Ready to transform your product business from struggling to thriving? This episode delivers exactly what you need to hit that coveted $10K monthly sales mark.

Most creative entrepreneurs start their product businesses out of passion rather than pure profit motive. Yet that same creativity often leads us astray when we try to please everyone with an ever-expanding product line. The result? Constant tweaking, scattered focus, and disappointing sales despite your best efforts.

Breaking this cycle requires five strategic shifts that I've personally used to build multiple seven-figure product brands.

Want personalized guidance on implementing these strategies? DM me "strategy" on Instagram at ali.dee.ceo  to learn about my three-hour intensive sessions where we'll map your exact path to sustainable five-figure months.

Here's what I would do if I wanted to grow my

in the right place.
Let's dive in.
Hey, trendsetters, welcome backto the Allie D Show.
We got a good one today.
I hope you are feeling good.
We are starting another week ofentrepreneurship.
I love getting to spend thistime with you, and literally

(01:04):
just recording these podcasts isone of my favorite things in
the entire world to do, and I'mso glad that you love them.
So if you've been loving theshow, do me a favor, share it
with your trendsetter friends, your product-based business
owner friends.
Let them know about thispodcast, because I think there's
not a lot of information outthere for women that are trying

(01:24):
to grow and scale theirproduct-based businesses and if
it is, it's either very bromarketing or it could be very
one-sided.
It's someone that just hasexpertise in maybe one area and
hasn't actually been through itlike I have.
I'm literally like you.
I've been through the trenches,I know what it takes to grow
multiple million dollar brands, and that's why I love this

(01:45):
podcast, because I can share allthat information with you here
without feeling like I'm limitedto a three minute freaking
TikTok, okay.
So here's what we're going totalk about today.
You ready?
Give yourself the high fiveover there if you're ready, okay
.
So today we're talking about ifI wanted to grow my product
brand to 10K per month in sales, these are the five things that

(02:10):
I would do.
So for my product-based brandgirlies out there.
This episode is for you if youare trying to grow and scale
still to about 10K per month insales, because this, to me, if
you're not quite hitting thisyet, that means that there's
still a lot of foundationalthings that are missing from
your business, which is not abig deal, because most people

(02:31):
most of us that areproduct-based business owners,
we start this because number oneor I should say the biggest
reason we start typically isbecause we are creatives and we
have an idea and we havesomething we want to bring into
the world, something that'sunique and ours, and it's not
typically something like oh well, I just want to, like, make a
quick buck.
You know, I just want to findsome trending, random thing and

(02:54):
try to sell a bunch of it onTikTok shop.
That's not the vibes here.
There's so many people outthere that are really great at
that, but for me, I'm more like.
My focus is helping theproduct-based business girlies
who are out there, who have abrand that they're trying to
build and grow and scalesomething that's like their baby
, that they love, even if youmay not love it all the time,
because sometimes it's a pain inthe butt.

(03:15):
At the end of the day, we'renot going anywhere, right.
We love our businesses and wejust want the absolute best for
them.
So here's what I would do if Iwanted to grow my product-based
business to 10k per month insales.
I wasn't reaching that yet andI was missing some of these
foundational things.
So this is exactly what I woulddo and why they work.
Okay, so again, right now youprobably feel like you are

(03:38):
posting a bunch.
You're in like a never-endingtweaking stage, like not that
kind of tweaking, but tweakinglike you're always tweaking
things, like you're in like anever-ending tweaking stage,
like not that kind of tweaking, but tweaking like you're always
tweaking things.
Like you're tweaking thewebsite, you're tweaking the
logo, you're tweaking yourcamera graphics, you're tweaking
your product offering, you'retweaking your email marketing,
and you're like, okay, I'mtweaking everything under the
sun and I'm still not seeingresults.

(03:58):
There's still a lot of guessinggoing on, like you don't really
know exactly where to focus, and also a lot of hope, and,
quite frankly, I love hope.
So I'm not I'm not going to poopoo the hope, because we all
want to hope for the best, buthope doesn't necessarily bring
us results.
So it's kind of why you feelright now overwhelmed and
definitely underpaid.

