He's six foot tall, by the way.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
I don't know why I just spaced out.
I'm sorry.
I was thinking about yourchains, because we just talked
about last time.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Yeah, how attractive, I think, chains are.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
And I like this shirt .
Thank you, congratulations.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
This is, this was my identity, like all last year.
Do you not remember it?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
That specific shirt.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah, I have three of the exact same one.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I mean probably, but you know, time has passed.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Time has passed, I haven't been wearing them.
It's back out the closet likeme.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
welcome back to the a-list podcast with with Allison
and Alex.
I'm Allison, that's Alex.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
And I'm still wearing an Apple Watch guys.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
He's doing it.

Speaker 1 (00:50):
I'm really committing to it.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
You also have your permanent jewelry on, like I do
on this arm.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
I love permanent jewelry.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, the place that I have gotten my nails done
twice now does also permanentjewelry.
I don't.
They do a lot there.
There's like facials happening.
There's like facials happening.
There's waxing services,there's permanent jewelry.
There's massage Like it's wildA little bit of everything, and
they also have a random uh likebar in the corner with like gin

(01:17):
and For purchase.
I don't know, I think it's likethey make drinks there, but do
I ask like, do they offer that?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Do I ask I?

Speaker 2 (01:25):
feel that feels illegal.
You don't have a liquor license.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Like how you get champagne at a bridal shop.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Yes, but it's liquor, it's not just champagne Cause
some um nail salons do that.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
It'll be like what if you get the deluxe blah, comes
with a glass of champagne, butthis, there's a hard liquor and
it's just like are is it for theworkers interesting, or do you?
Are you offering to make me acocktail?

Speaker 1 (01:49):
it's got to be that, because I can't imagine the
workers would like have alcoholsitting out that's also not
legal right right in the sameway that mushrooms aren't legal,
but people are selling them atfarmer's markets markets, true,
and stores and stores yeah as Ilearned right, yeah, wild um so,
before we begin um, I want toadmire your heart of the ocean

(02:13):
at this were you holding on tothis?
I was?
This is um guess it is cute, Ido like it, but you.
Immediately I did a double take.
I was like is that Heart of theOcean?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
No, Well, I went looking for a choker-esque chain
because I have a silver one,specifically Because I have a
gold one where it's actually Igot it on Etsy years ago, or
maybe just a random ad, but it'sthis person who upcycles
buttons from designer things.

(02:46):
So the one I have is a Chanelbutton that was made into a
necklace, so it's kind of like areal but fake way of wearing a
Chanel piece of jewelry.
It was like $70.
So it was like actually moreexpensive than anything else I
would buy.
That day I just felt feisty, Iguess.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Yeah, you're like I'm a splurge.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
But that's gold and I wear that a lot.
But I didn't have a silver one.
Got it like all my other silverstack things are longer, yeah,
and I wanted one that was moreof a choker style.
So I got this macy's it's guess, not sponsored by macy's or
guess I wish, because all the umguests has now been doing like

(03:25):
Coachella really big and theyhave this like compound that
they rent out these like houseson a cul-de-sac that's like
gated.
There's probably like 17 housesor something, yeah, and they
invite a bunch of creators and abunch of them that I follow.
So all Coachella weekend forweekend one.
I was just getting guestscontent.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
I had this before.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
actually, I was going to say did that influence, but
no, you already had it no.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
But then I went to their site and, like, their
sizing is not inclusive, so likeI'm not, I guess I can't wear
your guest jeans because theydon't go above like a size 12.
So like in 2025, literally, andAber off in 2025, literally, and
Abercrombie and Hollister havesomehow yes, and I was because I
was filming a Q&A on my umchannel or for my channel

(04:11):
earlier and I was talking aboutNuuly and how there's these
brands they don't have inclusivesizing in their storefronts,
but then they do have itavailable on places like newly,
or I guess on their websitemaybe, but not even, not even.
I don't know.
It's like a hidden thing, butlike a big one.

(04:32):
That I remember is anthropology.
Like in store, their sizingdoes not go above maybe a large,
maybe extra large, but at leastlarge, and then then on newly,
I can get anthropology stuffthat goes all the way up to
probably a 20.
Wow, something.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Make it make sense, or you can get it yeah.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
So that's annoying.
And I guess I have a guess.
I guess I have a guest necklacebut I can't buy the jeans.
So it sucks to be me.
No, I'm not going to say that,Sorry, you guessed.
So that's that.
Today is Cinco de Mayo Arriba, the 5th of May if you will yes,
the day after May 4th.

(05:15):
May the 4th with you, which ismy mom's birthday.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Oh, it's also Katie's birthday.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
And it's the day of Star Wars, which, by the way, I
have now watched episodes one,two and three.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh, and have I talked about?

Speaker 2 (05:30):
this on the podcast?
No, I think I told you, maybein person.
I have embarked on a journey ofwatching the Star Wars movies
because Josh loves them, and Imade him watch a bunch of things
that he didn't want to watchthat I like Speaking of.
Like the first thing was loveisland when we first started
dating.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Oh, I remember he got into that though he didn't.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
He did get into like knowing the characters and what
was happening, but the wholetime he was still like this is
dumb, uh.
And I made him watch a wholeseason of the challenge, which
he also didn't get into, but sothere's just been a bunch of
things that I've been like.
I want you to watch this and Iwas like what can I watch of
yours that?

(06:10):
Uh, you will, that is equal.
And he said star wars.
So we are watching and I choseto watch chronologically and I
know that that is apparently thewrong way to do it, but the
thing is is I know all thesecrets.
Like I'm not that far out ofthe zeitgeist of Star Wars, like
I know the big secrets thathappen.

(06:31):
So I felt like learning theorigin story because I have
maybe seen like episode one, just like in the world, like my
mom was watching it or it was onTV or something.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
When you say one, do you actually mean episode one or
do you mean episode four?

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Oh sorry, mom was watching it, or it was on tv or
something.
You say when do you actuallymean episode one or do you mean
episode?

Speaker 1 (06:46):
sorry, I mean episode four with harrison ford, which
that's it just episode fourstarring only harrison no, I
just mean like the one withharrison ford.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
I feel like I have, like I've seen bits and pieces
and then I also know the bigreveals.
I know like there's at leasttwo big reveals okay, darth luke
, I am your father.
Luke, I am your father and thesiblings, the siblings.
So I thought, watching itchronologically, would be

(07:14):
interesting to see the originstories of the people that I
already knew who they were.
I knew C-3PO R2-D2.
I know Harrison Ford is Luke.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
No, he's not.
Harrison Ford, is not LukeSkywalker.

Speaker 2 (07:25):
Who is Harrison Ford?
Han Solo.
Right, sorry, he's not harrisonford is not luke skywalker who
was harrison ford.
Han solo right, sorry, um, okay, I that was wrong about that,
but I did.
I did know that luke was hisfather or he was luke's father.
Wrong, no, not harrison ford, Ijust mean like luke, whoever
luke is his father is his fatheris darth vader, like I knew
that.
So I just was like this is goingto be interesting to me.

