Speaker 01 (00:00):
Why are we addicted
to pain?
Whether it's emotional, spiritual or financial pain,
many of us find ourselves caughtin the loop of suffering.
Not because we love it, butbecause it's familiar.
(00:21):
In this episode, we'll look athow pain is part of our soul's
curriculum, the monetary cost ofliving from our wounds and how
to create an identity rooted inwholeness instead of survival.
If you're ready to stoprepeating the same old painful
patterns and start living fromyour power, this episode is for
(00:45):
you.
Speaker 00 (00:47):
Bye.
Speaker 01 (00:53):
Bless up and welcome
to The Answer, a show that
answers your questions from aspiritual, monetary, and
manifesting angle.
I'm your host, Anne-MariePizarro, Akashic Records guide
and success advocate forspiritual entrepreneurs and
creative visionaries.
Together, we'll explore theanswers your soul has been
(01:15):
waiting to ask.
Have you ever found yourself soused to struggle it actually
feels uncomfortable when thingsstart going well?
You sabotage peace, resisthelp, or expect the other shoe
(01:36):
to drop, even when everything isgoing fine.
That's not bad luck.
That's a pain-based identity,and it's more common than you
think.
Now, I want to be sensitive topeople out there who are really
suffering and in pain, and nomatter what they do, they can't
(02:00):
get past the physical, emotional, or mental
debilitation of pain.
This is real, and I want torecognize that for some cases,
this is something that is not alight subject.
So if you're hearing this andyou're thinking, this is just
some fluffy stuff, I want you tohold off and just listen.
(02:22):
There may be something thatcould help you beyond the
identity of pain.
According to the AkashicRecords, pain is often tied to
soul contracts, karmictimelines, or ancestral imprints
we choose to explore in thislifetime.
The Akashic Records are likethe collective library of
(02:44):
knowledge that holds all oursoul experiences, potentials,
and outcomes.
When we work with the AkashicRecords, we can understand why
we have this contract with painand how to transform it.
So if we're dealing with pain,we likely have a soul contract
to experience it and evolve fromit.
(03:06):
Our relationship with pain wasmeant to teach us resilience,
depth, and compassion.
But it was never meant to beour permanent address.
As in, we're not meant to liveour entire life from a vantage
point of being in pain.
The problem is, many of usdon't know who we are without
(03:31):
the pain.
So we unconsciously keeprecreating it.
We start to take on thesemindsets like pain becomes proof
we're working hard, or painbecomes the badge of our
worthiness, or pain becomes thepersonality, you know, the one
(03:52):
who overcomes, the survivor, theunderdog.
But let me pop your bubble.
Pain was always meant to be ateacher, not an identity.
Its purpose was to sharpen yourempathy, to reveal what's
unhealed and invite you inward.
But here's where we get stuck.
(04:15):
We mistake the lesson for whowe are.
We begin to identify with ourpain like it's part of our
personality and consciousness.
We start to think, I'm thesurvivor.
the fighter, the fixer.
I'm the one who has to doeverything the hard way.
And while those stories mighthave served you at one point,
(04:40):
they're not the full truth ofwho you are.
Because pain was only evermeant to initiate you, not
define you or continuouslypunish you throughout your life.
So if you're wondering why,What the hell is it initiating
me to?
Well, it's initiating you toself-care, being willing to take
(05:04):
proactive actions to heal, anddiscover a new way of being
while handling the discomfortand pain.
Something in you signed up toexperience pain in this lifetime
so you could actually heal fromit, not become it.
So when you ask, why are weaddicted to pain?
(05:27):
The answer is because the worldis addicted to negative
thinking and has been in painfor lifetimes upon lifetimes.
Historically, we come from avery violent past and there's a
lot of pain and suffering to getto where we're at.
Ask your ancestors.
(05:49):
They didn't have the easy-peasylife that we might have today.
And pain is here to teach ussomething very important, that
we have choices to help handlethe pain, whether it's physical,
emotional, mental, orspiritual.
