Speaker 1 (00:02):
I was just thinking about you asking if I got cat
keys.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I was like here.
Let me see, oh, she's at Kohl's.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, I was like going to leave early anyway.
So when you text me I waswalking out the door, but I was
going to the Dollar Tree, okay.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Did you like the 99 cent only store?
Are you Dollar Tree girly?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm kind of a Dollar Tree girl, because that's what I
.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Back home.
Yeah, that's what I know.
It's the beast we know, but Iwent.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
I did go to that one when it was a 99 cent only.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
When we lived over on Lancashire 99, only 99 cent 99
cent only store.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Why wasn't it only 99 cent?

Speaker 2 (00:40):
I don't know, because it also nothing was, just like
the.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Dollar Tree is now what?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
$1.75?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
$1.25.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Ah, okay, some things I think are more.
No, but there used to be a dayso when my dad owned the Radio
Shack franchise.
It was like in this area, behind a small patch of woods,
was a Walmart that had a DollarTree next to it.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
And there was a path through the woods to go from my
the back of the radio shack tothe Walmart.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Hey, siblings, if you're listening a path through
the woods to Narnia to Walmartand Dollar Tree.
Walmart, walmart Nia.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Walmart Nia.
So my dad, if he was evergetting really sick of us at the
store and like needed us to go,he would give us a $5 bill and
let us go pick out somethingfrom Dollar Tree.
You just can't do that anymore.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
What would you get?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Oh anything.
Once I got an angel figurine, Idon't know why because I was in
a trinket.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Not like candy, no, I never got.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Nathan and Abby would always get candy.
But Kayla and I were like whatkind of stationery do I need?
You know, I got a um the lastthing I remember getting was an
inflate, was a blow-up uh pillowfor the bathtub.
So I've been ivy loving bathsmy whole life that does track
right and it was shaped like aseashell oh, anyway, the point

(01:55):
of that is you can't send fourchildren with a five dollar bill
to get one thing each dollartree anymore yeah, because was
there not tax on it back then?
Yeah, huh, five cents.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
Five cents.
So, oh, there's four, only fourof you.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, so the last dollar was for the tax.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
That's true.
You can't do that.
You have to send 10.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
You wouldn't, you'd have to send 10, maybe eight,
maybe eight.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Point is Speaking of no.
That's not a good segue, but Ido have to tell you something.
I have learned that my LeBubuwas fake.
I have a LeFufu.
I'm so upset.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
No, fucking way.
How did you learn this?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I posted so I was able to find the audio.
Oh, you were, because I wasvlogging.
While I did it, I vlogged mywhole thing, so I just took the
audio from the vlog and put itover the video that was that a
nightmare?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
did you figure it out ?
No, it was so great.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Okay, good, good and I uploaded my tiktok and
immediately people were likefake, fake they were like so
sorry to tell you, but it's fakeno fucking way.
And I was like, wait, how?
First of all, how do I know?
Because the like Pop Mart logowas on it.
There was on the foot.

(03:07):
It said Pop Mart, it everything.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I'm shocked.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
It's so, it's so close.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Where did you buy it from?

Speaker 1 (03:14):
eBay.
But that's because people arehaving to resell them, because I
didn't think anything of it.
Because people are having toresell them because they're um
selling out so much on on thewebsite.
And people are having to resellthem because they're selling
out so much on the website.
Yeah, yeah.
And people are buying them toresell them like they do.
Everything else, correct?
Yeah, so it wasn't weird to me,right?
Because people are buying themon Facebook Marketplace.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
And like how do you know that's real or not?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
What were the tells and?

Speaker 1 (03:36):
that's why I was telling you when you were like,
oh, to be fake, because they'retoo hard to get for people just
to be like, oh I have them atthis kiosk, yeah, but in the on
eBay I was like, yeah, peopleare doing this on purpose to
they're buying a bunch of themon when it drops on the website,

(03:57):
and then they're reselling them.
So I was like this is probablynormal Right.
And then I didn't keep thepackaging because I didn't know
I was supposed to, and I guessin the real boxes there's a QR
code and something in it, but Iwas like I just threw it away,
so I can't even tell that.
They told me that the ears aretoo far apart.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
What the kids know.
This yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Whoa.

Speaker 1 (04:22):
And there's something else that was like a major,
like a really easy tell yeah.
And on the foot, the imprint.
The imprint of the pot Mar ismore pronounced, I guess, on the
real one.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You have a foo foo.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
I have a fake, but it looks close enough.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Do they make the fake ones in the same like colors
and category?

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Exactly no it is literally it.
The ears are just too far apart, like everything else is normal
, and it was shedding a lot andthey were like that's also an
indication because it's not asgood quality oh my god, but she
was soft yeah, but like when Itouched her, like it she shed
interesting.

Speaker 3 (04:59):
So I'm really sorry it's okay, I it looks so close
that people would have to reallyDo you still have an itch?

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I kind of do want to get a real one, but I'm not.
I haven't purchased one I went.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
I saw a new person for my hair Cause you know she's
very into lulus and educated meon a lot of it.
And she said, cause she hassome, a couple of them, on
pre-order and they don't evenship the pre-order from the
actual pop mart.
Uh, she's not going to havethem.
She's in the first wave andit's not shipping until the
second week of October.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Well, what I was just about to say is I think there's
a drop that happens at seven.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
What.
So let me go to the you shouldset an alarm at the app.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
Yeah, you have to buy them on the app.
On the website it says it canonly be purchased through the
app.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Have you been to the Pop Mart store in the mall yet?
I?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
didn't, because it had a security guard and I was
not about to go in there.
It's a really small store so Icould see it.
Let me just search.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
I wonder if the employees hoard them in the back
and it's kind of like getting aBirkin where you can't really
like ask about it.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
You have to, they have to vet you.
Yeah, okay, I need to type inwas it big monster?

Speaker 2 (06:14):
Little monsters.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
No Big into energy.

Speaker 2 (06:18):

Speaker 2 (07:14):

That's just naturally becomethe way, the way we do it.
It is different from any otherpodcaster I've listened to I
don't know if that's a goodthing.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
We are talking over each other and that is yeah, if
they're new, they have no ideawhat we're saying, but sure.

Speaker 2 (07:31):

Welcome back, Welcome back to California.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:51):
Tell the people what you did.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Oh yeah, you guys.
So I gave the.
I do think I said I was goingto be having a week in Vegas.
Well, I just got.
I've completed that week inVegas, okay.
Okay, I worked on Monday, Idropped Nope, yep.
And then Tuesday began like areally long Vegas week, which,
again, if you've been listeningto this pod, you know that one
of my favorite places in thewhole world is Las Vegas.
So, and I hadn't been well, ithad been a month because I was

(08:14):
there for the AMAs, but prior tothat I didn't.
I haven't gone to.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
Vegas in over a year.
Prior to that, since I met you, you've been like I have to go
to Vegas, it's calling me, Ihave to dance at the club.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
It's so fun.
Okay, I love Vegas.
Anyway, Tuesday got up droppedStanley at the sitter, was
pretty nervous but he did great,he's here, Everything's normal.
And then we drove, drove to LasVegas.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
How long?

Speaker 2 (08:38):
We got there so fast.
Four hours 20 minutes.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I thought it was like three hours.
I thought it was like threehours.

Speaker 2 (08:42):
That's Palm Springs.
Palm Springs is two withouttraffic Vegas if you're lucky is
four and a half hours.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Dang, there's no train.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
No, but it's being built right now, but it leaves
out of Santa Clarita.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Oh, you said drive up to Santa Clarita.
It's not that far from here, tobe honest.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
Drive park, get in the train.
I think they said the trainwill take six hours, but at
least you don't have to likedrive and it's scenic I'd rather
drive, but they're doing itlike to be a scenic train oh,
not a bullet train I don't knowit should be fast.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
What no one cares about, it is fast it's stop,
it's gonna have stops.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
It's like stopping in palmedale and I don't know,
okay, anyway, point is we drovefour hours, 20 minutes record
time.
We get to to our hotel, mgmGraham.
Here's my review.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
You didn't say the Aria.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Never, always stay at the Aria if you can, but never
stay at the MGM Grand.
What an awful hotel.
Really Is it just so old, butnow that I think that's what it
is, and like they wererenovating a lot of the rooms,
but we were in a room that wasso unbelievably hot that none of
us slept the first night.
Um, I think my, I got likemaybe three and a half four

(09:47):
hours.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Did you think about going down to the?