(04:19):
So let's fix that.
Okay, let's get you out of thatrut.
So here's the five things that Iwould immediately start doing,
and if there's any of these thatyou're like, yep, I know I need
to be doing this, or maybeyou've started this or maybe
you're kind of like half doingit.
This is a reminder that theseare absolute must do's.
They're non-negotiables.
Okay, so the first thing Iwould do if I wanted to reach

(04:40):
10k per month in sales is Iwould literally niche down like
my income and life depended onit.
Because your income does dependon it, and I know we talked a
little bit in the last episodemore about niching down and how.
I believe this is the wholefuture of our industry the
combination of having theperfect niche with the perfect

(05:00):
niched down product and nothaving too many product
offerings and getting peoplescattered and all over the place
.
If you niche down like yourincome depends on it again like
it does, and stop trying to sellto everyone.
I love you, but you're stilltrying to sell to everyone.
Okay, we can't please AuntJackie, uncle Tim, sally, sue

(05:22):
from high school.
We can't please all thesepeople with our products, right,
and maybe you have some peoplepleasing tendencies and those
tend to come through becausesomeone's like, hey, you know
what you should make, you shouldmake that for so-and-so or make
something more similar for thiskind of thing.
You know, people kind of get inyour head and tell you you know
that you should be doing thisand should be doing that, and

(05:43):
that could be reallyoverwhelming.
But that takes you off trackfrom number one, your original
idea, right?
We've all kind of gotten offtrack of that.
First thing we thought aboutcreating, like maybe it was like
some super cute stationery.
And next thing, you know, yougot stationery, you got mugs,

(06:03):
you got stationery, you got mugs.
You got towels, you gothandbags, t-shirts, sweatshirts,
and you're like okay, but Ireally like, I really wanted to
create.
You know that one thing first.
So there's usually that onething and we can very easily
stray away from that, thinkingthat we're going to get more
sales if we have a biggerproduct offering.
This is one of the most commonmistakes that I see.

(06:24):
But this is why you're not yetreaching that 10k per month in
sales, because you've varied off.
You've gotten off the path ofwhat you first started this for
in the first place, and I don'tblame you Again.
We're creatives.
We have ideas pop into our mindall the time.
We're like I want to createthis and then I'm going to make
that and I'm going to do this.
And I've been there, I've beenwhere you are and getting off of

(06:45):
the path of what you are knownfor or what you want to be known
for is going to really hurtyour income because it's too
competitive, it's too noisy andyou won't be able to reach
anybody in the first place.
So stop trying to sell toeveryone.
Get wildly specific about whoyou serve.
Who are your heroes?

(07:05):
You guys know I talk aboutheroes.
In this community.
The customers are the heroes inthe journey.
It's not our brand, it's notour products, it's the customers
.
So who do you want to helpevery day?
Who does your product help andwhat do they actually want?
So this is again getting superniched right, like I talked

(07:25):
about in the last episode.
So that's the first thing thatI would do.
Number two I would createcontent with a strategy and not
vibes.
So posting randomday-in-the-life reels, random
small business, woe-is-me typeof content, random oh, I saw an

(07:46):
influencer doing this thing, maybe I should try it.
That's all.
Just desperately trying tofigure out a way to create
content which is, again, I getit.
I'm not trying to say you know, knock you or say like, oh my
gosh, but what I want you tounderstand is that's not how we
create content as businessowners and this is a never

(08:06):
ending hamster wheel of acontent creation nightmare that
I want you to get off of.
Okay, that's why I'm sayingthis again None of these things
is to make you feel like, oh, Ithought I was doing enough and
now I'm not.
My whole point here in thisepisode is to get you focused on
the right things, because Iknow it feels like a lot.
Episode is to get you focusedon the right things because I
know it feels like a lot.

