people who are trying to do oneor the other.
That's true.

Speaker 2 (12:29):
It's taken me a long time to get here and I'm I've,
I'm in the best shape of my lifeand I'm 35, so it's like that's
wild that it took me this long.
Yeah, but anyway, the goal wehave right now is that, because,
because of my disordered eatingpast and the fact that it's
hard for me to eat, I'm justhe's.
He's built me hyper fixationmeals.
So it's like this week you'rehaving this every day for lunch
it is yeah um, and wepre-talking throughout the week

(12:51):
like if I knew, like I knew Iwas going out with you guys on
sunday, so he left me some likecaloric whatever to have a meal
out, which was the tacos we got.
It all works out great, but thegoal is for me to be so
comfortable with understandinghow food works with me that I
can do things like make my owndesserts and make a healthy
alternative to this, becausethat's what I want to be able to

(13:12):
do ultimately, but it's justlike I have to get through this
hump of like reallyunderstanding and feeling the
difference.
He was like you need to get toa point where you feel what it's
like to have enough food, causeI've I just don't.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Do you remember, like when they talked about Taylor
Lautner or um Hugh Jackman?
Like when they were getting sojacked for their movies, like
they are just carrying aroundmeat?
And they're like it's the worstthing in the world to just like
, have to just eat.

Speaker 2 (13:39):
My first memory was Tobey.
Maguire when he did.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Spider-Man, he was like.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
I remember hearing an interview where he was like I
can't do it of me.
I had to eat.
It's wild, but you should seemy meal prep.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Yeah, I'm proud of you for that three pounds of
ground beef, two pounds ofturkey and like hundreds of
chicken breasts hundreds I meanit was I would get really sick
of that I think that for me Iwould have to be like I want the
opposite of hyper fixation withbeing able to, you know, not
have to cook every single meal, because I'm not good at when I

(14:15):
meal prep things by like the endof day two.
I'm like this is disgusting tome.
I don't want to eat thisanymore.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
The goal is for me to get to that point, cause right
now I like I find a lot of joyin just being like I don't have
to think about it.
It's this it's like putting ona black shirt every day which is
really great.
So I will say it's a journey.
You guys, I'm excited to be onit.
Speedo season's coming.
Look out for my photos in July.

Speaker 1 (14:35):
Thanks, oh, we will.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
And Well, we went to an event together on Sunday.
That was fun.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
We did.
We went to a little farmer'smarket.

Speaker 2 (14:47):
Our friend Ashley, who's also on the Lucille's
Balls dodgeball team this season.
She hosts these events and wewent to it and with our friends
Angela, as you know, we went tothe event and then we got some
tacos at Dos Madres, which I'venever been.

Speaker 1 (15:04):
Two madres, not I've never been to madre not two
mothers, your mother, yourmother, I've never been.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I actually had never been there either, and I have
always heard people like listthat as a thing, that's like in
that area, so cheap yeah Iactually the tacos were 250
street tacos and they were suchgood street tacos and the guac
was really good.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
That was what eleven dollars and it was a good amount
if it was just two people likean eleven dollar thing to split
of guac and a couple cocktailstreet tacos and a margarita.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yeah, that's.
It's like a great meal.

Speaker 1 (15:37):
If I lived right there, that would be a sick spot
.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
It's my next spot.
I'm taking someone for surework.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
You can take me if you want, I'm taking you girl.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Hell yeah, oh, that was I don't.
I don't know what I did.
You guys, I'm taking someonefor sure.
Work, you can take me if youwant, I'm taking you girl hell
yeah oh, that was I don't, Idon't know what I did.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
You guys, I'm not gonna lie to you today.
I haven't even told you this.
I am, I've spiraled about whatlast night and today.
I'm just in one of thoseemotional, hormonal, emotional
times.
Where I am, it is, the weightof the world is on my shoulders.
I am everyone hates me Like Iam the most annoying person in

(16:12):
the world, like every littlething I'm analyzing.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
And we're going to Disney this week.
Yeah, I'll kick it out of you.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Yeah, I mean, hopefully my um lady time will
be over by then.
Oh yeah, and I feel like that'sa part of it well, let me jog
your memory because I think oncea month I go through this.
Where I literally cried thismorning it was.
I cried and then I saw thepillow of macy.

(16:43):
That's like whenever, wheneveryou miss me, hug, hug this
pillow and remind me.
And it has this picture of her.
That is so cute and I literallybawled my eyes out this morning
.
I'm going to cry right now.
No, um, with that pillow.
And I was just today I did goto yoga and I was like setting
my intention of like lettinganxiety, trying to let anxiety

(17:07):
go and, um, not making up falserealities, because that's what I
do, it's hard, it's hard,that's, it's challenging, for
sure and like everything, todaywas also every like piece of
content I have consumed today, with the exception of I was

(17:27):
watching josh peck yeah, so yeahhe had jay shetty on his
podcast.
Do you know who that is?
No, he is um.
He's a youtuber, like socialmedia person, but he and he's
like humongous, like I don'tknow how you haven't ever heard
of him.
To be really, really honest, because he has so many followers
.
He used to be a monk.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
And he's not anymore, but he still practices Is he
still a.
Buddhist, he might be Hindu ohokay.
Unsure about his exact religion, so don't come for me, because
he was a monk in a couple places, but mostly India.
So I do think Hindu, but unsure, that's not the point.