(07:46):
And I did actually enjoy it,because the first thing I have
learned is the origin of C-3POand R2-D2.
Oh yeah, not the first thing, but that was one of the things
and I was like, oh, this isactually cool because I did know
who they were.
How did he get gold?
I, he get gold.
I learned that now, you know soit might be wrong, but I am

(08:07):
actually enjoying it.
We watched.
We watched um episode threelast night, which was the birth
of darth vader clone wars no.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Episode two is clone wars right yes, episode three
was what was it called?

Speaker 2 (08:21):
christensen becomes yes yeah well, I forget the name
of it, but now we have to watchrogue one before we watch
episode four you're doing theseries.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
Oh, he wants to watch rogue one first he said that
that's the next one oh, becauseyou're doing chronological.
Yes, okay, yeah, yeah, that'sright.
Yeah, I wonder.
I know you're more of a startrek guy what you this is not
the first time you've said thatand and that's not true.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
It is true, You've definitely talked about that
before right, I've literallynever I've seen maybe two Star.
Trek movies.
Is there a space thing that youlike?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
What.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
There is some space show that you watch.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Are you talking about Stargate?
Yes, that's what you're talkingabout.
Yeah, yes, that's what you'retalking about.
Yeah, stargate, sorry, yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Oh, so are you a star Wars person.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
I was about to say like I bet I could pass a quiz
if you found one.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Oh my God, should I.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Yeah, because.
So at today at Buzzfeed, lindsay, one of our producers,
was talking about how she justdid a press junk and so she was
like I want to do a Star Warsquiz for them and their people
approved it.
And she was saying when theywent to do the actual quiz, none
of them knew the answers andthey were pretty bummed about it

(09:31):
.
Oh, but then she said thequestions aren't actually.
She's like I don't knowanything about Star Wars, but I
had Star Wars fans took it.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
And they were like oh yeah, okay, so I'm just curious
if I would pass.
Well, this is the first one Isaw, so I don't know if it's
going to be hard or easy.

Oh, his little sweet face.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
He is cute.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
And I was so sad when he was getting beat up.

Speaker 1 (11:42):

does Luke Skywalker lose?
Right left, both, neither.

Speaker 1 (11:56):

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Right, it was wrong.
Right, oh damn, but I likedyour rendition or your
reenactment of him In Star Wars, who defeats Finn in his very
first lightsaber duel.
I don't know who Finn is, bythe way Darth Maul, darth Vader,
kurokic Vett or Kylo Ren.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Here's the thing.
I was hoping for more of a StarWars 1 through 6 trivia,
because I don't really know thenew ones, to be honest.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Ew.
Well, I'm sorry is cute uh,okay, so I don't know who fights

galaxy with han solo.
How old is chewbacca?
Under 55, 78, 200 years on thedot, or over 220 years?

Speaker 1 (12:57):
I think it's 200 on the dot wrong over 220.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
But I don't like they baited you into that, because
what a specific answer?
Do you want to sit on my lap?
What's happening?

Speaker 1 (13:05):
what are the creatures living in indoor that
Wrong Over 220.

Speaker 2 (13:06):

oh how many are there?
There's a lot of these.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Let's just we can stop, we can stop that is I was
just curious you did well I willsay I have do.
I do have fond memories of StarWar because when they
re-released them in the 90s,they released them like one.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
They re-released them six months apart and before the
episode one came out, correct,yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:58):
They re-released three, four, five and six in
like new digital, whatever.
Okay, and every time my dadwould come to school and say
that he was taking us to adental appointment and he took
us straight to the theater towatch them.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Oh, that's cute and that's a fun memory I have.
That is a fun memory.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
That was really sweet .

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Well, everyone, I'll keep you updated on this, but
that is happening and I am nothating it.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
Okay good, I love that.
Yeah it Okay good, I love that.
Next, lord of the Rings.
I'm sorry you read Fairy Smutbut you won't watch Lord of the
Rings.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
I have seen the Fellowship of the Ring.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
Okay, no, we've talked about this.
You haven't.
You've seen the Two Towers?
Oh, the Two Towers you went tothe theaters and saw the second
one and were just like, well, okay.

Speaker 2 (14:41):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
I saw what I needed to see.
I just feel like they're reallylong right they are I think
that's what deters me I thinkI'm gonna watch those again
tonight all of them.
Well, no, I'll start it.
Bring to rule them off okay, well, back, uh, backtracking.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
It is cinco de mayo and I had some cinco de mayo
facts to spit.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Share with us.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Well, not only is it the 5th of May, we think that it
is like the Independence Day ofMexico and that is wrong.
That's in September, so reallyit's just more of an American
thing.
I think we know that.
But it is also celebrated inaround the world, including

(15:25):
Brisbane, australia, malta andthe Cayman Islands.
Random, that's like otherplaces where it's like a big
thing to celebrate.
I don't know if that'sAmericans took it there and
adopted it or what, but Mexico'sindependence day is September
16th.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Okay, and it okay and it celebrates.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
But what it does celebrate is the unlikely uh
victory over france at thebattle of puebla during the
franco-mexican war in 1862 okayso there's your history lesson
there it is um in a non-history.
Uh way, americans drink anaverage of three and a half
alcoholic beverages on this day,and that doesn't seem.

(16:08):
I would have picked more.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Well, average.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
So you know, there's some people are just having one,
seven, yeah, and some peopleare having.
And Americans drink moretequila than any other country,
apparently, and we spend $2.9billion on margaritas every year
.
And it's just so like us tolike take over a tradition or

(16:32):
make a tradition ours that hasnothing to do with us, just to
drink more, yeah, like, can wenot?
Do we have any thoughts of ourown?
Well, no.
Literally no.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
No.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
We pillage and steal and claim it as our own god well
, hopefully not anymore underthis presidency I'm choosing to
to hope for the best.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
Okay, and and without a positive attitude, without
hope, what do we have?

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
True.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
True, how was your weekend?

Speaker 1 (17:08):
My weekend was good.
I was telling Allison I wassuper gay on Saturday, and by
that I just mean I went out toWest Hollywood and you would
have thought it was New Year'sEve.
I have never seen WestHollywood like that in my life.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
I wonder what you went to the Pink Pony Club I
went to the pink pony club, wentto the Bayou went to high tops.
The Bayou is also so small.
It's the smallest place I'veever seen.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
It was the least busy , though.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
I wonder why.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
And then we went back to the Abbey, the pink pony
club, and shut it down.
Lights nothing more jarringthan being like which.
I agree with Alison about themusic choices.
The Abbey is never the bestmusic in my opinion.
It's always housey.
So they were doing like a remixof Dying in your Arms Tonight
by Cutting Crew, but it was likea girl singing it and it was.

