Speaker 3 (00:00):
Hi, welcome to the Allie D show.
I'm Allie D.
That's me.
And before I get into the showtoday, I wanted to tell you all
that I have a new program thatI'm going to be launching late
February, early March.
I think it's going to end upbeing the first week of March.
Um, but I want you to hearfirst.
about this incredible program.

(00:21):
And it's going to be for thewomen who are really wanting to
build a business where they seetheir brand name in lights.
Like they want their name onbillboards.
They want to build somethingvery impactful and huge.
They want celebrities to like beknocking on their door to do
collabs.
This is going to be a veryspecific type of business that

(00:43):
you want to create.
You want to create somethingbig, something massive,
something exciting, somethinginvigorating.
You don't really just resonatewith.
being another quote unquoteonline store.
So if this sounds like you andyou're like, yeah, Ali, uh,
that's me.
That's exactly me.
Sign me up.
I want you to go to, I'm atrendsetter.
com slash wait list and jump onthe wait list so you can be the

(01:04):
first to know about thisprogram.
There's going to be some fun, exciting perks when you sign up
early and all the things beforewe get started, but it's going
to be so much fun.
I haven't officially announcedthe name or really much about
the, the, the, um, ins and outsof the program at all, but I do
want you, my podcast girlie.
Is to have first dibs oneverything that's gonna go down.
So if you're already inside theTrendsetter membership, you're

I'm a trendsetter.com/waitlist.
So you can also get on the waitlist to be the first to know
about all this good stuff.
Um, you can also follow me onInstagram ali.d.ceo.
That's a LI Dee.
C E O to get the full scoopwhere I'll be popping everything

(01:46):
on my Instagram stories.
So I wanted to let you know thatbefore I got into today's,
today's episode, which is goingto be about how to get more of
the right customers.
ready to buy from you.
Like the people that are like, here's my credit card, let's
fricking go.
And they buy from you time andtime and time again, how to get

(02:06):
more people like that.
So I want to really unpack todaythe importance of knowing your
target market because let's bereal.
Most people when they're juststarting their businesses or
even I've seen this with peoplethat are years into business,

(02:27):
not getting things to click yetor maybe they're doing like 10 K
per month in sales, but youreally want to get to that, like
20, 30, 50 K per month.
This is going to be such animportant factor in making that
happen for you.
So I want to break it down morehere because I feel like every
time I kind of explain this, it,it hits people in different ways

(02:49):
and they have their own ahamoments.
And this is one that I willforever harp on and forever talk
to you about on the podcast.
Or if you see me in real life, like, okay, we get to talk about
this.
We need to talk about yourtarget audience because it all
comes down to.
So you may be thinking like, yeah, Ali, I know I get it, duh,
we need to niche down, but I'mstill not seeing this.

(03:12):
Like I get that the conceptsounds simple, but it's not
easy.
It's not easy.
It's not easy for a couple ofreasons.
Number one, our brains naturallydon't want to do it because we
want to reach more people.
We think, okay, more customers.
I need to be more appealing tomore people to get more
customers, right?

(03:33):
It doesn't ever happen.
More appealing to more peoplewill get me more customers.
But the truth is, is that is thetotal opposite, total opposite
of how you actually get morecustomers.
The way you get more customersis by appealing to more Specific

(03:58):
less crowd, which is lesspeople, more specific.
Okay.
So an example of like a verybroad target market, which this
is like the market that I hearall the time when people first
join trendsetter or they comeinto my programs or maybe they

(04:18):
DM me or leave a comment andlike this is, this is what I
hear the most.
So I know there's a lot of youlistening to this that are still
falling into this trap whereit's like, okay, my target
market is women between the age.
is of like 25 and 45.
Okay.
Well that's about a zillionbillion people in this world.

(04:39):
I don't even know how manypeople are on their planet, but
you know what I'm saying?
That is very, very broad, verybroad though.
It may be specific to you causeyou're like, well, I'm not just
saying like everyone I'm sayingwomen and I'm saying, They're
saying their age group and youknow, that narrows it down,
right?
And it's like, well, not really, that's not really what it's

(05:00):
about.
In fact, it's not even so muchabout that, you know, the
demographics as it is thepsychographics, which I teach
you all this inside themembership.
But the quick gist of it is,it's more about a certain
lifestyle of a group of people.
That's really what it is.