(18:10):
He's so well spoken and he wastalking on their podcast about
like the practices of, likeletting go certain emotions and
stuff and that actually wasreally nice, like while I was
taking my shower and gettingready to come here and then
driving here.
that was a positive thing, butevery other piece of content
that I had consumed today hasbeen negative and reiterating

(18:34):
reiterating the negative thingsthat I'm feeling and about just
like everything has beennegative today and so that has
not helped.
I don't know if it's justbecause I am feeling negatively
that I'm those things like I'mjust noticing them, because
that's another thing.
Jay was talking about frequency, something phenomenon where,

(18:55):
like, if you, if you think of ared car, or if you're like I'm
gonna, I'm gonna buy a red car, then you only see red cars
driving that type of thing.
I don't know if it's becauseI'm in a negative headspace
today that everything I'mconsuming is also negative, yeah
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
So I've had um pretty bad bidet emotionally and
mentally it's so funny to hearnot funny, but it is like when
you're to hear, hear this, andthen to know that I didn't know
this, but then I'm just sendingyou voice notes or they're like.
So, anyway, what time do youwant to?

Speaker 1 (19:29):
leave for Disney on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (19:30):
No.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
I mean you're the world.
The day can't stop just becausebut I mean yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
I'm really sorry.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
So that brings my like eyes are watering.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
I'm going to move on, but Well, I can remind you of
your week.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Yeah, I don't know what else I did.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
You Okay.
So, as you guys know, she playsdodgeball on Tuesdays.
I play dodgeball on Wednesdays.
Did you win your game?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
We tied.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Good for you.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Honestly, yeah, because like it was another hard
one.
Yeah, you know the guy that weplayed and he is insane.
Yeah, and um, we, we tied, andthen that put us right, smack
dab in the middle of thetournament.
Okay so we're probably gonnahave to play like one of the
best people, I would assume.

(20:18):
It depends on what style ofbracket they do.
Okay, but we, we are literallysix out of 12.
Wow, which isn't the worst, which is what I thought we were
going to be when I first myfirst game playing we lost our
first game.

Speaker 2 (20:34):
We only had 13 players, so we were a little
disadvantaged, but um, I alreadytold you this, but this was the
first time we experienced theother team cheating getting
caught and then they had to payfor it.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Tell them about this.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
So this team we were playing wait, you guys, sports
corner, sports corner, um, brief, sports corner.
Uh, the other team we wereplaying, um, they were, we were
pretty evenly matched in skill,I would say, but they had two
like like two really reallystrong arms, that we have a lot
of strong arms, but we didn'thave Ryan Steve-O Sass this past
week.
Yes, so it's really justMichael, jack, freddie and

(21:13):
myself carrying it with the arms.
Yeah, and am I missing someonethat has a good arm?
No, everyone's a great player,sorry.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
Just like, anyway, forceful throws.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
First of all, I gotta tell you guys and I'm gonna do
it to camera for you watching athome, because so you can
experience this, because I'vealready done it to allison the
team captains at the start of agame, they come to the middle
and you do ram, sham.
What's it called?

Speaker 1 (21:36):
sham, ram, blam well, you were about to say
rochambeau, which is insane.
It's a rock paper scissors.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Thank you, thank you.
It's rock paper scissors.
We are from Indiana.
But they always say Rochambeau.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
No, it's not that.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
You introduce yourselves.
You do rock paper scissors.
The winner gets to choose ifthey want to have balls or which
side of the court this bitchknows.
I walked up to her and I waslike hey, I'm Alex Guys.
She looks me up and down likethis.
She goes, I'm nasty and doesn'tshake my hand.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
That is a movie.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
I was like oh, I went oh okay, and she went, yeah
girl.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
You didn't tell me that part.
I wish you would have been likeit's made up some name for
yourself in the moment.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
But I was not expecting that.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, that's a shocking thing to hear.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
So anyway, she wins the Rochambeau.
And here's how you know ifsomeone knows this court,
because when you win you chooseside, not balls, because that
yeah, gym is so well, you wereat the side with the net.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Yes, yeah because the other side it doesn't matter
right.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
So it's like, if you want, you want to start on the
shitty side, because when thebecause halfway through the game
, you switch sides so whenyou're more tired, you want to
be on the side where the ballsbounce back to you.
And when she said, oh, we'repicking side, we picked this
side, I was like, oh, she'snasty.
Now here's why I told you guysabout Nasty.
So Nasty was their star playerand they protected her at all

(22:57):
costs.
Like there were fucking therewas.
Like the people knew.
They were like, oh, I'm dyingfirst.
Then she has her Kings guard.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
And then literally, and that's what happened in my
game too.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
And it was like they would move in the in unison.
So the goal became to get nastyout.
However, we would get her outnow and we were losing.
Like they were up three.
We had one and nasty was thethird to get out in that.
In a game that we were playingand then someone on their team
caught one of balls, and whenyou catch a ball, someone on the

(23:30):
opposing team gets to bringsomeone back On your team.
If you catch a ball, someone onyour team gets to get back in
the game and the ref who is Ialways forget.
Nope, marcel Markel, who we love, saw Nasty uh, mar, marcel.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Oh, Markel.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Markel, who we love saw.
Nasty Markel, you're listening, saw Nasty, she literally went
behind the two guys.
So the guy that was supposed tocome in, she went to in front
of him like, pushed him back andgot back on the court.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
That's wild.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
That is grounds for immediate forfeit.
You can't, you lose that round.

Speaker 1 (24:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
And Markel saw it.
None of us saw that.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:05):
And he goes no, she cheated you guys, you win, so we
won that round.
So we were down two to three.
We ended up losing five to two,so it's pretty close yeah but,
guys, she played so nasty likeit was she lived up to her name,
she didn't even apologize likethey.
They admitted that they.
They admitted that they cheatedand she wasn't like sorry guys,

(24:27):
that was shitty.
Nothing then at the end of thegame I went to say goodbye to
them and and just, they didn'twant anything to do with us.
They were so why?

