Welcome to this episode of TheAngel Rated Show. My name is
Angela Bryant. And with metoday, I have Priscilla Stephen.
So Priscilla is an intuitivebusiness strategist, and creator
of the Soulfluent LeadershipArchetypes, she excels at

(00:52):
helping people identify theirzones of genius, step into
powerful leadership and livetheir purpose profitably. So,
welcome. Thank you. Do you wantto just start by telling us a
little bit about yourself andyour online business?

Priscilla Stephan (01:10):
Yes, I have been in business for 10 years as
a coach, this is my secondbusiness iteration. The first
one was a learning experienceversus a failure with a business
importing fashion accessoriesand jewelry from Brazil, which
is where I'm from. And that wasthree years. And my first

(01:32):
attempt at business. And then Iwas an emotional eater for 30
years who doesn't like to eat afew extra cupcakes or a whole
cheesecake right when you'refeeling down. And so I went to
health coaching school to workon my own eating issues and came
out with a coaching certificateand started coaching people on

(01:52):
that which turned out to reallybe about helping people find joy
in their work more than why theywere, you know, because the food
is always a symptom of a deeperrooted problem issue. And then I
came upon the Akashic Records, which is a way for you to
connect to your soul and yoursoul guides. And that had been
the missing piece that I've beenwaiting for. And then I realized

(02:15):
that I had a specific talentwhen I connected to people's
guides to help them grow theirbusiness, live their purpose
through their business in a veryaligned way. And then I switched
out of health coaching aboutfive, four or five years ago to
doing intuitive business. Andthen a couple years into that
realized I had an ability todownload very dense content from

(02:38):
the ether, let's put it thatway, which became this
Soulfluent Leadership Archetypesbody of work helping people be
really good leaders leading fromtheir souls. So that's a short
wrap up of 10 years. Plus, I gotfired twice before it started
this plus I was in theenvironmental field for a
decade.

Angela Bryant (02:56):
Yeah, fascinating background, lots of different
things going on there. So forthose who aren't, or don't know
anything about Akashic Records, tell us a bit more about what
they are and what that means.

Priscilla Stephan (03:08):
Yeah, so I came upon this by accident. And
I worked with Mike, who becamemy teacher on a program for five
weeks called heal your bodystories, you can do a lot of
really deep soul healing in theAkashic records, and I was like,
Oh my god, this is such a potentspace of, of healing. And then
she taught me how to connect. Sothe Akashic Records I describe

(03:29):
as this Harry Potter kind ofbeautiful library, in the ether
of everything of this databaseabout your soul of everything
that your soul has experiencedevery lifetime. And it is a
space of deep love and truth.
And it is a space where you canconnect to your soul guides.
They're called the recordkeepers, the keepers of your
souls records. And you can askthem for guidance and clarity on

(03:50):
anything you want in any area ofyour life for healing. It is not
predictive, it is a space ofempowerment, so that you can
show up, ask really potentquestions. And they will give
you the guidance that you want.
Not always what you want tohear, but what you need or will
support you. And you can askquestions about anything health,

(04:12):
business life, relationships, healing, heel past life stuff. I
mean, it's amazing what you cando. And while we all have
different abilities in therecords, I find that most people
tend to either have a broadspectrum, I'm very focused on
business, I don't dorelationships, I don't do
health. I'm definitely not amedical intuitive. I can tell

(04:35):
you if there's something goingon, I can't really diagnose but
I have an uncanny ability forbusiness to really channel the
direction of the business movingforward, and kind of how to help
someone really, truly live in afulfilled way through their
business. And I'm passionateabout business and I think it's
God. Isn't it fascinating whatwe can create out of nothing.
And so, I've never taught theAkashic records. In all these

(04:59):
six, seven years that I've usedthem, you know, to read for
other people and for myself, butguess what, last week, my
guides, I call them the sneakyfuckers. They were like, Oh, I
think it's time for you to goteach the Akashic Records now.
So, five years ago, I downloadedmy own methodology to teach the
records including how to readthe Akashic records of people's
businesses, because everythingthat has consciousness has an