Speaker 2 (09:52):
office, we complained our asses off and we're told
that the oh, it doesn't getcooler than 76.
And I was like just becauseit's summer in Nevada, but also
that's a lie, like if thethermostat can go down to 65,
then the air can go down to 65.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
They just were trying to save money.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
No, they were just trying to not have to fix
something that was broken, soI'm not going to get into the
nitty gritty of all this.
But they sent two maintenancemen.
The first one gas lit us andsaid that he changed a coil and
fixed a filter.
And we're good.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
And then we were like we're like getting ready for
Gaga.
It's still not cooling off.
Karina calls down.
She's like send someone else.
We want to be here this time.
Send them in the next 20minutes, please.
And they did.
This guy was so nice, he openedit up and he was like the
filter is changed, I'll show you, but the coil was not changed
and I'll be honest with you,uh-oh, yeah.
So he was so nice, yeah, and he, he did change the motor and a

(10:52):
coil and we.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
That night we were able to get it down to 71, so
way better than 78, which wasthe first and no fans, no fans
they don't do, they do theydon't do that they definitely
have to have fans because, like, what if the like bath floods or
something?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
oh, that was the other thing our pipe in the
bathroom was leaking perfect soit's just bad yeah and then.
But the cabana incredible.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
And I went to the gym every morning, gym terrible and
that's that I would imagineexcept no, not at mgm I just
feel like it's so old it has tobe one of the originals, right?
Park mgm is the older one ohokay, what's it like, are they
not?
Their sister hotels but they'renot next to each other they're
across from each other josh is abig fan of the cosmopolitan.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
That's like that's where we, just that's your.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
His aria is the cosmopolitan.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Very similar, yeah very similar um the arias beds
are just unmatched and I'm sorrybut they're just unmatched I
wouldn't know so gaga.
You guys was incredible.
We saw the opening night of thetour.
It was insane opening.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
Was there any like special surprises for the
opening?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
no, literally nothing , except that the surprise was
she went on 45 minutes late.
Um yeah, uh, no, yeah, surprise.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
That sucks, because when did it start?
Well, the thing is likeeveryone was.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
they were so strictly like doors at seven, concert
promptly at eight, and even thenI was like what?

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Did she have?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
an opener?
No openers.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
So we left our hotel, we stayed at MGM, mostly
because it was within walkingdistance, less than half a mile,
same side of the road which youknow at Vegas.
No, you don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
But in Vegas if you have to get somewhere on the
other side.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
It is a whole thing.
They have bridges every sooften, but if you're not in one
of the hotels near them, it's alot of walking.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Oh, there's not a crosswalk inside.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
There is no the crosswalks no, not in the main
track.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Someone call it the strip.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
The strip yes, Not in that main strip.
So anyway, we walked there.
We left our hotel at 6.50 andwe were outside until 7.50
standing in a line to get tosecurity.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Oh, you couldn't even go in?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
No, because it was so bottlenecked.
It was like everyone in thecourtyard of the T-Mobile arena
trying to get down to foursecurity lines.
It was stupid.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Yeah, they fixed a lot of kinks 118 degrees?

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Nope, this is the risk you run with opening nights
of things.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah, because they for sure for the next night.
They fixed it.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Randomly didn't know it, but our tickets were part of
a special section, the Bud likelounge section.
So once we were in throughsecurity, we had our own
entrance, our own bar, privatebathrooms, like we never had to
wait for anything, and the seatswere really great, like it was
a really uh, we had plenty of.
Once we got in, we had time topee, cool off, get a drink, get
in our seat.
Right before her pre-show likevideo started which was like 15

(13:42):
minutes long.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
So her being late was good, because you weren't even
in there.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
That is definitely why they didn't start it, cause
we were.
Yeah, by the time we gotthrough security, the courtyard
was still filled with people.
Yeah, so it was going to belike I don't think, like the
arena didn't even look that fullto me until she started her
second song.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
Yeah, but what I'm wondering is this can't be the
first show.
That's there, right?
Right so if they know how manytickets were sold, true they've
had other concerts yes why?
Why would it be miss handled, mismanaged, like that?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
I don't know if they expected, like everyone's- fan
groups are different you knowwhat I mean.
And like no one was beingunruly, but like maybe they
expected the fans would line upearlier.
But again, it's in the Vegasheat.
Who's doing that?

Speaker 3 (14:29):
No, like we're not going until doors open.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Yeah 118 anyway.

Speaker 1 (14:33):
The show oh hold.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Holding.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
They didn't have any of fans no, literally none.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
But everyone was in good spirits.
The fans were nice um.
Karina got a tap on hershoulder like literally, the
show just starts she has a tapon her shoulder hey, I can't see
anything over you.
Can you just stand back againstyour seat?

Speaker 1 (14:58):
not even to you.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
She was like no, get better seats because, also
karina was standing in my seatarea, so yeah if we had gone
back, it would have been me,which is like four inches worse
yeah and karina's her credit.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
You just know that going to a concert like it's
like you.
It's a risk that you take goingto a stand-up concert.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
We are with emma and justine, who are your height
yeah they're like we just know, when you go to a show, you just
find your window yeah and it was.
I mean, it ended up being fine, but it was like oh, of course.
Karina literally just said mybiggest fear is like and I was
like oh, mine too yeah beingtall and in a concert is the
worst.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
And at the backstreet boys concert the couple behind
me left oh yeah, anyway, gagawas amazing yeah, you can't,
it's just something you have toand, like Karina, didn't wear
heels either.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
She was like trying to really make herself be small
and I was in fucking platformboots.
Anyway, gaga's set was amazing.
The girls had seen her atCoachella, so they were.
They were like the first twoacts, because it was four acts
in a finale.
The first two acts were exactlylike Coachella, and then, act
three, everything changed, so wegot some art pop like we got
applause, which was amazing.
We, so we got some art pop, like we got applause, which was

(16:04):
amazing.

Speaker 1 (16:05):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
We got, we got shallow from.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Stars born.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Did.
The assumption is that Parisgoable choreographed the whole
thing.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
It said it like the credits right at the end.
Um, which to me is always likeI'm curious.
I mean we just when youchoreograph a tour, I assume
you're also choreographing thestaging, or is there a director
that does that?
Because so much of Gaga istheater?

Speaker 1 (16:30):
I assume that there is also a what's it called Art
director there was yeah.
Yeah, I think they probablywork together.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Because most of, except for everything from her
new album, which is newchoreography, all of the other
stuff is her same choreography, like that's the one thing right,
she keeps everything the same, which is great, I think, for her
brain and not having to cause alot of artists will change,
like Beyonce changes her fuckingroutines every time.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, but what I assume I'm not not having
choreographed a tour before isthat the probably Gaga, that the
probably gaga, the art directorand the choreographer all sit
down and they're like okay, wethis song, this is what's
happening in this song, this isthe choreography whether it's
new choreography or the old,okay.
And then it's like okay, wewant, she's going to be on the

(17:17):
lift on this one, so we wantthree dancers over here.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
We want three dancers over here.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
We want a couple on the um runway and then so we'll
need, uh, four, eight counts ofchoreography here yeah and then
we're going to transition backto everyone.
Stay on stage behind gaga, thenwe go into, you know, the next
section and whatever.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
That's what I assume I feel like that makes sense,
but it was so I was like what?
Is paris choreography, but thatmakes sense.
But it was so I was like whatis Paris choreography, but that
makes sense, other than the newsongs.
Yeah, but it was great.
The state, the, the visualswere insane.
It was a very emotional show, like um, and my biggest takeaway
is the.
I I mean the amount of timesshe says put your hands up, put
your effing hands up, pause up,like she says it so much yeah

(18:03):
that it became almost likecomical, like all right you

Speaker 1 (18:07):
have to leave it up.
Yeah, put your fucking hands up.

Speaker 2 (18:11):
Anyway, it was hype, it was great, good, um, she
ended it so beautifully like sheended with the one that
everyone thinks is like a taylorswift co.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Right, how bad do you want how I don't know how bad
do you want?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
me yes, you do.
I even showed it to you andsaid that this is the song?

Speaker 1 (18:26):
Yeah, but I still don't know it.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Right, how bad bad do you want me?
Do you know that one?
No, you bounced your head likeyou did.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
I was just going along with it.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Oh, thank you.
Anyway, she ends the show withbad romance.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I think it's bad romance.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Did she sing Edge of Glory?
Yes, she did.
Yeah, I like that.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
Born this Way for some reason made me cry.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
I was like this is so gay of me right now.
It's pretty gay of you.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
This is so homosexual .

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
But like she did this , I don't know, it was just like
epic and she was just likehands up for your freedom hands
up for your rights, everyonehands off your rights everyone
was just like losing their shit.
Yeah, um good energy, just goodenergy.
Yeah, but she ends the show, then she rolls the credits.
So you're like looking at thescreen, the lights have not come
on.
Fools thought it was over, solike hundreds of people started
yeah, you can't do that.