Speaker 1 (24:35):
oh, they were jacked.
I thought you said they weremad.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
They won no they were just like aggressive players.
Anyway, we're not fun.
We're still in first.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Cause.
Even I will say even the peoplewho I've played against that
are really good on our league inthe moment when they're cause.
Look you guys, I take offenseIf someone is like throwing it
at me really hard and like at mereally hard and like I don't
know.
They're like they have a staredown and they look kind of mean.

(25:02):
I'm not to the point yet in mydodgeball career where I am not
like a little bit offended yeah, and sometimes I am and I'm like
okay, you don't have to be somean, I'm just a girl when
they're really not.
And every time after the gamewhen we're like saying good game
, they all have like smiles onmy face and they look really
nice and they're like a gamewhatever.
So I haven't had a time whereafterwards I'm like, oh, these

(25:23):
people are horrible, yeah, yeah, but that's insane.
This is a recreational, like ago play on team USA.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
If you like want to be that serious, go try out.
So yeah, that was our that wasour, that was our sports week.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
I do have one thing that I did, but I'm going to
save it for a list of the weekbecause, that.
That thing is my a list of theweek.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
Um, I, oh, I had um.
So one of my friends has movedhere.
Um, he's from Indiana, but healso lived in New York.
He has just moved here thisyear and he has not met Josh yet
.
So I had planned a dinner, um,and then he wasn't able to come.
He was feeling sick and he wasafraid of getting us sick.
So, um, but Haley also knowshim from school too.

(26:08):
So, um, and Haley and Sita,we're going to come to that
dinner as well.
So they just came over and wehad a little you know double
date and had pizza.
You guys did you see my story?
Yeah, I thought it was a joke.
No, it literally happened.
So there's a pizza like italianpasta pizza pasta place here
called john and benny's verytrendy, very vibey, very cute

(26:29):
place.
Like good wine, whatever.
Um, they now have a placethat's in the valley and I
hadn't ordered or been there yet, and so when we were having
this dinner, I was like, oh, I'mjust gonna order from john and
benny's and get.
I'm naming them john andfreaking benny's yeah we, um, I
got some pasta which I onlyordered one thing.

(26:53):
They're like kind of famous fortheir spicy fusilli.
That's like one of the thingsthat people like love there.
Okay, I ordered only a singleof that because hayley's ordered
from them before.
She's like oh, like it'stotally enough.
Yeah, that was like half of thecontainer was filled.
It was like a circular tincontainer and it was so small of

(27:13):
an amount and cena was like oh,we've ordered this before and
it's like so full that it barelycloses and I was like that was
the first offense.
And then I go to pick up thepizza boxes.
There was two of them and theyfelt light and I opened one and
it was one of the pizzas.
I was like cool.
And then I had the other one inmy hand.
I was like this feels so light.

(27:34):
Yeah, it was sealed yeah, yeah, yeah so we open it and it is
just an empty box that they havesent me, with not my other
pizza in it, and I couldn'tbelieve that it was a sealed box
that someone was like stickeredand just passed off without
even thinking about it.
They did um, we, I had a, cenaput it in his story and tagged

(27:55):
them and I had just um, I taggedthem, but they, when they saw
mine, I just said like lol, thisis crazy or something.
But they didn't really watch orsee it.
I don't think they replied tome with like a green hearts,
like they thought it was apositive thing, but Sina's story
had been like in bold lettersand it was like this is crazy,
like what, what are you doing?

(28:16):
So they saw his and they werelike hey, we're sorry, like
we'll email you or what's a goodemail.
They still have not emailed me,by the way, cause he gave them
my email.
They have not emailed me.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
You check your spam?

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Uh, no, but I will.

Speaker 2 (28:31):
You should check your spam.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
I'm not going to do it right now, but anyway, that
was a crazy thing that happened.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
What night was that?

Speaker 1 (28:36):
I did get reimbursed from DoorDash but what night
that was Thursday rough on aThursday.
Yeah, it was really sad, but we, I ordered, I got the refund
like initiated right then, andthen I ordered from another
place down the street that wasdelicious, so it was quick and
it was really good.
Okay, good, so that was that.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
I think friday something happened I went to
candy pop, so oh yeah, I saw.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
I didn't know where you went.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
I saw your friend susanna is moving to columbia.
She is going to be teachingthere for three years and so,
like every weekend, she's tryingto do something like fun or
just like that she wouldn'tmaybe normally do on a week
every weekend just to like getit all in.
And she's been doing it.
And so this past weekend she'slike I want to dance and I want
to.
I want to go dance.
Which?
Can we go somewhere to dance?
And I was like I haven't beento candy pop and a fortnight

(29:26):
let's go you and fortnight wasit
a theme it was girly pop night.
There's a lot of like britneysabrina carpenter yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Chuck.

Speaker 2 (29:37):
Bell Tate McRae yeah.
Complicated feelings about herright now.

Speaker 1 (29:42):
Anyway.

Speaker 2 (29:45):
And because we are in our 30s, it was free before 11
pm, $10 after 11.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
That's wild.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Well drinks $10 before, 11, 15 after 11.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Honestly work.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Yeah, I have a comment about that when you're
done they doors were at nine andI was like, okay, we, I've been
to candy, I've gone to the.
I went to the first candy pop, like that's how well I know you
are well versed but I haven'tbeen since.
Oh my god, like 2021 withromero, karina and chloe, that
was the last time I did.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Oh, because I wasn't able to go to the one, so we've
been to things that are likeCandy Pop but are not.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
Candy Pop, but are not Candy.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Pop Got it.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
So I went.
So it's been a minute and theplace where it was with them was
so fun because it was at atheater.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
Oh fun.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
So now it's at the Los Globos and, like Los Feliz
area, very clubby, okay Um youguys.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Outfits were cute.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Shout out Karina.
I thought her outfit was reallycute.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
I should tell her that she's not gonna listen, but
you should tell her that thecows were seeing this cow cow
skirt.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Yeah, I liked her um knee high boots and I liked the
combo.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
It was cute.
I real quick finishing this up.
So basically like I was likeguys, we we're.
I do not want to go there after11 pm.
I'd like to be home by midnightat the latest, and I don't care
if it's not going to be a fulldance floor, do you?
And they're like no?