(05:22):
Akashic Record. So a country, ahurricane, a home, your
relationship, your children, everything has an Akashic
Record, like a library ofcontent or guides to help them.
And so so in addition to theSoulfluent Leadership Archetypes
and the book coming out thissummer, US summer, is now I'm
going to start putting togethera training to help entrepreneurs

(05:46):
and people that feel called tothe records, I feel like it's a
calling a pull to to connectwith their own guides, and if
they choose then to learn toread the records of other people
and help them with theirpurpose. So does that help at
all?

Angela Bryant (06:00):
It does, you're clearly so passionate about it,
and it's Yeah, I was gonna comeon Ask a bit more about the why
behind your business. But Ithink you've, you've you've
taken this there already.

Priscilla Stephan (06:11):
Yeah, I guess, here's what I think, you
know, maybe because I wentthrough three really big career
changes that were so painful isthat I believe that everyone has
magical, talented, you know, beautiful gifts that when
applied in the best possibleway, it will change the world.
And I feel like we all deserveto feel fulfilled in our work,

(06:31):
and to have a sense of purpose.
And I, you know, there's my sun,the logo is this, my, my logo is
the sun because the sun is aboutpurpose, and living that sense
of Northstar direction. So I'mhere to really help people live
their purpose through theirbusiness and to do it by, like
you said, really leading withtheir greatest talents and what
they do so naturally, thatsometimes they forget that they

(06:54):
can get to be paid really wellfor.

Angela Bryant (06:59):
Yeah, that's fantastic. So where do you want
to? Where's what's your visionfor your, for the, for your
business moving forwards? Wheredo you want to see it going?

Priscilla Stephan (07:07):
You know, it's a split, because there's a
part of me that wants to live asimple life, you know, I was
when I dream of maybe going toWales or going off to England
someplace and finding a nicelittle cottage and just living a
simple, beautiful life in natureand just very grounded, simple
and my clients want a simplelife, even though they're high

(07:28):
achievers like I am. On theother hand, I was given a body
of work. And now, the AkashicRecord piece too that, honestly,
I think has the potential totruly make millions of dollars,
right. And then I'm like, Thatsounds fun. But a simple life
really sounds great, too. And soI guess I'm just taking it a day
at a time because this work hasso much so many arms to it, like

(07:52):
certification programs, and thisand that, but I have learned to
hold the container ofpossibility for the greater
vision, and to stay in the nowwhich is to finish the
Soulfluent Leadership BusinessGuide, which is to continue to
be an apprentice of the work tobecome a better person, and to
see where it goes. But thevision is that you know, we are,

(08:16):
we become better leaders that wetruly lead from a place of deep
integrity and alignment. Andthat we just be happy someone
asked yesterday in in a in atraining I was in, like what
would be the first thing youwould tell someone and I the
first thing that came to mindwas, life is short, live your
dreams. And I think to me, mytagline used to be live your

(08:40):
live the dream. And I think I'mvery passionate about people
living their dreams, because Ithink our dreams hold, that
beautiful essence of soul and anpurity that will make the world
a better place and make ushappy.

Angela Bryant (08:57):
I love the sound of Yeah, make being happy,
simple life, but also being yourauthentic self and sort of
moving in that direction all thetime. Because that's that's all
we should be doing really. So isthis something you want to be
known for, or some of the legacyyou want to create out the back
of this?

Priscilla Stephan (09:17):
I struggle with that one too? I mean, if
these bodies of work continue toshine between the Akashic
records and and also thesupplement leadership
archetypes, the legacy is thatall of this is designed to help
you understand yourselfintimately and to know that your
whole perfect being and that youdon't have to try so hard. And

(09:37):
whether you do that through yourwork through your business
through anything is that I thinkthat I said this to someone else
in their interview yesterdaythat I said what happens when
you're at peace, I said, youstop striving you're fully
present and living inTechnicolor in the moment. And I
think for me, if I could doanything is for someone to feel

(09:59):
so Whole and at peace withthemselves that they don't feel
the need to prove or striveanything they can if they want
to. But it would come from thathigher perspective versus I got
to prove, which is so much ofwhat I did so long and that
caused a lot of burnout andsuffering.