(19:14):
The lights, the house lights arenot on and gaga would never end
without like bowing yeah it's ashow she loves to give a shout
out to her dancers too yeah andshe didn't.
So everyone's like hauling assout of there and I'm like we're
not leaving.
She's not done, the credits end.
And then she I can't the likebackstage camera is she's
singing while she's changing.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Oh, I saw a clip of this, yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
She's just like getting into her like sweats.
She puts on a beanie cause shewore a hundred, and then she
comes back on stage and, justlike, sings the whole song
without choreography and thenbrings out all her dancers and
they all just like partytogether.
Then she gives them each a bow.
And then there's this one leaddancer in the show who, like,
plays the count her like theHades.
It's an opera.
She like wrote an opera that, like the story is told through

(19:57):
her music, and so she wrote theopera to make sense with each of
the songs.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
It was beautifully done.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
That's cool.
So there's one lead person thatplays her.
Do you remember in theCoachella performance for poker
face?
It was like oh we.
Girl with a blonde wig.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
So it was that character the whole time would
just change between like whiteand red clothes.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
And.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
I didn't know till the end, when she, like, had her
take her hat off, and it wasone person that gave her her own
bow oh, and was like sograteful and then hugged her so
like that was very emotional waythat they danced together the
whole show anyway, gaga wasbeautiful.
Afterward, I think like we, wethought we'd rage, like we were
like we're gonna fucking party, but we spent the whole day at a

(20:35):
cabana so we were exhausted bythe sun yeah um did you go out
at all?
no, well, we went out the firstnight for dinner, okay, but we
didn.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
You didn't go to a club.
No, no, no, no, oh my gosh, youstill.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
I still have not gone .
Well, we got to go to a clublast night for a little bit, but
I yeah, we were.
I was like afterward I was likecause I wanted merch?
The merch line was crazyoutside before it like opened
back up so I was like I guesswe'll get in line.

(21:07):
Yeah, so it happened ratherquickly, okay, and then I was
literally like holding thesewomen.
The two girls had to take theirshoes off, so it was so, vegas,
hurry, get up, guys.
This is a live pause pausebecause the sale is about to
begin.

Speaker 2 (21:47):

No, don't change now.

Speaker 1 (22:09):

This is fucking crazy .
What are the odds?

Speaker 1 (23:34):
I can't.
I can't text you right now.
Whoever's texting me?

Speaker 2 (23:36):
Stop it, stop texting her.
Allison is currently putting inher information for her big
energy Laboo boo monster.
Okay, while she does that, I'mjust going to finish my Gaga
story.
Okay, so the show is great.
We get out of the show, we'reexhausted, girls have their
shoes off.

(23:56):
We're walking through thestreets of the casino New York,
new York, without shoes on.
Well, the girls two of them, not me and we get back to the
hotel room and then it kind ofhits us all like, oh, we're
going to sleep right awaybecause exhaustion.
So we went to sleep, we got up,we went to brunch at Paris and

(24:19):
it was delicious.
And then we hit the road andthe drive back took us nearly
six hours.
Yeah, those of you that arelistening and not watching,
alison looked at me with disgustand then did a thumbs down.
So she's in support.
We got back, guys, this is whatI'm saying, you guys.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
It's literally not taking my address.

Speaker 2 (24:41):
Is your address real?
Did you put the correct zipcode?

Speaker 1 (24:43):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Okay, my whole week started basically Tuesday
morning at 8 am when I droppedStanley at the Sitters, and so
now, if you're with me, we'reback from Vegas, from Gaga,
incredible show, amazing concert.
I got some great merch.
I got two crop shirts, allie,I'll show you and then okay, so

(25:07):
then I'm back.
Thursday my car was beingstored at Emily's Emily, I know
you're listening, I love you somuch.
Thank you again for letting mestore my car there while we were
in Vegas Such a huge help.
Picked up my car from Em and Briand then immediately drove to
Susanna, my friend Susanna, whojust moved to Boca Ta, colombia,

(25:28):
where she will be living forthe next two, maybe three years,
depending on how it goes, toteach, and we had to say goodbye
to her because she was leavingFriday morning.
So we go straight from CulverCity to Winnetka, we get some in
and out, we say goodbye toSusanna it's emotional.
I drive home, boyfriend iswaiting for me at my place, we
go to sleep, we wake up Fridaymorning, we go to the airport
and I'm back in Vegas again, just like that.

(25:50):
So now I'm in Vegas.
Sounds like I'm reading a book.

Speaker 1 (25:54):
It's like an audio book.
I just got it to take myaddress and it says some items
are sold out.
Please select alternatives.
Trying one more time and thenI'm giving up.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Okay, so we get to the airport.
We have an incredible BloodyMary.
Wait, yes, bloody Mary, we goto the Burbank airport.
By the way, you guys and Ischeduled an Uber for pickup and
it was flawless, by the way.
What's the verdict?

Speaker 1 (26:20):
It is already changed to insufficient stock for this
item and um add to getnotifications.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
And just like that, alison has lost the bag
Notifying you unavailable, andjust like that.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Allison has lost the bag Notifying you when available
.
That was like how many minutes?
Four minutes.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
They sold out in less than four minutes.

Speaker 1 (26:41):
And it wouldn't take my address.
It kept saying like it waswrong but it was not wrong.
And then when I would clicksave when it was, I took it
again, put it in again.
It wouldn't go to the next page.

Speaker 2 (26:53):
Guys, if you feel bad for Allison, send her a little
boo-boo.
Our PO box is almost active.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
It's not almost active, but you can find the
fitness Marshall.
Po box on the booty armywebsite.

Speaker 2 (27:05):
Make sure it says attention out back of booty
Allison.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
Yeah, please do, cause Caleb will steal it.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, I'm sure.
Um, so we're at'm sure.
So, for those of you jumpingright back in, I'm now on my
second trip to Vegas.
We are at the Burbank airport.
I had an incredible Bloody Maryand a breakfast burrito, and
then we got on a plane and wegot there.
We stayed at the Cosmo thistime, which is way better than

(27:30):
the MGM.
Our view was stunning.
We got to see the Palazzo.
Thank you.
The fountain.
Nope Not the Palazzo Venetia.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
Nope, it is the.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Palazzo.
Wait, are we saying Bellagio,bellagio?

Speaker 1 (27:48):
The Palazzo is the apartments that Yep.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
No, that all the celebrities live in.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Yes by the Grove.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
Palazzo.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Palazzo, I think it's renamed, no, it isn't.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
I think you're right.
I think you're right.
I think I confused you lasttime when I was talking, you did
but the Palazzo is the one thatwas.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
Yes, that's the one, whatever they lived in on the
hills.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
They renamed it to the palazzo no, I think it's
always been called that and Igaslit you okay, it doesn't
matter, but no it doesn't.
I'm sorry about that, because Ikeep, every time I've driven
past me, like, oh, this is whatI thought that she was talking
about and it's not.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
It does anyway I think they might have called it
something different on the showto protect the identity correct.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
Okay, anyway, we we could see the bellagio fountain
yes, bellagio, right yeah nowall these words sound so fucked,
definitely right okay, it was abeautiful view and the sphere,
so we could see the sphere beinglike oh yeah backstreet boys.
Um and yes.
So we got in.
Three of us of the five got.
No.
Four of us of the five of usgot in there and then two of

(28:50):
them were staying at planethollywood.
Three of us were at.
I stayed at planet ho there, and then two of them were
staying at Planet Hollywood.
Three of us were at.

Speaker 1 (28:54):
I stayed at Planet Hollywood the one time, the one
night I oh, that's right, youwere at Planet Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
So we, the three of us that were oh my God, math
Hinsky four of us that werethere, we did a little walking
around.
We went to the shops, we gotsome snack.
I had a snack and then one ofthe girls that flew in from New
York, um, new friend, Talia.
Hey, she was like I'm going togo to Gaga and, like on a whim,
got a ticket to go solo to Gaga, which I love.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:18):
So then, um, boyfriend and his friend and I
went to dinner, Okay, Where'dyou go?
He made us reservations to STK.
I think we have one here in LA.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
But it was in our hotel, so I was like let's just
keep things close.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
It worked out too.
So we go up there and first ofall we he and I are early and
our friends me is there, so wewere like we're just going to go
to the bar and get a drink andthen check in.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
So we go get a martini.
It was like for two martinis itwas $68 or $67.
But when in Vegas.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
No, it shouldn't be like that, I know.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Oh, because pause, let's rewind for a second Pause.
At the Cabana I had a 32-ounceTito, 32-ounce Titos and soda
for $30.
Incredible deal, yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Ew though that's yeah , ew though that's so big.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
It was massive, just soda, nothing else in it.
Well, lime.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
I would have had to have 16 limes in that.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
Oh, I just had two.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Who the.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
I really like the taste of Tito's vodka.
I really do.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
That's all right.