Speaker 1 (31:08):
no, you're there just to vibe.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
Yes, we, literally just we got there, we went to
suzanna's and pre-gamed likecollege students and then got
there.
There was no line or wait.
There was so much room on thedance floor but it was like
great.

Speaker 1 (31:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
And we stayed for like an hour and then all went
back home and got our ownMcDonald's and called it a night
.
I love that.
It was pretty nice.
I hadn't been dancing in awhile and it does Every time I
do.
I'm like God, like we live inLA.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
We could dance every weekend.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
And it doesn't have to be A wasted drinking
situation, no, a wasted dancingsituation.
I just like love to dance.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
But I Same and I can't.
I want you guys.
I love West Hollywood gay barsas much as the next.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
But I hate House Music.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
We want to hear, like 2000s, r&b, rap, pop.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I want to shake my ass Like I'm sorry and I do not
want, like a house remix, tolike a Britney song no, no, no,
I would rather just hear theBritney song.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
Let me hear the Britney song.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
And a lot of the like West Hollywood bars are very,
are very that, except for rockos.
I feel like rockos has thatkind of music, so I could go to
rockos, but I need to go to justlike a place that is playing
just that.
Because when I told you I wentto that uh bar last time yeah,
for cena's birthday it startedout being what I wanted and then

(32:36):
it turned into house.
I want somewhere where itdoesn't change.
I want it to be stuff I heardin college.

Speaker 2 (32:43):
Yes, I agree.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
And that's it.
But that reminded me of youwere talking about.
If you're older, you get thingsUm.
I, if you guys follow the umcreator, rod on Tik TOK or
whatever he's's a does a lot ofmillennial, nostalgic things and
we are like friends, likeinternet friends.
He lives in chicago and he willhost these um oh, I know you're

(33:08):
talking about uh club nightswhere it's like super early
seven or eight pm and it's doneearly and it's like all of the
best millennial songs I've seenthat We've got Hilary Duff,
we've got all the those things.
So if you guys are in theChicago area and you are
interested in that, go followRod R-O-D.
I think that's what his handleis everywhere.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Lucky.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
And um go to one of his millennial nights because
it's like we're getting thereearly, we're getting home at a
decent hour and we're going tobed, but you get to hear all the
fun songs.
I love that.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
I was going to say, though, save your dancing pants,
because my dancing pants arefor every day.
Save your clubbing dancingpants, because Megan really
wants to go out dancing whenshe's here.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
That's fun.
We'll love that.

Speaker 2 (33:57):

It really has, it always is.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Disney Thursday dancing Friday.
While Allison is handling somebusiness.
I will update you on Stanley'ssurgery he had on Friday.
He had three teeth pulled.
It was expensive.
He's doing great, Right, Stan.
He's on meds right now so he'sa little loopy.
He's not allowed to play withhis toys.
Even though I tried to convincethe vet that he doesn't play
with toys he carries toys he waslike no, no, no, no, no, no

(34:22):
toys.
For two weeks I have beenbreaking that rule, because
taking Stanley's toys away fromhim is like taking a baby doll
away from a little girl, becauseStanley's toys are like his
best friends.
They're not things that hedestroys, they're things he
loves.
Anyway, thank you for yourthoughts.
Person concerns.
Stanley is doing great great.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
I had something um earlier when you were talking
about how dr oakley is back on.
If you guys been following usfor a while, since episode one
since episode one.
Alex was obsessed with dr oakleyand is thank you, and you had a
stint where you were notwatching dr Oakley, and now
you're back.
Yeah, and he mentioned that ifhe's watching bones, that means

(35:03):
it times are dark, yes.
So then, while you wereupstairs doing something, I
looked up a list of TV showsthat help people during their
depression, and I thought Iwould just is bones on the list.
I don't know.
I'm going to go through it Um.

Speaker 2 (35:16):
I can I guess.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
You can, it's like vertical, so oh, okay.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
Because I feel like Gilmore Girls is on there,
friends is on there.

Speaker 1 (35:24):
It's 34.
Too many for me to list.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Just start rattling them off.
Okay, I'll try not to makecommentary.

Speaker 1 (35:29):
Master of None, my Mad Fat Diary Frasier, never
it's so brown and like, and I Imean that in a way of like,
sepia toned like, but it's not,but it is you know, what I mean
it's just like a lot of likedesks wooden desks yes, it's not
leather and briefcases andcouches yes it's not for me,

(35:49):
rupaul's drag race yeah, I agree, buffy the vampire slayer yeah,
I agree, ann of green gables ohthe original.
No, the original.
Yeah, because it would be Annewith an E Parks and Rec.

Speaker 2 (36:00):
Yeah hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Archer, that's animated, I don't know.
Ace of Cakes, honestly work.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
I was watching Cake Boss the other day.
Yeah, I was like, oh yeah, thisshow.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
Scrubs, avatar, the Last Airbender, sherlock, how I
Met your Mother, that's one forme, but that's kind of I just
put that on every night.
It's a night show yeah,unbreakable.
Kimmy Schmidt, adventure Time, supernatural, black Books.
I want to say that a lot ofthese, I feel like are big like

(36:30):
gays.
Watch these, yeah, and I don'tknow what that says about mental
health.
Gilmore Girls there it is glee.
Modern family yeah, it's alwayssunny in philadelphia.
New girl, downton abbeynothing's happening in that.
I feel like that'd make me moredepressed.