Angela Bryant (10:20):
Yes, I hear you on that. Definitely. So what
about the sort of values of yourbusiness? What are the sort of
principles, your business runson?

Priscilla Stephan (10:30):
integrity, and I'm reading is a great book,
it just came out by Martha Beckit's called the way of integrity
and just reading that becauseshe talks exactly about that,
that polarity that push pull ofreally following what does it
mean to follow your true natureversus conditioning of society,
you know, what you must do to besuccessful? I think we all go

(10:52):
through that. So my values areintegrity, we staying true to
yourself excellence, I'd love todo good work, you know, and do
what I say, say what I do and,but my true values I put on my
website are flexibility, generosity, kindness, I would
say I think people sense thatfor me that there's a loving

(11:13):
kind and nature about megenerosity, for sure. And I'm
flexible I you know, we set weget sick, sometimes we're tired,
like, I'm not rigid, you know, Idon't do rigid at all. It's
awful. And so just kind of beingfluid. And I think that Yeah,
and I think mastery is somethingI love to it's something I love

(11:35):
and high quality I love as wellI have noticed that the things
that I truly love in the world,I don't care for you know, the
Chanel or the brand names perse, I care for I really I love
artisanship, or artistry, youknow where you can see now those
carpenters or the jewelry peopleor there's such, there's such a

(11:56):
technique to it. There's suchlove and devotion and dedication
to what they do to creatingbeautiful things. And that to me
is just beautiful. So yeah, Iwould say that those are some of
the qualities and then fun andadventure to you know, I love to
travel. And I love beauty. Ilove beautiful things,

(12:17):
everything in my business iswell, pretty. It matters to me,
I don't want it to be cheesy orugly. And my new homepage is
just going to be up this week.
And it's pretty sparkly, gold, Ilike things that sparkle, lots
and lots of sparkle and magic.

Angela Bryant (12:36):
I love that. Just um, yeah, aligning it with who
you are. And what you love isjust makes so much sense. So
what about does your businesshelp sort of give back in any
way? Do you support anycharities? Do you have any
scholarships? Is there anythingthat you sort of do to help
address some of the awful issuesthat are going on in the world,

Priscilla Stephan (12:58):
I haven't much and I swear I really try to
be honest with myself, I havegiven occasionally to charities
like St. Jude's for pediatricchildren with cancer and stuff
like that. But I actually justrealized this yesterday, there
are two things that I do thatare natural extensions of me and
business that I do when it feelsaligned is an incredible

(13:22):
connector, my connections makepeople because I see that
connections are a way of mehelping people live their
purpose. Like sometimes if youjust make that one, you know,
that person can just changeeverything it can be in your
partnership, my web person andmy graphic designer are now
massive business partners, Iintroduced them, you know,
colleagues and my clients, theyget the benefit of that. And so

(13:46):
that's a natural extension thatI do regardless. And the second
one is, I've learned as an I'm amystic leadership, Soulfluent,
mystic archetype, which meansthat just embrace that I hold
space for people and I'm acatalyst people. When they come
into my space, they heal, theyget insight, they also have
ideas. And I'm a good soundingboard for getting them to be

(14:09):
honest and real with themselves.
And so just even the last thismonth alone, it's part of a kind
of a group I belong to. I'vebeen interviewed maybe five
times by colleagues that likeI'm either their ideal client,
or they really would like and Iwas like, No, I can help you
with something. And so mygenerosity is just holding space
for someone and it brings mejoy. I don't expect anything

(14:31):
from it. And it's a way for meto kind of give back in a way
now with time and eventuallythere might be money too. So
it's it's simple. It's somethingI do naturally anyway. And I can
I see it as a way of furtheringsomeone because if I can provide
insight that will move themahead, I am still fulfilling on

(14:51):
the purpose of helping them livetheir purpose.