(08:26):
So, when you create content froma place of like you know
something random, like you'renot really sure what type of
content to do.
So again, you start looking andseeing like what are the trends
?
What is she doing?
That ends up being a very, veryhard place to grow from and it
ends up with burnouts.
Or you're just out there hopingfor a freaking miracle.
Again there's that word, again,that I love hope, and I don't

(08:49):
want you to have to show up froma place like that.
I don't want you to show upfrom a place where it's like I
just hope that I'm doing thisright.
I want you to know, when youpress that red button and you go
to make content that you know.
The content is exactly what itneeds to be to take people from
being a random person online toone of your customers to loving

(09:14):
your brand, to becoming soobsessed with you that they're
like, yes, I want to follow themyour customers to loving your
brand, to becoming so obsessedwith you that they're like, yes,
I want to follow them, I wantto buy their stuff over and over
and over again.
That's what your content shoulddo.
It should not just be out therefloating in content land space
hoping that it's going to goviral one day.
So every piece of content thatyou make remember this Every
piece of content that you makehas a purpose.

(09:35):
It's visibility, it's trust orit's conversion.
This is what I teach you insidemy Trendsetter content strategy
.
If you're in Trendsetter, youknow this.
This is the three B's.
Okay, it's be seen, that's ourvisibility content.
Build trust Obviously, that'sour trust content and buy from

(09:58):
you.
That's our conversion content.
So it's the three B's.
So if you want to learn exactlyhow this goes, jump inside
trendsetter.
Dm me for the link, becausethis is going to be something
that's going to transform theway that you show up and do
content.
But content is not the end allbe all for your business.
It is very important, it is aheartbeat, but it is not the end
all be all for your business.
It is very important, it is aheartbeat, but it's not

(10:18):
everything.
You need to understand the fullpicture of growing and scaling
a product based brand.
So I don't want you to get andand it's it's wild how like 90
percent of your time and thishappens a lot with business
owners is focused on theircontent and they're leaving
hardly any room for effort inany other area to grow and scale

(10:43):
their business.
So, while content is soimportant you guys know I love
content and I love a goodcontent strategy I want you to
know exactly what you're doingso it opens up your time to be
able to do something else andyou don't always have on your
mind that feeling like I gottago create content, I gotta go
create content, I gotta gocreate content.
There is a world, I'm tellingyou.
There is a world where youlearn a content strategy, like I

(11:06):
teach you inside Trendsetter, and your content is more of a
set it and forget it situation.
That's what it is for me now.
Our content is so easy and funto make, because we know exactly
what we're doing and it has apurpose.
It's not just random.
So that's what I want you tounderstand.
That was number two.
Okay, create content with astrategy.
Number three who's ready fornumber three?

(11:29):
I want you to build a systemfor selling daily.
Build a system for sellingdaily, no more.
I only sell things when it's anew drop or a new product.
Guys, there's people out therethat sell the same product over

(11:49):
and over and over and over againevery single day, and that's
all they have.
So stop getting drawn into themind drama of, well, I need to
make it in another color, or Ineed to make it in another
variety, or I need to make like10 other random things that kind
of go with my product, but kindof not, because I want to try
to reach more people and maybeif I had more products and I'm
tired of posting the same thingover and over and over again,

(12:10):
get that mind drama out of here.
You could be making millions ofdollars selling one thing.
Going back to our stationeryexample, you could be selling
one style of stationery andthat's it and become a
millionaire Instead of focusingand using all your energy trying

(12:31):
to create a zillion differenttypes of products you could be
focused on.
Just how am I going to sell thisone thing every single day?
So it's on repeat.
It's like a machine.
So you have to set up a flowthat you can handle, that feels
good for you and your businessand your lifestyle, to bring in
sales 24-7 without needing newstuff, new promo, new discount,

(12:56):
new products, new color, newstyle, new.
I mean we got to get that gone.
We got to get that gone.
I was having this conversationinside Trendsetter VIP, actually
more about parring down on yourproduct offerings, getting
really specific again for thesuper niche so you can target
the right person with the rightproducts and have that explosion

(13:18):
happen.
When you do that, you justrepeat it.
We don't get emotional aboutyou know it's the same thing
happening.
We're making money over hereand we're doing it in a way that
it's like our business, it'sour product and sometimes it's.
Our job as a CEO is to rein inour creativity a little bit and
be like you know what?
I know I have a zillion ideas.