(17:53):
It was like pretty bumping, andso it's like lights, just like
everyone's sweaty, just be likeoh the worst.
Really bad.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
And you just like don't look good anymore.
No, I'm sure you did.
Thank you the good, the one.
I think the best part about theabbey is the dancers and the
yeah they're great they havelike really cool pipes that they
like hang from and do reallycool acrobatic things or like
really a lot of cool poses thattake a lot of core strength they

(18:25):
also the abby has in those samepiping systems.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
They, they do like they shoot out the really cold
air so like the dance floorstays pretty like manageable
yeah, but it's too small it isstill too small and I was also
telling allison I got hit onmore than I've ever been hit on
in my life.
It was a little validating, Iwill say that's great's great.
And then, of course, well, Ihad I.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
You did have a good outfit on because I saw you
earlier.

Speaker 1 (18:51):
I did see me earlier that night, and it was.
It was a good outfit, it was afun night out, and I don't do
that often.
I mean, when we were leaving, they were like will we see you
again?
I was like hey, I'm here everyWednesday night.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
Oh yeah, but it's but it's such a different vibe.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
We're sitting at a table, I can have conversation.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
It is a different vibe.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (19:12):
Anyway, and then rewinding Friday.
Friday, I actually kept itpretty chill.
I did a lot of self-care.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
I don't ventured that way yet.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Currently it's completely blocked as.
I said you can walk in therenow.
Yeah, it was a pretty deeceweekend Gym tan oh I'm tanning,
oh my God.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
I'm tanning, I'm not even going to try to hide it
from you.
Why.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Because I want to be tan.
It makes me feel better aboutmyself.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Get a spray tan.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
No, I don't like that .
I feel like sun tanning versuschemical tanning can't be that
big of a difference.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
That's insane.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
What?
I cover up my face so.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
Okay, well, I hope you go plan on going to the
dermatologist very often.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
Well, now that I have health insurance, I fucking
will.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Well, please do, because I am scared.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
I know you are.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
And we are white.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
That is a fact.

Speaker 2 (20:10):
Um, I I don't think.
Do you think the tan, likespray tanning, is bad for you?

Speaker 1 (20:16):
I mean, it's a chemical that stains your skin.
It can't be good.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
All right, but I think it's better than.

Speaker 1 (20:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh.
Then saturday before the pinkpony club, you and I were at the
same birthday party.

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Yeah, then you had another birthday yeah, our paths
crossed slightly for like 30minutes, yeah, but I had to
another birthday party to get toand that sucked because I
wanted to hang out it is funny.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Do you ever have moments where you're like, wow,
like we.
We run in same, similar circles, but like can show up at
different times?

Speaker 2 (20:52):
yeah, and it not be weird yes, meaning like you've.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
You're pretty established, angeleno now oh,
because I have like actual, likegroups of friend groups, wow,
and like they cross into some ofmy friends, but it's like we
technically met those people atthe same time yeah you know,
yeah, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I don't think I'll call myself an angelina just
because that feels fraudulent.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
Still how many years, you think a dozen probably 10,
10, yeah, I call myself anangelina, or rather I don't call
myself one.
But when I tell people I'vebeen here long, like that, is
what people's reaction always isthey're like oh, you're an
angelina, yeah and it's true, Ithink.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
If other people say it at that point I will, yeah,
I'll believe it.
But it's only been what?
Three or four years now, three,uh friday I watched the pacers
game with hayley.
We went to a sports bar and wewere very sporty and we watched
the Pacers game and the Pacerslost.
So that was not done.
And then we hopped on over nextdoor to the wine bar and had a

(21:53):
glass of wine.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Hopped on over.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
And that was that Saturday, oh that was the
parties.
And I was very tired.
Yeah, the second party you wentto was a house party right the
parties and I was very tired.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Yeah, the second party you went to was a house
party, right?

Speaker 2 (22:07):
Yeah, and I didn't even stay that long.
I was like emotionally andmentally and physically I can't
hang.
Yeah, I yeah.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Love you all Gotta go .

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yes, I did, and I went home and that was it.
And then yesterday I worked outand oh, I got a massage.
Because I have a, I get amonthly massage.
I have a subscription.
We know this.
I got scammed into getting a 90minute massage.

(22:37):
What do you?

Speaker 1 (22:37):
mean?
What do you?

Speaker 2 (22:38):
mean Because, well, I was glad to have it because I
my neck was super sore from ourlast live stream.
I just, I guess, overdid it.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
You whipped your hair back and forth.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
Too much.
Yes, and I've also been runningI because I feel like I said
this I want to run a 5k.
So I've also been doing that andI've just I was very sore and
so I I got I last minute, liketwo hours before, booked it Okay

(23:07):
, the massage.
And I got there and the guy atthe counter was like okay, so I
have a couple options for you.
And I was like what?
He was like you booked a 90minute spot, which that's not
that.
What do you mean?
I booked a 90 minute spot.

Speaker 1 (23:18):
How long have you been booking these massages?
For years.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Literally like five years, and it the I said I want
to to do this.
And it came up the times and Iclicked the time, like I didn't
click a 90 minute because itwould have been more expensive
and it would have shown a moreexpensive price.
So I don't know what that meant.
But he was like you booked a 90minute time slot so, um, you
could upgrade to a 90 minutemassage or we could split it and

(23:43):
you could get a facial afterthis does feel like a scam which
they do facials, or, like youcould keep it the 30 minutes and
I was like you know what I?

Speaker 1 (23:59):
feel like a little self-care.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
it was 30 different, crazy that's terrible.
So I did upgrade to the 90minutes, and then Haley and I
were going to watch the gameagain, but she wasn't feeling
well, so I just went home and Icooked dinner.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Like a replay yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
No, the next game.
That's how much you loved it.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
Oh right, they're in the playoffs or something, right
Cause I caught the end of likethe Lakers against a team.
I don't remember who the Lakersare playing, cause I'm not
really watching them, but um I'mtold it could be really epic if
the Lakers and the golden stateare the ones in the last they

(24:40):
would be the Western ConferenceFinals and then whoever wins the
Eastern Conference Finals wouldplay one of those teams Got it.

Speaker 2 (24:47):
But it is.
I mean, lebron is nearing theend.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
That's what they're saying, like it would be epic if
he and Steph played againsteach other.
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
I don't think Steph is like retiring yet but LeBron
is.
No, they said like four or fiveyears for like retiring yet,
but lebron like it is for stuffyeah, lebron is.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Yeah, isn't he like 68?

Speaker 2 (25:03):
no, he's like 39 lebron james yeah, because you
can't play, you can't think ofkobe bryant maybe well, kobe is
past.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Lebron james is definitely like in his 50s.

Speaker 2 (25:14):
No you can't play basketball that long who says
our body, wasn't that?

Speaker 1 (25:20):
wasn't brett farve a quarterback till.
He was like 99 he is 40.
He's born in 1984 oh, brettfarve was a quarterback until he
was at least 60 no, probably40s.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
you tried, just thought you probably just that
he's only 55 right now.