(36:51):
Yeah I'm not, you would think Iwould like downton abbey because
of my yeah yeah, I like thatkind of thing, but when I've
tried to watch it I was verybored damn so the office skins
bojack horseman, were you skinsguy, I feel like you were lost.
I mean, that's, you were reallydepressed, because if you're
watching lost, you got a lot towatch.

(37:12):
Yeah, game of thrones, jessicajones, the oc friends hannibal
that's scary.
Yeah, jones, jessica Jones, theOC Friends, hannibal that's
scary.
Yeah, the West Wing Orange isthe New Black.
That's it.
Some of them.
I don't know that I agree with,but I guess if it's just like
an escape for you, then whatever, what's this muscle, your

(37:34):
hamstring?

Speaker 2 (37:35):
God, it's so tight yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Sorry, you are a your hamstring.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
God, it's so tight.
Yeah, sorry.

Speaker 1 (37:39):
You are uh.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
I did so many squats on the squat rack.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
You're a working out boy now, yeah, your quads and
your hamstrings are going to besore.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
Yeah, squats, that's what does it.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
But that's good.
You're actually engaging yourhamstrings instead of your quads
for um squats and that meansyou're doing them right.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
I think yeah, the form I take the form very
seriously.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Good, okay, sorry.
Well, that's all I had on that.
I just looked that up whileyou're upstairs.
Um jinx.
Today is the 21st and that isthe day that pope francis passed
yes at age 88, so that's newstoday, I will tell.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
I heard the news and thought again.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
He's been the Pope for a while, right, how?

Speaker 2 (38:25):
long I thought the Pope just died.

Speaker 1 (38:30):
Pope Francis served as the 266th Pope for 12 years,
from March 13, 2013 until today.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
So you're thinking of the one that died 12 years from
March 13th 2013 until today.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
So you're thinking of the one that died prior, 12
years ago.
I guess he might've been, Idon't know.
Some of them have the same likechoose the same name right, it
will.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
It is like Pope Francis the 35th or something.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
I think he was just the third, oh.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
I'm sorry, this sounds disrespectful.

Speaker 1 (38:56):
No, yeah, none of this is.
He might not have been thethird.
Um, none of this is meant to bedisrespectful.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
So okay, so he's passed.
That's news that we're catching, that is news.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
Stroke slash, heart failure, wow, um.
But you guys, if you haven'twatched conclave, now is your
time because it's about tohappen, which I feel like they
had to plan this.

Speaker 2 (39:18):
they knew that it was coming here's the thing I still
don't know what a conclave is.
Oh, it's the time between popeswhere they're electing a new
pope got it.
I do want to watch conclave I,you do, really do.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
Um, I read that it won't start for like 15 days,
though, and in the movie I don'tknow that they make that clear.
Like it feels like he dies andthey like seal his room, which
is kind of crazy, because Idon't know if they embalm him in
there or what, but they justlike, oh, maybe they take his
body out.
They definitely do.
They don't just like leave hisbody in there, but they, they

(39:50):
seal off his room and no one'ssupposed to go in there, and
then it's just like the conclavestarts.
So they don't really tell ushow many days are in between,
but I did read oh, my God, aconclave is about to happen.
I know that's why you need towatch it.
Let me.
Let me see what I Is conclave.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
a fictional telling of a story of a conclave, yes,
okay.

Speaker 1 (40:13):
Okay.
So the Pope's death triggersthe start of nine days of
mourning, known as the.
So the Pope's death triggersthe start of nine days of
mourning known as the NovenDiales.
Sorry for my pronunciation ofthe Italian that I don't know.
Oh.
I thought, it was Latin, Couldbe Latin.
Francis will be placed in acoffin and lie in a state for
several days until the funeralConclave.

(40:34):
The process of picking a newPope is not expected to begin
earlier than 15 days, no laterthan 20 days, after the Pope's
death.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
that's what it was, yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
Oh, I thought it was her just saying like we're done,

But we have Addison Rae, wehave Lorde Pink, pantheress Haim
um.
Rosalia ASAP.
Rocky Bon Iver.
Those are the ones I know.

Speaker 2 (48:04):
Oh well then, that's definitely about an era not just
saying like now go supportthese people and their fun
summers.

Speaker 1 (48:15):
So what you know?
There's, so many there's like,literally like 20 something.
People listed A lot of them.
I don't know.
Some of them probably are DJsor whatever.
That she is on the song, maybenot people singing with her, but
what do you think of the peoplethat I listed?
Addison lord pink panther isheim rosalia asap rocky bonnie
bear what?
What do you think this new eracould be?

Speaker 2 (48:38):
more of the same.
I think it's just gonna be youknow, just a different color.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
and okay, what color?
So she was lime green this yearI feel like it could be red.

Speaker 2 (48:49):
Or you think going out of the going out of, like
the neon spectrum or it could belike a neon orange.
Yeah, that's where my mind went.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
Yeah, um, bonnie bear is interesting Cause he's very
brooding and slow, and that'strue.

Speaker 2 (49:03):
He's very brooding and slow, and that's true.

Speaker 1 (49:04):
That is throwing a little bit of like a and Lorde
because it could go either way, with Lorde Because she did Girl
so Confusing with her and it wasmore like clubby, like sound,
but Lorde is known for.

Speaker 2 (49:19):
Stanley, I think it's his stitches.

