Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, we just had
quite the convo.
Yeah, that was wild Happy after4th of July.
Welcome back to the A-Llistpodcast with Allison and Alex.
(00:25):
I'm Allison, she's Allison.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
She's Alex.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
She's Alex.
It is two days after the 4th ofJuly.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Yeah, we're trying
something where we are recording
the day before it comes out, sothat everything is super fresh.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
Yes, it is a
stressful thing.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I think in theory, if
we do this again, it needs to
be earlier in the day.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah, I feel like
when we were talking about it, I
said I feel like our scheduleshave changed like every quarter
since we've been recording.
So every three, four months weadjust when we record anytime.
So this is what it is right now.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
It is this right now,
yeah, and we're going to have
to be creative.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
It is also, I think
the other part of it is that
it's the time of year wherethere's so much going on because
it's summer.
So it's like everyone's havinga birthday, everyone's having a
party, everyone's having agathering, and so it's hard to
navigate the weekends.
So that's why I felt stressedand talking about it, but I'm
sure, when it the time of yearwinds down, it won't feel as
(01:31):
stressful, but we're here.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
The point is we're,
we got you gotta be kind of
flexible, and we're doing it.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
Yeah, we're doing
that.
Stanley's exhausted becausehe's been on edge for three days
.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
Fourth of July.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
The fireworks really
mess with the dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
How was Dodgeball
this week?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Okay so have we
talked about that.
I'm in two leagues.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Yes, I think, but you
haven't like not.
Yes, but the last time wetalked about Dodgeball, the
Wednesday, one hadn't startedyet.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
So now it's
full-blown Tuesdays and
Wednesdays, and as of now I'vegone to both, because there
hasn't been you haven't beenoverwhelmed with things.
Yeah, um, but Wednesday isLucille's balls, which is the
former team that you were thecaptain of, and we actually
killed it, we crushed it.
We won like 10 to one.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
It was crazy One,
because there was no Markel.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Correct and the one
game we lost.
So there's a person who I'venot seen before in the other two
games and um Jack, who's thecaptain right now, was like oh,
this person's coming, butthey're going to be late, and so
but the game started and Itotally forgot about that person
, even after we switched sides.
Like it was well past thehalfway mark and I did see this
(02:45):
person come in.
And it was well past thehalfway mark and I did see this
person come in and it was justlike standing on the slide
sideline, but then he wasstanding at the like front of
the line and so then we had acatch and everyone was like
someone in, someone in, and thisperson, who had not been there
at all, just ran in and the refwas like okay, no, and then
(03:08):
called the game.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Wait, had this person
never played dodgeball in their
life?
I don't know Cause, obviouslyyou're.
You wouldn't be allowed to joinin the middle of a game In the
middle of a game.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
So that was the one
game we lost cause he just ran
in Wow.
Well, I'm glad you guys beathot to throw though we did yeah
I hear he's not, markel's not onthe team at all this season um
he was there because he had beenrefereeing, so I was like iffy
on it, but then he left.
So yeah, who?
Speaker 3 (03:38):
did I ask he
shouldn't be?
Speaker 1 (03:40):
he correct if you
played professionally like you
should not be playing in thisdivision.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
I feel like Lucille's
may take the crown this year.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Maybe We'll see we're
doing well right now.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Jordan just had her
30th birthday, so stop by.
And she and I both were like, yeah, I think I'm done with
dodgeball.
Forever, yeah, she's neverdoing it again.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
What?
Because it got too stressfulshe was just like it wasn't fun.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
She's like I got
really good at catching, but
because I'm not an arm, I nevergot the chance to throw, and
it's supposed to be like this.
I was like fair.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
I will say there are
a lot of guys on this team, a
lot of guys that are good atthrowing, and it is kind of like
you got to step up.
I just feel like I just I takethe ball and I just go, and I
think that you have to have thatmentality or whatever.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
You have to really
like the position you play, like
, I feel like Sid.
Just she accepts what she isand she's great at it.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
She helps get those
balls.
Because we were up so much thistime we like had a powwow and
we were like okay, like we don'tcare if we give up a game, like
let's all try to catch, andlike work on that skill.
And then people who weren'treally throwing at all, we were
kind of like pushing them, givethem some time to up being like
(04:59):
no, like we're like, oh, no like, throw I, sid throw the ball.
Yeah so.
But so the week before is whenthe night that my family got
here was.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
Wednesday oh yeah,
guys, so they came to watch.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
They were very tired
because they were on East Coast
time and we didn't play until9pm, but they did come and
Daphne did fall asleep duringthe game, yeah, yeah.
But enough to see me play, where afterwards she or amanda
said that she had told her likethat I was pretty good so that
made me feel pretty good and Imet.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I had like four
catches that game, so it was
actually pretty oh, that was animpressive game for them to
watch literally yeah, becausenormally that doesn't happen.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yeah, but yeah, so I
guess I'll just recap that okay,
yeah so they were there.
They watched me play dodgeball.
The next day we did went toGriffith.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
Or you did the
Hollywood tourist things.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yes, we went to the
observatory so we could get some
good pictures of the Hollywoodsign Cute.
And then we went to HollywoodBoulevard Ate at Hard Rock we
saw the things we did eat atHard Rock Cafe, which was my
first time being there Mid.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Used the things we
did eat at Hard Rock Cafe, which
was my first time being theremid Used to be the spot.
Like imagine Alex, 20 years old, in Hollywood, just stoked to
be here.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
Having any time I had
a little extra money, I just
would go to Hard Rock.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Had you been to other
Hard Rocks?
Speaker 2 (06:16):
No, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
No, I think that
maybe is why.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
So did you ever see
the one at City Walk?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yes, because when I
came in eighth grade, yeah, I
think that we might have eatenthere or at least walked by that
was epic huge spinning car yeah, I do think that we went there
because I remember I told youthat I all I remembered was also
how the moon being there andwhen I moved here I wanted I was
like I've waited all theseyears to be here and old enough
(06:45):
to go to that bar.
And then it was gone.
But I do think I went to thatone.
But I've been to many a HardRock.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
New York City.
That's like a thing people usedto do.
It's like you stop, you get theshirt.
Planet Hollywood and Hard RockCafe.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
I've been to many.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Which is now Dr
Toothsome's Chocolate Emporium,
or whatever.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
Yeah, which we didn't
make it to, but it's okay.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
No, it didn't close
early, which is odd.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
That's so weird, but
yeah.
So we did touristy things, andthen the next day was when we
went to Disneyland.
Well, that night I met, the famWas that the that was the same
day you did Hollywood, so maybethere was a day, oh, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, no, it was, yeah, thursday.
(07:27):
I've already forgotten.
Yeah, that was Thursday.
Yeah, you met up with us at.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
City Walk and we ate
it margaritaville, which is
always delicious.
I pushed my.
I got out of my comfort zone.
I had a black bean burrito andit was good right it was good, I
gagged a lot, but you did, yeah, but I didn't hear you well, no
, because it's, you know, withthe mouth closed is it like?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
you just like to
swallow it?