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Brett Favre.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
Yeah, okay, let me go .

Speaker 1 (25:44):
He was 55 when we were in high school.

Speaker 2 (25:47):
No, he probably just looked a mess.
He played until 2010.
So how long ago was that?
So what's 55 minus 15?

Speaker 1 (25:58):
40.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
He was 40.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Which is ancient football years.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
It's ancient in most sports, unless it's really golf.
But even then, like your hips, your hips got to move.
So in professional sports theyalways do seem older than they
are.
But, yeah, you can't reallyplay.
I feel like past 40 and that'spushing it.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
Well, before we jump back to getting out of Sports
Corner, while we're in it.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Oh, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I will tell you guys Remember how stressed I was
about my dodgeball game.
Everyone ditched, so there wasjust I literally ended up with
only 12 people.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
And we still won.
We did win four to two.
Nice For everyone sendingprayers, thank you.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
I know you are, that's good.
We lost, I don't know, did ithave?

Speaker 1 (26:45):
you're done.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Did I say this last time, though, or had we played
after?

Speaker 1 (26:49):
No, because we recorded last Monday and you
were, you had already finished.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
I thought we played on Tuesdays.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
You did.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
We recorded last Monday, but I'm pretty sure we
played on Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (27:00):
No, you were done already.
The Tuesday prior was your lastone.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
All right.
Well, there you go.
As a reminder, I lost and it'sbut you played.
That's okay, it's okay.

Speaker 1 (27:10):
But anyway, you were saying you were going to watch
the replay game with Haley.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Yeah, but she wasn't feeling well, so I home and I
cooked some turkey burgers and Iwatched it at home and Josh
came over.

Speaker 1 (27:21):
I will never understand the let's put on the
game.
I'll just never know it, I'llnever know.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
I know it's okay.
You didn't grow up playingsports, and that's okay.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
I played baseball and I enjoyed going to the Colts
games.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
Yeah, and I just don't like it on television I
hate it on television.
I like going to sporting events, except, except baseball I
think you need to go again withdifferent people to baseball.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
Yes, no, no I do not like.
I don't like the.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
I don't like no no, I'll go to a basketball game, I
do want to go to a lakers game Ialso do want to do that.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
Tell me again why you don't like the dodgers games
because you're like sittingaround people who care too much
and it's just like you can'ttalk.
Because, like people care aboutpaying attention to this game
and like I was spoiled with thefirst two times I went we were
in box seats so I was like it'seating, it's drinking.
It's like cheering wheneveryone's cheering.

(28:15):
I was on the jumbotron, so it'sjust like.
Then I went down to the regularseats and I was like who?

Speaker 2 (28:21):
does this?
Who does this?
I think that you could possiblysit by someone who is not that
megan and I got so bored that wewent shopping instead.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
We went to the dodgers gift shop and shopped
for like an hour and a half, allright, I don't.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
it's just if, like other sports, it's weird to me
that you cause I feel like allthe sports are the same If you
go to a basketball game, peopleare going to care.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
You know what it is?
I think I'm just realizing it'sthe stadium setting Cause, like
I loved going to my brother'sbaseball games in high school.
Yeah, but like being at a parkon bleachers.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Yeah, you can sit in the outfield that's bleachers.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
We'll see.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
The sun would be in our eyes for a long time, though
.

Speaker 1 (29:03):
I do also like watching soccer games.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
We should go to the LAFC or not?
The LAFC the women's team.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
Who was I talking to about the women's team?

Speaker 2 (29:13):
Maybe me, because I would like to go.

Speaker 1 (29:15):
I know someone who has season tickets.

Speaker 2 (29:17):
And I know someone who works with them.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
So we're connected.
We should go.
Who was it that was like me andmy sister go.
But if she ever doesn't want togo, oh, it's katie, my friend
katie.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, katie has season tickets and to the
women's the women's team shesaid, they're really fun and if
and lafc is apparently reallyfun too I've been to a galaxy
game that's just far away it isfar away, but my friend was
singing thenational anthem, so I just went
oh cute, yeah, lafc plays likein town, like closer but yeah, I
really, and she was likethey're actually so fucking fun,

(29:49):
the girls yeah, when we were inon tour in north carolina,
hayley and I randomly went to amatch because it was like within
walking distance and the boyswere doing something else and we
were like we're going to go geta beer and watch this soccer
game and we had the best time, yeah.
So I do recommend and we shouldgo um sports, go sports.
Speaking of sweating yeah.

(30:12):
I am trying out a new deodorantand I just thought I would tell
everyone where you served an adthat you felt I feel like I know
the ad.
Salt Air.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Yeah, yeah, because I but I've seen that brand before
and cause it's in like moststores, so it's not like I knew
it wasn't a product, that Imight not know what I'm getting
from TikTok, but I was intriguedby the serum deodorant because
I am scared of naturaldeodorants.

(30:42):
I haven't switched yet, guys.
I know I'm still on the degree.

Speaker 1 (30:45):
Me too, and with the aluminum and the poisonous
things?

Speaker 2 (30:48):
Right, but the natural deodorants scare me
because I feel like you have toor not.
I feel I know you have to gothrough that transition of like
the toxins coming out of yourbody and you do not smell good
and there's like weird stuffgoing on with the hair Like it's
like gross.
I know that people do it andwhen you come out on the other

(31:09):
side like I'm sure you have agreat time, but the the amount
of time to put in the work to doin that I haven't been willing
to do the serum deodorantintrigued me with salt air.
This is not an ad, I just I'veonly had it for two days also,
so I don't know what's going on.
But it's like it was marketedas skincare deodorant and

(31:33):
yesterday, wearing it, I lovedthe smell of the one I got and I
didn't smell like BO, so thatwas good.
Today I went on a run and when Igot done I did a sniff test and
I smelled fine.
So I might be into.
The only thing is is you haveto let it dry.
It's like on the instructions,it's like let dry for 30 to 60

(31:58):
seconds, because, if not, notbecause I didn't do that once
and it was very wet under here Isee okay so you do have to do
that, which is annoying like youput it on.
And then I had my little likemakeup fan.
I was like fanning myself, yeah, and it took a while to do so,
don't not loving that part of it, but love the scent.

(32:20):
And now I want every singlething in that I can get in that.
I want the shampoo, the bodywash.
I did get the body wash too, because I was like I want the
combo, yeah, but there's bodybutter, there's body scrub,
there's hair oil, there's hairor um body mist.
Oh, same.

(32:41):
Thing.
I now because I like the smellso much.
It's like the Santal, somethingObsessed, and I want everything
I own to smell like that.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
I love that for you.

Speaker 2 (32:51):
So follow me on this journey.
I'll let you know if it goessouth, but so far enjoying the
serum.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Okay, oh, also you guys.
We went disney on thursday wedid actually make it there and
we decided to bring microphonesand like record it, to make it
like either a bonus episode ormaybe we'll make it an episode.
I will say I did listen.