Angela Bryant (14:58):
It plays to your strengths as well. So I mean,
that's the ideal scenario, isn'tit that you're using your
talents and your skills to,

Priscilla Stephan (15:06):
and the value and the generosity and the about
the strengths, which is holdingspace and being a catalyst

Angela Bryant (15:13):
all coming together into one place. So is
there anything different in yoursort of more personal values
that don't play out in your workvalues anything more from you as
a person about your, yourworldview, or how you see
things?

Priscilla Stephan (15:26):
I think for me, it gets the two words that
come to mind, compassion is one,I think that an empathy, I think
that this can certainly gothrough work, I think that we're
just too hard on ourselves andtoo judgmental, I can be very
harsh. I'm just judging, sometimes people. And I think
that the world will go withdiscernment, of course, will go

(15:47):
so much farther, if we can justhave a little extra dose of
compassion, I think, especiallycoming out of a pandemic and all
the suffering we have seen andexperienced, even if we feel
extremely blessed, like we havebeen very fortunate. I think
compassionate empathy can go along way that creates
connection. And I think, to me,I think one of the greatest
things we can do for any humanbeing is to witness them to

(16:10):
really hold space and see themand allow them to be seen and
heard. And I didn't really fullyunderstand the power of
witnessing until I got marriedthree years ago, and just having
70 friends and family cometogether here in San Diego, and
bear witness to our love andbear witness and celebrate with

(16:31):
us. It really truly was a riteof passage and it anchored to
the experience, because not onlybecause it was witnessed because
it was shared with a group ofpeople. And it wasn't just
something for us, because we hadcontemplated just you know, just
the two of us someplace. But Iwas like, no, it needs to be
witnessed. And so I think in ourtransformational work, or as

(16:51):
friends and colleagues, justholding that space for someone
to be witnessed in their painwithout trying to fix it or
witnessed in their celebration,I think can be the deeply human
humanizing, and empoweringexperience.

Angela Bryant (17:07):
Sounds wonderful, and good. And it's so good and
so lovely that you obviously hadthe opportunity to do that.
Because I know that obviously,so many people over the past
year haven't been able to havethe wedding that they want.

Priscilla Stephan (17:19):
I know, I know that might sound a bit like
when I started to think aboutthe brides I was heartbroken.

Angela Bryant (17:25):
Yeah, massive changes to people's plans. And
yeah, travel and funerals andeverything. Just Yeah, really
everything hit by what's beengoing on. So tell me about
whether, what causes sort ofthinking sort of bigger picture
world causes that you feel moststrongly about? I know, you said
that you've sort ofenvironmental policy background

(17:46):
is that

Priscilla Stephan (17:46):
I do? Well, that my husband is you know,
both my husband and I both havegraduate degrees in
environmental policy I, for me,environmental policy, he is in
science and environmentalscience. My husband is very
passionate about climatescience, and you know, the end
of the world and how importantit is to do something now, which
I don't disagree. I am verypassionate about women's
education and empowerment, andreally giving the space for

(18:10):
women to be acknowledged andcelebrated and seen for the
incredible gifts that they have.
I think we all as humans cansuffer with self doubt, I think
women in particular can also beplagued by that. Whether it's
cultural, religious, you know, traumatic experiences I have
been, especially as a mystic, fobbed out is my kryptonite, you

(18:31):
know, it's very tough. And sohaving a space to encourage,
motivate, and mentor women andcelebrate them and cheer them on
and give them the resources. AndI also am passionate about
entrepreneurship and givingwomen the resources and the
tools, especially if in my caseI don't give money, but you know
that women have the space toreally be given a chance