You needed a little.
I'm thinking about it now, butthe taste was good.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Yeah, the flavor was
good.
I just hate the texture so much.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
But I met the kids,
good job.
And Daphne is an incredibledancer who forced Allison to do
a religious TikTok dance.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
She did dance she did
it, she's this random, like
christian.
I guess it's a viral sound songthat I have never heard.
But, uh, we did some shopping,uh, and then we ate dinner, and
then we did some more shopping, and then her wish was for me to
do this dance with her and Icould not hear the music at all.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
My sister, had to
count, she counted.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
So that I could dub
the music over later.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
And you did great.
I saw it.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
And I was the
videographer.
Everyone, yes.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
And that was also
another late night.
But then we had to get up to goto Disney the next day and I
was very tired.
We did decide not to rope dropbecause we couldn't fathom.
I told them how early they hadto get up.
Yes, and they were like youknow what, Maybe we don't need
to.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I was trying to bully
Amanda a little bit.
I was like come on, you gottano, but I get it, I get it, I
get it.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
No, I think that our
lives would have been worse yeah
.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
They were pretty
tired by the time we were
leaving CityWalk Because so muchwe went on like 16 or 17 rides,
hell yeah, and they were allthe good rides, basically ever
make it on, so let me tell you, they know me.
Speaker 1 (09:13):
You guys, you know
alex's trick.
I'm not going to go into itagain because of one I kind of
need to gatekeep a little bit.
But we can modify, you canmodify the things whatever I've
talked about it a lot and we.
We got there probably at nine,seven, 8, 30, 8, 30.
Maybe it wasn't too late, but Ithink we probably left at 7, 30
so it wasn't not too bad itwasn't.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
We still got up early
.
How's the car like situation?
Did you end up charging itthere?
Speaker 1 (09:40):
I did and it worked.
Everything was chill amazing.
It was great there weren't thatmany chargers left by the time
we got there closer to nine, butthere were some left, so good
to know, and we'll do it again.
Speaker 3 (09:54):
Okay, great Great.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So we got on pretty
much everything we wanted to do,
and then we started inDisneyland.
Okay to do.
And then we started indisneyland.
Okay, the whole day the towerof terror slash guardians of the
galaxy was off of lightninglane.
So by the time we switched tocalifornia adventure, it wasn't
even available, and so I waslike you guys, I don't know,
(10:18):
this might be the one we have tostand in line for, because I
kept checking and it wasn't onthere worth it.
Yeah, we even we even did umstar wars, uh rise of the
resistance and we.
It was only a half hour waitand it was like totally I know
I'm so glad they got to ride ityeah, we had ridden it in the
world okay but we at we asked ifthey wanted to and then we
(10:40):
looked and it was like a 35minute wait and we were like
yeah, we can do that that's fine, so we didn't even need to pay
for the.
We didn't get to do cars, whichis okay.
Bad because it's an extralightning lane purchase.
So I'm watching it the wholeday.
I'm crushing the lightning lane.
I'm like as soon as we get inline for something, I'm getting
(11:01):
on there and then I'm refreshingand I'm changing it.
I every time, every time, everyride we were on, I would modify
it so that immediately as wewere off that ride, our next
lightning lane was ready.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
You're saying this to
me as if I don't know.
No.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
I know, but for some
reason I feel cause we're not.
I feel like when we are goingthere we're not trying to fit in
as much as we possibly can.
Trying to fit in as much as wepossibly can, we just want to
ride what we want to ride, yeah.
And so without having to waitlong dead ass, like we barely
even stopped to eat anything topee.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
We was like this is
why you wanted us to have this
in Disney world.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
You guys were
understanding, Um, but like
cause we were walking so much?
Sometimes we had to go back andforth from California Adventure
to, because of just how quickly.
I got things and we were likewell, we have to do this.
So, yeah barely stopped to eat, barely stopped to sit Like ride
warriors.
I wore a skirt and that was abad idea because my legs were
chafing.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Oh damn.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
And I cause it was so
hot.
I had brought leggings forlater, but I didn't.
I never had the chance to putone because of how long.
Okay, so.
So we're like okay, I thinkwe're going to have to stand in
line for guardians, and it waslike an an hour and a half wait,
maybe longer yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Like 120 minutes yeah
.
Speaker 1 (12:18):
It was a lot of time
and we were like, okay, you know
what.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
Acceptance we're
going to do it.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
So we get in line.
And Daphne this is Daphne'sthing, like she's.
Like.
This is my ride.
Arlins was in Credit Coaster.
We got on that very easily.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Did Daphne ride it.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
No.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
Okay, I wasn't sure.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
She didn't end up
doing it.
So she's like this is my rideand we're doing it, so we get.
We're standing there forprobably like 15, 20 minutes and
we barely moved.
And she, Daphne, was like youknow what we can get off.
Speaker 2 (12:47):
Over it.
We can get off, just like inFlorida.
Let's get out of this line.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Literally and I had
already had a lightning lane for
Monsters.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Inc.
That I was like going to waittill the last second to cancel
just in case that happened.
And since it did, we went overto Monsters Inc.
And and since it did, we wentover to Monsters Inc.
And we're on the ride, or wecheck in and we're in line.
And I see that Guardians hasopened up, but it was still like
a little bit later.
I get it and I refresh, and Iget it for like 10 minutes from
(13:19):
then and I was like you guys arenot going to believe this and
we all freak out, we're like woo, like high-fiving, we're like
we can't believe this.
Yeah, that's great time we geton Monsters Inc ride.
The ride breaks down.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Monsters.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Yes, it breaks down
and we're sitting there for 10
minutes and then they turn onall the lights.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
And they come over
loudspeaker and they're like hey
, you guys are just gonna haveto sit there, we'll come get you
, basically okay.
So we get walked off ofmonster's ink yeah, really
everything looks different withthe lights on we were in, like
the door room with all themirrors.
You almost made it through wehad almost made it, but the way
that they walk you off of a rideis that they start at the
(14:06):
beginning and they make everyoneget off the ride row by row.
So I guess there's only tworows on that and then, once
everyone's off that, they walkyou to the next car.
So it took a while because wewere almost to the end.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
And they make you
walk single file.
And once they got to us then wehad to do.
There was a couple cars infront of us and then they gave
us a free skip a free skip theline.
So the kids really wanted to do.
Arlen wanted to do in creditcoaster one more time and daphne
wanted to do thunder mountainone more time.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
So we were like cool.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
We go to guardians,
we're like, perfect, we can do
those three.
And then we're gonna be done, because california venture was
about to close oh, sure, okay um, well, in a few hours it was
gonna close, so we go to get inline.
For guardians it's like 7, 20or something, and we are now
standing there and the lineisn't moving in the lightning
(15:03):
lane in the lightning lane andIn the lightning lane oh, and
they come over the speaker andthey're like hey, we're only
running half of the ride rightnow only two elevators.