Speaker 2 (30:29):
And then just with the little bubbles, anyway, the
food at the cabana, the foodguys, I will say, mgm, just go
there by a pool pass, it's $25.
And then the cabana prices thenyou get a cabana on top of that
, but they don't.
It's the same price for a hotelguest.
It's not like it's different.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Anyway the nice okay, moving on good music great
music, and it wasn't house musicthe whole time, yeah, no, it
was great, it was like top 40syeah great music, um, and you
could drink, have your drink andbe in the lazy river.
So we literally just likefloated around getting drunk in
the lazy river.
It was amazing I love that.
So that part, yes.
Um, now we're back.
We have our martinisboyfriend's, like I'm gonna go

(31:09):
check in.
Probably when he's doing that.
Third friend arrives.
We're now at the bar.
He comes back.
He's like they they're tellingme I have to go change my
clothes because he was In a tank, like a tank top, but looked so
good and far more put togetherthan Joe wearing jean shorts and
tennis shoes with a ball cap on.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
There was someone in there wearing that you just
couldn't have your arms out.
It's just, men cannot havetheir.

Speaker 2 (31:31):
They have to ball cap on.
There was someone in therewearing that.
Yes, you just couldn't haveyour arms out as a man.
Men have to have sleeves.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
At least you were in your hotel.

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Directly behind him at the bar is a man in a
button-up shirt that hasflamingos and AK-47s on it.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
That's insane.
I was like that's allowedFreedom of button-up, I guess,
but he's like out of principle.

Speaker 2 (31:51):
He's like, no, I'm not changing.
I was like yeah, no notchanging.
So then the friend that waswith us, she's like okay, this
is ridiculous.
Now we're like 10 minutes pastour reservation time, the
thing's still not buzzing.
She goes up there, they're likerunning 30 minutes back, 20, 30
minutes behind, she's able tonegotiate a free round of drinks

(32:11):
for this inconvenience.
Nice, so that's great.
The third round of drinks comesright as we finally get our
table.
We go to sit down and we lookat the menu.
The prices are unreal.
Unreal.
Like what?
Like a side of fries $32.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
How big is a side?

Speaker 2 (32:25):
I don't know A side.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
It was like Enough for the whole table.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Well, no, that's insane.
And the steaks were likestarted at $125.
The Caesar salad was like $40.
It was just like.

Speaker 1 (32:38):
So did you just say never mind.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Well, the service was just so bad.

Speaker 1 (32:41):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
So we were like Taco Bell Cantina, it is so Shelly,
that's her name.
She was with us, so she's likethe restaurant next door looks
good.
Let me just go see.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
She was over there.
She's like they can see thisright now.
So we finish our free drinksand literally just bounce.

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Yeah, because you paid at the bar for the other
ones.

Speaker 2 (32:57):
Yes, Correct, so the only thing.

Speaker 1 (32:59):
Just making sure you didn't dine and dash.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
I did not dine and dash, although they did bring
the free bread to the table.
One of the best dinners I'veever had.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
It was so good.
What kind of food.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Italian have you ever been to Gordon Ramsay's?
No, I haven't been to GordonRamsay's.
I don't remember the name ofwhat this restaurant was, but it
was right next to SDK.
Okay, no wait, we get in there.
We have delicious oysters.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
You're an oyster boy.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
We have.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
Hope you don't get food poisoning.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
I didn't.
That was Friday night, I thinkI'd know.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
You definitely would.

Speaker 2 (33:31):
We had delicious oysters.
We Half chicken that we shared.
It was so tender and deliciouswe got a sommelier.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Is it an ad for?

Speaker 2 (33:38):
them.
We had a sommelier Approach andgive us Best and one of the
best wines White wines I've had.
It was so good yeah.
So we just shared a bunch ofshit.

Speaker 1 (33:46):
Yeah.
And it was great and reasonablypriced as it should be right,
so then uh and the dress codewas fine not an issue and they
were lovely.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
The service was so good yeah and then we um.
So after that, then finally, after a delayed flight out of la
, which is a night it's soannoying to be delayed on the on
a trip to vegas from la becauselike come on, because you're
like I could be home so fastcorrect.
So she gets there and sherallies, she changes really fast
.
Then we go out and meet up withsome other other friends that

(34:16):
happen to be there for gaga, notbackstreet boys met up with
them, hung out in the casino fora bit and then went to bed
around.
Like when we went to bedstarving, we wanted room service
of course, it was probablyclosed no, it's 24 hours, but it
was like it's a 90 minute waitand I was like I have no time
for that.
So I look on uber eats and it'slike you can get shake shack in
20 minutes.
It was like hell yeah shakeshack took an hour and 40

(34:37):
minutes.
I've never been so was thereanywhere?

Speaker 1 (34:40):
like are they?
Do they have like food outside?
Just like carts, vendors likeyou could just like?

Speaker 2 (34:45):
maybe, but we were pretty drunk and high and I
didn't want to get out of thatbed.
I was willing to go down tovalet to pick up an order, but
that's as far as I wanted to goand it came so late, would have
been quicker to have roomservice yeah whatever, it was
delicious and it hit the spot.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
So then, so the note is that if you are out, you need
to pre-order your drunk food.
Yeah, because you can.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yeah from the app.
So next day is backstreet boysday.
We get up casually, we haveroom service breakfast.
We went and sat by the pool atthe Cosmo, which they have
multiple.
We stayed at the one on the14th floor.
It was really dope.
There weren't any like seatsavailable right away, so we sat
at the bar, we had a superdelicious fruity drink and then
just kind of lounged at the poolfor a couple hours, went down,

(35:28):
got ready, headed over to thebackstreet boys and it was
insane.

Speaker 1 (35:32):
The sphere sorry sphere is wait, what did you say
differently?
Oh wait, but you have to saythe.
You can't just say okay, I havea side now okay, okay, you know
how people here get like reallyannoyed when you say you're not
supposed to say the pch, you'rejust supposed to say pch never
heard someone get mad aboutactually insane to me yeah,

(35:54):
someone has said that no, I'veheard people.
I've heard that's a thingbecause it's like I took,
because people here it's weirdyou say the 405 or whatever, but
in reference to pacific coasthighway, which is the highway
that goes all the way up thecoast of california, people
don't say the pch.
That's like an indicator thatyou're like not from here, or

(36:14):
like you're okay.
Well, we come from a state wherethere's never the I know, but
here there is except for forthat sorry, I must have snoozed
last time stop, just stop, andum.
So it's like you're supposed tosay, oh, we tookCH, but that
grammatically sounds insane.

(36:35):
The PCH sounds correct, so thesphere when you're referencing
it.

Speaker 2 (36:41):
Yes, yeah.
But its name as a building isnot the sphere, it's just sphere
.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
Sphereless.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Okay, but yeah, in reference to going there, I say
at the the okay, okay, but yeah,in reference to going there, I
say at the the Okay, we can dothat.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
We went to the sphere .
It was really fucking cool.
Our seats were in the like.
I was kind of telling you fromwhat I, what I was able to
gather is that we were going tobe in a section that was not
like part of a curve.

Speaker 1 (37:03):
Yeah, so you were totally clear.
Oh, I thought you were about tosay it.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
There was literally no motion sickness.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
I was really worried about you.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
I was like do you have enough medication.
Do you need zoopran, do you?
What do you mean?
I was prepared, but didn't,absolutely did not need it.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
That's good.
The boys did amazing.
The show was so good.

Speaker 2 (37:20):
How did brian do?
Brian did so great, but does hehave autotune on his no
honestly so I was listening forthat.
Like they were in such tightharmonies no, they, there was a
backing track, like there was, like I could hear vocal support
yeah, but they were singing liveand brian held his own.
There's one at one moment wherehe, like, squeaked out yeah but
it was not like a pivotal brianmoment do you think he's
backstage getting like shotsbefore?

(37:42):
I don't know he's definitely hasto, has to have some sort of a
very extensive, extensivewarm-up routine.
Yeah, because then.
So we went to the after partyafter it after and we were in
the um like friends and familysection.
We didn't know, we just thoughtit was going to be like an
after party and it was at one ofthe clubs in the Venetian, and
then found out when we got therethat they actually they perform

(38:03):
like a few songs and we werestage us.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
Oh, did you get sweat on you.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
So much sweat.
No, but it was only three ofthe five, so Brian wasn't there
and I hypothesize that heprobably needs to rest his voice
after the shows.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
I feel like he's not speaking at all this whole run.
Yeah, yeah.
Like for real there, but likeif you want to sound good at all
, you are on rest.
Then the moment you wake up inthe morning until the show and
then immediately after until thenext day.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
Exactly so he was not there.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
It was just Howie um no.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Howie, kevin and Nick , and they did a little, a
little show.
It was so cute, it was great.
And then we bounced out ofthere and went back to the hotel
, ordered McDonald's, as onedoes.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Yum.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
And pass the F out.
And woke up, got on a plane andhere we are recording the
podcast.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Bus, another bus plane.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Bus, another bus plane.
It doesn't stop for Alex, butit was a really fun week.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
It would have to stop for.