(18:54):
because, you know, businessescan really make a huge
difference in the world,especially Soulfluents
businesses that are here tocreate what I call the 360 win
where you win as the owner, thecompany, the team, the clients
and the planet, right. Yourchoices have positive ripple
effects. It's you know, the kindof whole concept of conscious
business, right business thatdoes good, supports the greater

(19:16):
good. So I think those are, those are a few. And I also
believe in people traveling, Ithink it's so important when we
get to do that, again, to getout of your bubble, and to
explore the world and culturesand way of seeing things that
are very different from you thatyou can both learn compassion
and acceptance but also realizethe humanity of all of us that

(19:40):
transcends time, spaceboundaries and all of it.

Angela Bryant (19:46):
You're really talking my language having done
two lots of six months travelingin the last four years, it is so
eye opening and yeah, that ideaof making conscious choices
about the impact you have isabsolutely what I'm what I'm all
about. And it really rings true.
So that's lovely. So youmentioned your husband, just

(20:06):
then a bit earlier and thetalking about your wedding as
well. So tell us something abouthow you met.

Priscilla Stephan (20:14):
Yeah. So I moved to San Diego from New York
City. I was escaping one morehorrible winter. And so I was
here kind of just trying out SanDiego, and I saw a Facebook post
about a Dirty Dancing workshopfor men and women for singles.
And I was here by myself.
Totally peeing in my pants. Soscared because I was afraid of

(20:36):
men. You know, I was alreadywhat at that point? 40 41 I
think I was no spring chicken.
And so I went, and all I toldmyself, I got the Uber, right,
because I didn't have a car hereat the time. Just go. If I get
really scared, if it's awful,I'll just leave right. That's,
that's my out. Got thatliterally practically peeing in

(20:58):
my pants. I was so scared. I'mlike, I don't know anyone. What
are they going to do to us? Andit was kind of like conscious
relating. So we had exercises, couples exercises rotating like
group exercises, we started wewent around the circle. And I
think I blurted it out. I'mterrified of men and a terrified
of being here. I think I justneeded to say it. And then we
just did partner dancing. Itwasn't some raunchy kind of

(21:19):
thing. But it was all aboutrelating and connecting through
dance. And so there's a lot ofrotating, there's 18 men and 18
women. And it took me about twothirds into the to the evening,
there was this apartment thathad this gorgeous view of the
ocean. And, and then I met myhusband came around, he was in a

(21:40):
black shirt, and I think hisglasses, and I thought he was an
accountant or something, youknow, because there was music I
couldn't hear very well. And Iwas just trying to not look
stupid because I'm not gooddancer. Even though I'm
Brazilian, I should supposedlyyou know know how to shake my
bum bum, but I don't. Butanyway, and we both It was truly
electric, the moment we danced,we we both felt this

(22:02):
Thunderbolt. And then a secondsong came and I didn't want to
let him go. And then we bothfelt this kind of Shockwave
again. And then another songcame and we were supposed to
switch partners. And I said no,I don't think we need to switch
partners anymore. And then westayed together and just you
know, watch this moonlight andall of that. And then he texted

(22:24):
me that night. And we startedchatting and then we went on our
first date the you know, thatweekend? And and that was
really? Yeah.

Angela Bryant (22:35):
So amazing. I don't know, when you when I read
when you said that you? Yeah, aDirty Dancing night. I didn't
quite know whether I wasthinking the film or whatever I
was thinking about. Yeah, eroticdance or something in between a
bit of everything.

Priscilla Stephan (22:47):
It was a movie kind of thing it wasn't,
it wasn't raunchy, or, you know, anything like that. But it was.
Yeah. And it was just magical.
It was it was just so meant tobe and and we had been single
for a very long time. Myhusband's about 13 years older
than I. So yeah, we becamepretty inseparable. We moved in
together three months afterthat. We got engaged about two
years after that married, liketwo or three years. Yeah, three

(23:11):
years after we've known eachother now for six years. In
June, and married three,

Angela Bryant (23:18):
Fantastic. Oh, that's lovely. Congratulations.
love a good story. So anythingelse about your I guess you as a
person, anything else that makesyou tick that you want to share
with us?