So it is going to be a while, but we are, we'll prioritize
lightning lane, and so we'relike okay, like we should, we
should get on like it should befine yeah it barely moves and
I'm like, oh my gosh, like sucha high to such a low like we
(15:27):
were so excited to get on.
And then now we're not movinghere and I just in my little
like sly self, I go.
I'm just going to go asksomeone and I find a worker and
I'm like, hey, we have alightning lane for this.
Is there any way that you couldlike give us a new lightning
(15:48):
lane for later?
Cause like we're standing hereand like this sucks or whatever,
and she's like I can't do thatbecause you've already scanned
in.
But what I?
But you can go talk to thisother person and you can ask for
a bathroom pass and she shouldbe able to get.
But she's like whispering to mebecause she didn't want
everyone to hear.
She's like you can ask for abathroom pass and she might give
(16:09):
it to you.
She might not.
I don't know.
You can see, I'm like I got.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
What does this
bathroom pass?
Speaker 1 (16:14):
do it was an actual
piece of paper that said
bathroom, pass on it.
I don't know if it's just likethe big.
The big um rides.
Have this thing where, if it'slike your kid is like freaking
out or whatever, and I go, heygirl to the worker, is there?
Any way that I can get abathroom pass for this wink wink
(16:37):
and she like she's over it yeahshe's like how many people are
in your party?
easy four I was like four, shegoes.
She kind of rolled her eyes.
She's like all right, and soshe goes and she gets it.
She has to write the date andtime on it and circle the number
and it only goes up to four.
So I think if you have a biggerparty, she'd be like no, yes,
but because I had four.
(16:58):
She was like so she gives methis paper.
It's so weird, it's a literalpiece of paper.
And she was like you, can youhave to use this before the
night's over, like you can't?
Speaker 2 (17:07):
So you basically go
back to lighting lane and you
say I have this light and that'show it works.
Understood, Okay.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Yeah.
So then I go back and I'm likeyou guys I did it again Get out
of line.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
And Allison is here.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
So we went to ride in
Credit Coaster and we were like
, let's wait until right beforethe park's about to close, like
the last moment we can get on.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Yeah, because you'll
still have two hours over at.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Disney.
Yeah, so we did that.
We had got a bite to eat andthen we went back and then we
literally walked right on.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
we had to wait a
little bit inside, but like
totally fine.
So we did get to ride it, butit was a roller coaster.
Did Daphne like it?
Speaker 1 (17:44):
because she didn't
get to do Tower of Terror um,
she did, but she was likescreaming a lot, yeah, okay
there's this like thing that thekids say, yeah, have you heard
this oh, she said that in whenwe were at dinner um, my sister
told her she was allowed to yellthat because she was scared
okay, and so she just yelledthat the whole time she said oh
my yeah, like as we're going upand down, okay, but in the end
(18:08):
she liked it okay, and then wewent over.
She rode thunder mountain again.
Uh, we watched the fireworks aswe were kind of walking over,
and then that was it supersuccessful like as we counted up
everything, it was like 16, 17very impressive.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Did you do any dark
rides?
Speaker 1 (18:24):
no those were the
ones we forwent.
We didn't even do littlemermaid, but again they've been
on haunted mansion.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
Yeah, you did do that
.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
That was early in the
day I got that, so fast, we did
splash mountain and we wellsorry tiana's by adventure.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Yes, yes, I covered
ourselves up again.
Yeah, we had yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
And so we got off and
these people were like this is
the most genius thing I've everheard.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
I was like I gotta
shout out to my friend megan,
who really hooked it up withthese, hooked it up with the
boots, which are the extra ones, right?
Speaker 1 (18:50):
oh, I think we
ordered amanda ordered, oh okay,
but it's a game changer.
The boots are a game changerbecause I can deal with A wet
butt yeah, my shirt being wet,my skirt being out, whatever but
the shoes are the issue and100%.
Speaker 2 (19:05):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
This guy was like
you've changed my life forever
and I will never come here againwithout those boots.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
That's all you need
really.
Yeah, cause it's like worstcase scenario is having your
feet be wet all day.
Yeah, if you aren't preparedwith a change of shoes.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
Right, right, right.
So yeah, there was that.
Then we had another chill day,and then hang by the pool and
stuff.
Yes, and then on Saturday or onSunday, one of the Saturday, we
were like Santa Monica, hang itup.
We, one of the saturday, wewere like santa monicaing it up.
We went.
We started in venice, nice.
(19:39):
We walked the boardwalk to thepier, we rode the roller coaster
twice, twice yes really eagertwice and honestly pretty fast
yeah and it's pretty old andrickety and like just these,
like teenagers are running itand it's kind of like are we
gonna die or yeah, are the boltssecure?
Literally kind of scary, yeah, but then we ate at cheesecake
(20:02):
factory, hell yeah, and we hadan early uh birthday singing to
daphne cute and then we went tobed and then the next day we did
like we played mini golf.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
It was very right by
your house.
Yeah, so nice.
Sherman Oaks Castle Park.
Shout out Sherman.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Oaks Castle Park.
We, it was very hot.
We played a lot of Mario Party.
Cute had a chill day, so it wasa very nice time.
They left Sunday, or they leftMonday they left Monday morning
okay and had a great time.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
I think that you
packed it all in.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
We did, I think.
Um, the only thing I think wasmaybe the large crowds of like
Hollywood Boulevard and of likeVenice Venice was very crowded,
yeah, and I think that that wasa little anxiety inducing, but
other than that, okay prettygood.
So, I know you guys arelistening.
Thank you for coming to hangout with me.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
You think they had
fun?
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Yeah, of course.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Amazing.
It was really nice to finallymeet them.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Yeah, it felt like
you already had.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Yeah, I agree, yeah
it felt very like oh yeah, my
people, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
So that was that, and
then this past week, what
happened up until the 4th ofJuly?
For this past week, whathappened?
Speaker 2 (21:16):
up until the 4th of
July, for you or for me?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Either.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Well, my time has
been spent getting so busy.
I mean, we have had a verydramatic week at work, which I
can't talk about?
Speaker 3 (21:28):
Yeah, I can tell you
off.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
I know people hate
listening to podcasts in the
post We'll talk about it after.
But like legally can't talkabout it on this podcast and
that was like prettyall-consuming.
It was a lot my fitness journey, that I'm on my coach quit,
which was crazy because you knowhow that's drama it's drama.
(21:49):
So this last week was also meinterviewing and choosing a new
coach.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
And I've chosen one.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
Is he okay or like
what?
Speaker 2 (21:58):
He's just he is
changing careers to have more
time with his wife and kids, kind of a thing.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Okay, could have
waited until your time was over.
I mean I have three more monthswith him.
I'm sure he has a lot more.
Yeah, I'm not his only clientno-transcript him and I thought
(22:47):
I was gonna meet last night andI didn't get to, so that sucks
for me.
He's very bummed.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
I told him he has to
because I've pretty much met all
of his friends.
Speaker 3 (22:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
And so he still needs
to meet you, katie, and uh,
angela, and then he will.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, well, megan
yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
But then he will have
met um my LA friends.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
I went to Susanna's
going away party.