(13:39):
This is me 24 seven.
I am fighting new entrepreneurideas day in and day out.
Okay, this is my brainliterally every hour.
There's a funny meme where it'slike Steve Carroll from the
Office, I think is his name, andhe's like Steve Carroll from
the Office, I think is his name.
And he's like.
You know, I have had this ideasince noon, like, and you know,

(13:59):
I have been dreaming about thissince noon, that kind of thing,
right, and I sent it to myhusband because it's so funny,
because I'll be like Corey, Ihave been thinking about this.
This is going to be the next.
I've been thinking about itsince 10 minutes ago.
It's like okay, take a chill,right.
So this is why I don't want youto get again distracted.
I want you to focus on a systemfor daily selling and don't get

(14:21):
distracted by all the thingsthat are going to pop into your
head.
We're trying to get to 10k permonth here.
If that's the focus, this iswhere you need to be, not all
over the place.
Number four number four this oneis a good one, but it's again
hard for people to stick to pickone, maybe two Main sales

(14:45):
channels and go all in One ortwo.
My friend, you do not have tobe everywhere trying everything.
I would master one saleschannel first, okay.
So maybe this is TikTok shop, maybe it's your Shopify website,
maybe it's Etsy, maybe it'sPinterest, maybe it's selling on

(15:07):
Amazon.
Maybe it's Etsy, maybe it'sPinterest, maybe it's selling on
Amazon, maybe it's emailmarketing.
But master one or two of thesefirst.
Get really locked in bringingin consistent sales with those
first, before you add on moresales channels.
Do we need to and want to addon more sales channels?
Yes, but when we're still inthe growing phase and we want to

(15:28):
get to 10K sales, you're goingto get there much faster when
you hone in on just a couple andget really effing good at those
, instead of trying to spreadyourself too thin and being
everywhere at once, and thenyou're going to get very, very
small results from having yourfocus all over the place.
So it's like focus on whatyou're good at, get hardcore

(15:50):
good at that, get the salescoming in.
If you're like you know what Igo live once a week and show my
product.
Maybe you sell candles and yougo live once a week and you show
your cute little candles andyou talk to your customers and
you are getting a lot of salesfrom that, and you're only going
live once a week.
Because that's all the quoteunquote time you have to do it

(16:12):
because the rest of the timeyou're trying to go live on
Instagram and Facebook and scaleand go over here on Pinterest
and maybe you want to sell onwalmartcom and you want to go on
Amazon and Etsy and like you'reexploring all the things.
But the reality is TikTok iswhat's bringing in the money.
Go, what if you went live fourtimes a week on TikTok Forget
the other crap, get super goodat that.

(16:34):
Now you've 4x'd or maybe moreyour income and it's going to
continue to snowball effect andin just a couple months, instead
of you being all over the placehaving little sales coming now
and then, and mainly just fromone place, now you focus on that
one place.
You make it a machine for youthat prints money and you repeat

(16:54):
that process more.
You double, triple, quadrupledown on what's working and you
get to that 10K per month usingthat one or two channels.
I always like at least two, oneto two.
One if it's like social media, okay, so like one social media
channel plus one other channel,preferably.
Get really good at that andthen we can add in another one.

(17:18):
Right, then we can go.
Okay, well, I'm going hardcoreon my TikTok live.
My candles are selling likehotcakes on there.
It feels fun, I like it, I lovebeing live on there and you
know I really hated trying tomake Pinterest posts and I was
just doing it because everyonesaid, oh, you need to be on
Pinterest.
And Pinterest is a searchengine which, again, it could be

(17:39):
very good for you if that'syour thing.
Some people love Pinterest andthey're going to look at TikTok
and they're going to turn theirnose up at going live on TikTok.
And this is the beauty of beingan entrepreneur Is that you are
the one in control of how youshow up and sell your products,
what feels good to you and yourlife, and get super focused on

(17:59):
that.
Okay, will you promise me this?
Will you promise me, after thispodcast, you're going to pick
your one or two channels and goall in and really start building
, building, building.
Look at the data.
Where is it currently coming infrom?
Where are the sales currentlyfeeling easier than other places
?
Make a strategy for that, okay.