Priscilla Stephan (23:34):
Yeah, I'm, I'm passionate about just
encouraging people to live theirdreams, I think it matters. I
think dreams kind of fire me getput a fire under me ignite this
passion. Because I think itcauses so much, you know,
misalignments of work, causedis-ease, physical, emotional,

(24:00):
psychological, mental. And I seeit with my husband, you know, he
really wants to be doing climatescience work. And he's a
software engineer. And he toldme yesterday and he actually
said it's like, do it. What'sworse, a lonely life or an angry
life because he was very lonelybefore he met me. And now he's
kind of angry because it's notdoing what he wants to do. And

(24:20):
that's on him to figure out butit's hard to see him this
unhappy in a way because he hasa great team and a great job but
it's not the work that fires hassoul, you know, ignites his
passions. And it's so sad to saythat, you know, a sad, sad soul.

(24:41):
So I want more happy souls doingthings they love really firing
up their engines. And it's funnythat that's really what's
happening under my own roof. Youknow? I think that's it and we
now have a little maltipoo andcats so I've become really
passionate about rescues andanimals, we don't want to have

(25:03):
children. So these are our furbaby. And we love hosting and we
love bringing people together.
What it is that Alex said thatwe're like the not the foster
home, but we're like the placelike the dumping ground for
people like in between intransition. We'd love to be a
safe haven for people. You know,we're good to our friends, you
know, we would love to havepeople come to our home, we've

(25:23):
had people gone throughrelationships and stay with us.
So I think just we're a placefor people to know that they're
the, you know, we can kind of bethat little nestd before they
can go fly off again. Yeah, andI love family and people and
people genuinely fascinate me,they both terrify me because I

(25:44):
think I have a bit of socialanxiety, you know, and but I'm
fascinated by people I've alwayswanted to know, why do people do
what they do? Yeah,

Angela Bryant (25:54):
it's so clear that your your passion for
people finding their purpose andliving their purpose just shines
through and your energy is justso positive and uplifting, I can
see that you providing a realsafe haven for people in your
home. And, yeah, a lovely spotto come and rest and recuperate.
And then as you say, fly offinto the next chapter. So yeah,

(26:16):
that's really lovely. So beforewe wrap up, did you want to tell
listeners a bit more about wherethey can find you your business?
Your services?

Priscilla Stephan (26:24):
Yeah, absolutely. So I primarily Um,
so my website is PriscillaStephens Comm. I do have the
Soulfluent Leadership Archetypequiz, which is a three minute
free quiz, where you canidentify which of the five
Soulfluent archetypes you are, there's the mystic, the
visionary, the strategist, theExplorer and the divine

(26:45):
feminine, I am a true and truemystic. And how your archetype
informs every key aspect of yourbusiness? are you leading with
your gifts, your branding, yourmessaging, business, model, your
offers your pricing, and so on,and so on. And the Soulfluent
Leadership Business Guide iscoming out, which will show you

(27:06):
exactly how to identify yourarchetype and how to integrate
it into your business throughand through and in how you show
up and lead. Yeah, and Iprimarily work with women who
are service based, experienced, established, and who tend to be
at that place where they have alucky fortunate problem. They
have more clients than they knowwhat to do with where they've

(27:28):
outgrown their business model.
And they're trying to figure outhow can I work smarter or less
not compromise, or give up whatI've created so far, and
especially my income. And sousually the right clients, for
me are spiritual, and they wantboth business and soul, and they
want to work less. So usually, they work 20% less, make 20%
more, and they create a simpler, happier life. And that really is

(27:51):
congruent with their season oflife, and also their cycle of
business, you know, becausegrowing more and bigger isn't
always better. You know, sometimes less is better. You
know?

Angela Bryant (28:07):