It's just been like anemotional time with her.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
And then, um oh fun,
my windshield shattered.
Speaker 1 (23:22):
What?
How so I?
Speaker 2 (23:23):
had a rock hit it
Like when I was headed to the
premiere for big mouth like overa month ago.
Yeah, oh yeah, you said thatrock on the freeway, just like
put quite a like.
When I looked at it after Icould like pick glass out of it.
It was like a boulder kind ofsituation.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:38):
And it was.
If you're looking, you guyslike, oh, it's like a half
dollar size, okay.
And then over the last month acrack has been like going longer
.
I was like, oh, this is goingto need a whole windshield
replacement.
I got a quote $890.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Oh my.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
God Because my
windshield is a smart windshield
that senses lane switching.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
It does Apparently.
Can you be like can I get thedumb one, or what?
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Yeah, no, I didn't
even think about it, it's just a
windshield.
Well, it's so much moreapparently.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Do you even utilize
that?
Speaker 2 (24:07):
So what it is is,
it's not that it has the
technology in it, it's that thecameras in my in like where my
rear view mirror is have to havea certain cutout, so the window
is designed differently, whatever I scheduled the
appointment, because I was likeI can't, I'm I have this phobia
of my windshield shattering inon me yeah, it's giving final
decision yeah, exactly.
So I scheduled the appointmentthe day of.
(24:28):
I'm like, also, my, myinsurance deductible is a
thousand dollars, so it wouldn'thave even mattered to like
submit its insurance.
Yeah, so the technician cancelsthe morning of and needs to
reschedule it, and I was like, okay, fine.
Well then he rescheduled it toa time when I was needed to be
on set longer, so I canceled theappointment.
I was like, whatever, I'm gonnadrive with this till it
shatters, like I also don'treally want to drop nine hundred
(24:49):
dollars right now.
Whatever I was, I had dinnerwith the boy at his place and
when I left his place he livesin like he lives in Hollywood,
and I was going around out andaround this fucking curve hit a
massive pothole and the when shewent, just like three huge
(25:09):
crack lines go across.
I was like, okay, I'm not gonnatempt fate anymore.
Yeah, so I got home and then Iwas like there's gotta be
something cheaper, cause I wentwith the first thing I found.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
I did some research.
I found a company that did itfor $580.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
That's better.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
They came out here on
Friday.
They completely fixed mywindshield right out front.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Took him 30 minutes.
Yeah, they have that thing thatjust like lifts off.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Yeah, exactly, I was
under the impression.
I was like so I can't drive itfor 24 hours, Like I was like
this is throwing a wrench in allof my plans.
He was like no, just don't goin a car wash for a day, that's
all.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
And I was like what
if it rained?
Though?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
He said the adhesive
is waterproof, but they don't
want.
You're not.
You can't go to water.
You can't go in a carwash forthe pressure, not because of the
wetness.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Okay.
Well, now I'm in the clear, okay.
But then I had this fear likewhat if fireworks hit my
windshield?
Well then, that's a spiral forevery day You're absolutely
right.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
So I have a new
windshield spent money.
I wasn't expecting to, but youknow, sometimes that's life.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:11):
And um didn't love
that, but can't have a shattered
windshield.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
No, you know you
gotta drive every day.
We don't live in a place with a.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Absolutely not.
My lease is almost up herealready.
Can you believe that?
Speaker 1 (26:22):
No Wait when.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
It's a six month
lease and I've been here one
more month and it will be sixmonths.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Wow, that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
I still have two
boxes to unpack.
You've done a good job, though, thanks, and I got to go to a
couple events for bear bell, I'mon, whatever I'm kind of on
their pr list now love that umworking on a partnership or a
potential sponsorship forsomething at buzzfeed with them
(26:48):
so and I'm about to have areally busy week of shoots.
Again, I'm doing another redcarpet.
I have two shoots at the officeat the office, and then this
weekend I am meeting myboyfriend's relatives, so I'm
really getting the the wholefamily to uh yeah.
Well, family to uh well, that'svery exciting.
(27:09):
Yes, and I booked a trip toCabo.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Oh, my God For
boyfriend's 40th birthday.
Love and that will be inoctober.
Love that, and that's beeneverything.
So happy, thanks, um.
Just to round out my week yes, hayley's birthday was on the
(27:32):
thursday.
And wait, yes, did we talkabout how I got like, really
drunk?
No okay, so the week?
Hmm, yes, we did.
It was the pacers thing so Ihaven't been able to drink yeah,
yeah, as it goes and I was likeI can't, I still can't do it.
(27:56):
I had like a couple drinks butdrew the line yeah I'm really
happy I did that because I feltgreat yeah, proud of you.
But um, I'll get back to alsoanother reason why I didn't
drink that much.
But hayley's birthday party andthen the fourth I went to
josh's work and listened to agreat rock cover band 80s rock
cover band, and then the watchfireworks.
(28:19):
And then it was yesterday whenwe went to see yesterday we went
to a movie in the park andwatched the princess bride,
which I had seen sometime inhigh school, because I feel like
it was one of those, like myhistory teacher, when it was
gone, like had the sub play itor whatever, but I didn't really
remember the full movie and Ihad a great time the thing with
(28:44):
that movie that I realizedbecause I haven't seen it in
maybe 10 years, but it is was sopopular in my household that I
could still recite every line.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
But what I forgot
about this movie is like when
you watch something like that asa kid, it's very like you know,
kind of in the same not ashumorous, but humor line is like
Monty Python.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:02):
But like as a kid, I
didn't take it like that.
Like I thought it was like see,I can remember the scene where
they're like throwing themselvesdown the hill is so obviously
comical.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Yeah.
But as a kid, kid.
I remember being like, wow, that's crazy.
Like I took the movie seriously.
I think I knew that it wasfunny, but I think that I was
like I, it's like dad funny yeahlike it's like a older
generation and so I just likedon't think I paid attention,
but I thought it was.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I had a great time
like some of the super fun.
Yeah, like some of the dialoguewas.
It's so like obviously.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Also the whole time.
All I could think of of thatmain guy.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
Wesley.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Is that somehow
Austin Butler needs to be play
that role, Like they need tolike reboot it, or like do it
again.
And he is Austin Butler.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Have you seen Saw?
Speaker 1 (29:49):
So I looked,
obviously quickly went to IMDB
and looked up and I did see thathe was in Saw.
But what Saw?
Speaker 2 (29:55):
The first one.
He's like the one with his, like the original Saw.
Speaker 1 (29:58):
I haven't seen that
in so very long, so I don't
really remember it.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
He's also in Twister,
the original Twister.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Yes, he is the
adversary.
Yeah, I have seen like he's, Ilike recognized him and Robin
Wright, of course.
But I couldn't stop thinkingabout Austin Butler and how much
he looks exactly like him, yeah, so Robin Wright yeah,
stanley's having a dream oh,puppers, so that Josh ever seen
(30:26):
it.
I think so yeah, okay yeah itwas a cute.
