In the fourth episode of “The Announcer’s Hour” podcast, Cal Friedman joins me to discuss his broadcasting career and stories as he excels in the middle of the U.S.
Friedman is currently in Garden City, Kansas and serves as the voice of Garden City Community College and Garden City High School. In addition, Friedman is the Sports Director at Western Kansas News. Soon, Friedman will be in Kansas City to call games for the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Association.
Friedman spent four years at the University of Miami and called Hurricanes football, baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, soccer, and volleyball for WVUM 90.5 FM. While in Miami, Friedman worked on the UMTV show “SportsDesk” and spent time as a writer for CaneSport and The Miami Hurricane.
