(00:00):
What up?
(00:00):
Welcome to the LED Show.
Today we're gonna talk about theidea that your Instagram isn't
broken.
Your strategy is Okay?
Instagram is like this mysticalcreature that we all have to
deal with, and what I'm here totell you today is that so many
people just think that.
My Instagram is straight upbroken because no matter what I
(00:21):
post, no matter what I do, itstill feels like crickets out
here.
I still feel like, eh, I amgetting like followers every now
and again, but you don't feellike you've corrected the code,
so to speak.
I'm doing that in quotes onexactly what you need to be
doing in order to get Instagramto work for you, because at the
end of the day, once you figurethis out, you're gonna be so.
(00:42):
Freaking excited and feel wayless overwhelmed about content.
Content is gonna turn intosomething that you freaking
love.
Does that feel like totally outthere to you right now?
You're like, uh, content.
I don't wanna be a contentcreator.
Here's the good news.
Once you listen to this podcastepisode and you nail down what
(01:03):
I'm about to teach you, you aregoing to learn to, and not only
learn, but you will start lovingposting on Instagram and posting
content in general because youare going to feel so much more
comfortable with what tofreaking do to actually get
results from your content.
And I think a lot of timesbusiness owners think that.
(01:24):
The algorithm is the reason whythey're not seeing results, not
getting sales, not getting theclients or the customers that
they want.
But I hate to break it to you.
It's not that.
It's not that.
It's not the algorithm.
It's you my friend.
So I'm gonna show you the realreasons your content isn't
converting and exactly how tofix it.
You ready for this?
(01:44):
Are you over there going like, thank goodness, like, give
yourselves like a little roundof applause for listening to
this episode today.
Okay.
So first of all, let's talk alittle bit about some myths
that, um, are going on inInstagram.
So a lot of people think thatInstagram just isn't working for
them anymore.
Maybe the way that they used topost or the way that you used to
(02:05):
post used to get you results, and now it's just not working
anymore.
So what I want you to know isthat we have been driven to
believe that the more content wepush out there, the better our
results will be.
The more engagement we'll have, the more sales we'll have, the
more followers.
Followers will gain.
The more results, the bigger andthe better Everything's gonna
(02:27):
happen if you just push morecontent out there.
But it's not about posting more,it's about having a better
strategy.
So this should actually feellike a major relief for you
because how many of us freakinghave the time to post 10 times a
day on Instagram?
I mean, it's like raise yourhand if you're like, that is
just not the vibes that I wantfor my life.
(02:49):
'cause you found the rightplace.
So some things that people thinkalso is that like the algorithm
hates me, or maybe you think Idon't have enough followers.
I hear that one all the time.
If only I had more followers, myengagement is down.
So the whole thing here is youdon't have an broken Instagram.
You don't have a problem gettingvisible.
(03:11):
You have a messaging andstrategy problem.
And I think this actually meansyou get to take your power back.
And I always say this shouldfeel like a relief when I tell
you that your results are yourfault and your responsibility.
Instead of going, eh, I want youto go.
(03:33):
Yeah.
Okay.
I like that.
I like that.
The results are myresponsibility.
'cause who the heck wants todepend on some outside force to
be able to get any kind ofsuccess in their life?
You want it to be because of thework you're doing, the
strategies you're coming up withand taking, and the reps you're
putting in, and not placing theresults of your business in the
(03:54):
hands of a fricking robot or analgorithm.
So this is why I'm so excitedabout this episode, and by the
way, I'm also gonna be teachingyou this inside a free
experience that I'm launching.
Actually, I just launched ityesterday.
It's called Star Power.
Star Power, showing you how toget star power, how to become
(04:14):
unmissable, how to be soattractive that your customers,
your clients, your people, findyou.
Like a moth to a flame.
It's about this.
It's about star power.
If you want inside the freeexperience by the way, just go
on Instagram.
(04:34):
It's at allie.d.ceo.
Dm me the word star power andI'll like auto send you a link
for you to join.
It's totally free.
It's gonna be a masterclass anda private telegram group.