Speaker 1 (49:21):
He's like oh he can feel them.
Yeah, lorde, is more likeintense and dark.
Yeah, true, so those twotogether are one type of vibe,
but then like pink pants, oh andHaim, I feel like they could be
in that, but then Addison ispop, Pink Panther is is more

(49:42):
like hip hop.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Rap vibes ASAP.
Rocky is rap Like it's a lot ofinteresting.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
It is.

Speaker 1 (49:49):
A mixture of interesting things.

Speaker 2 (49:51):
And she gave no timeline to this.
So I guess we'll just we'll see.

Speaker 1 (49:54):
So we'll have to see, but that was.
That's also news.

Speaker 2 (49:59):
That's news.
That's news.
And, of course, speaking offestivals, here's our here's
news.
And, of course, speaking offestivals, here's our, here's
our fire fest update.
Everyone, it's been postponed.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:10):
Shocker.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
Yeah, I actually meant I don't.
I thought I put it in the linkthat I read today, but no.
I didn't.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
The headline I read was just that he has postponed
it and definitely people'stickets will be refunded.

Speaker 1 (50:24):
The headline I read was just that he has postponed
it indefinitely.
People's tickets will berefunded.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Yeah, at least the tickets are being refunded
because that would be insane.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Yeah, a message was sent to take ticket holders, so
it's sent to all the people thatsaid it had been postponed.
New day will be announced.
We've issued a refund Once thenew day is announced.
Then you can repurchase tickets.
I'm glad, yeah.
I'm glad he wasn't likepostponed, we'll let you know.
Your ticket will still bewhatever, because that means

(50:50):
he's holding on to that money?

Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, I don't know.
We'll see.
I mean it was kind ofanticlimactic but we knew it
wasn't going to happen.

Speaker 1 (50:56):
I just wasn't sure how it wasn't going to happen.
Do you think the postponementis more because they didn't sell
a lot of tickets and so they'relike?

Speaker 2 (51:01):
no, I think that someone finally got to him and
was like logistically, sir, thiscannot happen.

Speaker 1 (51:07):
Yeah, Well, because I thought they were doing the
buying out day clubs and justright, I think, but think about
this.

Speaker 2 (51:15):
I got an email today.
Coachella tickets just went onsale for next year.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
Of course yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
His event should start.
Tickets now for next year.
Yeah, his event should starttickets now for next year.
Yeah, but he did it two monthsbefore.

Speaker 1 (51:27):
Yeah, it needs to not be it needs to not be a
festival, it just needs to be aconcert, like just have a day
concert people will still travelthere because they can make a
vacation out of it and just belike we have a full day planned
of you know, back to back toback people performing and it's
in this you know area and we'llhave vendors and whatever you

(51:50):
can buy from, and then the restof the weekend you go do your
own thing, girl period that'sstill hard to plan.
I'm not saying that it sureisn't hard to plan, but it is
way easier than trying to plan afull weekend festival with with
all these promises.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:06):
Um.

Speaker 1 (52:07):
I also think he just couldn't book people.

Speaker 2 (52:09):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1 (52:09):
So it's like what can you do?
You have one person that's a exfootball player what's he going
to do?
And no one to perform for thesepeople.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
No, not at all.
Um Heather texted me and said Ineed to hear about the katie
perry conspiracies on the pod.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
Thanks, are there new ones?
Not john benet?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
ramsey no, like that, I guess.
Like the going to space thingwas faked oh that because they
opened the door prematurely yeah, yeah and it should have been
hot oh, really I didn't, so I'veheard nothing except that it
was like the pr team was like no, no, no, let us open the door.
Like they were mad about ityeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
I've seen mixed things also, so I don't know if
I what I can say on it, becauseI in my head was like of course
there's a way to open the doorfrom the inside, because if they
land in the water somewhere andthey can't get out like.

Speaker 2 (53:11):
There needs to be a mechanism that will allow them
to open and it wouldn't be hoton the inside, would it?

Speaker 1 (53:17):
no, because they're in the inside, like they've been
in it the whole time.
So to me.
But then I also heard peoplesay like it does not open from
the inside and that's howspaceships work.
So I've gotten conflictingthings.

Speaker 2 (53:34):
I need to hear Katy Perry Need pod to cover Katy
Perry flight conspiracy theories, please Thank you.

Speaker 1 (53:40):
Honestly, when I typed in conspiracy it still
came up Fake hand to satanicsymbols.
What Out of this world orstraight out of a studio, which
I did watch that movie, that.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:54):
But it wasn't like that.
They faked it.
It was a fail safe.

Speaker 2 (53:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:57):
One user labeled it as the worst CGI any fake space
agency has produced.
I don't agree.
I watched the video of themgoing up.
I guess at least are they justtalking about the ending I don't
know um.
Perhaps the most viral evidencewas a clip showing the capsule's
door slightly ajar before jeffbezos ceremoniously opened it

(54:20):
with a tool moments later.
To the conspiratorial mind, itwas a glaring inconsistency a
supposed airtight, high pressurehatch swinging open too easily.
In contrast, actual nasamissions involved teams of
technicians prying hatches openwith precision.
Was the door gap just anoversight, or was the was a or
the unraveling of awell-scripted show?

Speaker 2 (54:42):
why, why why?
I mean I don't know becausethis?

Speaker 1 (54:47):
isn't.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
Yeah, there isn't a reason for them to fake it were
they trying like because it wasdistracting us from something
else I mean, I guess that wouldbe the only thing, but this
isn't an actual space mission.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
I can understand why people think that the space, the
moon landing, was faked becausewe were in a race against
Russia to get there first, andso the the incentive to fake is
greater.
Yeah, like it's an actualincentive Like this, like people
didn't even want them to dothis because it's wasting

(55:20):
resources, so they're like whywould they then put themselves
in that position to get all thatbacklash?

