(00:00):
Hello, welcome to the LED show.
Today is gonna be a goodepisode.
I'm gonna walk you through howto start your online boutique.
So I have been helping women dothis, and I have a boutique
launch framework that I'vegotten nailed down that really
has helped my clients go fromfeeling overwhelmed, fricking

(00:20):
Googling all night, savingYouTube videos, trying to piece
a bunch of random crap togetherto start their boutique and
feeling like.
I don't know what the heck I'mdoing to actually having a clear
path to make their dreams cometrue.
So if this sounds like you andyou've been wanting to start
your online boutique, thisepisode is gonna be for you.
And if you're someone out therewho's like Ally, I already got

(00:42):
my boutique up and running, thisis gonna be a good one for you
to.
To listen to as well becausethere may be some key steps to
getting your boutique startedthat you may have skipped or
overlooked because maybe you didduct tape your launch plan
together and you missed out on alot of things that are actually
going to have you have a lot ofsuccess as a boutique,

(01:03):
especially in the early days.
And listen, what I do wanna sayis if you are in the early days
of your boutique, this is.
A more challenging time'causeyou're trying to learn all the
things.
So remember that if you're inthe early phases, there's a lot
to learn.
That's why a lot of my girls, after, like a lot of the women I
mentorship will come to me atlike six months to maybe year,

(01:27):
year and a half, because theyfeel like they've.
Gotten that like scrappy, got itup and running thing going.
But then now it's like, okay, how do I create a real business
that generates sales on repeat?
And that's when I come in andgive you the strategy and the
systems.
So, yes, and by the way, I'vebeen having some amazing DM
conversations today with womenthat have come into, um, come

(01:48):
into message me after seeing myIG stories or tiktoks and have
been asking for some fun help.
And, um, don't be a, don't bescared to DM me.
I love talking to you guys aboutbusiness and seeing which
programs are gonna fit you thebest.
I literally live for this When Itell you that I'm so excited for

(02:08):
you to succeed, that is whatbrings me joy these days.
Okay?
That is like the whole thing.
So I am absolutely thrilled tobe in the mentorship era, and
it's been honestly the mostfulfilling thing I've ever done.
Besides having kids, of course, but y'all are a close second.
Okay.
Alright, so let's talk about howyou're gonna start your online

(02:31):
boutique.
And by the way, I'm not gonnagive you this, the like really
dumb advice.
It's not dumb advice, but it'slike the easy stuff that you can
Google, okay?
Like the documents you need, youneed to get your sales tax id,
you need to go to yourgovernment, like your state
government and get your LLC andlike all that stuff.
I'm not gonna.
Go through any of that.
I'm gonna talk about the realmoney making stuff.
So if you're stuck on any ofthat, girl, you can Google that

(02:53):
and figure that out.
And in fact, I want you to, it'spart of being a business owner
is being resourceful.
But this is like the nittygritty stuff that's really
setting your boutique up toactually generate sales when you
launch.
Okay, you ready for this?
You wanna learn?
We're high fiving each other inthrough the, um, interwebs right
now, and let's get started.
So I'm gonna go through, um,like a five step framework that

(03:18):
I've really found has been, again, very helpful to kind of
have like piece by piece, stepby step.
So I'll give you the frameworktoday and if you feel like you
want my help implementing thisinto your own boutique and you
want like.
Me in your pocket helping youwith this DM me because on
occasion I do have a spot opento help you with this privately.

(03:41):
So if that's something you'reinterested in, shoot me a DM and
I can let you know.
I don't always haveavailability, but if I do, or I
could tell you availability theyI have coming up, we could talk
about working together.
Okay, so numero uno, you wannastart your online boutique.
This is number one thing, andyou guys already may know this
if you're already, if you'realready podcast listeners, you
may know this, but number one, step one.

(04:02):
If I was going to help you startyour, your boutique, we would
get super clear on your boutiquevision.
Fricking clear, crystal clear,okay?
You need to have your visionnailed down as much as possible.
Now, again, none of these stepsdo.
I want you to get bogged down tothe point where you don't move,
but I want you to know that thisis what you need to do and.