Speaker 2 (39:04):
Alex and I do love Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (39:05):
I'm so happy for you.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
Thank you.
What'd you do this week?

Speaker 1 (39:08):
Gosh, Um oh, so just a little update.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
I gosh um oh, so just a little update.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
I had my doctor's appointment, yes, on friday and
it was really good, I learnedthat I just have anxiety.
No, um, I mean, I do just haveanxiety.
Uh, all of my blood work wasreally good.
Hell yeah, nothing likeeverything was in normal range,
all the you know it's a normalblood panel like cholesterol and
blood sugar and all that.
I don't really know what it is.

(39:37):
She went through it one by onewith me.
The only things were like Ineed, you know, a little bit
more iron in my life and.
I need a little bit of B12,which is easy to do, Doable
doable.
Um, and I just had anxiety.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Did you cry out of relief when she was talking?
Oh my God, yeah, I told her Iknew it.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
She had.
Uh, there was like a someone intraining there, I think it's
like a new nurse practitioner, that is like coming onto the
practice and they asked if Icared if she was in there and I
was like no, but I'm probablygoing to cry.
She was like that's fine.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Great.

Speaker 1 (40:07):
Um, Um and I definitely cried out of relief
and just feeling silly andwhatever.
So happy to report that I justhave anxiety and panic attacks.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
What a relief.
She was like I'm going to referyou to a psychiatrist?

Speaker 1 (40:36):
No, not for anything other than just like, uh, an
medication like okay, yeah, yeah, just to like check dosages and
make sure like all that is okay.
She was like if you want tolike take a deeper like anxiety
test to see like yeah okay, more, learn more about it or
whatever.
She was like, do that.
But she's like I'm not sendingyou because I think you're crazy
.
It's just like adding someoneto your care team that, like
these medications, like is theirspecialty, basically.

(40:58):
So there you go and then shetalked about like when I would
come back.
She was like and if you want tocome back and just chit chat,
like we totally can?
I was like I'm so happy to havea doctor that I actually like.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Yeah, that's really great, okay, good.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
So that was that.

Speaker 2 (41:17):
Great.

Speaker 1 (41:18):
A bomb just went off outside.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
It's okay, stan.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
It's okay.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
It's okay, bubba.

Speaker 1 (41:25):
Had to dodge ball.

Speaker 2 (41:27):
Oh yeah, sports corner.
Sports corner Sports corner.
You went to both.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Tuesday and Wednesday .

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Oh my god, what a sporty girl.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Sporty girl.
Our Lucille's balls wereincredible.

Speaker 3 (41:39):
Great.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Just killing it.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
Amazing.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
We won again.
We play the same team next week.

Speaker 2 (41:45):
As this week.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
Back to back.
Did less people sign up thisseason?

Speaker 1 (41:50):
Maybe Back to back same team, the person that we
both collectively dislike?
Yep, still, just like, evenmore.
I'll tell you off camera, likesomething that happened, but oh,
I can't okay um, josh was ableto be there this week, so we had
a full team and we crushed ithow's jake playing?

Speaker 2 (42:11):
jake he's from buzzfeed.
He's on your team.

Speaker 1 (42:13):
He came with what does he look like white with?
Like floppy hair yeah, sweetiehe is a sweet yeah he's good, he
like, I think he like threw hiselbow out or something the
first, and so he's um catchingno, like he's still throwing,
but I think he had to like learn, oh right, like what his limits
are, yeah, but yeah, he's great, cool, sweet boy.

(42:34):
I think that I did um the onetwo weeks ago or something.
He we were trying to findparking and I got lucky and
found a spot and he was in theline of people still like trying
to find and he like I wastrying to walk in front of him
and he didn't see me and Ididn't know it was him and I
made it like oh, gesture.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:56):
And then I saw it was him and I was like, I was like
I'm sorry.
He's like no, it's totally fine.
I wasn't paying attention.
I was like I have to stop beinglike I just have road rage.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Yeah, I get it, I get it.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
And that's it's allowed.
Um, but other than that, I gotreally sunburned yesterday on my
back.
I went to oh, I went to thebeach, okay to watch josh play.
Angela came and met me and we,like, had a little beach moment
and then also our dodgeball.
A couple people from ourdodgeball team were going to
ginger Rogers, the gay spot onthe beach.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Never heard of that.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
Really, yeah.
Yeah, you know how there's willRogers beach and then right
below it is ginger Rogers beachand that's like the fire Island
of LA.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
I had no idea that was here.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
Oh wow, you should go .
Lots of speedos.

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Oh, I'm sure.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
Um here, oh wow, you should go.
Lots of speedos, oh, I'm sure.
Um, I yeah.
So sass was going to meet themand angela was with me and she
was like I'm gonna go and I waslike I'm definitely not going
not again I don't want to it's.
It's like worse parking oh, overthere where he plays is a
really big parking lot thatalways has spots, so I'm not
stressed about it.
But more North on PCH, there'sway less parking and I was like

(44:17):
I'm not going to do it.
And then Josh, uh, he had to goreferee and he was like you
should go and I was like, ah, Idon't want to.
And he was like you just don'twant to go because you don't
want to park.
Like that's not a reason to notgo somewhere.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
I agree with him.

Speaker 1 (44:33):
And I was like like it kind of is a reason.
But I was like, fine, you mademe feel bad, so I'll go.
It took me 40 minutes to park.
I ended up just parking at that, the lot that is more north at
will rogers, and I had to dolike a 15 minute walk to get to
where they are because at thatpoint you're like, well, I'm
going to see this missionthrough.

Speaker 2 (44:51):
Yeah, where was angela in all of this?

Speaker 1 (44:53):
she had already made it there because she left like
20 minutes before.
Okay, I and I had to like Ihadn't eaten anything, so I was
like I got something to eat.
I use the restroom like not onthe beach, because the beach
restrooms are gross, yeah, yeah.
So she had like a 20 minutehead start on me, but she had to
like run across the highwayscary because she couldn't
figure out how to get across.
There are tunnels.
I told her that.

(45:13):
But then I was there for a fewmore hours chatting with a
couple of the people from ourteam and I reapplied so many
times.
But I just didn't really havesomeone to like rub in my back
and my back got so burnt.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
So I'm sorry about that.
Yeah, that sucks.

Speaker 1 (45:33):
But that was that and I feel like that's it.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
Okay, big weeks all around.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Big weeks.
I'm excited to get back into aroutine Same.

Speaker 2 (45:42):
I need it.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
I need it.

Speaker 2 (45:44):
I need a little recovery.

Speaker 1 (45:46):
Some things that I wanted to talk about.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Yeah, I have something too.

Speaker 1 (45:51):
Okay, you can go first.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Okay, okay, okay, I don't know if you saw this, so I
was excited to read this In anot surprising at all very
hilarious joke conclusion to ourfavorite con artist, billy
McFarlane.

Speaker 1 (46:07):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Did you see what happened?

Speaker 1 (46:08):
No.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
He sold the fire.
He sold fire, he sold fire hesold it okay um the fire
festival brand on ebay for twoto me for 245 000, that's okay,
that's so cheap so cheap.
So with that sale he sold theip, all social media accounts

(46:30):
and any past like everythingfrom the past to like past ip
yeah, um, for literally lessthan $300,000.

Speaker 1 (46:40):
Why would he do that?
All he has to do is actuallyplan a well thought out event
and all he has to do is hiresomeone to do that.
Clearly you can't do it, sohire someone who knows how to
put on a music festival andactually put on.
People are going to go causethey're curious about it.
You can make it small the firsttime and just do it really well

(47:03):
, and then people are going tobe like, wow, look, what he
turned it around, isn't?

Speaker 2 (47:06):
that great a quarter of a million and he would have
made that he would have madethat so easily what he sold it
for yeah like it's not that hardto just plan a decent event I
know, but I was in shock, soheather thanks for the tip.
She was like you need to lookinto.
This is this real.

Speaker 1 (47:18):
That's insane, it's real and do you think that he
sold it to someone he's like incahoots with and then they're
gonna put on?
Is that?

Speaker 2 (47:26):
legal.
He's a swindler, so who?
Probably?