(18:20):
And then, lastly, show up like aCEO, not a hobbyist.
This is a massive one, becauseyou still see yourself as like a
hobbyist.
You're not looking at yourbusiness like we're doing.
Five figures per month, sixfigures per year, seven figures

(18:41):
per year.
It's a different energy whenyou show up from a place of.
I'm not a hobbyist, this is myjob, this is my career.
Not a hobbyist, this is my job, this is my career, this is my
passion, this is my company.
Use the word company becausethat instantly elevates
everything that you do in yourmind, because when you think of
a company, you associate thatwith something big, something

(19:02):
massive.
It's a company.
So think about your business asyou're running a company.
You're not running a hobby, you're not just having a cute
little business, a littlecreative thing.
You know, people are going toask you how's your little
business doing?
Oh, it's doing great.
We just did 20K in sales today.
What?
That's not just a littlebusiness, that's a company.

(19:23):
And I want you to start thinkingmore like that.
How would you show up or whatwould you see yourself doing if
you were making 10k per month insales?
Visualize that right now.
What is your, what does it looklike?
The you that's making 10k permonth in sales?
What is she doing?

(19:43):
And instead of waiting to dothat, do it now.
Would you be going live more Ifyou thought, okay, yeah, if I
was making 10K per month insales for my product brand, I
would definitely be live onTikTok three times a week.
I would be killing it on myInstagram, like whatever it
looks like for you, right?
Maybe it's well.

(20:04):
I would have added 5,000 morepeople to my email list.
I would have more people in myFacebook group.
Again, this is customizable toyou and your business.
By the way, if you want helpcustomizing any of this, dm me
the word strategy or hit me upon Instagram, because I do have.
They may be sold out by thetime you hear this, but I do

(20:25):
have just a couple of strategysessions left and I may open up
some more because they've beenjust snatched up so quickly.
But these strategy sessions isthree hours working with me
inside telegram where we map outexactly what you need to do
based on your business, like Idive into your business with you
and then I give you the exactplan you need to know what to

(20:49):
focus on to grow and scale yourbusiness by the end of the call.
So no more guesswork.
At the end of the call you'regoing to know okay, here's the
truth.
Here's what I need to beworking on.
They are so fun, by the way.
So if you're like, yeah, I needa three-hour strategy session
with Allie, just DM me about itand we can talk about it.
Okay, I actually just had anInstagram message come through
as I'm recording this thatsomeone said, yes, I'm in, send

(21:10):
me the link.
So these are going super fast.
So three hours working with mespecifically on creating a
strategy for your business.
By the end of the three hours, you're going to know exactly
what to focus on.
Doesn't that sound amazing?
It's just, ah, knowingKnowledge is power, right?

(21:31):
So, just wrapping up again, number five you need to show up
like a CEO, not a hobbyist.
Treat your business like acompany, not a side hustle, and
that alone is going to make ahuge difference.
And I want you to think aboutit every day when you wake up.
You guys, I have thetrendsetter way inside the
membership inside trendsetter, which is literally a map of how

(21:53):
you can set yourself up to thinklike a CEO every single day.
It's the blueprint, it's theframework.
If you're like Allie, I don'teven know how to think like a
CEO.
Go inside trendsetter, watchthe first training, the
trendsetter way, where I map itall out.
It was a really fun training.
By the way, it was a live Zoomcall and I went through
everything that you need to doas a CEO to switch your focus,

(22:14):
because this alone could get youto 10k months in a week.
It's that powerful.
All right, friends.
So that's the five things.
Let's run through them again incase you're taking notes.
Number one niche down like yourlife depends on it not to be
dramatic.
Number two create content witha strategy, not vibes.
Number three build a system forselling daily.

(22:34):
Number four pick one or twomain sales channels and go all
in.
Remember one could be socialmedia.
One something else.
Number five show up like a CEO,not a hobbyist.
All right, thank you so muchfor listening to this episode of
the podcast.
Again, if you like it, leave mea review, share it with your
friends, dm me on IG and let meknow.

(22:56):
We have so much amazing stuffcoming in the next month or two
for the Trendsetter program.
I can't wait to share with youguys the announcements and
everything that's going on.
If you have any questions onyour business, please feel free
to DM me on IG and I'll see thebest way that I can support you
and your growth.