(04:27):
Now you know what to think aboutand you need to stop Googling
everything else and just focuson this stuff.
Okay?
So first thing you gotta do isget super clear on your boutique
vision so you know exactly whoyou're going to be serving to
and selling to, and what you aregoing to be selling, right?
So who you're serving, whatyou're selling, who you're

(04:48):
helping, okay?
The boutique vision has gotta beclear.
Because doing anything withoutthat first step clear is going
to end up being a very confusingplace to be.
'cause as you move on in thesesteps, it all comes back to
this.
And listen, if you've alreadyopened your boutique and you
didn't get this vision partdown, you already know it's

(05:09):
affecting you right now.
Because 99% of the women thatcome to me that need help, this
step was skipped inadvertently.
It's not like you purposely didit, like you're trying to like
skate the system.
You just didn't know.
You didn't know what steps to doin what order.
And so now we're fixing it righthere.
Okay, so we get super clear onthe boutique vision.
That's step one.
Step two, you're inventorypurchasing.

(05:32):
This is a really important keyand it should come pretty f
pretty quickly if you're tryingto do this like.
In an expedited process.
You don't wanna spend months andmonths and months and months
figuring this out.
The next thing I want you tothink about is your inventory,
right?
And your inventory, which isstep two, has to be aligned with
step one, which is who you'rehelping and what you're gonna

(05:54):
sell to them.
And this is where a lot ofpeople, if they don't have step
one down and they go into buyinginventory, they end up buying a
bunch of random shizz.
And believe me, I've been here.
Listen, I've made all thesemistakes.
That's why I am able to tell youexactly what to do with 100%
certainty on what's gonna workfor you.

(06:14):
So don't make the mistake ofjust buying a bunch of random
stuff.
If you work with me, we getreally, really clear on exactly
what you should be buying foryour first round of inventory.
So you know when you launch.
You have the right productsavailable that your people are
gonna be obsessed with.

(06:35):
This is how you have asuccessful launch.
Okay?
So that's step two, inventory.
Step three, we gotta create ascroll stopping brand that
stands out from all the frickingbasic Bettys out there.
Boutique world lovingly is fullof a lot of basic Bettys.

(06:55):
And again, it's no fault oftheir own.
It's just not understandingsales and marketing.
And since you're in thiscommunity and you wanna be a
trendsetter, you understand thatyou don't wanna fall in line
with all the basic Bettys.
You wanna stand out, you wannabe different.
You want something authentic andunique that people are gonna
brag about.
That's what we work on in stepin step three.

(07:17):
Is making sure that yourboutique, your brand, your
business, your company standsout from the basic Bettys.
Okay?
So this means making sure thatyou are not just doing what
everybody else is doing, yourcarving out your own space by
having unique branding, and itall comes back to you and your

(07:41):
authenticity.
The more authentic you can be,the more of a unique.
An exciting brand you're gonnacreate.
So that's what number three is.
Okay?
Your scroll stopping brandnumber four, building your
online store.
This is gonna be the next partyou're gonna do.
Okay?
So number one, you get clear onwho your boutique is for and who

(08:05):
you're selling to.
Okay?
Number two, you get yourinventory lined up and you make
sure that that is aligned withstep number one.
Number three, you create yourscroll.
Stopping branding.
Okay?
Something that's different,something that's unique.
Branding, by the way, is notjust fonts and logos and colors,
okay?
Branding is a whole vibe.
How are you going to show up foryour boutique?

(08:27):
I.
What is the vibe?
What is, and this again, mustalign with step number one, your
ideal customer.
So if you are trying to create asophisticated brand that is
speaking to like the women thatare living the chic, luxurious,
high life in downtown, andliving like the penthouse and

(08:48):
they're very proper, your brandmust align with that customer
that you wanna help, meaning.
You, the way you speak, the waythe photos are taken, the way
the logo looks, the way thatthe, literally, the way that you
speak the brand tonality isgonna be one of the most
important things I.