Speaker 1 (47:28):
in legality doesn't mean anything to him, but like
could he have sold it to someone?
That's like a friend you maybejaw rule why on ebay though?

Speaker 2 (47:39):
because it's a scam.
It's got to make it look legit.

Speaker 1 (47:41):
Then they put on the event.
He still has some sort of likestock or some like monetary part
of it.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
And it actually is a good event, then he gets a
kickback from that Do you thinkthat is possible.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (47:55):
If that's the case, he could have sold it for way
less.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Wow, by the way, he the rest of this says he owes 26
million in restitution to thevictims of fire festivals.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
So that doesn't even.
Yeah, Just what I'm saying isput on a good event and in a
couple of years you'll that willbe paid back.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
Literally just follow the lead of every.

Speaker 1 (48:17):
And do it.
Bankrupt superstar In America.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Like quit trying to go do it in other places that
you don't live right and useinfrastructure that you don't
understand.
Have a two-day festival, yeah,at coachella valley in vegas,
something put on, a good eventwith sufficient, you know,
amenities or whatever you needmake your money, and then it

(48:42):
gets bigger the next yearbecause, oh wait, they did it.
Well, like next year.
I'm going to check it out.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
Should we plan a music festival?

Speaker 1 (48:48):
I feel like we could have done it better than him.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
We totally could.

Speaker 1 (48:50):
Okay, let's do it.
What's the theme?

Speaker 2 (48:55):
What is the theme of our music festival?
It's like it would be likesomehow a mix of musical theater
acts and oh my gosh, actuallythat's kind of a fun idea, that
is fun a musical theater um I'veseen that in new york what do
you mean?

Speaker 1 (49:12):
we're really.
We're just people who arecurrently on broadway, like had
like a day where they performedthings.
That's not the same thing, I no.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
It's not totally what I'm thinking, but it would be
like having like imagine a Gagastyle performance with Christian
Chenoweth and Idina Menzelsinging Wicked songs?

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Yeah, but they're not doing the show.

Speaker 2 (49:35):
You know what I mean.
They perform it like a concert.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
With like a live band and fucking dancers and shit,
but it's them as like rock starsyeah all right this is gonna be
our music festival okay musicaltheater.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
They have to put in a lot more work than they are
currently doing right now to dothat correct, but they get paid
a fuck ton right.

Speaker 2 (49:57):
Who would be the headliner?

Speaker 1 (50:00):
Hamilton.

Speaker 2 (50:01):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (50:03):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (50:03):
No, honestly, I feel like Moulin Rouge or Six is good
.
Music-wise is good for that.

Speaker 2 (50:09):
You got it?
I think you got to come in witha big classic to be like Rent
would be the headliner of thefirst year.
Do you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Yeah, but those, those I feel like Moulin Rouge
has like the most marketablesongs, right.

Speaker 2 (50:22):
Well, yeah, cause there's Britney Spears and yeah
or yeah what's the other?

Speaker 1 (50:26):
like pop one that is out.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
Diamonds are a girl's best friend, oh from that movie
, from that movie from the show.

Speaker 1 (50:32):
Yeah, no, just a show that has popular music, right
now and Juliet.
And Juliet.

Speaker 2 (50:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:39):
One of those Cause it's like you're gonna be
hearing songs that you're usedto hearing on the radio, but
it's it'll.
It'll grab people who aren'tlike necessarily musical theater
sure, but who's coming to thisshow?

Speaker 2 (50:49):
who's coming to this festival?
Musical theater nerds yeah andthen in the campsites, instead
of having like communal beanbagsand stuff, we have little
theaters where people can put ontheir own little shows for
everyone in the campsites.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
It's a theater kid's dream.
What if it's half musicaltheater, half like millennial,
um specific lore like HillaryDuff?

Speaker 2 (51:15):
Ashley Simpson Okay, that's fun.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Um Jesse McCartney.

Speaker 2 (51:21):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (51:22):
Like half that, half of that vibe so, like the, the,
like pop princesses and boybands of the early 2000s, who
are a little more obtainablethan, say, in sync yes,
backstreet boys, but likedegrees, because who's coming to
musical theater?

Speaker 1 (51:36):
the girls and the gays.
Who also likes hillary duff?
And the girls and the girls andthe Gays.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
Who also likes Hilary Duff?

Speaker 1 (51:40):
and the Girls and the Gays, the.

Speaker 2 (51:41):
Girls and the Gays.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
You're absolutely right, that's what it's called
the Girls and the Gays.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
The Girls and the Gays.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
Don't steal it, you're actually thinking about
it.

Speaker 2 (51:53):
Maybe we could just do like a one night event first
and like Maybe we team up withAshley, whose event company is
called Girls, Gays and Theys.

Speaker 1 (52:00):
Oh yeah, and we actually Simpson and we throw a
music festival.
Oh my God, yeah, and we startsmall and then we get bigger.

Speaker 2 (52:08):
Yes, we have one really impressive headliner,
like someone that we could getright now for probably not a lot
of money, but would also likework for.
This would be someone likeRebecca black.

Speaker 3 (52:17):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
You know what I mean.
Um, yeah, you know what I meanand that's not a down point.
Like Rebecca is opening ForKaty Perry right now, but she
would be someone that I thinkwould be down.
Yeah, she's for the Girls, gaysand Nays, but then like, yeah,
on like a nostalgic night.

Speaker 1 (52:29):
It's like Raven-Symoné Can you imagine,
you know how like Emo nightstarted.
I feel like I pictured this,the same.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Well, that's just djs playing the music we're talking
artists performing yes okay, well, more on our girls, gays
and they's music festival comingsoon coming soon documentary.

Speaker 1 (52:49):
I feel like we have to talk about the ceo cheating,
oh my god, yeah, that alsohappened this week how wild does
?

Speaker 2 (52:58):
we had a big discussion about this because we
saw this happen.

Speaker 1 (53:00):
We like it happened during the gaga concert, so like
oh it was hitting my tiktoklike immediately as soon as I
left the concert well, if youguys don't know, over the
weekend at the coldplay concertthe ceo of this company called
astronomer I.
I think they do something withai it wasn't like a well-known
company.
He was caught on the likeJumbotron camera with his.

(53:26):
He was like hugging from behindhis like head of HR of the
company.

Speaker 3 (53:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (53:31):
And he's married to someone else.
So the camera pans to them onthe Jumbotron and they both see
it, realize it, and then theyboth hide.
He like falls to the ground.
She turns around to hide herface.
One of their other coworkers islike laughing next to it and
they're just like they've beenexposed.
The question is is was it onpurpose?

(53:53):
What I don't know.

Speaker 2 (53:55):
No, I don't think it was on purpose.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (53:58):
They, maybe they're.
I mean they could have justleaned into.
The thing is, we had a bigdiscussion about this afterward
Because it was like, wow, thisis wild.

Speaker 1 (54:05):
It is wild.

Speaker 2 (54:06):
If they had done nothing and just like, continued
to like, it never would havemade the news.

Speaker 1 (54:11):
It wouldn't have made the news, someone possibly
could have recognized him.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
Maybe, but he went two states over.
They went to the show twostates away.
Yeah, which is so sketchy, which is why they thought they
were probably safe show twostates away, yeah, which is so
sketchy, which is why theythought they were probably safe
yeah but yeah, like the reactionis the reason they went viral,
he could they could have beenlike oh yeah and then they would
have moved on, because, like heeven talks, do you hear, did
they?

Speaker 1 (54:31):
ever talk about it, like do you think that they
talked about it?
And they were like what, in theevent that we accidentally were
on the jumbotron?

Speaker 2 (54:38):
I think they were so yeah why would you ever think
that?
Yeah going to a cold playconcert.
You would be shown on thejumbotron yeah, no right no,
I've never been on a jumbotronever let this be a lesson to you
cheaters out there, or youwould be cheaters yeah if you
were considering it.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Look at what can happen okay, well, my favorite
thing is that his like statementapology or whatever I didn't
know, that anyone said anything.
It's like, totally like.
I don't know if the word isgaslight, I don't know.
I'm going to read it to you, read me.
I want to acknowledge themoment that's been circulating
online and the disappointmentit's caused.
What was supposed to be a nightof music and joy turned into a

(55:15):
deeply personal mistake, playingout on a very public stage.
I want to personally apologizeto my wife, my family and my
team at astronomer.
You deserve better for me as apartner, as a father and as a
leader.
This is not who I want to be orhow I want to represent the
company I helped to build.
I'm taking time to reflect, totake accountability and to
figure out the next steps, personally and professionally.