Speaker 2 (33:14):
The audio is not great oh really yeah, I think
because we're talking too loud.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
A little bit of that.
A little bit Just the quality.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
I can probably clean it up a little bit.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
So I don't know Like if we'll, I'll edit it together
and we'll see if it's like worthbeing an episode or just being
like some bonus material.
But we did have a verysuccessful time at Disney.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah, it was good.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
We got into the Blue Bayou.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
Oh my gosh, you guys.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
Allison finally got the Blue Bayou experience.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
I finally got it Loved the darkness.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
The vibes immaculate, the food delicious.

Speaker 2 (33:47):
Yeah, great the drinks meh.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
We did have a espresso martini, though that
was delightful.
Yes, that was at Pim's yes wewill be getting that again in a
week.

Speaker 2 (34:00):
Literally, there's new coffees, though I don't know
what to do.
There's new coffees, though.
What, what?

Speaker 1 (34:06):
do you mean?
Do I know about this?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
I don't know if I sent it to you, but I saw
there's new food dropping on the30th, which always happens?

Speaker 1 (34:13):
Oh, always it does.
We go once and the merch that Iwas looking for drops the first
.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Oh, so it'll be there .
Yes, nice, I got a newsweatshirt.
Go look at my Instagram, yeah, she got so lucky.

Speaker 1 (34:24):
The thing she was looking for they actually had.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:26):
And I really didn't think so.
You were like it's not going tohappen.

Speaker 2 (34:32):
I was like well, yeah , we're definitely going to look
, but it's not going to be there.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
I would have gotten the one too big.
Yeah, yeah, but truly, like, cast members are pretty
knowledgeable, I'd say, becauseto be a cast member.
I feel like 90 of them are likedisney obsessed, so they really
do know everything going onyeah but like we were looking, I
was looking for this specificmagic band that, like people,
can really help us with.
So by the time we were lookingfor this sweatshirt, I was like
I don't know if anyone'sactually gonna know, but I'm a

(35:01):
good asker, like I'm not afraidto ask.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
So a lot of some people have like that thing in
them.
That's like they if, if theydon't see it, they're not gonna
ask.
They're either, um, like thesocial awkwardness of it, like
doesn't let them do that, orthey're like it's not worth it.
It's too much work to ask, andI'm always like I will ask for
directions, I will ask for helpor whatever.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Not, I'm not worried about it I'm ask averse in
situations like for merch itemsbecause they're just doing it
like it's like.
I'm not adding no, because likeI just feel like I guess I am
burnt because like places, likesix flags, they're never gonna
know.
And it's like you just knowthey're never going to know, and
so I just assume the person'snot going to know, and then I'm
going to get stuck in aconversation that I don't want
to be and just tell me yes or no.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Or like I don't know.
Just be honest, Don't be like,oh, maybe it's over there which
went into the store and Allisonwas like I don't know, Do you
guys have, do you know wherethis would be?
And he literally goes there.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
He pointed across the streets over there, sure, sure
was.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
It's real cute.
Karina is obsessed with it.
She's going to get one Nice Iwas like well, lucky for you, we
know exactly where it is.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Exactly where it is.
Yeah, it's a lightning McQueenlike color blocked quarter zip
sweatshirt.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
She thought it was a windbreaker.
I was like, no, no, it's asweatshirt.
It would have been cool if itwas.
It would have been cool yeah, Iagree.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
Yeah, I had a good time, uh, filming and all those
things so I do hope that itcomes out, even if it is a bonus
ep, that'd be fun she got toride the train for the first
time yeah, that was cute the oganimatronics yeah, some things
were closed, which are alwaysclosed, and Indiana Jones was
not, was it?

Speaker 1 (36:41):
it wasn't just closed .

Speaker 2 (36:41):
It was barred up.
Yeah, it is on lockdown andwhat else is well, tiana's was.
We weren't going to go onTiana's, but it was closed.
I'm pretty sure.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
It might've been.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Or maybe you just couldn't get lightning lane.
Anyway, yeah, we're going againin a bit, but and and it's
gonna be hard for me not to buysomething else I'm saying well,
especially if they drop thatsweatshirt that I'm literally
looking for yeah we are.

Speaker 1 (37:06):
Our next goal is to write, make a list of everything
we haven't done at both parksoh, yeah, yeah, I want to do
that so that we can actuallylike, with intention, do these
things we've never done yeah, even if it seems silly like
we've never played a game on theboardwalk never played a game
on the boardwalk.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
I've never done dumbo right like we've and I will do
it I'll do dumbo.

Speaker 1 (37:27):
I won't do the teacups because I know I will
get sick yeah, I have done theteacups before, so at disney
world, yeah we haven't done.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
I don't need to do it .
We haven't done jojo's train wehaven't done.

Speaker 1 (37:38):
I don't need to do it either.
We haven't done Jojo's train wehaven't done.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
Jojo's train.

Speaker 1 (37:42):
Yeah, that's the little train where you are in
the cages.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
Oh, who's Jojo?

Speaker 1 (37:46):
I don't know.
That's what it's called.

Speaker 2 (37:47):
I need to talk about Jojo later.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
We haven't done.
Have you done the submarine youhave?

Speaker 2 (37:52):
I have.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
I have not done the submarine.
You and Romeo and Karina.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Got it.
Are you claustrophobic?

Speaker 1 (37:58):
Yeah, but I'll do it.

Speaker 2 (38:00):
I don't think that it will be that stressful for you
because you can see there islike a worker, a cast member
that stands in the middle andthere's a porthole and you can
see the outside.
So and it definitely doesn'tactually fully submerge, it's
just until it just enough to gouh the windows to be submerged.
So I think being able to seethe outside will be.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Yeah, I actually didn't see that on the wait
times when we were there.
Now that I think about it oh.
But then, like, the reason wehaven't done a lot of things is
because we typically stick tothe things where we can get
lightning lanes, because wedon't want to wait 20 plus
minutes and most things most ofthose things do have that, but
we don't want to wait 20 plusminutes and most things most of
those things do have that, butwe don't have to do them all on
a trip.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
but it's like we should start checking off that
list yeah, like we can just belike, okay, if, if the submarine
is a 40 minute wait I don'tthink it'll actually be 40
minutes for one and we can justbe like, okay, this is our one.
Yeah, yeah, wait in line thing, yeah, but yes, all in all, a
trip.
It was my first time this year.
I know that sounds crazy, but Ihaven't been since, I think,

(39:05):
november.

Speaker 1 (39:07):
Oh, wow, with me.
And now, by the way, guys, exciting news for us They've
opened up our passes and we gettwo weeks in December.

Speaker 2 (39:13):
Oh yeah, we need to be on that because it's going to
get it's gonna fill up first, what else oh breaking news?
Breaking news the conclave willbe starting in two days from
when this episode comes out, theseventh oh my gosh, so you need
to.
Josh watched it, so now youneed to watch it I need to watch

(39:36):
.

Speaker 1 (39:36):
Did he enjoy it?