It was a cute cute crowd, goodmovie yeah, always like the
movies in the park and I do nowthat I've done that one again.
I do prefer the autry museumover the hollywood forever
cemetery, even though it is acool thing that it's in the
cemetery I've never done it so Ican't compare, but I just know
(30:47):
based on the parking parking.
Terrible.
It's a such a smaller space andthey project the movie onto the
side of the building so it'snot as high in the air and it is
like a little harder to see ifyou're not like yeah, we'll say
too.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
I think we also,
because we've done the autry a
handful of times now.
It is pretty obvious by thetime the movie starts and you
like look around and see howmany hundreds of people are
there.
It is important to get therewhen the doors open it is.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
it's like it does
suck to sit there for a couple
hours, if it's, you know it was.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
We were right in
direct sunlight for like an hour
.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, but with a
bigger group I think it goes by
quickly.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
If it's just like two
people.
It's kind of like all rightwe're just sitting here playing
cards or some shit Like what areyou doing?
Speaker 1 (31:37):
No, the outing, yeah
had a good time.
So other things that havehappened since we've recorded is
the bezos wedding did.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
You see, I did things
about this.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
What were your
thoughts?
Speaker 2 (31:42):
um, I was kind of
surprised by some of the people
that were there, like why wassydney sweeney there, girl?
Speaker 1 (31:48):
yes, so people have
talked about this and the, the
deduction what has been deducedis that possibly because amazon
studios, I think, just maybeproduced something that she was
in?
Could be that could be thatthey have like a 19 year old son
, or one of them has a 19 yearold son.
(32:09):
That's like, hey, if you'regetting celebrities, get me
city's mini because, Becauselike duh, totally.
Or maybe Brandy Brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy,
brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy,
brandy, brandy, brandy, brandy,brandy.
(32:30):
Badly about them and somepeople went some people didn't?
Olivia munn, charlie's, they'reon they were the biggest rosie
o'donnell leo dicaprio no, hewent and he was trying to hide
he was.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
He flew in on a
private jet, literally what that
is like.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
one of the biggest um
criticisms I've seen of people
is like he is out here preachingto save the planet, save the
animals, Like he probably does, donate a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
So sure, but then
he's like on his private jet and
he's at Jeff Bezos his wedding, who is contributing poorly to
the environment.
Speaker 2 (33:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
And he, he's not even
doing it with his chest, he's
trying to hide.
He's trying to wear his hat andhide from it.
It's like, then don't go.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Right.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
You had to be there
so badly.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
If you're that
ashamed like you could have
skipped it, or or you could have, you know, flown commercial
yeah fucking crazy I also know Iwas also, because I saw that
coming out.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
I didn't know that
there was also an award show
that leo had gone to where hewas driving his hummer, parked
it far away, got into a priusand then drove the rest of the
way to prius what a that iscrazy, and you know what.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
I only like him as um
jack jack and like it stops
there I did like him in growingpains.
Speaker 2 (34:04):
That was when I first
had a crush on him.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Oh my god I didn't
really watch, but I mean yeah,
you get it though I get it.
He had leo dicaprio hair.
He had jack dawson hair yeah, Ican't really watch what's
Eating Gilbert Grape.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Oh, that's hard,
that's a hard one, that's a hard
one.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Everything like up
until Titanic is like yeah, cute
, cute boy.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
I've never seen the
Island Romeo and Juliet, though.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
You have to watch the
Island Romeo and Juliet, though
you love cults.
You've said this to me before,I know I know, I tell people all
the time Put it on the list.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Yeah, I need to find
out what streaming it's on,
cause I would watch that shitLike.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
You need to because
you are.
You love cults and it is primeLeonardo DiCaprio looks.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Okay, I'm going to
check right now.
Okay, search, it's called theisland, the island.
Oh, there's also the island, the other one.
That's good.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
Is it just called?
Island, maybe I don't know,maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
No, I think it.
The island 2006 no yeah.
That's too old or too new.
I thought you were right.
I thought it was called theIsland.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
The Beach, the Beach
Same thing, thank you.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Thank you, the Beach.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Tilda Swinton is in
it 2000.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
I was about to say
10-year-old she is the leader.
Tilda.
Speaker 1 (35:32):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
Fun Okay, it is
available to stream on Probably
nothing.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, fun Okay, it is
available to stream on Probably
nothing Prime Amazing Tonight.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Prime.
It's available to stream onPrime.
Okay, I'll watch it.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
Cute.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
I refuse to believe
that his life went on after
Titanic because he just turnedinto a creep and like a fraud.
Yeah, and I, I hate it.
Hate, it turned into a creepand like a fraud, yeah, and I I
hate it.
Hate it, leo god.
Okay, but anyway, and likeeveryone is like talking about
how they spent like 40 milliondollars, but like it's ugly,
yeah I will say like her dressgot criticism.
(36:07):
I don't think it's ugly.
I just don't think it feelslike it to italy in the summer.
Right.
It like felt like a winterheavy wedding gown yes I don't
think it matched and everyone inattendance was giving hunger
games like it just felt um forsome reason.
I'm sure there are other richweddings that maybe don't feel
(36:32):
like this, but it just felt likea little what's it called Um
opulent excess.
No, what are those?
Well, all the movies calleddystopian dystopian.
You knew where I was going.
It felt dystopian in terms of,like, all of the rich people and
the weird dresses and all ofthat.
(36:53):
But it's like if she has badtastes, like that's fine, Like I
don't know that, I'm here to belike you, your wedding is ugly
and you're stupid for it.
Everyone has different tastes.
She is rich enough that shecould have maybe hired a wedding
planner.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Yeah, but if she was
10 toes down on like this is
what I want for my wedding, thenI don't care.
I just care that, like theyhave that much money and they,
they could have done it for a10th of that and it would have
still been a more rich weddingthan anyone else could do, other
(37:35):
than those people in MumbaiRight, which they didn't get
that much hate, which is weird.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
True.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Maybe because they
aren't American, slash also
these big company CEOs orwhatever.
I think that's a bigger thing.
But I just thought it was aninteresting thing.
But honestly, what was moreinteresting is that I didn't see
(38:02):
one single thing about it untilpeople started hating.
So it's like they're kind ofout of my um zeitgeist.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
Yeah, they're not in
your realm.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I didn't see anything
, not a single thing, until
people started being likeactually same.
This is ugly.
Yeah same, which I did.
I was like you know what Goodjob.
I'll send you your for you page, brick by brick, and it didn't
include Jeff Bezos.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
That's very nice.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Even though I did
order something from Amazon.
Yeah, it's really hard to notto.
Yeah Also, something else thathappened since we have recorded
is that Diddy's trial has ended.
Do you know the outcome?
Speaker 2 (38:40):
I know that he was
acquitted of like or three of
the five charges were dropped.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
Yes, he was found not
guilty of the racketeering sex
trafficking sex trafficking andsomething else.