(55:36):
I asked for privacy as Inavigate this process.
Get this.
I also want to express howtroubling it is that we should
have been.
What should have been a privatemoment became public without my
consent.
I respect artists andentertainers, but I hope we can
all think more deeply about theimpact of turning someone else's
life into a spectacle.
As a friend once saying lightswill guide you home and ignite

(55:57):
your bones, and I will try tofix you.
That's what makes me think likeit was on purpose, because what
do you mean?
I don't know.
Like it feels like he's blaming.

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Coldplay.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
Chris Martin.
And it's like Chris Martinouted me Like I don't know
that's the vibe, it gets Likeit's wild.
That last statement, that likewhat was supposed?
To be a private event turnedinto a spectacle and it's like
just don't cheat.
How about that?
period what I don't know it'slike but I love all the reaction
videos in the way that peoplethe remakes yeah, there was like

(56:33):
I don't know what sports eventit was, but someone did the
jumbotron and every singleperson that came up did the
exact same thing.
That they did, and it was funnythat is funny, but I don't know
.
Oh, so since then he resignedoh, he did, okay, and she I
didn't see that okay but usuallythe let like the employee

(56:54):
underneath does not isn'taffected no, because she can sue
him for sexual harassment orwhatever.
So the company tries that's kindof what happened with the try
guys and stuff like she did notCause if they fire her, then she
has grounds for likeretaliating and stuff.
So I would assume she wouldleave on her own.

(57:16):
But yeah, that's like that'swhy it's so.
You aren't supposed to do thatRight On top of cheating on
someone else, like therelationships of hierarchy of
companies, because the superiorhas so much power over the
person underneath.
And if then the company takesthat person and, um, you know,

(57:40):
disciplines them, then they canjust be like, oh you, sexual
harassment on you, wrongfultermination on you, Like you
retaliated against me on this,Like it's like a whole legal
thing.

Speaker 2 (57:50):
Right, really messy.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
So that's a thing Totally Um.
Another thing is you guys, bigbrother started.

Speaker 2 (57:59):
I saw that.

Speaker 1 (58:00):
And I just just.
I know that you don't care, butI just need to tell you about
the drama of the first week andit's that, this girl named
ashley.
Yeah, she took an hour and ahalf shower.
What?
And everyone was mad at?

Speaker 2 (58:12):
her.
I would be mad at her actuallyso okay.

Speaker 1 (58:14):
So you know, there's a head of household right, yes,
yes and they have a privateshower and bathroom.
Yeah well, after the firstnight, like there's so many
people and they all want to takea shower because they've been
up all day doing press in themorning, and then they get and
they film the entrances Likeit's a long day and so everyone
was like taking showers.
So he, the HOH, let people touse his shower also so that it

(58:37):
could like people could get in.
This girl was apparently inthere for an hour and a half and
everyone was like she's been upthere a long time, right?
And the CEO, the H-O-H, waslike not going to sleep because
he was waiting on her to be donefor him to like brush his teeth
and all that.
So he was like waiting up forher.

(58:58):
And so everyone downstairs islike the time is going by and
they're like, no way, she'sstill up there.
It's like it's been 45 minutes,it's been an hour and they're
like this is crazy.
She's been up there, so shecomes back down and they're all
like where have you been?
She's like, oh, I had the bestshower.
And they're like yeah, no shitthey're like oh, oh, cool or

(59:21):
whatever.
Like is like what's his name?
Like did he, did he get toshower before you?
And she was like no, I thinkhe's like doing it now or
whatever.
She was like so oblivious tohim and then the rest of the
week they just used it againsther.
They were like she's gotta golike the shower gate, like we
can't believe she did that soit's like she is in hot water

(59:44):
for her long shower, and then Ithink she was in the shower
again.
I think production did this onpurpose yeah they had like a
house meeting or something.
That production called them infor something and they were
everyone was there and they'relike where's ashley?
And someone was like I thinkshe's still in the shower.

Speaker 3 (59:59):
Production 100 did that they could have waited
until everyone was out of theshower before they called
everyone in there.

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
It was like for sure, on purpose.
So then they had to wait forher again to get out of the
shower and put her clothes on,so that she could come to the
living room to do whatever theyneeded to do.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Oh my God, yeah, they did.
So, like the drama is not ofthe game, it's just of Ashley
and her long I love that and Iwouldn't have much to catch up
on and I have missed big brotherlast couple of years.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
You wouldn't have much.
No, there's like four episodesright now.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
It's not like a love Island commitment, jesus.

Speaker 1 (01:00:28):
No, three nights a week.
Yeah, you can watch.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
I get into that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (01:00:42):
We do have a speak pipe and ask about birthdays.
Firstly, I heard you guystalking about hayley's birthday
and how it is in the middle ofsummer for you guys and I find
it very funny, as my birthday isthis weekend and I've always
had my birthday in winter.
I'm just wondering if thismesses with your heads as well,
uh.
Second, how do you guys findcelebrating your birthdays as
adults?
I don't fully know how tocelebrate or if I should

(01:01:03):
celebrate at all.
I need some advice to making ita day I won't look back on and
hate.
And lastly, for a quick uniupdate, I'm doing fairly well
with my results.
I'm trying to balanceeverything with the advice you
guys gave me.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you, love the podcast.
Have a great time.

Speaker 2 (01:01:19):
Oh Emily, happy birthday.
Happy birthday time.
Oh Emily, happy birthday.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Happy birthday.

Speaker 2 (01:01:22):
Thank you for listening.
You're the best and, I'm glad, uni's going well.

Speaker 3 (01:01:28):
I love an excuse to say uni.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
Yeah, I'm obviously not surprised you're crushing it
.
So congratulations and happybirthday.
Okay.
So yes, I'm living in LA now.
First question was like does itmess with my head?
It does, in the sense of likegrowing up in Indiana.
My birthday is in winter.
And always I could never do thebirthday party I wanted to.
It was never what my siblingsall got, because they all have

(01:01:51):
summer birthdays Getting to goto the lake, go to the theme
park or something.

Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
I was Chuck.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
E Cheese or Snowden at home.
Same I was chucky cheese orsnowed in at home.
Yeah um, but now living in la Iget to do summer ish activities
for birthday which is cute.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
What about you?
I mean, yeah, march is stillpretty cold it's like we both
have had that it's like it canbe a little bit warmer depending
on the year, like some years itwas like spring was happening a
little earlier.
So it wasn't like full snow oranything but I couldn't have,
obviously like a pool party.

Speaker 2 (01:02:28):
Well, no, and that is the thing right.

Speaker 1 (01:02:29):
Yeah, but yeah, we would do.

Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
you know, things like oh my God, my nipples out this
whole time.

Speaker 1 (01:02:36):
I can't see it, your hands.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
Sorry you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Um, we didn't really do like chucky cheese but like
laser tag or yeah, indoor things.
But I also wasn't a bigbirthday.
I've never been a big birthdayparty person.
It stresses me out.
I'll just start going first,because I have a huge I have
anxiety, as you know, and I havea problem with if I can't

(01:03:04):
invite anyone I've ever met inmy entire life.
Um, I'm I'm afraid someone'sgonna be mad at me yes, and then
, therefore, that gives mecrippling anxiety and then I go
you know what?
I would just rather not doanything.
Yeah, so I'm not the best toanswer this, because that's not
the healthiest thing to do.
Correct?
I got lucky last year.

(01:03:26):
Was it last year or two yearsago, two, two years ago that I,
alex, was like do you want me tojust plan something?
And I was like that'd be greatand then we had a wonderful time
.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
I was just thinking about that today actually.

Speaker 1 (01:03:38):
Yeah.
Because that place we went fordinner after the ship was so
good, it was really good, and Ilike, and I was like what was
the name of that place?
It was such a good dinner.
I would just have to look atthe map, probably.
But um, and then last year joshplanned something so I guess, if
you know yourself and you havea friend that's willing to
either plan for you or help you, then, um ask, lean on them a
little bit, because I find itvery stressful, and then I just

(01:04:02):
don't want to do anything.
But I, deep down, do want to dosomething, yes, so maybe that's
like still childish of me, Iguess, but I just like hate
upsetting people, and so thethought of leaving someone out
accidentally, or even on purpose, like gives me a lot of stress.
So I will kick it off tosomeone that probably has a
better thought process on it Notbetter, just maybe a little

(01:04:25):
more evolved, just because I'vegiven

Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
this a lot of thought , so okay.

Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
So here everyone, emily listen up.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Buckle up.

Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
I have gone through quite a range of emotions when
it comes to planning ourbirthdays, because I had
historically terrible birthdaysgrowing up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Oh yeah, you said that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
And was always always felt like an afterthought.
My parents did great for mylike, younger years, but then
like being raised in a religiouscult and not being able to get
out much there's.
There's not a lot going on inFebruary with friends and
whatnot.
So I just remember, uh, in mylike preteen teen and into my
teens, being very like sadaround my birthday.