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Yeah, okay, shit, yeah, I can't talk to you about
it Until you watch it, because, yeah, copy.
The comments are on Things thatI can't tell you.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Right right, right, right Okay.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Okay, have we talked about Jojo and Big Brother?

Speaker 1 (39:53):
A little, but not a lot but not since it's ended.
Correct and everything CorrectOkay.

Speaker 2 (39:57):
So I need to okay I need to talk about this again
because big brother uk is over.
Jojo has emerged.
I think she got third place.
Okay, the controversy continued, so I think the last time we
did mention that she's flirtingher and the guy are flirting

(40:18):
chris, and we had talked aboutwhat's mick jagger, no mickey
rourke, who got expelled forbeing homophobic and all those
things.
Yeah, he's out of there so Ithink that's what we talked
about, and after that, chrisfrom love island and jojo just
like continued to get closer andthey were cuddling all the time

(40:41):
and being all over each otherand like, making up dances and
flirting and everyone was likethey clearly are crossing a line
.
Jojo has been in a relationshipwith kath ebbs.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
I don't know who this person is I believe that they
are an english dancer, a dancer.
I did not know that well okay.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
So, actor, I think they are an English dancer, a
dancer.
I did not know that.
Well, okay.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
So Actor?
I think they're an actor.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Okay, well, they were making videos being like I
think it's for game and like I'mreally not worried, like
whatever.
So maybe Jojo did say like if Ihave to flirt, I have to flirt
Like if she was really going into win, like some people do that
If they're um did she win?
No, she got third, I'm prettysure.

(41:24):
Oh actually not bad.
But some people go into thosegames if they're married or in
relationships and they're likeyou know what, Like if I have to
flirt with someone, just knowthat it's just game and like
it's not real or whatever.
I don't know if I would do thator if I would like that to
happen, but I do know that thathas happened before in those

(41:45):
kind of games and so now thatthey're out, I've seen some
interviews and they're bothsaying their relationship was
platonic.
It's giving, jojo has feelingsand he, yeah, thinks of her as a
friend.
But I also I think that that'sa cop-out sometimes that people
say, like when it's the girl,it's like obviously the girl has
to have more feelings than, okay, the guy does.

(42:08):
I think that that's just like atrope that maybe our brains
tell us because he could havefeelings for her, like it's not,
yeah, whatever, but jojo brokeup with kath yeah, at the after
party, which I, I, so I watchedthis interview with Jojo and
Chris.
They did made him do it togetherand they were asking them about
their relationship, which iscrazy.

(42:29):
It was a British publication orlike a TV show, so maybe
they're more forward and thosetypes of things, but I was like
that's kind of crazy thatthey're doing that.
But so the narrative that wewere all seeing is kath flew
there to the after to surpriseher go to the after party, and
then jojo broke up with them.
What jojo was saying is thatkath was didn't want to come to

(42:56):
the after party, and so jojo waslike okay, then I'm just gonna
party and I'll see you later.
And then kath changed theirmind and did want to go, and so
jojo was like well, I feel likewe have to have a conversation
then.
And I guess kath asked jojolike are you happy?
And jojo was like no.

(43:18):
And so then that's why Jojobroke up.
So that makes it sound a littlebit better than just I'm out and
I'm breaking up with you, likethat sounds worse, but on this
interview on this televisionshow, they asked about the
relationship with Kath with kathand jojo was basically like I

(43:44):
got into the show and I wasimmediately cut off from the
outside world and all I had todo was think and I realized that
I wasn't happy, which is likevery honest, yeah, yeah, and
wild.
But do you think, like sheshould have, not, I mean,

(44:05):
flirted so much, like if you, ifyou went in and you were like,
okay, now that I am thinkingabout it, I am not happy in my
relationship, would you?
You would probably just keepthat inside until the end, right
, and then like go home and belike okay, look, this is what
happened.
Or would you just be like youknow what?
Fuck it, I'm gonna flirt and dowhatever and I'll deal with it

(44:27):
when I get out.
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
It seems like a little rude I feel like she
broke up with them in her headwhen she got in there and yeah
kind of uh, threw herinhibitions out the window a
little bit and probably wasn'tbeing as respectful as she could
have been, because in her brainshe was like I'm going to break
up with them when I'm out ofhere.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
Yeah, obviously it's hard when you are like in a show
like that where you're cut offfrom the world and you forget
everything.
You forget you're being filmedat, sometimes because it's a
24-hour live feed and most showsaren't like that, right.
So I can, I assume and I haveheard people on big brother say
like you kind of forget, yeah, and you.

(45:08):
That's why people say thingsthey get in trouble for, because
they're not like payingattention to that and she's
still young.
We forget that she's young.
So I I agree with everyonesaying she was being
disrespectful, because I thinkthat she was, and if she really
thought about it and in herhaving having a sexual awakening

(45:29):
and realizing that she, youknow, is not a lesbian and she's
queer and she is allowingherself to have feelings for a
man, all those things love thatfor her.
But in your mind you do have tobe like there are other
people's feelings involved inthis and I don't know.
So I have softened a little bitto jojo on this one, because I

(45:52):
know that she had a, you know, something happened to her while
she was in there.

Speaker 1 (46:00):
Yeah, but also it's not good not, not a great look,
not a great look hi, stan, you're cute he's flopped over.
Yeah, well, should we get intoa list of the week.
What's on your?

Speaker 2 (46:17):
a list of the week my alist of the week is we got
these chocolate chip cookies atdisneyland which we've gotten
before I was about to be so mad,but I'm involved in this.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
It's like where'd you get chocolate chip?

Speaker 2 (46:29):
yeah, what the heck at disneyland if you, we, this
is in the video that we did, obviously, but this is going to
come out before then.
So I'm telling you now uh, thechocolate chip cookies at the
Harbor galley it's across fromthe haunted mansion Uh, those
are.
You can get a six or a 12 packand but they're like small
cookies.
We've known this.

Speaker 1 (46:51):
I think we've talked about it before but did not know
that you could get a 12 packand feel a little bit gypped
that you only got six.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
What are we going to do with a 12?

Speaker 1 (46:58):
pack of cookies.
Cookies Six was perfect.

Speaker 2 (46:59):
When we go on the 7th , 8th or 9th whenever that is I
don't know which day it is Ialways say the wrong date.
We have a lot more people.
We could get a 12-pack.

Speaker 1 (47:07):
Well, maybe two 12-packs.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
Sure, how many would you realistically want to eat in
one sitting without feelingsick?

Speaker 1 (47:14):
Four.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
Why don't you just get your own six pack and you
can save the two You're?

Speaker 1 (47:20):
absolutely right.

Speaker 2 (47:20):
For when you get hungry again later.

Speaker 1 (47:22):
Oh well, then, if it's my own six pack, then I'll
have two, and then I'll have twoa little bit later.

