A Haunted Hotel and a Horrible History
🎙️ Revisited: The Palmer House (A Recap of a Recap… of a Haunting?)
In this week’s slightly chaotic, definitely spirited episode of The Activity Continues, your hosts Amy, Megan, and AP revisit one of their earliest episodes: The Palmer House Hotel in Sauk Centre, Minnesota. Originally featured in Season 9 of The Dead Files, this location has long been on our paranormal radar—and not just because of the mixing bowls that take flight or the creepy footsteps echoing down empty hallways.
🌀 Join us as we:
·        Reflect on our very early podcasting days (we’ve come a long way, folks)
·        Share updates and new research on the Palmer House—including tragic and unsettling events not fully explored in the original show
·        Revisit the real history behind the Dakota 38+2 execution and the ongoing memorial rides in Minnesota
·        Debate the presence of residual hauntings, serial killer spirits, and...chaos magicians?
·        Laugh (a lot) and possibly forget our listeners’ names (sorry, Shannon!)
👻 Plus, AP drops some heavy (and necessary) historical truth bombs, we theorize about gangsters on ghost sketches, and Megan finally gets called out for texting like she’s in five conversations at once.
🎧 Whether you’re a die-hard Dead Files fan, a local haunting enthusiast, or just here for our delightful nonsense—this one’s for you.

The Activity Continues is a paranormal podcast where soul friends, Amy, Megan, and AP chat about true crime, ghost stories, haunts, dreams, and other paranormal stuff including the TV show, The Dead Files. Our recaps are full of recurring jokes about recurring tropes.
We also occasionally do interviews with people from the paranormal world, with the goal of learning from others. We think you’ll really benefit from the things these people have to say.
Sometimes we get a little scientific. We enjoy trying to come up with possible explanations for some of the things that the clients experience. But this by no means indicates that we do not believe the clients or are invalidating their experiences. We do believe.
Disclaimer:
This podcast is in no way affiliated with Warner Brothers, HBOMax, the Travel Channel, Painless TV, or the TV show The Dead Files or any of its cast or crew. We’re just fans who love the show and want to build a community of like-minded people who would enjoy hanging out and discussing the episodes and similar content.