(09:09):
And if you are creatingsomething that's like very easy
breezy, very casual, like you'regonna talk like you know how you
would to your talk to your bestfriend, you guys are real sassy.
Like you have a lot ofpersonality that needs to come
out in your brand.
What I don't wanna happen foryou is have it be very basic,
Betty, generic, vanilla, boring.
Okay?
So just a little tangent onnumber three, number four, I

(09:32):
said we're moving on to buildingour online store.
Okay?
This is the fourth step in thisframework.
I have a very simple secretsauce and I'll do a whole, I
should do a whole episode onthis, but what we wanna focus on
with your website is I wanna, Iwant you to know and understand
a few things.
Number one, you don't need tohire anybody for this step.
So stop thinking you need to gohire a website designer that's

(09:55):
gonna cost you$5,000.
Yeah, they're gonna create you asuper cute website, but they're
not gonna know how to actuallyconvert.
How to create convertingwebsites for your specific ideal
customer.
I want you to understand thisprocess, so I want you just to
use a free theme.
Okay?
Do the dawn theme, whatever.
Don't get carried away here.

(10:17):
Don't think you have to put ahundred zillion fonts and
graphics and colors and this, and fonts and worry about
changing everything.
I don't want you to changereally anything except adding in
your special, unique pieces.
So if you're in the trendsettermembership, I have a whole uh,
section on this of websiteaudits where I've audited

(10:37):
people's websites that havejoined the Trendsetter
membership.
This isn't an add-on, you cando, you can watch those website
audits.
You can see how I tell you toset up your website.
It's a very clean, very simplestrategic process.
So what I want you to know fromhere, because this is, you're
listening to me.
I can't show you this, so it'dbe hard for me to like explain

(10:58):
this via talking, but what Iwant you to understand is,
here's the big takeaway.
You don't need to hire someone.
You can do this yourself.
And in fact, I want you to dothis yourself at first because I
want you to understand theworkings of the Shopify website.
It's so easy, and I don't wantyou again to get distracted from
what they've already created intheir templates by trying to

(11:20):
change a zillion things.
The font doesn't matter at thispoint, okay?
The font that they're using, keep that font.
I want you focused on addingfun, unique elements that speak
to your ideal customer.
Okay?
So this is in your copy, on yourwebsite, in your graphics.
That's where I want you focused.
Super clear and simple.
Okay.
Simple sales.

(11:41):
So it's fourth step.
The fourth step that's buildingyour website and you're fricking
doing it.
Okay?
And number five, setting up yoursocials.
I.
Setting up your socials theright way.
Okay?
Again, everything in this littleframework goes back to the first
step, which is getting clear onwho you're serving.

(12:02):
So when you set up your socials, you need to have that person in
mind and everything that you dofrom your bio, from what you
post, from how you show up, fromwhat's in your captions, from
everything, everything goes backto being aligned with step
number one of who you sell to.
Okay?
So you gotta set up your socialsthe right way.

(12:24):
This means having a clearpicture, profile picture of your
logo.
Okay?
I love your face, but people arenot gonna get that you're a
boutique in a store.
You're gonna get, you're gonnaget friend zoned, okay?
We want people to know thatyou're here to help them with
products, meaning.
People are going to give youmoney.
Okay?

(12:44):
So I want you putting yourboutique logo nice and clear in
your profile page.
I want your Instagram bio to sayvery simply what you sell, who
you help.
We help blank with blank.
Okay?
That's always a great sentencethat you can start with.
We help blank with blank andkeep it simple.
Okay.
Don't get all crazy here.

(13:04):
You can always refine and fixthings as you go, but what I
want you to know is right now inthe beginning, we just need you
to launch and we need you tolaunch in the most simple and
effective way possible.
Simple, effective, nocomplexities here.
When you get all wrapped up inthinking you have to learn a

(13:26):
zillion, bajillion things, that's when you get so
overwhelmed that you end up notdoing anything at all.
Right.
So we're setting up your socialsand your email systems in this
step.
Okay.
Socials and then emails next, sorry, number six.
Let's make number six.
Email.
Let's get this nice and tidyhere.

(13:46):
Normally I do socials and emaillike the same week if we're
working together, but I thinkfor this specific episode or
this podcast, it's easier if youlook at it as two, two different
steps.
So we got your social setup, then you need your email system.
Again, remember this is the shizthat people don't wanna tell
you.
'cause they're just telling youto like, oh, go get your sales
tax I idea, and away you go.
Okay, well that's great.