Okay, we're starting on April28th.
We may start a little early just'cause I feel like we need to
tailgate before the party goesdown.
But jump in today when you'rehearing this after the podcast
(04:57):
exit out, go to my Instagram, dmme the word star, power two
words, one word, however youlike.
And my little, um, automatedsystem will DM you the link to
join for free.
So super easy.
So let's talk about the realreason why you're not getting
sales from IG and you're notgetting the results that you
want.
So these are like the gut punch, okay?
(05:18):
But again, it's a good gut punchis if there's such a thing, this
is gonna be a good one.
So numero uno, your contentisn't aligned with what you
sell.
I actually just had a woman comeinto my dms and she was talking
to me about wanting to get in anaudit for her Instagram because
she was posting every day, butshe wasn't seeing really much
(05:39):
results, so she was putting inthe heart and soul.
I see that she's doing that, butthe reality is, and what I told
her and why I am like, yes, let's do this.
I have these, um, IG intensives.
You can DM me about it where wecan really go deep dive into
your Instagram strategy.
And what I was seeing with herin particular is that her
content was not aligned at allwith what she was actually
(06:03):
selling.
So her content was around onething, but what she was selling
is something totally differentand they're not aligning.
So for me, it's like a very easyfix as someone who does this a
lot and looks at people'sInstagrams like all the time,
and helps my clients with thisand helps the trends that are
girlies with this.
To me, this is always very, veryclear, but it's not to you as
(06:25):
the business owner.
And I would say, I'm actuallythinking like of multiple people
right now that I've worked within the past where they fixed
this one thing and they madetheir content more aligned with
what they're selling that hadcrazy results within just days.
These are easy changes that youwill see drastic results from.
(06:45):
So in terms of being alignedwith what you sell, it's not
even necessarily like physicallywhat you're selling, but it's
what is your brand about?
What do you wanna make peoplefeel?
What do you want them to connectwith in your brand?
Is your content aligned withthat?
Or is it all over the place?
Are you showing like, here's mydog, you know, eating his second
(07:10):
dinner, or here's my, you know,um, I don't know, like random
stuff.
This type of content we think weshould be posting because oh,
it's gonna show me I'm gonna bemore relatable.
But if you don't do it in astrategic way that's aligned
with your brand and what yousell, it's gonna fall flat.
And this is sad because you'relike, oh, I thought this video
was so cute and so great.
(07:31):
I love my content, and yeah, that's great that you love it,
and that might do great on yourpersonal page, but we're
building businesses here andwe're building big ones, so we
have to focus on posting contentthat's aligned with what we
sell.
This doesn't mean it has to beperfect, it doesn't mean it has
to be aesthetically like the,you know, perfect aesthetic feed
at all.
This is not about perfection,it's about substance.
(07:54):
What is the substance in yourcontent and is there a direct
connection between what you'reposting and what you're selling?
And I'm talking more about thetransformation here, the
aligning with your brand than Iam, and specifically like I have
this to sell and I want you tobuy.
It's more about the substance.
(08:19):
What is the substance of yourcontent?
Okay, next.
This is the next gut punchYou're posting, but not
positioning.
So you're posting a post.
Again, we love that you'reputting in the effort.
You get an A plus for that.
I'm clapping for you over here, but you're not positioning
(08:41):
yourself or brand in any kind ofway online.
So you're showing up, but you'renot standing out.
You're not giving yourself anykind of position.
Your brand isn't giving people areason to buy from you or follow
for you from you, or follow you, sorry, or engage with you over
(09:02):
anyone else.
There's no positioning there.
So that's the second issue thatI see.
Just posting, not positioning.
That means you're showing up butyou're not standing out.
And the third thing, the thirdgut punch is oof.
And this one's kind of a hardone.
You're showing up like a sidehustle or a hobbyist, not a CEO.
(09:30):
And what this means is you haveno strategy behind what you're
posting.
There's no clear journey forpeople to discover you, follow
you, and then buy from you.
You're just out there againposting the post.