Speaker 2 (55:27):
for no reason.
Imagine the government gettingtogether to talk about this
right, and they're like we gotto distract the American people
again and we are not doing itwe're not going to do another
nine, 11.
So let's put Gail King and KatyPerry in space.

Speaker 1 (55:42):
You know who's going to do it.
That is, katy Perry put gailking and katie perry in space.
Do you know who's gonna do it?

Speaker 2 (55:45):
that is katie perry, that'll do it.
The government does.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
No, I'm sorry no, I don't believe it I love a
conspiracy theory.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
This one does not hold up I don't believe it.

Speaker 1 (55:52):
I think that this is not a nasa space um capsule.
It's blue origin.
I think that they have a a wayto open it from the inside and
they've done these flightsbefore.
It's like the same, these richpeople go up laying down.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
they have a way to open it from the inside and
they've done these flightsbefore.
It's like the same.
These rich people go up layingdown.
They have like three minutes inthe stratosphere and they come
back down and yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:13):
I think that you, unless you are a person who has
worked on a blue origin ship, then, like you, are the only one
that knows that.
If you are someone who knowsabout NASA, like they make their
own ships- Right, so you can't.
You would never know what'sinside of the Blue Origin one.
So, in my opinion, I think thatthey have, they had a way to

(56:33):
open it and they were justinstructed let Jeff.
Let Jeff open it, becausethat's he's.
And they were just like, obviously, he was egotistical
and wants to be like the guywho's opening it and they forgot
because they were excited andamped up and they just like
opened it.
Yeah, that's my thought.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
I agree and I want to jump back and say that I was
joking when I said thegovernment stage 9-11.

Speaker 1 (56:57):
In case an AI software is listening to this,
for sure, thank you, shall weget to A-list of the week.

Speaker 2 (57:04):
It's time for A, a list of the week.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
It's time for okay you want to know mine, I do I'm
so excited.

Speaker 2 (57:12):
Have you watched on hulu, disney or disney plus?
Yet?

Speaker 1 (57:15):
national geographic just put out titanic the digital
resurrection new, but is thisthe one with the new images?
Yes, so you're probably seeingtiktok clips I saw the tiktok
way more fascinating to watchyeah, those pictures are crazy
it's not pictures, though, orsure oh, someone released photos
in an article, so maybe that'swhat I saw but, it could be the

(57:37):
same so they basically sent down.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
They spent two full weeks underwater, these two
machines called romeo and juliet, and romeo was gathering this
kind of data and juliet wasgathering this other data and
they, for two straight weeks, without stopping, scanned both
wreckage sites, okay, over andover and over, until they got
every tiny little scan.
And now, for the first timeever, they have these high

(58:03):
resolution, like 3d renderingsof the Titanic wreckage.

Speaker 1 (58:07):
Yeah, like very, very clear.

Speaker 2 (58:08):
And they built a soundstage so that they could
make it life size.
So they built a soundstage here, put LED screens that would be
the size of the ship underwaterso that researchers can go right
up to the screens and likeactually investigate the things
that are going on oh cool andthe things that they've
discovered.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
There's the window where the iceberg hit is still
intact and didn't it saysomething like the reason, the
reason that it flooded came downto the width of a piece of
paper yes like that's how littlethe uh crack was that went,
made it go over to the thebulkhead too many chambers being

(58:44):
so also this part is crazybecause they were able to do
this and see, like, thestructural integrity and how it
went down.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
They also did a reenactment of a bunch of
different ways that this couldhave happened.
The ship was designed thosebulkheads.
The unsinkable part of titanicwas that you could they could
flood four bulkheads and stillbe floating.
That was the thing that madethem yeah so that was designed
so that if a head-on collisionhappened it would survive the

(59:14):
head-on collision?
Had officer murdoch not said tosteer hard right?

Speaker 1 (59:21):
yeah left.

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Then they would have head on collision.
Everyone pretty much in firstclass or the front of the boat
would have died, but this shipwould not have sank crazy they
ran did they know how, like atwhat speed?

Speaker 1 (59:38):
because there had to be a yes, they know the speed,
the top speed that would havestill made it sink well, titanic
was going at its full speed sothey would have known if they're
gonna hit something at fullspeed.

Speaker 2 (59:49):
This is the amount they did a literal, like the
iceberg and the size that theyknew it was, and then a video of
the of the titanic hitting itand the way that it would
crumple and crush and where itwould roughly stop but because
those four bulkheads would nothave flooded yeah the fourth
bulkhead wouldn't have flooded.
They would have stayed floatingwow, that's wild and so, like
she's like, dare I say, hadofficer murdoch not made the

(01:00:13):
call yeah that, like the shipwould not have sank, people
would have died.
It would have been tragic andawful because they would have
died by but not everyone but noteveryone, not 1500 people.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
They also said that um, they found out that the
pipes with the steam um werestill in the on position.
So that means that the peoplethat were in the coal area were
still producing energy, so thatthe lights would stay on, so
that I could get people into theboats and get them safely off.

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
And, like all those people died yeah, because when
they were, they were stillworking, they were not trying to
get off, which is very sad andthey also were able to tell by
all this footage that there wasone lifeboat that they were
starting to lower at the time ofthe of the sinking like when it
cracked like when it cracked, like when it the one the front

(01:01:10):
split and the front, and then itbobbed, goes away the back,
comes up and it goes down.
Yeah, they're like a third of amile away from each other
underwater.
Yeah, it's wild anyway, and itwas going very fast.

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
We could talk about this for hours, you guys there
is a new thing in la that islike a vr though right vr and
it's like relive the titanic invr and I seem so morbid morbid
like what do you mean relive, they die yeah, but I mean, but
like do we need to do it?