Um, I think that maybe there wasa couple counts of sex
trafficking okay but, but likehe is still, he still could get
up to 20 years yeah, he wasfound guilty of two counts of
transportation to engage inprostitution, which could get
(39:08):
him 20 years, but probably willnot, even if he's um sentenced
to that like he'll probably getout sooner because obviously we
have too many people in prisonand he is rich and famous and
could be pardoned by Trump orcould just be let out on good
behavior.
I'm doing that in quotes andjust use his influence to get
(39:32):
him out, so it's like I justwonder if there's a career to
even be had after this hedoesn't need to, because he's
created such a large empire thathe can live off of it that's
true, unless I guess he spinsinsanely and everyone's not
buying sarok who's buying sarokme?
(39:54):
I don't think I've even neverhad it.
Speaker 2 (39:57):
I don't know that I
have either.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Maybe it is good, but
like if it was good, more
people would be having it.
It's true, hey, to be reallyhonest about everything, yes,
but sad because I just feel likethe victims.
I'm just like to have gonethrough that and then to be, you
(40:18):
know, be able to be on thestand and get to at least like
tell your side of the story fromthe prosecutions, like
obviously the defense is goingto ask and try to make them look
discredit, like discredit whatthey're saying but the
prosecution, like at least wastrying to let them say what
happened to them and get it outthere.
(40:40):
Yeah, and then for a jury to belike yeah, we just like don't
know if we believe, or likethere's not enough evidence.
So like sorry, yeah, it's justthat really sucks.
Yeah, for because one of theJane does or whatever I saw
something about like heallegedly um, dragged her by her
(41:03):
hair and and it's just likethat's and and forced her to
like have relations or whateverin the, in these freak off
situation, like that obviouslyis illegal, right, it's not okay
.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
And for the jury.
I understand, you know, I was ajuror once.
Speaker 2 (41:28):
Yeah, that's true,
you're experienced.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
I understand where
it's like.
This is a really heavyallegation and for the defense
to have done well at their job,I guess to put doubt into the
jurors minds and to be like well, no, I can't say 100 that this
is that because, from what Iheard, racketeering was like
(41:51):
such a hard thing.
Did you know what racketeeringcame from?
Speaker 2 (41:55):
no, what did it come
from?
Speaker 1 (41:56):
I, so this is from
josh and this is also me hearing
three-fourths of it.
Yeah, yeah, okay, andprocessing that amount.
But it didn't exist before, like the, like, the mob era, the
mafia era, because there wasn'treally.
They were doing so many illegalthings that I think that the
(42:20):
government had to createracketeering as a way to like
encompass all of the illegalactivity they were doing, cause
it was too much, and so it waslike a way to a way to um
qualify what, like, people inthe mafia were doing back then.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
Okay, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
As like an all
encompassing, like illegal act.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
Right, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
So it didn't exist,
like really until then, which is
interesting, but it feels likeit was a quintessential thing
here and the jury, I guess, likejust didn't, didn't get yeah
believe it.
So I don't know, maybe there'smore to happen, with other
people coming, yeah, forward, oror do they just keep suing him
(43:09):
and he just keeps settling?
right, I don't know because it'sso he has so much money and a
person off the street who wasaffected by this and was a
victim, to then be like I'mgoing to sue you, like they
don't have that much money tocombat him, so like he with it
being a federal thing, like thefeds had obviously the means to
(43:30):
do that, but like a regularperson that's just going to sue
him, like they're going to haveto settle Right and then he just
is going to.
It's going to be a continuousthing unless the feds like find
new things against him, they cancharge him with something new.
Right, I don't know.
It's a loss for sure for thegood guys.
(43:52):
Yeah, but he was denied bail,so he like isn't out of jail.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
He's a flight risk.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
Yeah, because he
could just get on one of his
private jets and go to a countrythat can't get him Yep, so good
on them for doing that.
But yeah, those were the bigthings that we hadn't got to
talk about yet.
I think we have some speakpipes.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Well, do you have an
a-list of the week?
Speaker 1 (44:18):
oh, are you gonna
sing?
Speaker 2 (44:20):
a-list.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
A-list of the week oh
, it's different every time.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
Yeah, have you not
noticed that?
No oh I really didn't.
So it's time for a-list.
Speaker 1 (44:32):
A-list of the week I
really didn't have one, but the
princess bride is a good one.
If you haven't seen it, or ifyou haven't seen in a long time,
honestly watch it.
Because I thought I was likenot gonna.
It was, I thought it was justsomething for me to just be with
my friends and I was like notgonna care about the movie, but
I actually had a great timewatching it I have a theory with
(44:53):
that too.
Speaker 2 (44:53):
The movie was not
long.
Speaker 1 (44:55):
Remember back then
movies used to be an hour 20
minutes, no hour and a halfmovie yeah, the best time.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
It's like oh, wow,
yeah.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Some of them aren't
because old I, since I've been
on the star Wars journey which Ihaven't watched another one in
a while, but they are kind oflong and I am tired just
watching them.
Speaker 2 (45:11):
It's a lot of things
to take in in those movies.
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Yeah, but a good 90
minute movie Hell yeah, perfect
time, hell yeah.
Yeah, I also had.
Uh, sorry, sorry no no go.
I was reminded of the TraderJoe's chocolate covered pretzels
, also because I had a bag ofthem sitting there last night.
Speaker 2 (45:30):
Why didn't you have
some Well cause didn't you have
some?
Well, because you gave me acookie and it was and I was
enough.
Speaker 1 (45:33):
It was great, yeah,
so good.
I was reminded of how good theyare, and so that's also my
second a list of the weekchocolate covered pretzels from
trader specifically the traderjoe's ones, because the
chocolate is good, but if youdon't have, a trader, joe's near
you, then any would suffice I'msure I don't like the chocolate
on, sorry to say, it flips yeahI just don't like that
(45:53):
chocolate very much.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Yeah, I feel like the
trader, joe's chocolate seems a
little bit more like swiss, like uh, yes that style of
chocolate I agree and it's salty, salty, sweet yes, um my, my a
list of the week is linen pants,so I'm wearing some right now
oh my god I actually live inlinen pants I finally wore my
(46:16):
first pair.
Speaker 1 (46:17):
Don't you love them.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
I.
Speaker 1 (46:19):
It's not my style
normally but I decided to see
them on this outfit.
Speaker 2 (46:22):
I bought this outfit
from Zara and the boyfriend
gassed me up before I went outto Jordan's birthday and he said
, yes, you look so good in thatyou must wear that.
And I was like, okay.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
I love this for you.
I can't say enough good thingsabout linen pants.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
You are a linen pants
biggest fans.
You wore them last night too.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
Yes, because here's
the thing Dress them up, dress
them down in the summer.
Speaker 2 (46:43):
They're breezy.
Speaker 1 (46:44):
They're breezy in the
winter, not that cold.
I mean I, if I were in Indiana, maybe different, but here
specifically, yeah, justperfectly, yeah, just like so
versatile.
They do crinkle and wrinkle.
Speaker 2 (47:01):
But if you have a way
to fix that, if you've got a
steamer, a steamer, an iron.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
I have my
whatchamacallit iron like the
straightener, like kind just aquick little.