(14:07):
That took you two seconds.
This is the hard stuff, right.
Not hard, but the money makingstuff, the, the stuff that
actually takes skills, okay?
So you can become successful.
I don't want you to just launcha boutique to crickets and then
nothing ever happens, right?
I want you making money.
I want you building a company.
I want you building like acompany that does so well that
you can do whatever the hell youwant in the day because you know

(14:29):
your boutique is bringing insales and you can afford to do
whatever you wanna do.
That's the, that's the, that'sthe whole idea here.
Freedom, time, freedom.
Okay, so number six, we'resetting up your email systems.
Here's the good thing.
I used to, I used toovercomplicate this not only for
myself, but even for my, myclients.
Now, Shopify has a really goodbuilt-in email marketing system,

(14:52):
so that's what I want you to do.
I want you to get familiar witha Shopify email marketing system
and use that.
Get it set up, get your popupcoupon set up.
Have a way for people to giveyou their email address so you
can start retargeting them inyour.
Emails.
Okay, so that's the next thingwe're gonna do.
We're gonna use Shopify for it.

(15:12):
And it's gonna be so simple.
You just add the email Shopifyapp.
It's free to get started.
You, you create a very simpletemplate and away you go.
Okay?
The next thing you need to planyour launch Simple strategy
again.
Okay?
Let's not get crazy here.
Make people feel excited aboutyour launch.

(15:37):
Creative, fun, simple strategiccontent and promo calendar for
your launch.
Again, I'm giving you like thecliff notes here, right?
And then the last step of theprocess is to launch your
boutique press launch, and awayyou go.
And when you follow a reallaunch system like this, where

(16:00):
I'm going through the things youactually need to do to generate
money, once the launch is here, you're gonna be so excited
because you have done the workleading up to this point, the
real work to actually get humansto buy from you.
And so many times people arejust like, well, I'm just gonna
get some inventory and you know,I don't know.
I'll like throw it up on thewebsite and then just hope

(16:21):
something sells.
It's like, no.
We can't do that.
That's not, that's not how weset the standard of being a
business owner.
I mean, you can do that, butyou're not gonna get sales.
It's like, what's the point?
Right?
So let me rerun through thislike launch framework that, um,

(16:42):
is again, a very clear path tosuccess for you.
Number one, get clear on yourboutique vision.
Number two, choose your firstbatch of inventory.
Thinking about.
Your customers, who they are andwhat they're gonna like.
Okay?
No random shiz here.
Number three, creating yourscroll.

(17:03):
Stopping unique brand.
No basic Betty stuff.
Number four, you're gonna buildyour online store using Shopify.
You're doing it yourself.
It's easy.
No tech stress, easy peasy, boutique squeezy.
Okay, number five, we're settingup your socials.
Number six, you're setting upyour email system so you're

(17:25):
ready to roll with that.
Number seven, you're planningyour launch.
Number eight, you launch yourstore.
Boom.
Badda, bing, badda, boom.
So if this sounds something, uh,or if this sounds like something
that you feel you are ready todo, this is full permission.
It's go time.
Stop Googling, stop staying upall hours of the fricking night

(17:47):
searching the internet, tryingto figure this all to out,
trying to piece it together.
This is your framework.
This is how you do it.
And if you're like, Ooh, Allie,I love this.
And I want your help, yourdirect support with this.
Again, just shoot me a dm.
Like I said, I on occasion willopen up one spot, um, to help
someone get through this andlaunch their boutique together,

(18:10):
which is super fun.
Um, it is really, really fun.
I'm not gonna lie.
And my clients have amazingresults and it's just so fun
watching them again go from likejust a total dream wondering
like, can I do this?
What if I fail?
Am I good enough to do it?
And then literally as soon as westart working together, it's
just like, and you guys cancheck my IG stories.

(18:31):
I sometimes post about it, butit's just like, oh my God, this
is so fun.
This is so exciting.
Like I'm crying, happy tears.
I love this.
It just takes the stress away, right?
Anytime you have frameworks andmentorship and help from someone
who's been there, done that azillion times, it makes life so
much easier for you.
So much easier for you.
That's the whole point.

(18:51):
That's the whole point oflearning something from someone
who's already done it.
Right?
That's what we're doing here.
That's why you're here.
Okay?
I love you.
Have an amazing day.
You got this.