Now, pain does cause people tocome together, commiserate, and
(06:13):
share their thoughts andfeelings around suffering.
From this comes the identityand a feeling of fitting in.
But this is a trap, my friend.
The moment you shift fromidentifying with the pain to
learning from it, you step backinto authorship of your story.
(06:33):
See, pain opens the door, butlove is what walks you through
it.
You're not here to repeat yourwounds.
You're here to alchemize them, heal them, and become victorious
in living your life beyondsuffering.
It is absolutely possible.
(06:56):
And when you choose to becomethat version of you that exists
beyond the pain, you setyourself free and you continue
to write your story of howyou're living this life to its
fullest.
So if pain is tied to our soullessons, how does it play out in
(07:20):
our financial reality?
Coming up next, we'll explorehow our addiction to pain
affects money, power, and thesystems we operate in.
Unknown (07:34):

(08:39):
All right, look around.
Our world is literallystructured to profit from pain.
News cycles, marketing, medicine, social media, they all
monetize suffering.
And guess what?
Most of us have unconsciouslybought into that paradigm.
(09:02):
You know, the one that tells usPain equals progress.
Suffering equals worth.
And exhaustion means we'redoing it right.
We're raised in a world thatromanticizes the hustle,
glorifies the grind, andworships the martyr.
(09:24):
In the business world, we'retold no pain, no gain.
In spirituality, we hear youmust suffer to be enlightened.
And in relationships, we findout if it hurts, it means it
matters.
The result is we begin toexpect pain.
(09:46):
We normalize it.
We even fear life without itbecause it's become so tightly
woven into our identity andself-worth.
I once worked with a beautifulclient who was deeply averse to
receiving money.
She was a talented channel andhealer, but she felt like
(10:08):
receiving money for her workfelt icky and beneath her.
So I watched this interestingcycle develop in her life.
She'd experienced a crisis,like having a health issue
flaring up.
and she would need to raise acertain amount of money to pay
for her treatments.
So she'd put herself out there, but she always discounted her
(10:33):
rates.
So she'd get overwhelmed with aflood of requests and become
overbooked, which caused herphysical symptoms to flare up
and even become more challengingbecause she was coming from a
place of stress.
She just made just enough topay for the treatments.
(10:55):
But then she would feel madafterwards that she had to spend
it on herself.
And even more resentful thatshe had to work with clients in
order to get paid.
So here's another layer of thismoney discussion that we just
don't talk about enough.
We often use money wisely.
(11:17):
as a painkiller and then feelpain when the money is gone.
Think about it.
How many times have you boughtsomething impulsively just to
feel better or spent money on aluxury to soothe emotional
emptiness?
And then the guilt hits.
The credit card statementarrives.
(11:39):
The inner critic pipes up.
And then we enter the painloop.
And this is what it looks like.
We experience the pain, so thenwe spend to numb, which then
triggers financial fear andactually accelerates more pain,
(11:59):
which causes us to go into moreavoidance, which amplifies more
scarcity.
The pain-money cycle kepthappening to my client, and she
often felt like she was bad withmoney.
Many of us feel similar when itcomes to our own money and pain
(12:21):
cycle.
And when it shows up, itreveals something powerful.
Most of us aren't spendingbased on value.
We're spending based on woundedemotions.
And pain has become both thereason we spend and the
punishment when we do.
Unknown (12:41):
Music
Speaker 01 (12:42):
Thank you so much
for joining us.
This is what it looks like tomove beyond the pain and money
(13:08):
paradigm.
You no longer make emotionalpurchases to feel better.
You stop seeing money as yourmedicine and start treating it
like the mirror it is.
One that reflects your currentlevel of self-trust,
self-respect and spiritualsovereignty.
That means you're empowered atmaking sound financial decisions
(13:32):
because you're better.
The truth is, pain was nevermeant to manage your bank
account.
Your clarity, yourconsciousness, and your capacity
to receive were always meant todo that.