Speaker 2 (47:25):
Yeah, and then two to finish it off, but they're good
because they're warm, they'rewarm as hell, but really what my
A list of the week is is thehazelnut spread that now you can
get with it.
About it but you they.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
You can get a little hazelnut spread to go with it
and dip your cookie in and it isdelightful.
I need you all who arevisualizing this right now to
know that she's saying spread,because that's what it's called,
but it isn't like a nutellaspread, it's like a mousse oh
yeah, it's like a mousse lightand whipped and yeah it's like
an icing or whipped cream mixedwith yeah, like a hazelnut
spread.
It's like cool whip consistencycorrect.

Speaker 2 (47:59):
Correct.

Speaker 1 (47:59):
That's what it is.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
That is good to note.

Speaker 1 (48:01):
It is because, like it does change the texture in a
way that's delightful.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Yes, and I know that, that if you're not around
Disneyland or Disney World, thenyou can't get that right now.
And what I'm going to tell younext?

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Listen up, Listen everyone.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
For my second A-list of the week, which is really
just goes with the first one, isif you've never had a Monte
Cristo sandwich, you must findone at your local restaurant.
Yes, Somewhere somewhere has tohave it.
A Monte Cristo sandwich is aturkey and ham cheese sandwich
that has that is deep fried, andI know what you're thinking

(48:34):
that's crazy and it is a wildconcept, but it is delicious and
they sprinkle a little umpowdered sugar on top and then
there's usually a raspberry orberry jam that is served with it
, that you either spread on topor dip in, and it is a
delightful meal and if you shareit with someone then it makes

(48:56):
it a little less crazy to eatI've also had a monte Monte
Cristo at a diner before, wherethe where it is that same
sandwich, but it's just withFrench toast.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
So a similar concept just isn't deep fried.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
That is probably well .
Does it taste the same?

Speaker 1 (49:14):
It tastes pretty similar.
It doesn't have like the crunchLike that is the part of the
Disneyland.
One is like the crunchy flakyouter.
My mouth was watering.

Speaker 2 (49:20):
And I will say it wasn't huge, so it wasn't that
crazy, I mean.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
No, they cut it into three pieces.

Speaker 2 (49:25):
Yeah.
So I guess because we shared it, it didn't seem that crazy.
I guess if you got it yourself,it's a little crazy.

Speaker 1 (49:30):
But you did discover you sent me a video that there's
somewhere in Disneyland thatsells the mini Christos.

Speaker 2 (49:43):
Yes, I do need to try it if you never have and I
concur sorry, I have a hair onmy face that is itching me you
take care of that.

Speaker 1 (49:51):
Is it like a fuzz, maybe, on the microphone?

Speaker 2 (49:53):
that's like touching your lip I can't see it, but
maybe I'm gonna hold it a littlebit away because I'm like going
crazy, okay well, guys, mya-list of the week has left my
mind one moment.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
Okay, my list of the week, and I recommend everyone
watch this, is a show.
It's on uh peacock and it'sjust completed and it's called
the americas.
Okay it's it's about.
It's a nature show and you knowI love those.
Yeah, but it's been.
They shot it over five years.
It's narrated by tom hanks cuteand it is the.

(50:31):
it's actually probably the mostfascinating uh like nature show
I've ever seen the cameras thatthey use, the, the way that
they're the things that theycapture, like I was watching it
being like how this has to be AI.
How are they getting this onfilm?

Speaker 2 (50:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
But then the last episode.
The whole episode is a behindthe scenes on how they did this
over the course of five years, and it's remarkable.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (50:55):
I mean we're talking about.
They were in remote places that, like humans, haven't gone.

Speaker 2 (51:00):
Like in above ground or below ground, like the ocean
or it's all over.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
So there's an ocean episode, but it's like some of
it's in the US.
Most of it isn't, and it's justlike insects or animals that we
rarely have caught on videodoing something like insane.
That like where they're knownfor Like, there's this one where

(51:26):
they catch the flamingos in thewild.
These flamingos live in aremote part, somewhere that took
humans don't go and it took thecamera crew two weeks to get
there, like out.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
They were the first humans to be there.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
Well, it's like humans can't get there.
So we know about it, but peopledon't go there.
But it takes from likecivilization.
It took two weeks of driving toget to this so come for two
weeks, two weeks of remote howdid they fuel up?
They just had to take it withthem they did, yeah, and it was
like a caravan, but like scarybe two weeks away from
civilization yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 2 (51:57):
They had to have like protection, I'm assuming.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
And the water where these flamingos live, these
specific flamingos, where theywere trying to catch this dance
that these flamingos do, andit's insane.
These flamingos all dance inunison.
What it's wild?
Nature's crazy, but the wateris toxic to skin.
Like if you touch the waterthere's corrosion, there's
corrosive elements in it thatyour skin just starts to burn.

(52:23):
So they're waiting in thiswater with cameras for hours
just to catch these flamingos.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
They're wearing like suits.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
Waterproof suits.
How?

Speaker 2 (52:31):
do they know if humans can't really get there,
like someone has gone therebefore?
That's what I mean.

Speaker 1 (52:36):
Like it's been explored, but it's like they
knew these flamingos lived there.

Speaker 2 (52:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:40):
But it's not like there's no town, there's no
civilization, it's just so deepin nature.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (52:45):
Anyway, the show is fascinating and it's 10 episodes
and they just completed and itwas.
That does sound really cool, like they followed this pod of
orcas, who are the first orcasThey've been tracking them for
years now who have learned howto go on land to grab a seal and
take it back into the water ohmy god and they caught on film,

(53:06):
which means they stalked thispod forever.
The matriarch orca teaching theyouth orca how to do it oh my
gosh, they just shimmy yeah, they throw their bodies up there
, grab a and then shimmy backinto the water.
That's crazy.
It's literally like, and it'sfucking crazy.

Speaker 2 (53:25):
So now they're not only the top of the food chain
in the water, now they're onland.

Speaker 1 (53:29):
And they're wearing salmon as hats.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
That is a crazy thing to say.

Speaker 1 (53:34):
Do you know?

Speaker 2 (53:35):
this no.

Speaker 1 (53:37):
Orcas are killing salmon and then tossing them on
their heads and wearing them ashats.

Speaker 2 (53:43):
I have to look up the photo of this.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
It was a phenomenon that they did like years ago and
they've started doing it again.
Type it in Orcas wearing salmonas hats.

Speaker 2 (53:53):
I didn't have to finish typing it.
Images oh my God.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
It's just a dead fish's sitting so upright.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
Yeah, what are these fake pictures?

Speaker 1 (54:08):
it's real how.

Speaker 2 (54:10):
This is not a real photo.

Speaker 1 (54:15):
This looks computer generated well, maybe the one
that is what you're looking at.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
You need to read an article like is this is a real
photo.
No, I'll say that is not a realphoto okay, well, a bunch of
them, a bunch of them look likethat.
So obviously no, I know that'swhat I'm saying, but most of
them that are coming up willlook like that.
Okay, While on the subject oflike animal shows I don't know

(54:47):
what it's called, so I can'trecommend this.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
I know what you're talking about, dr Oakley.
Yukon Vet no.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
No, josh had me watch this show one random, like
Saturday morning.
That is similar, like it'sreally good cameras following
small animals or insects andthere's someone who narrates it.