Yeah, even throw them in the.
I wouldn't recommend the dryer, but if you have the, you know
setting on your dryer, that justfluffs and wrinkles a little
bit that, because I don't drymine, so don't dry yours.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
Would I ever dry my
pants?
Speaker 1 (47:21):
No, I actually only
stopped not drying things when I
met you, because of me, yeah, but I love linen pants, so I am
very happy for you.
Speaker 2 (47:28):
It's a new journey
for me.
I have two pair Wow, and theones that were also Forest Green
.
You ever see me in that?
No.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
No Wow.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
I'll show you the
picture.
It's kind of a fly outfit.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
I'm excited you are
good at outfits no not like this
.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
This is not something
I would have worn.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
That's true, but it's
good for you, it is good for me
and I got complimented at therestaurant.
You're growing up.
I'm growing up finally gettingout of the skinny jeans.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
So yeah, linen pants.
Speaker 3 (47:58):
Okay, so happy for
that.
That actually really made mehappy.
Speak, pipe our life away.
Hi, alex, and alex, it's cooperfrom the gold coast in
australia.
I have two questions for bothof you.
Allison, how did you find thefitness martial and do you like
dancing?
Alex, do you like your job andI love your podcast.
(48:24):
Keep up the good work, both ofyou thank you, cooper.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
Yes thank you very
much.
Speaker 2 (48:31):
I was it how I found
the fitness martial how you
found the fitness martial andhow you found the fitness
marshal, and how do you likedance?
Speaker 1 (48:37):
I, the fitness
marshal found me.
I was gonna say I feel like oneday um, so if you're new here,
um, caleb the fitness marshal,uh, myself and hayley, jordan 12
, we all went.
We're all from the samehometown and we all went to high
school together.
Um, ish, hayley was a was notin high school when I was a
(49:00):
senior, but we in college.
I was there an extra year so wewent to the same college and
then we were in college together.
So we all grew up together samedance studios, like we just
were all in each other's livesat some point.
Uh, and then when caleb startedthe fitness marshal in at the
end of his college career, hejust started asking his friends
to be in the videos and I wasone of those friends at one
(49:23):
point.
And then, when it started beinga serious thing of touring and
going all over the country, thenI became a regular and then I
moved to LA too.
Speaker 2 (49:35):
That became full-time
for you in like 21?
.
Speaker 1 (49:38):
Yeah, full-time in
2021.
And, of course, I love dancing.
I don't think I could be doingthis if I didn't, because
everything that comes along withbeing on the internet sometimes
isn't great, so I have to lovedancing in order to continue
doing it, because if not, thenthe negative stuff would
(50:00):
outweigh the positive.
So, um, yeah, of course I loveit and speaking out of loving
dancing.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
Or you're subbing
soon, right?
Speaker 1 (50:08):
oh my god, yeah, I
forgot to say that.
No, it already happened, sosorry guys.
Rewind to this week so I did aguest teaching spot.
My friend Devin just opened uphis own dance studio in West
Hollywood and asked me if Iwanted to teach a class.
So I taught a jazz contemporary.
We called it jazz fusionbecause my dance style is kind
(50:31):
of contemporary but kind ofjazzy, I guess more contemporary
, okay than that.
But they already had acontemporary person teaching, so
I think we went towards thejazz fusion of it all.
Um, but I taught that onthursday afternoon.
I had a full day on thursday wehad a live stream.
I went and taught this class andthen um hayley's birthday, so,
(50:52):
yeah, it was nice and I'm gonnado another one.
Okay, at some point I think hehas a grand opening happening
that I might be a part of, justlike in a small number thing.
No, it's like uh, he is havinglike 30 minute spots of people
can come take like short classes, basically just like learn a
(51:13):
little bit, um, and get to knowsome of the teachers, but I I
think I said maybe towards theend of the month or early august
I might do another one, so Iwill keep everyone abreast did
you enjoy that I did.
I was, I think, like goingforward.
I'll be like more, I was less.
I was very stressed because Ihadn't taught a class other than
the school.
(51:33):
But a full like hour and a halfclasses a lot.
Speaker 2 (51:36):
Did anyone you know
took it?
Take it.
Speaker 1 (51:38):
Yes, Um my friend Sal
did.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
Oh fun.
Speaker 1 (51:41):
Yeah, so there was
that, okay, your behalf of the
question.
Do you like what you do?
Speaker 2 (51:47):
I do like what I do.
It's been a long road coming,In fact, so I think I told you
guys how I got the job that Ihad interviewed for last year.
That said that passed.
They came back and they werelike we actually do want you.
I talked to them, had a reallygood conversation.
Ultimately, I'm turning themdown because they just don't
want to pay the rate.
That would make it worth it forme to put efforts in and that's
(52:08):
fine.
I was already prepared for itto not totally align, but it was
nice to get the validation oflike we made a mistake.
We should have gone.
Um, because if they, if I hadgone with them, I wouldn't be
where I am now at Buzzfeed.
Yeah, Life would have beendifferent totally different and
everything that I'm doing now atBuzzfeed is leading to be like
a pretty awesome rest of theyear and future.
So, yes, I do love what I doand I'm liking it more and more
(52:32):
every week.
So I'm excited to see, likewhen it starts to level out,
because right now, I am very, very busy.
I'm still working two jobs andI want to just be working one
ultimately, but also I'm stillgetting back on my feet and
building things back up.
Speaker 1 (52:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (52:49):
Which, because of
these two situations I'm in,
we'll be able to actually do.
So, I'm excited about that andI do love what I do.
Speaker 1 (52:57):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
Tomorrow Stanley
meets, so thank you Sorry.
Thank you, cooper.
Thank you for sending those in,sending those questions in.
Thank you for listening.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yes, thank you.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
The.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
Gold Coast sounds.
Speaker 2 (53:11):
It's on my list.
It's always in my top three.
Speaker 1 (53:13):
Yeah, it's just so
expensive to eat to Australia.
Speaker 2 (53:15):
No, I know Dammit.
Speaker 1 (53:16):
Stanley's meeting
someone.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Tomorrow Stanley's
meeting, max.
Max His potential new on-callbabysitter.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (53:24):
So I found someone.
He seems really cool, he's veryclose to here, he's a personal
trainer, so his schedule isreally flexible.
Nice and he's coming over hereto meet Stanley in the morning,
because I'm about to be in Vegasand I'm just like I just want
him to go somewhere where he canjust like stay the whole time
yeah and I don't have to stressabout it, and we'll see.
Speaker 1 (53:47):
I have high hopes, I
have a backup person in case Max
is okay, but we hope, because, max, it seems serendipitous for
you yeah I've exactly I vettedhim.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
He has great reviews.
He was really communicativewith me and, like stanley, loves
women but he is typicallyreally great with like guys
right away of course and I likethat max lives like less than a
mile from here, so it's like Iknow he's close.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
Yeah, there's ever an
issue or whatever yeah, so
anyway, well, I have high, Ihave high hopes for you guys me
too, me too would you like tohear the birthdays for today?