So if you're wondering, why arewe addicted to pain and how
(13:53):
does it affect our money?
The answer is because it'sfamiliar, and our nervous system
associates struggle and painwith safety, identity, and
worth, especially if we've beenconditioned to believe we must
suffer to succeed.
This pain-based mindset showsup in our money and wealth by
(14:15):
keeping us in cycles ofundercharging, overspending to
self-soothe, or avoidingabundance because we don't feel
we've earned it.
The result is a financialreality that mirrors our wounds
instead of our worth.
So if you want to live a lifefree from addiction to pain, We
(14:37):
must choose to heal the root ofour suffering and shift into our
empowered state of receiving.
That my friend is the big workhere.
Music All right, we've coveredsome big topics around pain,
spirituality, and money.
(14:59):
It's a doozy, but we've gotsomething really special coming
up next.
We'll explore how to createfrom wholeness, not woundedness,
and what it means to transformpain into power and purpose.
Don't go away.
We'll be right back.
We'll see you next time.

calling in.
The link is in the show notes,so come say hi and let's rise
together.
Now, there's been a consistenttheme in our previous episodes
and it includes this too.
(16:17):
You can't manifest miracles oranything you want while
anchoring your energy insuffering.
If pain is your energeticbaseline, you're unconsciously
resisting the ease, joy, andabundance you say you want.
And here's the kicker.
(16:38):
You may not even realize you'redoing it.
Your pain cycle may be asubconscious operating system,
and it's time for you to getahead of what's running the
show.
Manifesting is a creativeprocess, not a coping mechanism.
Thank you so much for joiningus.
(17:11):
one that is rooted inpossibility so if you want to
create a new identity beyondpain here are three suggestions
(17:35):
to consider number one name thepattern identify where the pain
still defines you is it in yourbusiness your relationship or
your self-talk it's important tobring it to the surface and be
willing to see it so you canactually get ahead of it Number
(17:56):
two, honor the pain, but pleasedon't worship it.
Pain is here to teach yousomething.
Think it, but don't let itbecome the throne you sit on and
make decisions from.
Number three, create a newstory.
(18:17):
It's time for you to adopt andaffirm a new mindset, such as I
create my life.
Through love, joy, and divinealignment, I no longer need to
suffer to succeed.
So if you're wondering how tomanifest while you're addicted
(18:38):
to pain, the answer is youcan't.
However, you absolutely canchange.
Pain, especially if it's partof your daily living reality,
doesn't have to stop you ordefine you.
can become the point where youbegin to step back into your
(19:00):
power and take conscious controlof what you want, how you
think, how you feel, and how tobe.
Manifesting a life beyond painis available to you.
There are many people in theworld who successfully manage to
reach this.
(19:20):
I truly believe it's possiblefor you and I even encourage you
to think of who you would needto become to live beyond the
pain.
This is the identity you werealways meant to exist in.
So, are we addicted to pain?
(19:44):
In many ways, yes.
But addiction isn't thedestiny.
It's just a pattern.
And patterns, they can behealed.
The answer is you are not yourpain.
You are the one who transformsit.
And in our next episode, we'lltalk about another sneaky
(20:06):
trickster energy leak that keepsus stuck.
How to overcome distractions.
We'll explore why.
why your energy feelsscattered, how distraction pulls
you from your purpose, and howto anchor in deep focus, both
spiritually, practically, andpowerfully.
(20:28):
Until then, friend, be kind toyourself in your story.
And remember that ease andchoice are your birthright in
the present moment, and pain canbecome part of your past.
Speaker 00 (20:44):
No
Speaker 01 (20:49):
matter how you look
at it, you're always making
decisions every single day.
Some of these decisions keepyou aligned on your soul's path
and others are simply respondingto circumstances around you.
With these decisions comequestions like, what's the next
best step?
When you tune in to the answer, both the podcast and your inner
(21:13):
knowing, you open the door tothe insight, clarity, and trust
you need to keep going, onealigned step at a time.
