In the 11th episode of “The Announcer’s Hour” podcast, Knight Jarecki joins me to chat about his time at the University of Oregon and his duties as the voice of the Springfield Drifters in the West Coast League.
Jarecki is a Sports/News Broadcaster with Brooke Communications (KSKR - 92.3 FM, 1490 AM The Score) and the play-by-play voice of the WCL’s Springfield Drifters.
With a love for the Pacific Northwest, Jarecki graduated from the University of Oregon’s Journalism school. At UO, Jarecki served as the Sports Director of KWVA 88.1 FM, Oregon’s student run radio station. In addition to serving as a broadcaster for the station, Pac-12 Network, ESPN+, OSAA, and the Conejo Oaks, the Oregon graduate created articles on Oregon athletics and games.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
