(01:08):
Hey everyone, and welcome backto Academy Insider.
This is going to be a quickepisode.
I just want to take the time tothank everyone who listens to
the Academy Insider podcast foryour support.
I've had such an incredibleopportunity to get to meet some
followers of the Academy Insiderpodcast and just this overall
community all over the countryfrom different parent club
meetups to an opportunity to goto attend an event in Southern
California at a golf tournament, and there's just so many
(01:29):
different things that have beengoing on which have just been
incredible.
I just wanted to give again aquick heads up.
Again, we're going to go acouple of weeks without
publishing anything here as weprepare for what's going to be
the start of the third season ofthe Academy Insider Podcast, as
we prepare for this incomingclass of Plebe Summer.
But then on top of that, justfrom a complete personal note
and this is where I reallywanted to talk about it is that
(01:49):
I have a great opportunity tospend some quality time with my
wife before she prepares fordeployment, and so I'm going to
take this downtime to focus alittle bit less on Academy
Insider and spend some qualitytime with the person who's most
important to me in the wholeworld, and so I'm excited about
that.
But I also do want to teasesome amazing things that are
going to be coming in thecalendar year of 2025.
We have some seriousinitiatives in the work to
(02:13):
really give back to again theNaval Academy community and
specifically midshipmen, futuremidshipmen and their families,
and it'll hopefully be even alittle bit more than just
education, although you know, this is still going to be the
core of what we do here, and soI'm really excited about the
whole thing.
If you have any again interestin helping out, any interest in
volunteering or just, you know, want to shoot me a message,
(02:35):
please do.
You know my wife will be ondeployment in 2025.
So this is going to be a heavywork year for me once that time
comes, and I'm excited to betraveling all across the country
.
I don't know if everyone knowsthis about me, but I'm also a
basketball referee.
I'm a I'm a basketball junkie.
You know what I mean.
I'm a basketball junkie.
I absolutely love it and Ineeded a way to, a way to stay
involved with the game, so I gotinto officiating and refereeing
(02:57):
and so I'm actually a collegebasketball referee.
So this summer I'm going to betraveling all across the United
States, going to some differentcamps to try and continue to try
and get hired into higherlevels of basketball and
officiate at the Division Ilevel and so it's a long way to
say I'm going to be all over thecountry this year for different
events.
So please reach out to me andlet me know.
And then always again this isjust a call out that Academy
(03:19):
Insider has been my passionproject.
I've self-funded this thingfrom the start, has been my
passion project.
I've self-funded this thingfrom the start and I've been
blessed with some people whohave decided to donate to
Academy Insider, which is justincredible and I'm so grateful.
And again, if you have thedesire to donate, that would be
incredible, just to help me withthe operating costs of doing
this.
And then another way to supportme again in this is that my
(03:42):
actual day job, the way I makemoney, is through real estate.
I run a residential real estateteam in California and Texas,
but I've really gotten into thiscommunity of helping and
finding people specificallyservice academy graduates and
their families, find the correctfeel and agent for them all
across the country.
So if there's ever anything Ican do to answer questions for
(04:02):
you, get you connected withsomeone across the country,
please reach out.
Okay, that's how I'm able tomake Academy Insider run is by
the success that I have in myactual day job.
So again, thank you so much.
I really appreciate everyone.
If there's ever anything I cando in the meantime, let me know.
Otherwise, again, we're going totake a quick break for a couple
of weeks and be ready to go inthe spring for another
(04:24):
incredible round of AcademyInsider and another great year.
So really looking forward to it.
Thank you all so much and Ihope you have a good day.
