With aspirations of becoming a history professor, Ben Murray-Bruce pursued his education with determination. After earning his West African School Certificate (WASC), he traveled to the United States to further his education, obtaining his first degree from the University of Southern California in 1979. Upon returning to Nigeria, he entered the civil service and steadily advanced,ultimately serving as the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) from 1999 to 2003.
Murray-Bruce's passion for media and entertainment soon led him to promote prestigious pageants,including the Miss Intercontinental Pageant(1986–1994) and the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) (1986), Miss Africa Universe (2024). A pivotal friendship sparked the launch of Silverbird Productions, which quickly evolved into SilverbirdGroup, a renowned entertainment conglomerate. His newest endeavor is developing film and television to bridge Africa and America in Entertainment through Dream Magic Studios in Canoga Park, California, The Able Show filming studios.
