The great and powerful President Donald J. Trump has once again emerged victorious over the feckless Progressive Fascist Democrat party, this time by defeating the Senate Democrats on the filibuster that had driven the longest government shutdown in US history—forty full days.
The filibuster was defeated in a late-night vote yesterday, with eight Democrat Senators finally voting with Republicans to achieve the 60 votes necessary to end the filibuster and allow a continuing resolution to fund the government to move forward to a vote.
Last night’s vote only ended the filibuster, blocking consideration of a continuing resolution, however—as of right now the government remains shut down. The next step will be to have a vote to pass a continuing resolution to fund government operations, and that is expected to still take a day or two.
BEST OF ALL—it looks like Trump and the Republicans were able to achieve this tremendous victory over sustained Progressive Fascist Democrat resistance without having to give up ANYTHING of strategic political importance.