No real thought process on howto take someone through a
(09:51):
customer journey.
I don't care if you are aboutique owner, you're a
photographer, you're ahairstylist, you're a nail
salon, whatever you do, you sellon Etsy.
If you don't have a strategybehind how you're showing up
online and you're just postingevery day just to post, it's not
(10:12):
gonna work, and you are gonnafeel invisible.
I don't know what it is rightnow, but the trendsetter
membership is blowing up theWINS channel, so I can't wait to
see what all these wins are.
So inside, by the way, sidenote, sorry.
Inside the trendsettermembership we have a WINS
channel where this is where Ihave the girlies like post any
good, anything going on in theirlife and their businesses.
(10:33):
That's Wins.
Great Wins.
Anything at all.
And it is blowing up right now.
So I can't wait to open up theWINS channel after I finish
recording this podcast.
Ah, okay.
So.
Now let's talk about the fix, right?
We talked about the reason whyyou're not getting sales from
ig.
Number one, your content isn'taligned with what you sell.
Number two, you're posting, notpositioning.
(10:56):
And number three, you're showingup like a hobbyist or a side
hustle, not a CEO.
These are red flags for anyonethat's trying to grow a business
specifically while also using IGto support your sales revenue.
Okay?
So now let's talk about howyou're going to shift this.
(11:19):
So let's do a little sell onsocial media strategy.
Okay.
This is like a simple three partframework that I'm gonna give
you so you could step into yourstar power and start selling
your star power.
Don't forget to join star power,by the way.
Okay?
Number one, you gotta clarifyyour core messaging.
(11:39):
Nail your brand.
What are you known for?
Who do you help?
How do you help them?
The more specific you get, themore money you make.
The riches are in the niches.
I have been preaching this sinceday one.
This is how you build milliondollar companies.
(12:00):
It's not from trying to peopleplease and be everybody's cute,
relatable friend.
It's from getting specific onyour brand message, who you are,
who you help.
Again, this is every singleindustry, every business.
This must be done.
You have to clarify that coremessaging.
(12:22):
Number two, you ready?
You're taking notes.
Number two, you have to createcontent with the buyer's journey
in mind.
So inside the Trendsettermembership, I teach what's
called the trendsetter contentstrategy.
This is where we create contentwith the buyer's journey in
mind, and it's how my membersinside trendsetter, it's how my
(12:44):
clients will transform theirbusinesses from getting like a
couple of sales a week or acouple new customers a week, or
clients to massively like 10Xing their results.
Because they start creatingcontent with a customer journey
in mind.
They're not just showing up andgoing, oh, I'm gonna post my dog
today'cause he's so cute and hegets me likes, great, I'm glad
he is so cute.
But likes are just likes.
(13:05):
And we don't care about vanitymetrics.
We wanna create a strategy foryour business.
And this means you have tocreate content with your buyer's
journey in mind.
So it's a three step process.
Inside trendsetter, we teach youhow to be seen, how to build
trust, and then to buy from you.
(13:26):
This is the core of everythingwe do in our content, and it's
how you will break through thenoise on ig.
So create your content with thebuyer's journey in mind.
Remember, they're gonna findyou.
Then you gotta get them to trustyou, and then you gotta get them
to buy from you.
This is a strategy.
We don't do this on a whim.
Okay?
And number three, for our threepart sell on social strategy,
(13:50):
easy fix it.
Method number three.
You gotta show up like abusiness, not a blogger.
Okay?
This means you're showing upwith intention.
You're building authority aroundyour brand.
You're building a connection.
You're building emotionalrelationships online.
You're not just selling to haveanother transaction, you're
(14:12):
building a brand, and you haveto show up that way.
This means ditching any languagethat feels like salesy.
Or weird or icky and starthaving good conversations
leading the conversationsonline.
With your content, are you justposting and posting random
(14:34):
content or are you showing up asthe leader of what you do?
So again, if you're a femaleentrepreneur out there, I don't
care what business you're in,you need to show up online like
a leader, not a blogger.
Okay, we're not describing a dayin the life 24 7.