(05:20):
And get freaking specific.
So it's not just me.
Women who are the ages between25 and 45 it's women who are in
the corporate world that havenine to five jobs that are very,

(05:41):
uh, demanding and, um, requirestrict, I don't know, clothing
like wardrobe has to be acertain thing.
Like you have to get really, really Specific on who you can
connect with the most.
So it can't just be extremelybroad because what happens is

(06:02):
nobody finds any value in that.
there's no connection being madethat actually gets.
Them to want to buy from youbecause they're not finding any
value in you because you're justlike everybody else.
So it's like, okay, scrollingby.
But when you connect with themon a deeper level and you know
who your target market is, theyare going to feel so.

(06:24):
special.
And you could literally chargeanything you want for your
products because they're goingto feel like it is extremely
aligned with who they are andyour stuff is exactly for them.
So instead of being broad, youneed to get specific to get more

(06:44):
customers.
If you don't do this in yourbusiness, you're going to
forever feel like you arechasing your tail because your
content's not going to hit, yourmessaging isn't going to hit.
Nobody's going to feel likethey, they want to buy from you
because there's no connection.
And you guys, people place valueon your products when they feel

(07:09):
connected with the message andthey place high value.
It's how people can sell theexact same product, but have
different messaging and havetotally different results.
Because the more clear you areon your message, And I know this

(07:34):
is a weird thing.
I know you think, well, listen,I don't want to pigeonhole
myself into this like tinymarket, but that is the whole
key to not only being able tocharge more and always have
people pay full price, but alsoactually create a customer base.
So if you're a customer basethat is going to shout from the

(07:56):
mountaintops about your businessand how obsessed they are with
you and your business and tellall their friends that it was
exact same lifestyle about you.
But if you're just a vanilla andgeneric, not only will they
probably not find you becauseyour content's going to end up
in the content graveyard beforeit even hits anyone's feeds.

(08:17):
But once they do see yourcontent, it's just going to be
another piece of content.
They're going to scroll by.
You're the same way.
When you are.
And the person is talking aboutthe product and they're
identifying literally it's likethey're in your head.

(08:39):
They're saying all the thingsthat you, you want from a
product.
And you're like, Oh my gosh, Ican't believe this is exactly
for me.
Like, yes, like I wouldliterally pay anything for this
and it's only 29.
95.
Here you freaking go.
It's because the only way tocreate a wildly impactful
business.

(08:59):
It's by getting super specificon your target audience.
It's not crazy.
It's crazy, but it's the truth.
Okay.
So if you want your customerbase to grow, I need you to
really dive into this.
Take some initiative.

(09:20):
Look at really who you'retargeting.
Are you just.
someone who's still saying I'mjust targeting like an age
group, you know, they graduatedfrom college, they have a
certain, you know, like, or areyou really going like I'm for
the woman who dot, dot, dot, she's working nine to five.
She goes out on the weekends.

(09:40):
She loves her girls nights out.
She loves partying with herfriends.
She loves going out to the cluband.
Just staying out till three inthe morning and then, you know,
getting up on Sunday and goingto brunch with her friends.
And maybe she's early, earlyinto her career.
She just graduated from collegea few years ago.
She's still like, you know, trying to find out who she is in

(10:02):
the world.
Like you, you really got to getspecific.
Right.
It's not just like post collegegirl, you know, ages of 24 to
28.
It's like, no, there's so manydifferent types of people that
age group, right?
Some are are career oriented.

(10:25):
Some own businesses.
Some are world.
Some are being nom back tocollege or you kn but post grad,
some are g So many differenttypes of lifestyles that fit
into a woman between the ages of24 and 28.
It's like, hello, we've got totarget our people.

(10:47):
Who can you connect with themost?
So make some notes after thispodcast.
Start thinking about that.
If you haven't figured this out, this is going to be like mucho
mucho major for you to get done.
It's a must.
It's a must do.
It's a non negotiable.
You got to get it figured out.
If you need help doing it, jumpin the trendsetter membership.
It's I'm a trendsetter.
com.
I have a whole training on thiscalled niches to riches.

(11:09):
Where I actually walk youthrough exactly how to do all
this.
So it's one of my favoritetrainings, by the way.
Ah, it's so good.
So good.
So good.