(01:05:02):
Then I moved to la my firstbirthday out here.
I would turn 21 and I had newfriends.
I had two new friends, one thatyou know and one that, um, you
don't know who doesn't live hereanymore, and they gassed me up
and made me think that they were.
They had planned this surprisebirthday party for me and I was
so excited yeah, I was like, ohmy god, this is so nice.

(01:05:24):
My girlfriend, rebecca charlene, flew into town and I was like
I'm getting my first surpriseparty like this is so exciting.
This is all I've ever wanted isfor someone to like care enough
to like put a party togetherfor me yeah I'm given like
information on where to go.
We show, we show up.
They blindfold me in the lobbyof this apartment complex and I

(01:05:45):
was like, oh my God, so exciting.

Speaker 3 (01:05:47):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
They opened the doors to a party with maybe a hundred
people, of which I knew four, and I was still even at that
point like, wow, all of thesepeople here for me.
No, not a single person knewwhy they were there.

Speaker 1 (01:06:08):
So did wow all these people here.
For me, no, not a single personknew why they were there, so
did.
Was it just like?
The initial?
People were like this is this, and then everyone just started
inviting randoms or was it everinitially like for you?

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
it was never for me.
It was come to find out likethey brought out a birthday cake
that I thought looked kind offunny and then again it was like
kind of playing into it.
Then like girlfriend was likehey, I don't think that this
party's for you.

Speaker 1 (01:06:31):
I don't think I would ever say that to you.

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Interesting.
I think you might be right andof course it's not.
I'm wearing rosary beads, avest and a t-shirt.
That's not the reason it wasn'tso later I find out when I get
closer to this other person thatyou know, I find out that they
the house where this was was atthis random person I went to
school with and they were havinga house party and they were

(01:06:54):
like, can we bring Alex and callit a surprise party for him?
And they said, yes, the cakethat they got out for me they
stole from the lobby of theapartment complex that someone
had left down there with likehalf of it cut and then just
like cut off the rest.
That said a name, so it justwas.
I remember it perfectly.
It was like a fondant redvelvet cake and said happy
birthday.
Just we're like oh, someone cutinto it already yeah that's so

(01:07:17):
stupid and it had literallynothing to do with me.
So I retrospectively feltshitty about that birthday.

Speaker 3 (01:07:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:24):
And then the next year for my birthday.
Terrible, like I had this.
I was always getting to mypoint here.
I used to have a lot ofexpectation on my friends that,
like I am so thoughtful when itcomes to like thinking about
what someone would want to do orget for their birthday and I
used to be like why does no oneelse think like this?
but, it was a long journey toget to the road of down the road

(01:07:45):
of like.
Not everyone thinks like me andthat doesn't mean that they
like me less it's just noteveryone is a thinker like that.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
I still struggle with that sure, sure, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
But then after having a really terrible 25th birthday
, where it was?
I chose the place, which wasPalm Springs, but then my
boyfriend and ex friend at thetime like through this party for
me, that that like reallyshowed me they'd have no idea
who I am and like trying to tellme like this is your favorite
thing and it's like, oh, youjust don't know me.
So after that birthday Idecided no more letting anyone

(01:08:18):
plan my birthdays.
I was just like absolutelynever again.
I will just do exactly what Iwant to do and remove the
expectation from anyone Causeit's like ultimately, on your
birthday, you want to be aroundthe people that you know love
you for who you are and that youget to do something fun.

Speaker 1 (01:08:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
So I was like fuck it , I'm just going to always plan
that.
So my 26th birthday onno-transcript?
I'm just like, no, it's okay.
I, I know.
I, I want to be able to curateit because, similarly to you,

(01:08:53):
I'm also always like, no, I'mnot going to think about that,
it's, this, is what I'm doingfor me.

Speaker 3 (01:09:00):
Come and be there.

Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
I want you to be there and that is my advice into
your adulthood.
If you care about birthdays, cause some people just don't.
Some people get to a pointwhere they're like yeah but I
love celebrating my birthday butnot because it's like I want
this to be about like showmutual appreciation for having
each other in your life, andthat's why I love birthdays so
much for myself and my friends.

Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
Yeah, I do.
I'm going to try to challengemyself at this coming birthday
to actually not give into mystress and do something and
invite the people that you knowyes, I challenge you to be like
what do I really want to do?
It's this but that also is justa part of me, like I don't know

(01:09:44):
.
I don't know what I want.

Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
I can help with that part like if you were, like I'm
indecisive my birthday's on thisday I want to celebrate it on
this day.
What can we do?

Speaker 1 (01:09:51):
happy to do that, I also like being out here is I'm
so annoyed by the birthdayculture.
I saw a girl make a tick talkabout this where she was like
this is my worst day I'mplanning.
I'm planning my day from helland like she was telling it and
part of it in LA and part of itincluded um, going to a birthday

(01:10:13):
party at catch LA where I onlyorder one singular drink and no
food and I am forced to splitthe bill evenly with people who
have had seven drinks andordered like all this stuff,
because that is what it's.
That actually is what happensand it's so annoying and I'm
like I don't want to make peoplepay a bunch of money to like

(01:10:34):
celebrate my birthday Again.

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
I say to that like let's say you want to do it a
catch right, and you were like Iam not expecting anyone to pay
for me, everyone will just payfor themselves, like you set the
expectation.

Speaker 1 (01:10:46):
What I've learned is, if you're going to do something
for your birthday, you have ahard line of if you order a
drink, you order it at the bar.

Speaker 2 (01:10:56):
Oh, correct, do not add to someone's tab.

Speaker 1 (01:10:58):
Do not order this at this table.
You get your butt up and youorder it at the bar and you pay
for it yourself at the bar.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
If that is something you want to do, I think that's
totally yeah, I think that'sgood and I'm going to tell.

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
I'm going to tell the waiters.

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
Yeah.
I'm going to say don't acceptif someone tries to order a
drink% there planning yourbirthday.
I'm proud of you.

Speaker 1 (01:11:21):
I don't want to go to catch, by the way.
And then food wise is still anightmare because everyone if
there's a bunch of people, thenit's like they don't want.
They're not going to acceptmore than a couple of cards to
pay.
And then people are having toVenmo and it's like that's a
nightmare.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
So really, I will just be probably going somewhere
where everyone can order foodand drinks.

Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
Well, that's why we love what's that place.
We love going Foreman's it'slike Foreman's.

Speaker 1 (01:11:48):
Foreman's Thirsty Merchant.
Like those type of places.

Speaker 2 (01:11:50):
It's like you, oh where we went for your birthday
once, thirsty Merchant yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:12:00):
It's like, and even have a gathering place where
there's food and drinks, buteveryone buys their own thing.
And therefore, I cannot bestressed about people having one
drink and having to pay like$175.

Speaker 2 (01:12:12):
You could also take a note for me the last two
birthdays which have been, I'mgoing to Disneyland because I
like Disneyland and I can go onmy birthday yeah, Disneyland,
because I like Disneyland.
And I can go on my birthdayyeah, if you have a pass and you
can come.

Speaker 1 (01:12:21):
Great If you want to buy a ticket do it.
And if not?

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
this is what I'm doing.
Yeah, give me a high five.

Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
Yeah, I think that that is a good thing, disney and
a bar.
Disney and a bar.
That's a t-shirt.

Speaker 2 (01:12:34):
Disney and a bar.

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
I can picture it now for so long actually not that
long, but I'll just go throughthe birthdays for tomorrow,
which is july 21st.
Well, today, yeah, oh rip robinwilliams oh, how old would he
have been 1951 is when he wasborn.
I can't do math.
Okay, it's for everyone outthere to do their own math.
Speaking of hamilton, jasminecephas, jones cephas I don't

(01:12:59):

Speaker 2 (01:13:05):

Speaker 1 (01:13:05):

Speaker 2 (01:13:37):

Speaker 2 (01:13:45):

Speaker 1 (01:13:48):

Speaker 2 (01:13:52):

To that we always say this yes, she's married to Lil something
Lesbian rapper.

Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
Oh, are they married?
I don't know, but yes, I dobelieve they're together in some
way.
Yeah, and that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:08):

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):

Speaker 1 (01:14:20):

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):

Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
I just love it so much.

Speaker 1 (01:14:52):

I love Vegas If you went everymonth, you'd get sick of it.

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):

Speaker 1 (01:15:02):
Would you get sick of sitting in a cabana every day?
Yeah, but traveling there.
There's so many people it's alot.
If you were in a cabana here.

Speaker 2 (01:15:09):
Okay, how about once every 90 days?
And by once I mean one trip, not one day, yeah All right,