(14:55):
This is what I see all the time.
So many people post this contentlike it's a day in the life of,
you know, a dot.do, let's justsay it's like a day in the life
of a hairstylist and you're,you're, no, that's your thing.
You're out there doing it.
I don't know why I keep thinkingof this.
It's just on my mind today.
Okay, so let's say you're ahairstylist.
You wanna grow your business, you're trying to do it online,
and you're posting day in thelife of a hairstylist.
(15:17):
Do you think that your idealclient who you want sitting in
your chair really cares aboutthe day in the life of your of a
hairstylist, or do you thinkthey wanna know what is the
perfect cut for the face of, forthe shape of their face?
Right.
Right.
Yeah.
(15:37):
This is where businesses getreally caught up in talking
about themselves all the timeinstead of talking about their
customers.
And by the way, this is a wholething.
You make this one shift.
You guys know I talk about thisall the time.
You make your customers yourheroes, everything's about them.
Your business will change andyou will make more money than
you could ever imagine.
But by you always posting day inthe life of a boutique owner day
(15:57):
in the life of a hairstylist dayin the life of a photographer,
your customers don't care aboutthat lovingly.
What can you do for them?
Here's the best haircut for theshape of your face.
Ooh.
Now I'm interested in what thisgirl has to say.
You build authority.
You show up like a brand, not ablogger.
(16:20):
So I want you to really thinkabout these things.
Okay?
So just to wrap it up, your yourfix it strategy here, your sell
on social media, fix itstrategy.
You gotta clarify your coremessaging, number one.
What are you known for?
Who do you serve?
How do you help them getfricking specific.
You think you're specific?
Get more specific.
Number two, create with thebuyer's journey in mind how
(16:43):
you're gonna take them from astranger on the internet to
actually buying from you.
And number three, show up like abrand, not a blogger.
Building your authority in thespace.
So again.
Instagram, it seems like thiscrazy mystical thing out there
where it's like, ah, if you justdo the right reel with the right
trending audio, you're gonna goviral.
(17:04):
That is such bs.
Instagram is not broken.
It's still having incredibleresults for so many brands every
single day.
But they're showing up withstrategy.
They're showing up not only withstrategy, but strategy that
works.
It's not just like, oh, thecontent strategy is posting
every day.
(17:24):
Like, what did he do?
No.
The content strategy is exactlywhat I've defined in this
podcast.
It's your messaging, it's yourbuyer's journey.
It's your authority.
It's how you show up in a clear, concise way that's built for
your customers, your people.
(17:46):
Okay?
And, and this is one thing Ialso wanna remember before I,
before I sign off your dreamcustomers, they're already
there.
They're already on Instagram,they're, they're chilling there.
They're waiting for you to makeyourself known so they can find
(18:06):
you.
Isn't that cool?
Like, we're not creating thisfrom thin air.
It's not like, oh, I have tolike build this random following
of people.
It's like, no, our job is justto communicate so clearly to the
people that we think are gonnabuy from us and show up and do
that, like simplifying thiswhole thing.
That's all it's about.
Once you speak to them, IG willdo the work for you in the
(18:31):
background.
IG wants you to be successful.
It wants your content to go intothe right hands of the right
people because that means moreMO law for them.
The longer the people stay onthe platform and engage with
other people that arelike-minded, the more money they
make'cause the more ads they canfreaking sell.
This is not rocket science.
(18:51):
It's all about the MO law forInstagram.
So if you're creating contentthat falls flat and is blah, and
no one connects with, they'renot, they're not gonna give you
no love.
It's not gonna give you any love'cause you're not doing your
job.
You're not holding up your partof the bargain, which is
creating content that actuallyspeaks to people so they engage
with you, so they follow you, sothey become obsessed with your
(19:15):
business.
Become raving fans.
And spend money with youregularly.
This is what it's about.
Okay.
I love you.
I hope this was helpful.
Um, I also, again, wanna remindyou that the Star Power
Masterclass and free experienceis open right now.
I may end up limiting the amountof people in there because it is