Speaker 2 (54:19):
happy birthday.
I have no voice ringo star is85.
Speaker 1 (54:24):
He doesn't look 85 to
me I'm sorry, two beetles are
still alive yes interesting, Ithought it was just paul no,
paul and ringo are still alive, george, john and there were only
four.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
There were only four.
They are past john jacobjingleheimer schmidt and schmidt
, yeah, 85 tom scandoval whojust performed an x factor is 42
.
Speaker 1 (54:50):
Yeah, jim gaffigan,
it's only men really, uh 59 okay
and then, uh, justentertainment wise, the movie
rookie of the year came out in1993.
Did you watch that?
I so many times I was gonna sayI feel like this was a gay
awakening for you or like a doyou have a crush on him?
On dennis quaid well, yeah, noon the kid there's a kid rookie
(55:16):
of the year.
Yeah, that's the whole thingrookie of the year are you
thinking of angels in theoutfield?
no, you are no rookie of theyear is this kid who breaks his
arm.
He's in little league.
He breaks his arm and then itheals weird.
And all of a sudden he canthrow like a million miles an
hour of the year yeah, and thenthey put him on the car, or they
(55:37):
put him on the angels right, oroh, no, dodgers angels.
Speaker 2 (55:42):
I'm sorry, cubs, hold
on is it rookie of the year?
The one with dennis quaid, where he's like an old dude,
that's like still got a greatpitching arm.
So he goes on to it.
Speaker 1 (55:50):
Yeah, he's in it.
He is the old pitcher that theykick to the curb when they hire
the new one.
Speaker 2 (55:57):
No, wait a minute,
wait a minute.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
Are we thinking of
someone else?
Speaker 2 (56:02):
Dennis Quaid is in
the movie.
Speaker 1 (56:04):
Dennis Quaid Hold,
everyone hold, okay.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
You're right.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
Gary Busey is the
person that's in this movie, but
also but it's the Cubs that heplays for.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
And it is the arm.
Yeah, please type in the rookie.
Speaker 1 (56:24):
Yes, but you, you're
thinking of that, but you didn't
think that boy was cute.
Speaker 2 (56:26):
Oh, now that I know
who you're talking about, yes,
Okay, good.
I was like no, as a kid spencer, or abigail, no, not spencer
the guy from two and a half men?
Who's that?
The kid from two and a half men?
The half man from two and ahalf men?
Speaker 1 (56:42):
okay, the rookie
dennis quaid is a disney movie
yes and true story about a coachwho discovers that it's never
too late for dreams to come true.
Jim morris never made it out ofthe minor leagues before a
shoulder injury ended hispitching career.
12 years Now, a married manwith high school uh, with high
school chemistry teacher andbaseball coach in Texas.
(57:03):
That is not a right sentence,Jim.
Jim's team makes a deal withhim.
If they win the districtchampionship, Jim will try out
for the major leagueorganization.
I have also seen that.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
And his son is played
by that half man from two and a
half men.
Speaker 1 (57:15):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (57:17):
It's a good movie.
I kind of want to watch itagain.
Speaker 1 (57:18):
I bet it's on Disney
plus it is Um, but I think
rookie of the year is a bettermovie.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
Different.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
And Gary Busey has
Dennis Quaid like features,
meaning they're just white menwith kind of blondish, brownish
hair.
Sure, but he is the pitcher whogets kicked to the curb when
they put the, the kid in got it.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Wow, I'm really glad
we worked yeah that was crazy.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
What a journey.
Um other than that scary moviecame out in 2000 and speak now.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Taylor's version was
released in 2023, on this day I
was gonna say two years ago twoyears ago and I bought that
vinyl right up because and now, since she owns all of her things
now.
Now we're not getting taylor'sversion she said she would if
the fans want them, and I'm like, obviously, yeah, well, of
course with them.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
She apparently hasn't
even finished recording, um
because she knew she was gettingher master's?
I think so because she didn't.
Speaker 2 (58:09):
She finished
reputation, though, so give us
rep.
I think that really it's justthe vault tracks people.
Speaker 1 (58:12):
Yeah, more than
anything.
Yes, yeah, I don't think thatshe, it's just the vault tracks
People.
Speaker 2 (58:15):
Yeah, more than
anything.
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (58:16):
I don't think that
she needs the full.
Speaker 2 (58:18):
Yes, she does.
Speaker 1 (58:19):
Oh, cause her voice
is different?
I?
Speaker 2 (58:20):
want to hear debut
with adult Taylor voice.
Speaker 1 (58:22):
That's fair yeah.
Speaker 2 (58:23):
Here in teardrops on
my guitar with her like adult
voice.
Speaker 1 (58:25):
Yeah, that's fair I
want it.
Speaker 3 (58:37):
And like, our song is
a slamming screen door.
Speaker 1 (58:38):
I want it.
I was in the pool yesterdaygetting a little bit of sun,
very good, and I listened to Ididn't have my phone next to me
so it was just like playing inmy headphones and I had like
taylor radio playing and the alltoo well 10 minute version came
on and I listened to it in fulland, wow, so depressing so sad
so sad.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
I'm actually in a
good place right now and I don't
want to be listening to this.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
Like I'm sad, yeah,
anyway, okay, well, that's that
on that.
Speaker 2 (59:03):
That's all that and
that.
Sorry guys, this is pop culturenews and I have to share it.
Hold the presses.
Yes, I was in Manhattan beachfor the 4th of July.
Not once, not twice, but threetimes I stood next to an Amanda
Bynes and Amanda Bynes.
Speaker 1 (59:17):
What'd she smell like
?
Speaker 2 (59:18):
Didn't quite catch
the scent.
Speaker 1 (59:20):
That's good, but she
didn't smell badly then.
Speaker 2 (59:22):
No Three sightings of
Amanda.
She lives right there inManhattan beach.
And she was on the beach witheveryone.
She was well.
We had like walked by the icecream shop to go home, hugged
the person she was with, goodbye.
What was she wearing?
Don't, I didn't clock theoutfit, but it's just like very
sad.
You like look at her and you go, just like with Brittany, we
(59:43):
fucking failed this girl.
Speaker 1 (59:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
And we but she's like
the group I was with was like.
I just want to say to her webelieve you.
Speaker 1 (59:50):
I know is like doing
things that she likes to do.
She doesn't seem as manic,right?
But she.
We've just lost her because, again, just like with britney,
she was on copious amounts oflithium yeah and it's ruined her
brain yeah, but she's doingnails right or hair or something
and she's like having a goodtime that I don't know I think
she does like nails now oh, andshe does art.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
She didn't look like
she didn't look like she was
happy with someone.
Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Yeah, well, that's
exciting I mean what a sighting.
Wow, you should have led withthat.
Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
And then also then
saw Freddie and Harry.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Oh, our friends.
Yeah, our friends.
That is Freddie Prince Jr.
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
So I saw Freddie, I
was like Freddie and he was like
the first thing out of hismouth.
You'll always be my coach.
Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