(01:01:43):
probably yeah and the thing isis I would like to vlog it, but
it's vr, so it's like youwouldn't be able I wouldn't be
able to show people what I'mseeing unless you can get a
recording of oh, maybe I don'tknow, I can look into it,
because that might beinteresting and we've done every
other titanic thing, so wemight as well do that so I
highly recommend this.

Speaker 2 (01:01:59):
I put it on today while I was having my lunch and
I was like, oh no, this isreally good.

Speaker 1 (01:02:04):
Yeah, I will have to do it when I can pay attention.
It can't be background.

Speaker 2 (01:02:08):
Hulu or Disney plus, but it's through national
geographic.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
Would like to watch.

Speaker 2 (01:02:13):
That's my list of the week, y'all.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
Mine is also a something to view, and that is
the movie sinners.
Josh and I went and watched itthe other night and I didn't
know if I was going to like it,but I know that I like Michael B
Jordan and I know that I likeHailee Steinfeld, and she's
coming back to music.
She is, she put a song on thatfor that movie.

(01:02:35):
And then she did an interviewwhere she was like I'm itching.

Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
What's that?
Is that a Gen Z word?
No, she's just like itching.

Speaker 1 (01:02:51):
To get back to me, she said I'm mitchin, no like
she wants to get back to musicyeah, and honestly, she has so
many bangers yeah, so many songsabout masturbation just subtle,
honestly, whatever, I guess, but they're also good like they.
If you don't know it's aboutthat, then it's just like you're
just getting it I can alsovouch that she's a very lovely
person oh, I love her.
Yeah, oh yeah.
How do you know her?

Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
when I was working for when I was working for nike
and we were pitching to have theolympics here in la.
We booked hayley to perform andthe like production tent that I
was in.
She was in there waiting beforeshe was to go on stage and that
we had to stop her.
The team had to stop herbecause she was wearing an
adidas like, uh, like summerdress thing, because it was an

(01:03:30):
outdoor concert in venice andshe was like I should probably
change right?
Yeah, they're like yes good onher.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Yeah, but yes, this movie is very interesting.
It is I don't think it's givingit away that there is like a.
It's a horror movie, I guess,um, but it has like a level of
vampirism ah, vampirism so likeI I don't typically like that

(01:04:00):
it's a movie, sorry, it's in thebox office right now.
Okay, I don't typically likemovies about vampires.

Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
A movie, sorry it's in the box office right now.

Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
Okay, I don't typically like movies about
vampires for some reason otherthan twilight.

Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
Other than twilight, like horror movies, like I don't
like dracula movies.

Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
I know it's just they're not for me, but I wanted
to give this one a try, didn'tyou see that one with karina in
theaters?
Yes, oh, that was like kind offunny, but funny yes, funny yes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
Oh, we're thinking of two different movies.
We're talking about the NicolasCage one.

Speaker 1 (01:04:26):
I was talking about the the Nicolas Cage one was
like funny.
Right so that one was okay.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
I was talking about those for all too.

Speaker 1 (01:04:32):
No, don't want to see that.
That one on the ship Don't wantto see that.
No, that is just not for me andI'm very happy for you.
But, um, this is, but it's alsokind of like two movies in one.
I don't know, I can't explainit.
I think it's very good.
It had one of the mostinteresting and cool visual

(01:04:52):
scenes that I think I've haven'tseen in a very long time in a
movie this doesn't give thingsaway.
This doesn't give anything away,but there's a scene where
they're dancing and there'sthey're playing music and it's.
It's like blues music of thedeep South, of like the 1800s.

Speaker 2 (01:05:13):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
And they are depicting how, like those people
that are making music andsinging in that time in black
culture, how it has influencedall of these decades that have
come after it, and all differentstyles and styles of music and
styles of dance, and so thethese like people in the time of

(01:05:36):
like the 1800s or whenever itis, or early, very early 1900s.
They're all in that attire andthen there's like random people
dispersed who are also dancingwith them, but they're um
clothed in whatever like erathat they're in.
So there's like there's aballerina who or not a ballerina

(01:05:57):
, there's a dancer who's doingkind of like how I was telling
you guys the other week aboutalvin ailey like like modern
dance style, like there'ssomeone like that.
There's a girl from thenineties and she has on like a
really short mini skirt and it'slike nineties attire and the
the camera is like sweepingaround.
It's one of the coolest scenesI've ever seen in a movie.

(01:06:18):
And I I just got goosebumpsthinking about it, Like it is
such a good scene so movie goodyeah, I just got goosebumps
thinking about it.
Like it is such a good scene.
Is the movie good?

Speaker 2 (01:06:25):
Yeah, like I enjoyed it, that's what you keep saying,
though you keep saying it likethat.

Speaker 1 (01:06:28):
I know, even on Sunday you're like, yeah, it's
not something that I'm like, I'mgoing to watch this every year
for my yes.
But then there's a tag at theend after the credits that I you
might might like, you might notlike, I don't know does it lead
to a sequel?

Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
is that why?

Speaker 1 (01:06:47):
no oh no, it's just like a tag.
Okay, I like.
I think it was so good, it wasso well made, the acting is so
good, like michael b jordanplays split screen twins oh and
like it is a really really wellmade and very interesting and
good movie, but it's not like amovie that I'm going to want to

(01:07:08):
watch.

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
Every year Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:07:10):
Like I enjoyed it for what it was and I thought that
it was very good, but it's justlike okay, I saw it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:17):
Type of thing.
Okay, that's like that's whatmy answer is.
It's not me talking aboutTitanic, where I'm like I want
to watch this.
I could watch this every weekfor the rest of my life.
And I love it so much.
Not the same vibe, but stillvery good.
Yeah, so that's myrecommendation Go watch centers,
and if not, then when it comesto a streaming near you.
