This episode of the KTBS political podcast “The App-Arklatex People and Politics” features a conversation with Sammy Wyatt—a candidate for the U.S. Senate from Louisiana. Wyatt is running for the seat currently held by Senator Bill Cassidy; and that field is getting crowded.
However, Wyatt says he is unbothered by the number of candidates on the Republican side of the ledger, proudly espousing what he calls his “outsider” status.
Wyatt has an interesting background; he was a law enforcement officer and a member of the Bossier City Police SWAT Team—Special Weapons and Tactics. He’s also an experienced investigator into fraud, waste and abuse; something he believes will be a strength if he’s elected to the Senate.