Speaker 1 (55:05):
That's really funny is it called a bug's life?

Speaker 2 (55:07):
yes, yeah, and season two is about to come out it's a
good show yeah, it's incredible, it's like it's like funny,
like the narration is funny andit's like showing how they like
procreate and the lenses onthese cameras.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
It's insanity.
Yeah, they're under the waterand they're getting microscopic
things.

Speaker 2 (55:28):
I enjoyed that show, so if it's like that, I will
also enjoy this one.
It is like that, and it's sogood.

Speaker 1 (55:32):
My other A-list of the week is a documentary called
Not Just a Goof, and it's aboutthe Goofy movie which is, as
everyone knows, my top is oh,that has come out cried like a
baby.
It's unreal.
The the like how no oneappreciated this movie in its
time and it's now become likesuch a cultural yeah, I'm glad
that, and they talk about whenit happened, so it was like 20
years later.
So it was like 25, 2014, 2013.

(55:55):
Well, just celebrate its 30thyear.
So 2010, um, or 2015.
Yeah, 2015.
In 2015, they went, they had asmall panel at the D D 23, the
Disney convention, and they hadto turn away thousands of people
because they didn't realizethat people cared about a goofy

(56:15):
movie.
It was just they used a smallroom.
There was a panel.
It was voted the number onepanel of the whole event.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 1 (56:21):
And it was after that event that Disney was like hold
on a second.

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
But like the most fascinating part, so like for me
it was like the music of agoofy movie is what resonated
with me.
But also, specifically, powerline was the first pop star
that made me be like, oh my God, I want to be that.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Yeah, wait, when did the original movie come out?

Speaker 1 (56:43):
um 98 yeah, I didn't know about it until no 95 high
school when, like people, started using it in choke wire
yes, so I my parents bought iton vhs like pretty shortly after
it came out so I had seen itlike when I was six years old
yeah and like, would watch it onrepeat and the parts.

(57:09):
So like the way they animatedpower line and like the dancing
and all that.
They had actual dancers on,like a sound stage with a grid
doing the actual, likeeverything you see that they
animated, they literally justcopied from dancers doing the
exact movements.

Speaker 2 (57:25):
But before they had those like suits that they wear,
so it was just like a grid thatthey could like track.
Oh, okay.
So like a real choreographercame in so much time.

Speaker 1 (57:34):
I know, even like the funny, even all the funny
moments on stage when, likeGoofy like shows up, it's like
there were act dancers playingthese actors.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Do you know who the choreographer was?

Speaker 1 (57:44):
I don't, but it's fascinating and I was just like,
wow, this, this is crazy.
This movie is and it took themso many years to make.

Speaker 2 (57:52):
So many years to make I imagine especially just with
that yeah, so I highly recommendguys.

Speaker 1 (57:57):
It's also or that is on disney plus and it's called,
not just a goof.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
Cute, by the way, the magic band that Alex is looking
for is the power line the powerline.
So if you guys know about it,let us know please Some positive
proof that I'm not just a goof.

Speaker 1 (58:13):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
Cute, well, today's birthday, happy birthday to you
Go ahead.
Adele.

Speaker 1 (58:23):
No, oh wait, yeah, what Adele is two.

Speaker 2 (58:28):
When did you say no?

Speaker 1 (58:30):
38 37.

Speaker 2 (58:32):
But why did you say no, I was just fucking with you.
Oh, I thought you were like.
I know her birthday and I knowthat it's not today.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
Today's her fake out birthday.

Speaker 2 (58:38):
Henry Cavill, okay Is 42, superman know that it's not
today's her fake out birthday.
Uh, henry cavill okay it's 42superman chris brown is 36.
I didn't know that he was thatclose in age to us 89 yes, young
boy just turned 16, there yougo.
Daniel fishel is 44.

Speaker 1 (59:01):
Boy Meets World.

Speaker 2 (59:03):
Yeah, you thought it was Fisher, but it's Fishel.
Yeah, hank Green is 45.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
He is a.
He's just like a big on socialmedia.
He has a brother that writes.
He wrote the Fault in Our Stars.

Speaker 1 (59:20):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (59:20):
It's their brothers.
Hank Green he's like morescience-y.
He'll make videos like talkingabout science.
And his brother wrote the Faultin Our Stars.
People know him In terms ofentertainment.
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Volume 2 and Volume 3 came outtoday, in 2017 and 2023
respectively.
Wow, okay so they chose thesame day, but not with the first

(59:42):
one.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Interesting.

Speaker 2 (59:43):
That is interesting.
The song Me Too by MeghanTrainor, Thank you For my Career
, came out in 2016.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
Which is wild.
Yeah, I really can't listen tothat song anymore because I've
done it too much.
But that that, like you knowhow people are doing that trend
of um the butterfly effect iscrazy, because, whatever,
honestly, what if megan trainernever came out with me too, I
wouldn't be sitting here todayquite possibly that's probably
not true no but it's dramatic tosay yeah, the song.

Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
This is america this is america in 2018 which
culturally I wrote a culturalreset wow, is that what you're
about to say?

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
crazy, true, like really true, and the song what
you say with jason derulo withjason derulo came out in 2009.
I loved the image and heap songhide and seek.
Hide and seek.
When would you say that cameout?

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
I didn't look it up, but I didn't see that probably
came out in like oh six yeah, weused to have.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
I said this before we used to dance to this are you
just saying that because you'reanticipating that, or I've said
it before?

Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
You were a dancer in high school and every
contemporary person I knew wasdancing to hide and seek.

Speaker 2 (01:01:08):
Well, what I was?
More more specifically, my olddance studio had a door that
went to the outside, and when itwould rain, you mean the
entrance to the place?
No, no, there was a side door.
Oh okay, it went to the outside, okay, and when it would rain
we would open the door, becausethe rain would come in the way

(01:01:28):
it was made it would like comein.

Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
And you wanted to get it wet.
This is definitely bad for thefloor.

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
But we would do this for some reason and we would
turn off all the lights and wewould improv and we loved to
improv to the image and heapsorry, you would, as dancers,
make the floor slippery foryourself well, it was yeah, but
it was turn off all the lights.
Such a thing to like dance inthe rain and improv what a cool

(01:01:57):
studio owner to be like.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
Yeah, go ahead, go ahead and do that, but sign a
waiver.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Ruin my floor.
She probably signed off on itfor sure.
Oh yeah, well, anyway, that is.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
That's funny.
I know you haven't shared thatbefore.

Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Okay, good, you know I'm really bad at that.
So a new anecdote, if you will.

Speaker 1 (01:02:14):
Love.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Well, that's all I have for you.
Do you have anything for theclass?

Speaker 1 (01:02:19):
